1. 'Trump peace deal to make Jerusalem suburb Palestinian capital' - Jerusalem Post

The Abu Dis neighborhood in east Jerusalem will be the capital of a Palestinian state in US President Donald Trump's planned peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid said Monday.

"Over the weekend, different sources began saying that in the American paper that will be presented next month, Abu Dis will be mentioned as the capital of Palestine," Lapid said at a Yesh Atid faction meeting. Lapid argued that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must know about this plan and agreed to it. "This brings up two questions," Lapid said. "One, is the two-state solution back on the table with the prime minister's agreement? Two, is Abu Dis acceptable to Netanyahu as the future Palestinian capital?

"I know that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't give interviews, but there's a limit to his vagueness. If it's true, the Israeli public needs to know," Lapid said. (Read more)

- Father God, we are grieved to read this news today, and we pray in the Spirit as we await further clarification as this policy unfolds, in Your name, amen.

- "In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." (Romans 8:26,27)

2. White House pushes ahead with Mideast peace plan - AP

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Trump administration is aiming to roll out its much-hyped but long-delayed Middle East peace plan next month amid signs it may further alienate the Palestinians by slashing millions of dollars in funding for humanitarian and development projects in the West Bank and Gaza.

Five U.S. officials and a congressional aide say the administration intends to release the peace plan in mid- to late-June, shortly after the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, although they cautioned that the timing could slip depending on developments in the region. They say the plan's main authors - President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner and Trump's special envoy for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt - have already begun quietly briefing select allies and partners on elements of the proposal. 3. Israeli Defense Minister, Arab MK in Ferocious War of Words - Algemeiner

sraeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Israeli-Arab Member of Knesset Ayman Odeh conducted a ferocious war of words on Sunday following a controversy over the injury of an Arab demonstrator in Haifa.

According to Maariv, Jafar Farah's leg was broken during an altercation with police at a protest against Israel's actions on the Gaza border over the past week, in which dozens of Palestinians have been killed during organized demonstrations, many identified as Hamas members.

After Farah was injured, Odeh reportedly accompanied him to the hospital where he began to abuse the police officers present, calling them "zero" and "garbage." In Hebrew, both insults have stronger connotations than their English equivalents.

In response to the reports, Lieberman tweeted, "Every day that Ayman Odeh and his collaborators walk free and insult police officers is a failure of the enforcement authorities. The place for these terrorists is not in the Knesset but in jail. The time has come for them to pay the price for their actions." (Read more)

4. Liberman: Hamas is holding 2 million Palestinians hostage in Gaza - JOL News

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman accused Hamas of holding the Palestinians in Gaza hostage following the UN Human Rights Council's decision to investigate Israel for the high death toll in the violent clashes this week along the border. He also said that the terrorist group remains intent on destroying Israel.

On Friday evening, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman slammed the UN Human Rights Council's decision to investigate Israel for the Gaza border clashes. "The Human Rights Council hasn't ever contacted Hamas demanding that the Red Cross be able to evaluate our people they are holding captive-but in this case, they immediately jump," Liberman told Hadashot news.

"You need to understand: there are two million people who have been taken hostage by Hamas," Liberman added, referring to the population in Gaza. Liberman also said that there is no chance of Israel changing its diplomatic orientation toward Gaza before Hamas returns the Israeli civilians and bodies of fallen IDF soldiers that are being held captive in the coastal enclave. 5. Danon to UNHRC: Investigate Hamas's war crimes - Israel National News

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, responded on Friday to the UN Human Rights Council's (UNHRC) decision to establish a Commission of Inquiry to examine possible war crimes committed by Israel during the recent confrontations on the Gaza border.

"The fact that this shameful decision was made even after Hamas officials admitted that the vast majority of those killed were terrorists proves, once again, that nothing can separate this Council from its hatred of Israel. The day this Council investigates the war crimes of Hamas is the day it can be called the Human Rights Council," said Danon.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, condemned the "hypocrisy and absurdity" of the UN Human Rights Council after the vote.

