An Urgent Prayer Request:
TODAY!
IDF gears up for mass Gaza riots, warns that Hamas plans to 'massacre' Israelis
Over 100,000 Palestinians expected to take part in 'March of Return' protests on Monday; IDF fears hundreds may try to breach border fence, attack nearby Israeli towns
GAZA BORDER - The Israeli military is gearing up for fierce "March of Return" protests along the Gaza security fence on Monday, with more than 100,000 Palestinians expected to take part, and dire warnings from the IDF that hundreds plan to try breach the fence and carry out a "massacre" of Israeli civilians.
The protests are now set for Monday, to coincide with the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and not on Tuesday's Nakba Day, as was originally expected.
The Israel Defense Forces expects over 100,000 Palestinians to take part in the mass demonstrations and potentially as many as 200,000, something that would indicate a major victory for the Hamas terrorist group, which rules Gaza and has co-opted for its own ends what were originally slated to be weeks of nonviolent protests.
The army's primary fear during the expected riots is that dozens or hundreds of Palestinians, including Hamas members, will manage to break through the Gaza security fence and wreak havoc in one of the Israeli communities on the other side, attacking residents, starting fires, and destroying buildings.
The military believes Hamas will focus its energies on this style of mass, chaotic attack, but the IDF is also preparing for more direct armed combat, including attacks on troops along the border, or kidnappings of IDF soldiers, as has happened along the Gaza border in years past.
On Sunday night, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit released a dramatic video warning that Hamas wanted to "torch farmland" and massacre "innocent men, women, and children."
"On Monday May 14th the Hamas terrorist organization plans to send armed terrorists among 250,000 violent rioters to swarm and breach Israel's border with Gaza and enter Israeli communities," said the English language video. "Hamas plans to carry out a massacre in Israel. The Israel Defense Forces will not let them."
The IDF, however, is not relying on Egypt's persuasive powers and has dispatched two additional brigades to take positions along the Gaza border ahead of the anticipated riots. A third brigade was also deployed to the West Bank, the army said.
"The IDF's preparation includes the additional deployment of a number of combat battalions to the Gaza border, special forces, intelligence collection units, and snipers. In addition, the Central Command will also receive additional combat battalions and intelligence collection teams as reinforcement," the army said on Sunday.
The military also halted all exercises for conscripted soldiers, in order to focus on "handling violent riots," the army said. Additional soldiers have also been deployed to provide extra security to Israeli communities near the Gaza border. Military Intelligence does not believe that Hamas is currently interested in war, but expects that the coming days may see significant violence at the Gaza border.
. . . Initially, the IDF believed that these protests would reach their peak with Nakba Day on May 15, but Military Intelligence assessments now indicate that Hamas will seek to "piggyback" on the spectacle of Monday's US Embassy move in order to draw international attention to their cause. - Father God, we come before Your Throne of Grace, asking for mercy to help Israel in its time of need. Father God, You know how to come against her enemies, so we thank You for sending Your angelic host to assist Israel in today's anticipated battle. We pick up our own "weapons of warfare", standing with Israel in prayer, to decree that it is written: "When the enemy rushes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." In Your Name we pray, O Lord, amen.

1. Perfect Timing: America is about to make King David very proud! - World Israel News
Nearly 3000 years ago, in a landmark achievement, King David established Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Throughout history, ever since the Holy Temple stood in all its glory, through thousands of years of exile and until today, Jerusalem has remained the eternal capital of the Jewish People.
Once again, Jerusalem history is in the making. And to many, this is another example of the fulfillment of biblical prophesy.
For the first time in over 2000 years, a world power will recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel - and in a most dramatic way. This is historic!
. . . on December 6, 2017, Trump said that the US will formally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, reversing nearly seven decades of US policy. He then ordered the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem.
The move was expected to take years, but then came the shocker:
On February 23, 2018, Trump announced that the US will move its embassy to Jerusalem in less than three months, on May 14, 2018. The date coincides with the 70th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel. The timing was perfect - couldn't be better!

