1. Hawaii estimates tsunami damage at $30 million - Fox News

Hawaii disaster response officials are estimating the state suffered damages exceeding $30 million after a devastating Japanese earthquake sent a tsunami across the Pacific Ocean earlier this month.

- Father, the man of sin, satan, is being revealed in the many disasters in the world. We understand that the Lord is wanting to get the attention of the people to turn to Him in salvation and repentance. This is the answer. This is the solution. No matter what disaster may come, men are to call out to God to save their souls from eternal destruction. Father, call forth souls who will bow their knee to the Lord God Almighty in repentance and deliver them. In Jesus Name.

- "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming. Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the Truth, that they might be saved." (II Thessalonians 2:8-10)

2. US growth revised upward to 3.1% for end 2010 - AFP

The US economy grew faster than first thought at the end of 2010, as consumers spent more and a weaker dollar boosted the country's export sector, the Commerce Department said Friday.

- God, we thank you for blessing our economy in the United States. We pray for continued growth and that our people will give all glory to the Lord and recognize that it is He who supplies all our need. In Jesus Name.

3. Yemeni President Agrees to Step Down Under Certain Conditions - Fox News

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has agreed to step down as long as power is transferred to "clean hands," Fox News has learned.

- Father, we ask that You take control over the country of Yemen and that Your Holy Spirit will flow across the land and its people and assign a man of godliness and good scruples to take over the presidency in Yemen. May the country as a whole turn their hearts toward God and worship Him with all sincerity. In Jesus Name.

- "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn." (Proverbs 29:2)

4. Japan crisis: nuclear workers exposed to 10,000 times more radiation than normal - UK Telegraph

Concerns over the extent of radioactive contamination in Japan deepened after it emerged that three workers admitted to hospital this week were exposed to radiation levels 10,000 times higher than normal.

- God, You are Father of all who rules the earth in righteousness, is calling for the people of Japan to turn their hearts toward God, repent of their sins, and embrace the message of salvation for their souls. Break the evil powers of darkness off Japan by the overcoming blood of Jesus Christ and bring in heartrending repentance from sin and they shall be saved. In Jesus Name.

- "The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord, shall be safe. Many seek the ruler's favor; but every man's judgment comes from the Lord." (Proverbs 29:25-26)

5. Syrian protests broken up in Damascus, but allowed in Daraa - USA Today

Syrian security forces broke up a demonstration in the capital, Damascus, today, but did not intervene in the southern city of Daraa, where thousands turned out for a "Dignity Friday" march to protest the killing of dozens of people by police two days ago.

- Oh God, the leaders of Syria are accountable to God for their evil judgment and lack of sound rulership for the safety of its people. On a road in Damascus, the Apostle Paul suddenly encountered the Lord Jesus Christ who showed him heavenly things. Jesus' feet touched the ground in Damascus. This is a powerfully significant message to the leadership and people of Syria.

We cry out to God that the people would again meet the Lord Jesus and fall at His feet in total submission and repentance by the blood that Jesus shed at the Cross of Calvary. In Jesus Name.

- "And as Paul journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you persecute: it is hard for you to kick against the pricks. Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do." (Acts 9:3-6)

6. Moslem Brotherhood gains power in Egypt - UPI

The Moslem Brotherhood, an Islamic group once banned by Egypt, has become a force as the country undergoes a change in government, observers said.

- Lord God, we implore You to cast a great light from heaven around the Moslem Brotherhood and as many as will submit themselves to the drawing of the Holy Spirit and find Christ as Savior of their souls, then deliver them from all their sin. But for those who remain proud and stand on the side of satan, we ask that they be destroyed in their sin and lose power and influence over Egypt. In the mighty Name of Jesus.

- "And Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:14-15)

1. Netanyahu: Israel ready to act with full force to stop missiles - Ha'aretz

Israel is ready to act with full force to stop missile attacks launched from the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday.

2. IDF will have to carry out large-scale operation in Gaza - Jerusalem Post

Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) on Friday said that he estimates that the IDF will eventually have to carry out a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip, bigger than Operation Cast Lead. Sa'ar made the comments in an interview with Israel Radio.

3. Islamic Jihad at the service of Iran - Ynet News

The Grad rockets that hit Ashdod and Beersheba this week were launched by terrorists from Islamic Jihad's armed wing, as were the numerous mortars fired towards the western Negev. Four of the five terrorists killed by Israel on Wednesday were longtime Jihad members who had been firing rockets and mortars at Israel since the days of the second Intifada.