"Israel totally rejects the resolution of the UN Human Rights Council, that once again has proven itself to be a body made up of a built-in anti-Israeli majority, guided by hypocrisy and absurdity," the Israeli foreign ministry said in a statement. (Read more)

6. Erdogan: No difference between Nazis' actions and Israel's - Israel National News

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday compared Israel's actions against Palestinian Arabs in Gaza to the Nazi persecution of the Jews in World War II.

"There is no difference between the atrocity faced by the Jewish people in Europe 75 years ago and the brutality that our Gaza brothers are subjected to," he told a summit of Islamic leaders in Istanbul, according to AFP.

Erdogan had called the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul following the deaths of some 60 Gazans in the violent riots along the Gaza border.

He added that the leadership of a people "who were subjected to all kinds of torture in the concentration camps during World War II is attacking the Palestinians with methods similar to the Nazis."

"I will say openly and clearly that what Israel is doing is banditry, brutality and state terror," he charged. (Read more)

7. Suffering chest pains, Abbas taken to hospital for the third time in a week - Times of Israel
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was taken to a Ramallah hospital Sunday for the third time in a week. A Palestinian official told the Associated Press Abbas had a fever.

His office said Abbas was undergoing a followup examination after having surgery in his ear Tuesday, and that doctors said he was in "satisfactory" condition.

A PA source earlier told the Ynet news website the Palestinian leader had been suffering from chest pains. "It might be pneumonia," the source said. "He's being examined at the hospital." (Read more)

The Daily Brief

1. Trump to 'demand' Justice probe whether feds spied on campaign for political purposes - Fox News

President Trump said Sunday that he will officially demand that the Justice Department investigate whether federal agents infiltrated or surveilled his 2016 presidential campaign for political purposes and whether the preceding Obama administration was behind such action.

"I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes -- and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!" the president tweeted.

Trump, late last week, began accusing the Justice Department of trying to frame him by planting a spy in his campaign -- an allegation his own lawyer said might not be true.

Promoting a theory that is circulating, Trump quoted Fox Business anchor David Asman and tweeted Friday: "Apparently the DOJ put a Spy in the Trump Campaign. This has never been done before and by any means necessary, they are out to frame Donald Trump for crimes he didn't commit." (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You that it's only by Your mercy, grace, and power that President Trump has survived so far. We ask that You continue to hold him up, bring strength to his heart, and protect him from the plans of the enemy.

- "He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday." (Psalm 37:6)

2. FBI informant met with three Trump advisers during campaign, report says - Fox News

The FBI's Russia investigation targeting the Trump campaign involved a top-secret informant who served in three previous Republican administrations and has deep ties to American and British intelligence officials, according to reports.

The source, said to be a 73-year-old professor from University of Cambridge in the U.K., met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos in the summer of 2016, according to the reports. The informant also reportedly met with Trump co-chair Sam Clovis in August 2016.

The role played by the source is now at the center of a battle that has pitted President Trump against his own Justice Department and fueled the president's attacks on the special counsel Russia probe, The Washington Post reported.

"If the FBI or DOJ was infiltrating a campaign for the benefit of another campaign, that is a really big deal," Trump tweeted Saturday while calling on the FBI to release documents Republicans in Congress have demanded about the informant.

In another tweet Friday, Trump said that if the reports were true that the FBI planted a representative into his campaign for president it would be the "all time biggest political scandal." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that if the reports on this infiltration are true, You prevent the perpetrators from continuing to destroy the fabric of America.

- "The Lord preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy."
(Psalm 145:20)

3. US vows 'strongest sanctions in history' on Iran, will 'crush' terror proxies - Times of Israel

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the Trump administration was preparing to impose "the strongest sanctions in history" on Tehran after withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal earlier this month, and laid out a laundry list of demands for a new treaty, in his first major speech outlining Washington's strategy for curtailing the Islamic Republic's nuclear ambitions and its regional adventurism.