2. Hamas leader calls on rioters to breach Israel border fence - Israel National News
A senior Hamas official on Thursday urged "hundreds of thousands" of Arab rioters in Gaza to breach the border fence from Gaza into Israel at protests to coincide with next week's US embassy move to Jerusalem. In his first major briefing to international media since becoming Gaza head of the Islamist group in 2017, Yahya Sinwar implied he would like to see hundreds of thousands of Gazans infiltrating into Israel as part of more than a month of violent protests.
Asked what he wanted to see from riots on Monday and Tuesday, Sinwar said out Israel has never specifically defined its borders. "What's the problem with hundreds of thousands breaking through a fence that is not a border?" Sinwar said he hoped Israel would not shoot at what he called "peaceful" protests.

3. Europe has chosen disgrace - Israel National News
The honor of the West is once again being saved by America. Europe, the vapid and childish Venus, has chosen disgrace.
Europe wanted to open the Iranian market. It has no interest in Israel. Indeed, I will say more: in their intimate thoughts, in their "mental deal", most Europeans think that Israel, the country most at risk from a nuclearized Iran, is a burden, and that the Middle East would be more peaceful without a Jewish State.
The day after the US left the nuclear agreement with Iran, trying to build a Western alliance to stop Iranian expansionism, French President Macron called Iranian President Rouhani on the phone with the aim of "continuing to implement the nuclear agreement and to maintain regional stability".

4. Saudi Arabia warns it will develop nukes if Iran does - Times of Israel
WASHINGTON - Saudi Arabia will seek to develop its own nuclear weapons if Iran does, Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told CNN on Wednesday, amid spiraling tension between the regional rivals.
Asked whether Riyadh would "build a bomb itself" if Tehran seizes on Washington's withdrawal from the 2015 Iran deal to resume a nuclear weapons program, Jubeir said: "If Iran acquires nuclear capability we will do everything we can to do the same."
Oil-rich Saudi Arabia has long said it would match any Iranian weapons development, but Jubeir's renewed vow came after US President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of an accord designed to prevent Tehran's path to a bomb.
And it came amid growing tension between the Sunni kingdom and the Shiite Islamic Republic over Iran's support for the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who have been firing rockets across the border.
Riyadh, which leads a regional coalition that intervened in Yemen's civil war to fight the Houthis, accuses Iran of supplying the militia with ballistic missiles.
"These missiles are Iranian manufactured and delivered to the Houthis. Such behavior is unacceptable. It violates UN Resolutions with regards to ballistic missiles. And the Iranians must be held accountable for this," Jubeir told CNN.
"We will find the right way and at the right time to respond to this," he warned. "We are trying to avoid at all costs direct military action with Iran, but Iran's behavior such as this cannot continue. This amounts to a declaration of war."

5. Moscow says it won't supply advanced air defenses to Syria - Times of Israel
A Russian-made S-300 air defense system on display for the annual Defense Week, marking the 37th anniversary of the 1980s Iran-Iraq war, at Baharestan Square in Tehran, Iran, Sunday, September 24, 2017.
An aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Moscow has no current plans to supply an advanced air defense system to Syria. Vladimir Kozhin, a member of Putin's inner circle, told the Russian newspaper Izvestia that there has been no talk of delivering the S-300 system to Damascus. "So far, there has been no talk of deliveries of modern new systems," he said, adding that the Assad regime has "all that is needed."
According to the IDF, its strikes targeted the Russian-made long-range SA-5, also known as the S-200, which is the predecessor of the more advanced S-300 and S-400; the Russian high altitude SA-2, or S-75; the Russian short- to medium-range SA-22, also known as the Pantsir-S1; and the SA-17 medium-range air defense system, also known as the Buk.

6. Dinner diplomacy revealed: Netanyahu's genial encounter with UAE, Bahrain envoys - Times of Israel
Officially, their governments don't speak. The United Arab Emirates doesn't even formally recognize that Israel exists.