The great prophetic awakening of the heathen by the prophet Joel

The current state of affairs in the Middle East presents quite a conundrum. There are at least three elements in play. One is the status quo where there is a gradient from repressive to oppressive governments in place. These governments have been stable for a number of years, and they do rule with an iron fist, and they are generally enemies of Israel whether they proclaim it or not. And they are enemies of America whether they say so or not. Saudi Arabia, for example, is considered a great American ally, but in reality its radical Islamic teachings, its infiltration of America with Wahhabism and substantial oil money works against Americans. Most of the 911 terrorists were Saudi.

Yemen is a repressive regime. Largely isolated, the Yemeni government rules harshly and has already killed at least 50 people in an uprising there. Syria, on the other hand, is an oppressive government. In league as a vassal of Iran, Syria's Bashar Assad (despite what Saddleback church pastor Rick Warren says) is a persecutor of Christians, a hater of Jews and proliferator of terrorism. Iran is likely the most radical of the lot, stomping on its citizens human rights and demanding that Israel be driven into the sea, banished from the earth, and the "great satan" America be destroyed. In all of these examples, and many countries in between, people are rising up against their governments.

The US policy since the Bush Administration and as accelerated by the current Administration has been to support opposition groups within those countries in an effort to forward "democracy." Problem is that destabilization by these groups includes Arab socialists, terrorist groups, the Muslim Brotherhood and more. There has been success in stirring the hearts of average citizens to action, but those waiting in the wings are likely far more radical against Israel and America than the current regimes. For example, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Counterterrorism Chief John Brennan argued against attacking Libya because Libyan rebels were unknown entities that could be tied to al Qaeda.

During the Egypt revolt, the White House openly talked to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a terrorist sponsoring group that has emerged as the uniting force between Sunnis and Shiites, about its role in a democratic Egyptian government. But at the end of the day, these are all groups with great hatred toward Jews and Christians and are willing to do whatever it takes to advance the cause of rule by Sharia law--even using democracy to do it. The prophet Joel sounds a wake up call to the heathen in preparation for the Day of the Lord, "Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say I am strong (3:10)." Today, across the Middle East, the weak people are awakened. This is a type and shadow of things to come.

Pro-Life Laws Sweeping States

This week South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard signed into law a bill requiring a 72-hour waiting period and counseling for women seeking abortions. Other states are taking similar actions. The Associated Press reports today that dozens of pro-life bills are "advancing through statehouses nationwide."

Five states are considering legislation modeled after Nebraska's law that bans abortions after 20 weeks. In Ohio, a bill would ban abortions after the "first medically detectable heartbeat."
More than 20 states are considering limitations on insurance coverage of abortions. Much of this legislation is in reaction to ObamaCare, which requires state health insurance exchanges to cover abortions unless states pass legislation to opt out of ObamaCare's abortion mandate. Apparently many Americans don't like their hard-earned tax money being spent to pay for abortions!

A spokeswoman for the radically pro-abortion group NARAL complained, "This is having a transformational effect on the insurance industry and the way abortion is viewed." NARAL was all for ObamaCare's "transformational effect" on the insurance industry when it thought it would lead to more abortions. But many states evidently don't view the destruction of innocent life in the womb as healthcare. And NARAL is having fits.

What has the pro-abortion movement so panicked this year is not the volume of pro-life laws under consideration. Pro-life legislators have been fighting for these ideas for many years. What is different now, as the AP notes, is "the fact that many of the toughest, most substantive measures have a good chance of passage due to gains by conservative Republicans in the last year's legislative and gubernatorial elections." Obama and Libya

America Not Sold On Obama's "Kinetic Military Action"

The Obama Administration won't say that the mission in Libya is a war. But what, then, is it exactly? Yesterday, during a briefing to reporters on Air Force One, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes described our involvement as a "kinetic military action." Whatever you want to call it, most Americans aren't sold on it.

A Gallup poll released yesterday found that 47% of Americans approve of the "current military action against Libya," while 37% disapprove. But here is the most significant finding: According to Gallup, the 47% approval rating is the lowest measure of support for any U.S. military campaign in recent decades.

For example, when the Honorable President Ronald Reagan bombed Libyan targets in 1986, 71% of Americans approved and 21% disapproved. When George H. W. Bush bombed Iraqi military installations in 1993, 83% of Americans approved, while just 9% disapproved. When the Honorable President George W. Bush invaded Afghanistan in 2001, 90% of American supported the effort, while 5% did not. And when President Bush invaded Iraq in March 2003, 76% of Americans supported the war, while 20% did not.

That only 47% of Americans support the mission suggests at a minimum that Obama has failed to adequately explain the mission. More troubling for the White House is a new Reuters poll that found only 17% of Americans view Obama as a "strong and decisive" commander-in-chief.