"We will apply unprecedented financial pressure on the Iranian regime," Pompeo told a crowd gathered at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank based in the nation's capital.

"The sting of sanctions will only grow more painful if the regime does not change course from the unacceptable and unproductive path it has chosen for itself and the people of Iran," he added. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that this new strategy will protect the United States, Israel and western allies from the harmful actions of Iran.

- "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding." (Proverbs 3:13)

4. Trump praises Haspel, thanks CIA officers at swearing-in ceremony - NBCNews

In a ceremony attended by President Trump and Vice President Pence, Gina Haspel took the oath of office to become the first female CIA Director. Haspel thanked generations of female intelligence officers for their "remarkable courage and dedication," adding that she's "extremely proud to follow in their footsteps." (View the swearing in ceremony here.)

- Father, thank You for placing Gina Haspel as the head of the CIA. We pray for her success in the days ahead, amen.

- "Pray for . . . all in authority . . ." (I Timothy 2:1)

5. Mueller said he could wrap up probe by Sept. 1 if he can interview Trump by mid-July, Giuliani tells Fox News

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has told President Trump's legal team he should be able to wrap up the Russia investigation by Sept. 1 if he is able to interview Trump by mid-July, Rudy Giuliani told Fox News on Sunday.

Giuliani said he and Mueller spoke about an end date to the investigation approximately two weeks ago. During that conversation, Giuliani told Mueller that any interview of Trump by the special counsel would be contingent on knowing when the probe would wrap up. Giuliani added that he wants Mueller's investigation wrapped up by Sept. 1 so that it doesn't affect Republican chances in November's midterm elections. He said the date refers only to aspects of the investigation related to Trump, as opposed to court cases involving former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign manager Paul Manafort and others. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that if this is a trap set for the President he will not fall for it in the name of hurrying to get rid of Mueller. We pray that You will stop this probe from continuing.

- ". . . the unjust knows no shame." (Zephaniah 3:5d)

6. Trump announces VA secretary nominee - Fox News

President Trump announced Friday that he's nominating Acting Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie to lead the massive and embattled agency.

The president made the announcement during remarks at a summit on prison reform at the White House. He said he was surprising Wilkie, and that his nominee didn't yet know about his decision.

The decision follows a tumultuous selection process. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for a swift confirmation hearing for Robert Wilkie, and we bind tightly the voices that would attempt to stop or to block his confirmation. In Your name, amen.

- "I will go before you and make the crooked places straight." (Isaiah 45:3a)

7. Mnuchin says US has deal with China to cut trade deficit, will hold off on tariffs - Fox News

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said Sunday that the U.S. and China -- the world's two biggest economies -- have reached a tentative deal to cut trade deficits that includes the U.S. putting China tariffs on hold, an agreement that potentially averts an economic standoff that would have global impact.

"We have made very meaningful progress, and we agreed on a framework," Mnuchin told "Fox News Sunday" after weekend talks in Washington with Chinese officials about cutting the U.S. trade deficit with China, which last year reached $337 billion. "We're putting the trade war on hold."

Mnuchin, who was the country's lead negotiator in the talks, said the tariffs will be put on hold while the countries try to execute the framework agreement. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord that if China is serious about equalizing trade there will be a huge benefit for America. We ask, however, the You bring discernment to our leaders to watch for lies and subterfuge as has happened in the past.

- "A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape." (Proverbs 19:5)

8. Hillary Clinton to get Harvard medal for 'transformative impact on society'- Fox News

Hillary Clinton will receive Harvard's prestigious Radcliffe Medal for her "transformative impact on society," according to the Ivy League university. She will receive the award Friday as part of the school's graduation-week activities.

Clinton is a former first lady, New York senator, secretary of State and two-time Democratic presidential candidate. Her 2016 White House bid was damaged severely by an FBI investigation into her use of private email servers to send and receive classified information while at the State Department. Organizers at Harvard say Clinton was chosen for the award because she's a "champion for human rights," a "skilled legislator" and "an advocate of American leadership" on the world stage.