But an impromptu bit of dinner diplomacy between Israel's prime minister and a prominent Emirati ambassador sheds light on one of the worst-kept secrets in the Arab world: the quiet ties between Israel and some of its Arab neighbors that are increasingly coming out in the open as they find common cause against mutual foe Iran.
The venue back in March was Cafe Milano, the upscale Georgetown restaurant often frequented by powerful Washingtonians, from Barack Obama to Trump Cabinet members. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in town for an annual pro-Israel policy conference, was midway through dinner with his wife, Sara, when an unexpected request came his way.

7. Israel Air Force Strikes Gaza Attack Tunnel, Military Says - Haaretz
The Israeli military said the air force struck an attack tunnel in Gaza Saturday evening. Explosions were heard in the Strip's north.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the tunnel was located a few meters from Israeli territory and, upon completion, would have led to the Israeli community of Kibbutz Erez.
Palestinian reports said Israel fired seven missiles toward an agricultural area east of the city of Beit Hanoun. No casualties have been reported.

1. Freed Americans Give Mike Pence Note Quoting Psalm 126 After Returning From North Korea - Christian Post
The three American Christians who were released this week from North Korea gave Vice President Mike Pence a note citing Psalm 126 as a thanksgiving of freedom during their meeting early Thursday morning.
"It was an amazing moment I'll never forget . . . when three Americans stepped onto the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews and gave me a signed personal note with Psalm 126 on the back," Pence wrote in his post. "To these men of faith and courage - God bless you and welcome home!" Pence posted a picture of the note, which featured the first three verses of the Psalm.
The three men issued a statement upon their return early Thursday morning thanking God and the Trump administration.
"We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary [of State Mike] Pompeo and the people of the United States for bringing us home," the prisoners said in their statement. Through his translator, Kim Dong-chul explained that "it's like a dream" to be returning to the U.S. "And we are very, very happy," Kim, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was sentenced to 10 years on spying charges in April 2016, said. (Read more)
- God, we are thankful for the intervention of President Trump regarding the release of these three American prisoners from prison in North Korea. May this action be reenacted for all Americans who are held in foreign prisons. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!" (Psalm 150:6)
2. Pompeo: US Hopes to Have NKorea as 'Close Partner' Not Enemy - CBN
The United States aspires to have North Korea as a "close partner" and not an enemy, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday, noting that the U.S. has often in history become good friends with former adversaries. Pompeo said he had told North Korean leader Kim Jong Un of that hope during his brief visit to Pyongyang earlier this week, during which he finalized details of the upcoming June 12 summit between Kim and President Donald Trump and secured the release of three Americans imprisoned in the country.
He said his talks with Kim on Wednesday had been "warm," constructive," and "good" and that he made clear that if North Korea gets rid of its nuclear weapons in a permanent and verifiable way, the U.S. is willing to help the impoverished nation boost its economy and living stands to levels like those in prosperous South Korea. "We had good conversations about the histories of our two nations, the challenges that we have had between us," Pompeo told reporters at a news conference with South Korea's visiting foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha. "We talked about the fact that America has often in history had adversaries who we are now close partners with and our hope that we could achieve the same with respect to North Korea."
Kang praised the upcoming meeting between Trump and Kim in Singapore as an "historic" opportunity but added a few notes of skepticism as well. She said the U.S. troop presence in the South for the past 65 years has played a "crucial role for deterrence," peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. "The next few weeks will be critical, requiring air-tight coordination between our two countries," Kang said, noting that South Korean President Moon Jae-in would be in Washington to see Trump later this month.