By the way, if you don't think there is any confusion at the White House over Libya, consider this: Fox News reports that just 30 days ago, the White House asked Congress for nearly $2 million in additional foreign aid for Libya. Why? To "train military officers, improve its air force, secure its borders and to counter terrorism." (Gary Bauer)

GET INTO THE ARK by David Wilkerson | March 25, 2011

John Owen, the great Puritan preacher, spoke the following message to his congregation on April 9, 1680:

"You know that for many years, without failing, I have been warning you continually of an approaching calamitous time, and considering the sins that have been the causes of it. I have told you that judgment will begin in the house of God; that God seems to have hardened our hearts from his fear, and that none knows what the power of his wrath will be. In all these things I have foretold you of perilous, distressing, calamitous times. These all now lie at the door, and are entering in upon us."

God did send his awful judgments on that society. John Owen lived to weep over a flaming holocaust that engulfed London.

Yet, before he ever saw a single one of these calamities take place, Owen faithfully cried out from his pulpit, "I am going to show you how we ought to deport ourselves in and under the distressing calamities that are coming upon us, and may reach, it may be, up to the very neck."

Beloved, we're living in just such a time as Owen's. And in times like these, there is only one response to the coming storm. "The just shall live by faith!"

Owen admonished his people with tears, "Get you an ark-prepare an ark for the safety of you and your families." Then he added, "The ark is Jesus Christ. There is no other way, no other ark-for Isaiah, the prophet, said of our Lord, 'And a man [Christ] shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadows of a great rock in a weary land.' That is our ark! Blessed are they that trust only in him. I know of no safety, no deliverance, in the trials and afflictions coming upon the earth, but in believing Christ as our only refuge."

We may see dangers on all sides, including a devil and his principalities who want to drown our faith in doubts. But we have a fiery guard of angels surrounding us and a God who is under oath to carry us through any disaster we may face.

So let me ask you, do you want to face the coming storm with quiet confidence and peace of mind? Then die today to all your own ways and means of saving yourself and commit the keeping of your life wholly to God's care. He's your good, loving Shepherd-and he is faithful to see you through all!
Fix your eyes on Jesus. He alone is our hope.

1. Tokyo Shops Ration Goods as Workers Injured at Nuke Plant - AP

Shops across Tokyo began rationing goods -- milk, toilet paper, rice and water -- as a run on bottled water coupled with delivery disruptions left shelves bare Thursday nearly two weeks after a devastating earthquake and tsunami. The unusual sights of scarcity in one of the world's richest, most modern capitals came a day after city officials reported that radioactive iodine in the Tokyo's tap water measured more than twice the level considered safe for babies.

- Lord, we continue to lift our Christian brothers who work at these plants before You, we ask for Your mercy over the people of Japan. With nations banning their exports, and people leaving the nation, their short term economic outlook is grim. May Your Holy Spirit move mightily across Japan, drawing people to Christ, giving them hope and bringing salvation both physical and spiritual to their people.

- "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." (Psalm 103:8)

2. a) Mideast Expert: Gadhafi Losing Grip on Reality - Will Use Mustard Gas - NewsMaxTV

Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi is rapidly losing his already frail grip on reality, increasing the odds that he could unleash chemical weapons on his own people or launch a terrorist attack on the United States, a leading expert on the Middle East tells Newsmax.TV.

There is an "increasing slippage between him and reality," says Jamsheed Choksy, a Middle Eastern and Islamic studies professor at Indiana University. Even if Gadhafi and his son Saif were "mentally stable," he adds, "They certainly are not the sort of individuals who should be running any country ever.

b) Boehner, House Republicans Demand Obama Explain Libya Mission

House Republicans are demanding that President Barack Obama outline exactly what the U.S. mission is in Libya, where American aircraft and warships are part of an international campaign enforcing a no-fly zone. House Speaker John Boehner complains that the president ordered the military into combat without clearly describing the U.S. role for the American people and Congress.

- Father, we pray that Your angelic host would protect the region and the world against Mr. Gadhafi's mental delusions. We pray for removal of Gadhafi, but we pray that the replacements not be worse. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to move over Libya, and bring protection against Islamist influences.

- "While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebudchadnezzar, to you it is spoken; the kingdom is departed from you." (Daniel 4:31)

3. Minn. legislator wants Jesus out of Senate prayers - AP

A Jewish Minnesota lawmaker is asking Senate leaders to allow only nondenominational prayers to open sessions, after feeling "highly uncomfortable" when a Baptist pastor repeatedly mentioned Jesus Christ and Christianity in one of the invocations.

Democratic Sen. Terri Bonoff says she wants Republican Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch to change the letter submitted to all visiting chaplains to say they are "required," rather than "requested," to make prayers nondenominational.

- Lord, we seek forgiveness for this Jewish senator who needs You. We pray Ms. Bonoff will have the experience of Paul, to know her Messiah on a personal level. We also ask protection for Your Name to be spoken out loud in America by those who serve You.