Former Secretary of State and 2001 Radcliffe Medalist Madeleine Albright will deliver a personal tribute to Clinton, and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey will take part in a keynote conversation with her Friday at the school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Previous medal recipients include Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and former Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-N.C. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that You, Holy Spirit, move upon the heart of Hillary Clinton, to bring truth, conviction and humility.

- "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." (John 16:8)

9. World Health Organization Holds Emergency Meeting as Deadly Ebola Reemerges and Threatens to Explode in the Congo - CBN

Health officials have discovered the virus has spread some 90 miles from the rural area where it was first reported last week to the crossroads city of Mbandaka, which is home to more than one million people.

"Mbandaka is on the banks of the Congo River and that means that it has connectivity right through to Kinshasa, in the Congolese hinterland, a town of more than 10 million people and it also connects through to neighboring countries such as the Central African Republic and Congo Brazzaville. So, this is a major, major game changer in the outbreak," says Dr. Peter Salama, deputy director-general of Emergency Preparedness and Response at the World Health Organization (WHO).

The news prompted an emergency meeting at WHO so health officials can determine the risk to the region and the world. So far, 45 cases have now been reported in Congo, and 514 people believed to have been in contact with those infected are being monitored as epidemiologists work to identify additional contacts. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You intervene to stop this horrific disease from spreading.

- "This far and no farther shall you go." (Job 38:11)

10. Hawaii volcano's two-story lava wall blocks crucial escape route, residents urged to steer clear of toxic cloud - Fox News

Lava gushing out of cracks caused by Hawaii's Kilauea volcano over the weekend formed a two-story wall blocking parts of a highway crucial for residents to escape. as authorities warn them to steer clear of the plumes of acid and extremely fine shards of glass billowing into the sky.

The active flows from some of the 22 fissures that have opened up on the Big Island since volcanic activity began more than two weeks created a 20-foot wall of lava on Highway 137. Scientists said the new lava is hotter and moves faster to cover a wider area. By Saturday night, the lava flow crossed over the highway, cutting off the route for thousands of residents in the Lower Puna communities, officials said. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will rescue those who are trapped and comfort those who have lost their homes.

Two people were killed and several others were injured on Sunday after a man drove his SUV into a North Carolina restaurant, in what police have described as a "domestic" incident.

Katelyn Self, a corporal with the Gaston County Sheriff's Office, was killed at the Surf and Turf Lodge in Bessemer City, officials announced at a news conference Sunday afternoon. The second victim - reportedly believed to be a family member - was not immediately identified.

Several other members of Self's family were injured in the incident, the Gaston Gazette reported, adding the driver to the vehicle was identified by friends as Roger Self, Kate Self's father and a businessman.

The news outlet reported that restaurant staff claimed Roger Self went with his family to the restaurant and had them seated. The father then allegedly went outside and drove his Jeep into the building. (Read more)

- Father, it is unfathomable to any of us why a dad would deliberately harm his own family. We pray for Your comfort for this family that has experienced a severe trauma. We ask for a mighty move of Your Spirit and repentance across this nation, destroying the mental illness that has caused so many deaths.

- "For great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol." (Psalm 86:13)

The power of truth and lies

Propagandizing truth makes a better lie. We've seen it in the past with Turkey's genocide of over a million Armenians between 1915-17, a model Adolph Hitler used in an alliance with Islam in the Holocaust. Blame the Armenians for the troubles faced by the Islamic Caliphate-the Ottoman Empire-and the masses will rally around the cause. Hitler did the same thing with Jews. Now, in attempting to revive the Caliphate, Turkey's "president" Recep Tayyip Erdogan is using the Jews to enrage the Muslim world against Israel. Erdogan claims Israel is no different than the Nazis because it killed Hamas terrorists trying to invade Israel's border with Gaza. The deaths, however, were not without legitimate cause.