Pompeo said there would need to be "complete" and "verifiable" denuclearization that would remove North Korea as a threat to the South, the United States and the rest of the world. He said a massive inspection and monitoring regime would be required to ensure the North's compliance."I think there is complete agreement about what the ultimate objectives are," Pompeo said, though he declined to offer more detail. (Read more)
- O Father, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon all the leaders and people in North Korea and turn their hearts toward righteousness and honesty in all their dealings with President Trump. We ask that You cause Kim Jong Un to honor his word to get rid of their nuclear weapons in a verifiable manner both now and in the days to come. We ask, too, for unusual wisdom to be granted to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as he prepares the way for President Trump to enter into these negotiations. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.
- "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (Psalm 32:8)
3. Exiting Iran deal, Trump signals: 'America resumes regional leadership' - JNS
In announcing on May 8 that the United States would be immediately withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal-also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA-U.S. President Donald Trump made an about-face on the deal negotiated barely three years by his immediate predecessor, President Barack Obama. In the years since the 2015 signing of JCPOA, Iranian aggression throughout the Middle East, particularly in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, has increased exponentially, posing direct threats to some of America's closest allies in the Middle East.
Yet withdrawing from the JCPOA represents a radical shift in U.S. policy, confusing many European allies and world powers who were convinced by the previous administration to support a plan that now represents, at best, a failed attempt to subdue Iranian nuclear pursuits, or at worst, one of the biggest foreign-policy blunders in U.S. history.
According to David Wurmser, a former Mideast adviser to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and special assistant to John R. Bolton at the State Department, one of the most crucial elements of the president's speech is "the signal that America has resumed its regional leadership role." Wurmser suggests that by reversing the previous policy, the United States has "accepted the responsibility again of ensuring that American interests will drive policy, and that while our alliances are appreciated, they are to be understood in the context of interests, not instead of them. Our national interests are absolute in informing our policy and take precedence over our international relations when the latter conflict with the former," he said. With Trump's speech, Wurmser suggests that "the benchmarks of policy were re-anchored onto reality, rather than delusion." (Read more)
- Father God, protect President Trump in his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. He has inside knowledge that no one else has with regard to the longstanding outcome of his decision. We pray that the Lord will send angels to cover the President and this issue with the power and direction of God. We pray in the mighty Name of Jesus, amen.
- "They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears us not. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error." (I John 4:5-6)
4. Former Obama Officials Suggest European States Expel U.S. Ambassadors Over Iran Deal Withdrawal - FreeBeacon
Two former Obama administration officials suggested in a New York Times op-ed published Thursday that European countries allied with the United States could expel American ambassadors in retaliation for President Donald Trump withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal. "Europe Doesn't Have to Be Trump's Doormat," wrote Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson. Simon served as the National Security Council's senior director for the Middle East and North Africa, while Stevenson served as the regional director for political-military affairs.
The two men urged European countries to go beyond "mere words" and counter Trump's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal with real, concrete actions. "The European Union could, for instance, announce the withdrawal of member-states' ambassadors from the United States," they suggested. "Isn't this what states do when diplomatic partners breach solemn agreements, expose them to security risks and threaten to wreak havoc on their economies?" Simon and Stevenson went on to suggest that, depending on how the United States reacted, "European capitals might even follow up with expulsion of American ambassadors." (Read more)
- Father God, we pray that You will stand against any retaliation from other countries regarding President Trump's decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. Disband any and all enemies working against our President by the power of the Blood of Jesus and pull their efforts down. We pray in the Name of Jesus
- "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)
5. Senate to scrutinize initial intel report concluding Russia meddled in election to boost Trump - Washington Times
The lead drafters of the explosive January 2017 U.S. intelligence report asserted that Russia acted covertly to boost Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election will be privately grilled by the Senate next week. Late Friday, the Senate Intelligence Committee announced it will hold a closed-door hearing on the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) "Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections" to evaluate the "research and writing" that went into the document. Witnesses to provide testimony include former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former National Security Administration Director Admiral Mike Rogers. Former FBI Director James Comey, whom Mr. Trump fired almost a year ago, has also been invited.