- "Who are You, Lord?' he said. 'I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.' He replied. 'But get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do." (Acts 9:5,6 HCSB)

4. Who's in Hell? Pastors' Criticism of Eternal Torment for Some Sparks Fierce Debate - Fox News

A Methodist pastor who voiced support for a book questioning the view of hell as a place of eternal damnation is "shocked" by his church's decision to fire him. Chad Holtz, who served as pastor of the United Methodist church in rural North Carolina, said he hoped his personal belief posted on Facebook would engage -- not anger -- members of his congregation.

- Father, we repent for the Body of Christ. We not only do not know You as we should, but we live in error and do not know Your Word. We pray for Your mercy over the Body and ask that You draw us into the knowledge of the Word of God.

5. Study Finds Religion May Be Heading for Extinction in Parts of World - Fox News

Parts of the world are literally losing their religion, according to a new study.

The study, conducted by the American Physical Society, finds that religion is dying out in nine countries.

The findings unveiled at an APS meeting in Dallas show that religion may become extinct in Australia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Canada, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

- Father, we don't care if "religion" goes extinct, but we do care about Believers who live in secular societies. We pray for Your protection over Your people worldwide. We pray that You would move across the nations of the world, reviving the hearts of Your people, and bringing new souls into Your Kingdom. No "lack of religion" can stop You, the Living God, from accomplishing Your purposes.

- "The Lord knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied." (Psalm 37:18-19)

6. Florida Judge Defends Decision to Apply Islamic Law in Tampa Case - Fox News

A Florida judge is defending his controversial decision to apply Islamic law instead of state or federal statutes in determining whether an arbitration award was correct, the St. Petersburg Times reports.

The case in question involves former trustees of a local Tampa mosque, the Islamic Education Center of Tampa, who are suing because they claim they were unfairly removed as trustees.

- Lord, we are grieved that this judge abandoned the US Constitution and laws of the land in favor of foreign practices. We pray for reversal of this decision, and Your change of heart for this judge.

- "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3)

7. Gates arrives in Israel - ICEJ News

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates arrived in Israel on Thursday as part of a regional tour. Recent violence in Jerusalem and on the Gaza border were expected to be complicate Gates efforts to push for renewed negotiations between Israel and the PA, but his main mission while here is to discuss Iran and other regional threats with Israeli defense officials.

- Whenever U.S. officials are in disucssions with Israel, it's time to pray. Only the LORD knows what Gates' true intentions are on this trip; pray that His will -- and only His will -- be accomplished on this visit.

- "Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." (Matt. 6:10)

1. Netanyahu: Israel will continue to operate against terrorists in Gaza - Ha'aretz

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Wednesday that the Israel Defense Forces would continue to use "firm determination and assaults" against terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip, adding that Israel would not tolerate attacks on its citizens or communities.

2. Netanyahu: Palestinians are not ready for peace with Israel - Ha'aretz

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed claims by the opposition that they had at one time been close to a peace deal with the Palestinians, saying "Palestinians are not ready for peace with Israel."

3. Christian woman identified as casualty in terror attack - ICEJ News

Missiles from Gaza rain on southern Israel

The woman killed in Wednesday's terrorist bombing in Jerusalem was identified as a Christian tourist from the UK on Thursday, as PA police in Jenin arrested two members of Islamic Jihad organization in connection with the attack and clashes between gunman and the IDF continued on the Gaza border.

4. Gadaffi holding on in Libya as airstrikes continue - ICEJ News

Dozens killed in Syrian protests

Heavy volumes of anti-aircraft fire were reported in the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Thursday as forces loyal to dictator Moammar Gadaffi fought back against airstrikes by coalition aircraft sent to enforce UNSCR 1973 and a growing armada of ships patrolled the waters off Libya's coast.

5. State terror surges in Iran - ICEJ News

Radio Free Europe reported on Thursday that Iranian security forces have engaged in a massive round up of opposition activists, arresting over 1,250 people over the past 12 months. Outlawed NGO Human Rights in the House of Iran (HRHI) told RFE that most of those arrested were students and journalists, but also included Christian pastors and labor leaders. A spokesman for HRHI added that this number was merely the arrests which had been made public, and did not include thousands of other people who have simply disappeared with no notification given to their families or lawyers. There has been a large upsurge in such disappearances over the last two months.

6. Several anti-Israel resolutions at UNHRC - ICEJ News

The United Nations Human Rights Council is getting ready to vote on several resolutions dealing with Israel during its 16th session in Geneva which will end on Friday. One of the resolutions is calling on the Security Council to hand over the issue of the "occupied Palestinian territories" to the International Criminal Court. Others deal with the Golan Heights, last year's Gaza flotilla and the Palestinian rights to self-determination. In total 38 resolutions will be treated during the session while none will be dealing with the ongoing situation in Libya. 35 out of the 51 resolutions that have been treated in previous sessions have all been aimed towards Israel.