Erdogan stirred the masses at a Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit to issue a final communiqué condemning Israel and the US for the massacre caused by moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem. The OIC is basing its arguments with lies. The first point in the communiqué states: "Condemn in the strongest terms the criminal actions of Israeli forces against the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where unarmed Palestinian civilians are exercising their legitimate right of peaceful protest against this inhumane and absolutely illegal occupation." Gaza is not occupied, but governed by the duly elected terrorist group Hamas. Also, the protest was extremely violent.

The communiqué said, "these crimes have been committed against the backdrop of the illegal decision by the U.S. Administration to officially move its embassy from Israel to the occupied City of Jerusalem, which has further emboldened the Israeli government in its reckless behavior towards civilian Palestinian population." The decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem is not illegal and Israel was only defending its border. Hamas admitted that of the 60 people killed, 50 were members of Hamas, who were instigating and leading the riots aimed at storming the Israeli border. Warning after warning was given that deadly force would be used if the invasion persisted.

Erdogan succeeded in getting the OIC to call for dispatching an international protection force to protect the "Palestinian" people. The communiqué also urged the UN to recognize ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. Herein evil is accusing others with lies of what it is doing. This all could be prophetic. Turkey, the capital of the last Islamic Caliphate, is attempting a revival under Erdogan's leadership by vilifying the Jews and Israel. The alignment of the empires in Daniel 2, 7 and Revelation 17 indicate this is perhaps Revelation 17:11 in the making, "And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into destruction"--Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, Roman, Islamic. The Islamic Ottoman Empire (the 7th head) was dealt a death blow in 1922. We may be seeing it come back to life.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Graduation Ceremonies in the News

Todd Starnes: Jesus banned -- School censors valedictorian's religious speech

Sam Blackledge had worked hard on his valedictorian address. He had written a wonderful speech declaring to his teachers and classmates that he is a follower of Jesus Christ. But administrators at West Prairie High School in Illinois would not let the 18-year-old deliver that speech - because the content was not appropriate for a high school graduation ceremony.

He was summoned to the principal's office just a few hours before the May 19th ceremony - where school and district administrator's delivered their edict. "They said they didn't want to make it a religious ceremony," Sam said on the "Todd Starnes Radio Show." "They told me that if I took out Christ I could say everything else."

The young man with the 4.0 grade point average pleaded his case - explaining that he only wanted to convey to the audience about how his personal relationship with Christ had impacted his life. "The principal told me it wasn't appropriate for the setting," Sam told me.

School leaders then said they feared those in the audience might think Sam was speaking on behalf of the school district. "I offered to begin my speech with a disclaimer but they turned that down, too - twice," he said.

Sam told me he was devastated. "I never felt that feeling before," he said. "It was terrible. I felt like I wanted to cry. I had basically - for months - I knew I wanted to talk about Christ in my graduation speech. For that to be taken away . . ."

School leaders gave Sam the opportunity to remove all the references to Christ - but he declined to do so. (Read more)

- Lord, the world grows more hostile to You day by day. As we traverse these dark times, we pray that Your Light would shine through us in spite of what is happening around us. We pray for Your Spirit to touch Sam and give him the courage to keep walking, leaving his disappointment behind.

- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5,6)

SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER

"Pray continually." (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Lyrics

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! That calls me from a world of care, And bids me at my Father's throne Make all my wants and wishes known. In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief And oft escaped the tempter's snare By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! The joys I feel, the bliss I share, Of those whose anxious spirits burn With strong desires for thy return! With such I hasten to the place Where God my Savior shows His face, And gladly take my station there, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! Thy wings shall my petition bear To Him whose truth and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bless. And since He bids me seek His face, Believe His Word and trust His grace, I'll cast on Him my every care, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! May I thy consolation share, Till, from Mount Pisgah's lofty height, I view my home and take my flight: This robe of flesh I'll drop and rise To seize the everlasting prize; And shout, while passing through the air, "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!"