The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, according to a press release from committee chairman Sen. Richard Burr, Republican North Carolina, and the panel's top Democrat, Rep. Mark Warner, Virginia. The 15-page ICA report was issued two week's before Mr. Trump took the oath of office in January 2017 and is considered a watershed moment in American history. Never before had the CIA, National Security Agency and FBI - the joint authors of the report - challenged the legitimacy of a U.S. presidential victory.
Ever since its release Mr. Trump has dismissed the document's findings and pointed to it as evidence that "an American deep state" consisting of establishment Washington figures and agencies - has conspired to undermine his presidency. Russian officials have repeatedly denied any meddling in the 2016 vote. (Read more)
- Father, we thank You that, week by week and step by step, the true facts of the work of the Deep State to undermine the presidency of Donald Trump are being revealed. We thank You that we serve You in the Deeper State - the One that reveals all truth -- and we abide in You, Abba, upon the Deepest State, the Rock of our Salvation, knowing that You have all of these scandals under Your control, in Your Holy Name, amen.
- " . . . be sure your sin will find you out. . . " (Numbers 32:23b)
6. BRINK OF COLLAPSE: Obama's FBI Spied On Trump More Than Previously Thought, New Report Suggests - Daily Wire
On Thursday, an analysis from The Wall Street Journal's Kimberley Strassel on the latest developments in the Justice Department's decision to allow House Intelligence Committee members to view classified information about "a top-secret intelligence source" in the FBI's investigation into the Trump campaign revealed that the FBI may have spied on the campaign more than previously thought.
The bureau already has some explaining to do. Thanks to the Washington Post's unnamed law-enforcement leakers, we know Mr. Nunes's request deals with a "top secret intelligence source" of the FBI and CIA, who is a U.S. citizen and who was involved in the Russia collusion probe. When government agencies refer to sources, they mean people who appear to be average citizens but use their profession or contacts to spy for the agency. Ergo, we might take this to mean that the FBI secretly had a person on the payroll who used his or her non-FBI credentials to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.
Strassel continues by noting the different stonewalling tactics the DOJ has used to prevent the information from coming out "strongly suggests that whatever is in these files is going to prove very uncomfortable to the FBI." Strassel's analysis falls in line with comments made this week by CNN law enforcement analyst and retired FBI supervisory special agent James A. Gagliano. Gagliano tweeted: "Sources with knowledge of the impending DOJ Inspector General Report confirm that it will be a fairly damning indictment of FBI's seventh floor during the Comey era. 'It's worse than expected,' seems to be the consistent theme." (Read more)
- O righteous Father, we earnestly pray that You will dispatch myriads of angels to uncover all the corruption that was done against President Trump during the election. Lord, rout out the enemy in its entirety. We pray in the powerful Name of Jesus.
- "For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad." (Mark 4:22)
7. Six More Judicial Nominees Advance in Trump Bid to Reshape Judiciary - Daily Signal
President Donald Trump is completing a strong week, and is set to kick off a strong next week, in his push to reshape the federal courts, with Senate Republicans forcing votes on six more of his judicial nominees. "This week, the Senate will consider another slate of extremely well-qualified nominees for seats on the federal bench," McConnell said in a statement Monday. "A thoughtful, independent, and expert judiciary is a cornerstone of our constitutional order. It's been the case since the very beginning."
Moreover, six of the 16 of the Trump-nominated circuit court judges confirmed have replaced Democrat appointees, Axios reported. That's important because circuit courts are the final stop for a case before it reaches the Supreme Court. In cases the high court declines to hear, the circuit courts are the last word. Several of the nominees to be voted on this week have has distinguished careers, including working for the White House or for one-time independent counsel Kenneth Starr in the 1990s. Others were federal prosecutors or lower court judges.
"The president is having a particularly significant impact on the 7th Circuit," Carrie Severino, chief counsel for the Judicial Crisis Network, told The Daily Signal, referring to the Chicago-based federal appeals court. "Only one circuit, the 3rd Circuit, is shifting the balance of power" from a Democrat majority to a Republican majority, Severino said, referring to the Philadelphia-based appeals court, which handles cases from Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. (Read more)
- Father God, we praise You for this good report. We ask that all of the President's nominees to these circuit courts be approved by the Senate and take their places on these benches as soon as possible. Thank You, Lord, amen.