7. IDF brings wounded Palestinian child to Israel for treatment - ICEJ News

On Tuesday an eight year old Palestinian boy wounded in the crossfire between IDF troops and terrorists was rescued by an IDF team which evacuated the wounded child to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot for treatment. The IDF said in a statement that they regret the fact that civilian people got hurt during the attack, while at the same time emphasizing the importance of remembering that it is Hamas who have decided to operate from within areas where civilians are active.

Prophetic Consequences: American complicity in Middle East radicalization

The harsh political unrest throughout the Middle East is instigated and built on a wave of deception perpetrated by the US and exploited by terrorist organizations. It appears that the Bush Doctrine of promoting peace through democracy has been a windfall for organized Islamic terrorists in riding the wave of political unrest. The current Administration's infatuation with all things Islamic has created a dangerous and unstable environment for Israel and the entirety of the Middle East--one that is sure to accelerate end time Biblical prophecy at a pace never experienced by any generation prior to this one. The immediate result is emboldened terrorist attacks in Israel. The long term impact is even more extreme.

The White House has treacherously accepted the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in bringing about "democratic" change in Egypt. It is documented, however, that this terrorist sponsoring organization has its fingerprints in every state of unrest in the Middle East, perhaps even beyond. The Muslim Brotherhood is not encumbered by the Sunni vs Shiite divide in Islam because its purpose is to establish Sharia law worldwide. The Brotherhood, therefore, has a seat among the most elite strategic planners of Islam in Shiite Iran as well as in Sunni Saudi Arabia. It moves freely in circles with al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas and other deadly organizations that prey on a population demonstrating for democracy.

From al Qaeda in Libya and Yemen to Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon to Hamas in Gaza, the Brotherhood appears to be the political strings behind the so-called "populace" uprising in Middle East nations. For example, the Brotherhood supported the constitutional changes adopted by Egyptian voters ostensibly for democracy because they made it easier for the Brotherhood to elect its minions to office. Already, DebkaFile reports that the recent massive mortar attack on Israeli citizens near Gaza is a direct result of Egypt's new policy which is now aligned with Syria and Iran--through the handiwork of the Muslim Brotherhood as supported by the White House.

Now the White House is pressuring Israel to "get ahead" of the Middle East unrest by brokering peace. There appears to be, however, a far greater threat looming than peace with Palestinian terrorists can solve--it is the deeper radicalization of Muslim nations that will lead to great hostilities as prophesied in the Bible. The Lord says in Ezekiel 12:27-28, "The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of the times that are far off. Therefore say unto them, Thus says the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done." These things are occurring before our very eyes and there are harsh consequences for those nations who assist them at the expense of God's people.

EMERGENCY ALERT; SYRIA

SYRIA PROTESTS

SUMMARY: Five people were killed in Syria between March 18 and 20, 2011. The deaths were the result of clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces.

Demonstrations that began in Tunisia and stretched across North Africa have moved into the Middle East. Syria is the latest Arab country to experience unrest.

Protesters took to the streets Friday, March 18, 2011 to call attention to what they claim are "massive human rights abuses," as well as to demand political and economic reforms. At least two people were killed as security forces tried to control the crowd.

Another demonstration was held on Sunday as the body of one of the dead protesters was buried. One person was confirmed dead as police responded to that protest.

Human Rights Watch says at least 5 people died over the weekend and dozens more were injured. Security forces reportedly "fired on demonstrators and used tear gas to break up a public gathering."

President Bashar al-Assad offered "condolences to the families of the two martyrs who died during the unfortunate events which took place in Daraa on Friday." His government has tried to restore peace, but opponents have issued a list of demands, including accountability for the recent civilian deaths.

"The government has shown no qualms about shooting dead its own citizens for speaking out," said a representative from Human Rights Watch.

PRAY FOR:

- the Lord to fulfill His purposes for this nation. Ask Him to pour out His Holy Spirit on Syria during this time of turmoil. (The Bible, Isaiah 55:8,9)

- the hearts of the people to be open to the Gospel. Pray for the current crisis to cause them to consider matters of eternity. (The Bible, Luke 8:8)

- the government to respond to calls for reasonable reform. Pray for an end to corruption among the leadership and for the Lord to raise up Christian men and women of integrity who will serve the people well. (The Bible, Proverbs 21:1; Proverbs 8:20)

- the citizens of Syria to be protected from excessive force used by security forces. Pray for a massacre to be avoided. (The Bible, Psalm 41:2)

- a great harvest of souls in Syria. Ask the Lord to bring His Kingdom rule and reign to this nation with power and bring honor and great glory to His Name. 1. US Approaching Insolvency, Fix To Be 'Painful': Fisher - CNBC

The United States is on a fiscal path towards insolvency and policymakers are at a "tipping point," a Federal Reserve official said on Tuesday.