About the Hymn:

During my residence at Coleshill, Warwickshire, England, I became acquainted with W. W. Walford, the blind preacher, a man of obscure birth and connections and no education, but of strong mind and most retentive memory. In the pulpit he never failed to select a lesson well adapted to his subject, giving chapter and verse with unerring precision and scarcely ever misplacing a word in his repetition of the Psalms, every part of the New Testament, the prophecies, and some of the histories, so as to have the reputation of "knowing the whole Bible by heart." He actually sat in the chimney corner, employing his mind in composing a sermon or two for Sabbath delivery, and his hands in cutting, shaping and polishing bones for shoe horns and other little useful implements. At intervals he attempted poetry. On one occasion, paying him a visit, he repeated two or three pieces which he had composed, and having no friend at home to commit them to paper, he had laid them up in the storehouse within. "How will this do?" asked he, as he repeated the following lines, with a complacent smile touched with some light lines of fear lest he subject himself to criticism. I rapidly copied the lines with my pencil, as he uttered them, and sent them for insertion in the Observer, if you should think them worthy of preservation.

Signs and Wonders

Astronomers have found the fastest-growing black hole ever seen, and it's got a monster appetite

Astronomers have found the fastest-growing black hole ever seen in the universe, and they're calling this one a monster with an appetite. It's growing so fast it can devour a mass the size of the sun every two days.

Researchers at Australian National University first discovered this supermassive black hole, also known as a quasar, when data from a telescope called the SkyMapper flagged it as an object of potential interest. Then they used data from the European Space Agency's Gaia satellite to determine how far away it was. They found that it took more than 12 billion years for the light from this massive black hole to reach Earth. It's the brightest quasar that can be seen in visual or ultraviolet light.

"The heat radiation from the matter falling into the black hole, which is the light we see, is a few thousand times brighter than our own Milky Way galaxy," Christian Wolf, the lead researcher on the university's team of astronomers, wrote in an email to CNN.

It calls existing science into question

The discovery of this massive black hole calls the existing science about black holes into question. Black holes have a speed limit that determines how fast they grow, which is proportional to their mass.

Right now, this massive black hole is the size of at least 20 billion suns. Going back in time about 1.2 billion years after the Big Bang using the speed limit formula, Wolf said this black hole must have started out as the size of 5,000 suns. Average black holes are about the size of 50 suns. So scientists are puzzled at how this massive black hole got so massive.

"So, either black holes can grow faster than the speed limit, but we don't know how that works, and we have not seen it yet in action, or there is an unknown way to make 5,000 solar mass black holes very close in time to the Big Bang," Wolf said. "But who knows what happened in the dark early ages of the universe?"

The discovery could give us more insight into the Big Bang, Wolf said.

The hunt is on to learn more

"Perhaps this is already telling us something about rather unusual processes close to or related to the Big Bang," he said. "What happened there that is not yet part of the standard picture?"

Wolf said it's likely that there are more of these massive black holes in the universe. In fact, this finding already shows that astronomers have overlooked bright and distant quasars hiding in plain sight. But the more they discover, the more questions they seem to come across.

"The hunt is on," Wolf said. "We want to get a complete picture of the demographics of fast-growing supermassive black holes in the universe, and see just how big is the problem which we have to solve." (CNN) Read more and view video here.

The Good News Corner

Former Gays Join in Spiritual Fight to Help Put Down Toxic California Bill: "Jesus Died for Those Who are in Pain"

Churches and ministries across California are rising up to fight a state bill that would limit how they minister to people who are struggling with same-sex attraction.
For Christian ministries, it's a battle for freedom of conscience and religious liberty. For the bill's supporters, it's a way to protect consumers.

AB2943 considers sexual orientation change efforts to be harmful and fraudulent. It outlaws advertising for such efforts and any business transaction that seeks to change sexual orientation, including behavior and gender expression.

This dramatic move could not only ban counseling but also church conferences and ministry events where a nominal fee is charged. It also outlaws efforts to simply reduce sexual or romantic attraction towards individuals of the same sex.

Perhaps those most concerned about the bill are those who have struggled with same-sex attraction and found freedom in Christ. (CBN/Charisma) Read more.

Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