- "Then I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city." (Isaiah 1:26)
8. Trump signs act strengthening Holocaust restitution efforts - Jerusalem Post
US President Donald Trump signed into law a bill meant to hold accountable European countries that have been slow to return stolen assets to victims of the Holocaust. The Justice for Uncompensated Survivors Today Act, or the JUST Act, passed the Senate in December and the House of Representatives late last month. The law requires the State Department to issue reports on the progress of restitution efforts by 47 countries that in 2009 pledged to recover or compensate "Holocaust-related confiscations made during the Holocaust era between 1933 and 1945."
All of those countries are signatories of the Terezin Declaration on Holocaust Era Assets and Related Issues, a 2009 document that committed nations to pay restitution before the last generation of Holocaust survivors passes away. The JUST Act is an attempt to apply outside pressure on the signatories to fulfill their commitments. "This is a powerful statement of America's unwavering commitment to supporting Holocaust survivors in their quest for justice," said Gideon Taylor, chair of operations for the World Jewish Restitution Organization, an Israeli NGO which strongly supported the legislation. "We thank President Trump for supporting the bill, as well as the US Congress for passing it unanimously. We extend our utmost gratitude to Senators Baldwin and Rubio and Representatives Crowley and Smith, for their heartfelt leadership on this issue." (Read more)
- Lord God, remove anyone who is resisting the return of stolen assets to victims of the Holocaust. Let the fire of God go forth and burn up the entanglements that persist in withholding these assets from their rightful owners. Open the gates wide and let the assets be released to these Holocaust survivors. We pray and believe You to do this speedily, Lord God. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." (Psalm 24:7-8)
9. DOJ, DHS partner to stop U.S. companies from favoring foreign workers over U.S. workers - Washington Times
The Department of Justice and Department Homeland Security will partner to stop U.S. companies from hiring foreign workers with visas over qualified U.S. workers, the agencies announced Friday. The collaboration's goal is to quickly identify employers who discriminate against U.S. workers by hiring foreign visa workers as well as immigrants who commit fraud to get hired.
"In the spirit of President Trump's Executive Order on Buy American and Hire American, today's partnership adds to the Civil Rights Division's tools to stop employers from discriminating against U.S. workers by favoring foreign visa workers," said Acting Assistant Attorney General John Gore of the Civil Rights Division. "The Division looks forward to expanding its partnerships with USCIS to hold accountable employers that discriminate against U.S. workers based on their citizenship status."
Hiring foreign visa workers over qualified U.S. workers could be illegal, the agencies said. The Justice Department has already fielded one lawsuit and reached a settlement with two employers since it launched its Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative last year. (Read more)
- Almighty God, stand strong and mighty to bring employers who have pushed back Americans from being hired to be brought under the righteous rule of the law in the United States. Lord, close the doors of those who disobey this Executive Order to Buy American and Hire American. We pray in the holy Name of Jesus.
- "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call." (Psalm 20:7-9)
10. Trump close to wiping out TPS program for immigrants - The Hill
With the end of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 56,000 Hondurans earlier this month, the nearly 30-year-old immigration program is essentially dead. TPS had survived under several Republican and Democratic administrations, which mainly used the program as a pressure valve to allow Central American and Caribbean immigrants to live and work in the United States, often sending remittances home. But the Trump administration says the program has been abused, allowing people to stay in the United States long after crisis conditions have ended in their home countries.