- God, we decree that the financial matters of the United States are in Your hands and it is to God that we cry out for help and miraculous intervention for our country and all our families to be protected from financial ruin. We stand on the threshold of God and ask that myriads of angels be loosened to come and make war against the insidious hidden enemies of our country. We decree that we will not be destroyed. Border Patrol agents recently arrested 13 illegal immigrants disguised as U.S. Marines and riding in a fake military van, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Tuesday.

- God, we pray that Your hand will come down on these illegal immigrants who have disgraced the high standard of our military to use United States Marine uniforms in such a base cause and manner. We call for divine justice and ask that they be deported, and forever barred from coming back into the United States. In Jesus Name.

4. Saudi Arabia Jails Indian Christians For "Proselytizing" - Worthy News

Two Indian Christian men working in Saudi Arabia were behind bars Tuesday, March 22, after they were sentenced to 45 days imprisonment for allegedly trying to convert Muslims to Christianity, rights activists said.

- Father, bind the evil spirits under the blood of Jesus that interfere with a man's soul being saved from an eternity without God. Send an angel from heaven to these Christian men and open the jail door that they may be freed. Protect them and strengthen them to stand firm in their faith. In Jesus Name.

- "Jesus says, I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, He shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture (be nourished)." (John 10:9)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Wednesday that the Israel Defense Forces would continue to use "firm determination and assaults" against terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip, adding that Israel would not tolerate attacks on its citizens or communities.

2. Netanyahu: Palestinians are not ready for peace with Israel - Ha'aretz

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed claims by the opposition that they had at one time been close to a peace deal with the Palestinians, saying "Palestinians are not ready for peace with Israel."

The prophetic import of the arming of Syria by Iran and Russia

In July 2006, the liberal leaning Brookings Institute downplayed the signing of a mutual defense pact between Iran and Syria saying that Iran was unlikely to equip Syria with advanced hardware. But three recent events should be a prophetic warning to the watchmen of the end times. In February, Iranian warships passed through the Suez Canal destined for Syria, where a naval defense agreement was signed. On March 16, Israel seized a cargo ship from Iran and Syria carrying six C-704 radar-guided anti-ship missiles, thousands of mortar shells and almost 67,000 assault rifle bullets for AK-47s to terrorists in Gaza. Turkey now finds weapons and ammo on a cargo plane from Iran to Syria.

In October 2001, BBC News reported that Russia and Iran announced the two countries had signed a $300 million a year arms supply agreement. But that was just a small beginning, since then, Russia has become Iran's major arms supplier, adding another $700 million surface to air missile defense system, MiG-29 fighter jets and scores of battle tanks. According to a 2006 report by the Congressional Research Service, Russia increased arms shipments to Iran, China, and Venezuela, concluding, "Experts say Iran--as well as Syria--may have transferred some of these small arms to groups like Hezbollah and Hamas." In May 2010 the Russian Itar-Tass news agency reported a Russian arms deal with Syria.

In the Middle East, terrorist groups are using what appears to be good intentions of the Islamic people toward freedom to gain power under the oppressive Sharia Law. There is unrest in most of the Arab nations. To a degree, the United States has encouraged this as reported in WikiLeaks released documents. The Muslim Brotherhood has been in Tehran meeting and coordinating with the Iranian leadership. According to the US Institute of Peace, Iran supports empowerment of the Muslim Brotherhood because "The Moslem Brotherhood is the largest Islamist organization in the Arab world that ignores Arab nationalism and Sunni identity to facilitate alliances with Islamist movements outside the Arab world."

The Russia, Iran, Syria, Moslem Brotherhood connection and relationship is important to the end time scenario. We see in Ezekiel 38 that in the latter days Magog, which is Eastern Russia; Persia, today's Iran; Ethiopia, Northeastern Africa; and Libya, Northwestern Africa; will come against Israel in a colossal end times battle. We also know from Isaiah 17:1, "Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." Vassal states like Syria sign defense agreements for protection, but the protectors only honor the agreement until it is expedient to sacrifice the vassal. Prophecy shows the boldness of Israel's enemies as they advance under Islam. The mix is in the bowl; wrath is in the making.

Explosion in Jerusalem

Urgent Prayer Alert for Israel: March 23, 2011

Dear Friends and Intercessors: Just around 3:00 pm Israel time, we heard an explosion outside our CFI Jerusalem ministry offices. Breaking news reports began flowing across the television screens around the world. At the same time frantic Israelis from all walks of life who were near the scene were trying to absorb what had just taken place. For those of us who were here during 2002-2003 the thoughts of hearing emergency ambulance sirens again was something we did not want to be confronted with again. Almost losing our own lives in a terrorist attack in 2001 in Tel Aviv those terrible hours are still stuck amongst the inventory of our memories. All details are not known as of yet but reports tell us that a bomb was planted in or near a bus at the busiest time of day. People are hurting, wounded, scared and trying to absorb it all. Now is the time for you (in the nations) to pray for Israel and her People.

Israel is still in a struggle to survive. The Lord will judge those responsible.

Let's Go To The Throne Room Together:

- Build a spiritual wall of protection around the nation of Israel and especially in crowded places of business, restaurants and transport. This is a favorite trap for the enemy who set themselves against the Jewish people.

- Commit Israel to God's Care and safekeeping and that ministering angels would watch over this nation continually.

- Ask for the Lord to be the shield for Israel around about her at all times and that her enemy's power will be broken along with their weapons of hatred silenced. Only God can shatter the plots and schemes of evil doers. (Psalm 3:7)

- Pray that Israel will turn to the Lord and know that they must put their trust in God Almighty, also to know that they have not been forsaken. He is a refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble. May many flee to Him for strength and stamina during this time of escalation of attacks by those who commit evil acts. Pray for those with reprobate minds that the Lord, in His Great Mercy, would be able to save those who turn to Him for forgiveness.

- Pray that all who have come to the Land of their forefathers will become one voice and a pure nation. Pray Israel to call upon Him for the Lord in repentance (for wanting like all the nations). He will deliver those with outstretched arms with the same response.

- Beseech the Lord that truth will become Israel's shield and buckler so that she need not fear what comes-the terror by night, nor any sudden calamities.

- Pray for those who have just been called and told that their loved ones were near the explosion and in hospital. Ask the Lord to guide every Doctor and Nurse's hands so that only healing will flow throughout the corridors of busy medical facilities in Israel.

Pray these Scriptures: Psalm 27:14; 30:2; 33:18-22; 35:19; 37:9; and 62:2.

There is power in prayer and power in the Word of God. Combine these two dynamic forces with Holy Spirit-led prayer, and prayer power is released, resulting in changes and interventions in disturbing and dangerous circumstances. Jeremiah wrote, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show you great and mighty things." (Jeremiah 33:3). Let's not waste any time, but go quickly to the Throne Room and beseech the Lord. Plan your appointed times of prayer and organize prayer groups to beseech the Lord together. Please forward this prayer alert to everyone you know who loves and cares for the Chosen People-the "apple of His eye" (Zechariah 2).

May the Lord God of Israel, the Lord of hosts, watch over Jerusalem and all Israel. May the Prince of Peace Yeshua (Jesus) come to usher in true peace to Israel and the world.

Yesterday, Richard Fisher, president of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, warned that the United States was approaching bankruptcy. "If we continue down on the path on which the fiscal authorities put us, we will become insolvent," Fisher said. "The question is when . . . I look at this as a tipping point."

A coalition of fiscally conservative and socially conservative groups is putting pressure on members of Congress to get serious about cutting the budget. Congress must set priorities for our limited tax dollars. We are asking congressmen to do just that, and to start by defunding Planned Parenthood, America's largest abortion business.

Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to having their hard-earned tax dollars used to subsidize abortions. It is a bad idea even in good economic times. But these are not good economic times. Is Hajj Now A Civil Right?

The front page of today's Washington Post features an unbelievable account of just how far the [Moslem loving ] Obama Administration will go to appease Moslems. The Justice Department is suing the small Chicago suburb of Berkeley, Illinois, for religious discrimination because the town denied the request of a Moslem teacher to take three weeks off for the hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

Here are some of the facts of the case: Safoorah Khan had been on the job for only nine months and was the school district's only math lab instructor. Khan's request for three weeks off came at the crucial end-of-semester testing period. Under these circumstances, school officials denied the request. Khan quit her job and went anyway. Now the Obama Justice Department is suing, claiming that the small town violated Khan's civil rights.

Does anyone think the Justice Department would intervene if a Jew asked for three weeks off to visit Jerusalem or if a Christian wanted three weeks off to visit the Vatican? Of course not. But the same Justice Department that will not defend normal marriage evidently thinks the hajj is a civil right whenever a Muslim demands to take it.

Believe it or not, even the Washington Post seemed incredulous, writing, "As the case moves forward in federal court in Chicago, it has triggered debate over whether the Justice Department was following a purely legal path or whether suing on Khan's behalf was part of a broader Obama administration campaign to reach out to Moslems." From the New Black Panther case to its abandonment of the Defense of Marriage Act, this is just more evidence that Obama's Justice Department has been hijacked by political hacks. (Gary Bauer)

ObamaCare's First Anniversary

Unpopular As Ever

It was on this day in 2010 that ... Obama signed his socialized medicine scheme into law. It was overwhelmingly unpopular then, but as Nancy Pelosi famously said, "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it." Liberals tried to comfort themselves in the belief that over time we would grow to love it. It hasn't worked out that way.