The Trump administration has ordered the end of TPS for over 300,000 immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has so far ordered the end of TPS benefits to all but about 7,000 people from four countries, nearly booting the entire TPS population. When ending the TPS status, the Trump administration has given the immigrants time to leave the country. The wind-down periods have ranged from a year to 18 months for people from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Nepal and Sudan whose TPS designations have been terminated. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we trust that You will stand behind the President in implementing this decision. Move, Lord, to send these immigrants back to their country of origin. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
- "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." (John 14:14)

The crucible of prophecy in Damascus
The Daily Jot 5.11.18 The crucible of prophecy in Damascus Israel is currently defending the Golan Heights from Iran's hostile bases in Syria by launching very precise missile strikes. The presence of Turkey, Iran, al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic State, Hezbollah, Hamas and other enemies of God and of Israel in the Syrian theatre has many wondering about the Isaiah 17 prophecy about the destruction of Damascus. There is much speculation about whether we are now entering into the end time scenario written so much about by the prophets in the Bible. Certainly, the crucible of prophecy is being stirred and heated, but we must pay close attention to the actual words and context of the prophets to discern current events.
According to the prophet Isaiah, 17:1, "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." Many point to this verse to speculate when and how Damascus will be destroyed. If we study the context of the prophecy, Chapter 10 begins with prophesying judgment on Assyria and Ephraim (one of the tribes of Israel) for attacking Israel. Damascus is named as one of the Assyrian's vassals. Damascus also is included in end time judgment accounts of Egypt, Babylon, Moab, Assyria, Ethiopia, Tyre, Philistia and others. This demonstrates the near and the far of prophesy. Some of this was fulfilled historically; other parts of it are yet to be fulfilled.
There has been a lot of talk that this is the time that perhaps Isaiah's prophecy will be fulfilled. Damascus, after all, is hardly a city nowadays. It is maintaining a heartbeat after years of civil war and fighting that includes various al Qaeda terrorist groups, Hezbollah from Iran, Russian interests, American interests, Turkey, the Islamic State, and, of course the Assad government. The ingredients are there for the total destruction of Damascus. Damascus may be devastated by this massive gathering of many forces, but it is not the total destruction prophesied by Isaiah. As with most prophecy, it often appears to be fulfilled, but in types and shadows, layers, and signs before it is ultimately fulfilled.
The context of Isaiah 17 is judgment on nations that come against Israel, beginning in Chapter 9 and continuing through Chapter 24. The phrase "In/At that day" is mentioned no less than four times in Isaiah 17, a short chapter of 14 verses. This phrase is an indicator for the Day of the Lord, meaning when the Lord returns to judge the nations that came against Israel. Verse 7 says, "At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel." Verse 11 speaks that the harvest shall be a day of grief and of desperate sorrow. Context is key. It's irresponsible to take just one verse and develop a scenario or doctrine around it. In Syria, we are seeing prophetic movement, but we will know when God fulfills the prophecy. It will be clear.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

'No One Should Live in Fear':
Ambassador Brownback's Plan to Fight Christian Persecution
"Just this week, I've had conversations with an ambassador in another country that wants to do a lot more on religious freedom. They've been a very bad actor for a long period of time. I believe their primary reason is they want to grow their economy." - Amb. Sam Brownback
US Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback is unveiling new plans to combat persecution of Christians around the world. "No one should live in fear because of their religious beliefs," Brownback said.
Amb. Brownback said, "We've got a global cold war in religion, a hot war in some places going on now." He warns religious persecution is a growing crisis. But he is working to stop it. He told CBN News he is talking directly with leaders of countries to fight persecution of Christians.
"Just this week, I've had conversations with an ambassador in another country that wants to do a lot more on religious freedom," said Brownback. "They've been a very bad actor for a long period of time. I believe their primary reason is they want to grow their economy."
He says foreign countries are realizing in order to keep and attract smart people, you cannot have a narrow view. Ambassador Brownback says he has data to back it up. He warns countries must realize if they want less terrorism, they have to have more religious freedom.
Brownback adds the Trump administration strongly believes in religious freedom and says this administration will continue to name and shame countries that make war on Christians. (CBN) Read more

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
"God and our Father: To Whom be glory for ever." (Galatians 1:4-5)
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
"God and our Father: To Whom be glory for ever." (Galatians 1:4-5)
Lyrics
To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Refrain
Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Amid Active Lava Flows Causing Evacuations, the Question Rises: Will Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano Explode?
Volcano scientists issued a second Orange Alert on Wednesday. "At this time, we cannot say with certainty that explosive activity will occur, how large the explosions could be, or how long such explosive activity could continue."
The steady lowering of the lava lake in Overlook crater within Halema'uma'u at the summit of Kilauea Volcano has raised the potential for explosive eruptions in the coming weeks. If the lava column drops to the level of groundwater beneath Kilauea Caldera, influx of water into the conduit could cause steam-driven explosions. Debris expelled during such explosions could impact the area surrounding Halema'uma'u and the Kilauea summit. (BreakingChristianNews/Earth/Sky) Read more.
Hawaii volcano stokes fears of West Coast eruptions
Multiple fissures emitting minor lava spatter opened Saturday on Hawaii's Kilauea volcano, heightening fears of an impending major eruption and prompting a warning by the US Geological Survey of more disaster to come.
The eruption of a Hawaii volcano in the Pacific "Ring of Fire" also has experts warily eyeing volcanic peaks on America's West Coast that are also part of the geologically active region.
The West Coast is home to an 800-mile chain of 13 volcanoes, from Washington state's Mount Baker to California's Lassen Peak. They include Mount St. Helens, whose spectacular 1980 eruption in the Pacific Northwest killed dozens of people and sent volcanic ash across the country, and massive Mount Rainier, which towers above the Seattle metro area.
"There's lots of anxiety out there," said Liz Westby, geologist at the U.S. Geological Survey Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Wash. "They see destruction, and people get nervous."
. . . Roughly 450 volcanoes make up this horseshoe-shaped belt with Kilauea situated in the middle. The belt follows the coasts of South America, North America, eastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It's known for frequent volcanic and seismic activity caused by the colliding of crustal plates.
America's most dangerous volcanoes are all part of the Ring of Fire, and most are on the West Coast, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Besides Kilauea, they include: Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier in Washington; Mount Hood and South Sister in Oregon; and Mount Shasta and Lassen Volcanic Center in California. The Good News Corner:
ISIS On The Run: U.S.-Iraqi Coalition Makes Startling Advancement in War on Terror
Iraqi officials announced on Wednesday that five top senior ISIS leaders were captured after an intricate cross-border operation.
According to The Daily Wire, the operation took three months to develop and execute. The first person captured was Alwaan al-Ithawi, one of the top aides to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghadadi.
Ithawi was tracked from Syria to the Turkish city of Sakarya; later, Turkish officials arrested him on February 15 and then extradited him to Iraq. After weeks of interrogation by Iraqi and American intelligence, Ithawi divulged the location of other ISIS leaders.
Five ISIS leaders were captured. One of them was Saddam al-Jammel, a Syrian who was head of the ISIS territory near Deir el-Zour. Four others were captured as well. (Faith, Family, America) Read more.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

BREAKING NEWS!
"By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work." (Genesis 2:2)
We have now completed the reading of the Whole Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation . . . 36 times! We praise God for the literal hundreds who have joined us over the past year and a half to accomplish this feat, and we know that our Lord must be deeply pleased to have heard His Word read back to Him . . . 36 times.
> > > As we meditated upon this milestone, we were visited by the hush of the Holy Spirit, so we waited upon Him for a word. Our Lord reminded us that, in His own week of working, that after six days . . . He RESTED.
Abba shared with us that we have now entered a NEW SEASON in our readings . . . one that would include a "seventh day rest" for the people of God.
And so, beginning this week, our Readathon WILL continue (as above) for SIX DAYS, but will be suspended on Sunday mornings, 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., that we might rest before Him and dwell in His presence, abiding even more deeply in Him.
It is written: "So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God." (Hebrews 4:9)
We welcome you back every Monday night through Saturday morning, and then we wish you . . . shalom!