In fact, according to a CNN poll released today, ObamaCare has lost support. In March 2010, 59% of Americans opposed ObamaCare, while 39% supported it. Today, 59% of American still oppose ObamaCare, but just 37% support it.

You can include the CEO of Starbucks to the growing list of the disenchanted. Howard Schultz recently told the Seattle Times, "I was very supportive of the president's plan . . . [But] I think as the bill is currently written and if it was going to land in 2014 under the current guidelines, the pressure on small businesses, because of the mandate, is too great."

Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican Party, has an excellent op-ed today outlining ObamaCare's major faults. But with Harry Reid still Senate Majority Leader and Obama in the White House, not much is going to change.

That is why Priebus concludes his column by writing: "Today is a reminder that we need to redouble our efforts over the next two years to retake the Senate and elect a Republican president so we can repeal this job-destroying law once and for all." I couldn't agree more. (Gary Bauer)

South Dakota Governor Signs Landmark Pro-Life Bill

A groundbreaking pro-life bill was signed into law today by South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard. The law requires women to meet in person with an abortionist at least 72 hours before going through with an abortion -- the longest waiting period in the nation. Also, before an abortion, women will receive counseling from a pregnancy resource center about life-affirming options.

"HB 1217 does not stop abortion," said Chris Hupke, executive director of the South Dakota Family Policy Council. "It simply puts in place measures to treat abortion practices and procedures similar to any other medical procedure."

Pro-abortion groups have threatened to sue over the law. Life advocates are raising money to defend it in court. (CitizrenLink)

1. CBO: Obama Understates Deficits by $2.3 Trillion - AP

A new assessment of Obama's budget released Friday says the White House underestimated future budget deficits by more than $2 trillion over the upcoming decade. The estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that if Obama's February budget submission is enacted into law it would produce deficits totaling $9.5 trillion over 10 years - an average of almost $1 trillion a year.

The estimate adds urgency to calls on Capitol Hill for action on runaway deficits that many economists fear - if left unchecked - could trigger a European-style debt crisis that could force draconian measures such as cutting federal benefits for seniors or forcing broad-based tax increases. Just on Friday, 64 senators - 32 in each party - signed a letter to Obama calling on him to take the lead in coming up with a comprehensive deficit reduction plan along the lines of a plan issued last year by his own deficit commission.

• Lord, help us stop this overspending by this administration and government officials. The economy is so tremendously high. Let solid Christian conservatives make the necessary cuts to the budget, and have a plan of action from you. Let them have favor with all the citizens. Help us to Lord to implement a new budget quickly. We need a miracle!

• Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. (Exodus 6:6)

2. Growing Evangelical Clout Shapes Political Debate with 2012 Looming

Republican presidential candidates take note: the clout of social and religious conservatives is growing in politically crucial Iowa. And these activists are driving the debate here toward cultural issues -- and away from the economy -- just as the GOP sets out to find an opponent for Obama. With Obama's re-election race looming next year, this constituency - made up heavily of evangelical Christians - is intent on playing a major role in choosing the winner of next year's Iowa GOP caucuses.

The increased activity by this crop of conservatives has been driven in part by a huge fight in the state last year over gay marriage. Voters ousted three Supreme Court justices because of their role in a decision striking down a ban on same-sex marriage. Activists also were energized by huge GOP gains in the state last fall, including ousting a Democratic governor.

• Lord, we thank you for answered prayers. We pray that you will continue to raise up men and women who have a heart for you. We pray for people who are committed and obedient to you. Lord, let them have favor with the voters. We don't want pompous people. We want truly humble people to serve our highest offices.

• For this reason we also . . . do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. The National Association of Realtors said Monday sales fell 9.6 percent month over month to an annual rate of 4.88 million units, snapping three straight months of gains. The percentage decline was the largest since July. Oversupply of homes and a relentless wave of foreclosures are pressuring prices, holding back recovery in the sector, whose collapse helped to tip the U.S. economy into its worst recession since the 1930s.

4. Army Apologizes After Published Photos Show U.S. Soldiers Posing With Afghan Corpse - Fox News

The U.S. Army is apologizing for any "distress" caused by a German newspaper's publication Monday of photos depicting U.S. Army soldiers posing with a dead Afghan man, the basis of a court-martial against five soldiers connected to the murders of three Afghan civilians last year. "Der Spiegel published photographs depicting actions repugnant to us as human beings and contrary to the standards and values of the United States Army. We apologize for the distress these photos cause," the Army said in a statement.

"These court-martial proceedings speak for themselves. The photos appear in stark contrast to the discipline, professionalism and respect that have characterized our soldiers' performance during nearly 10 years of sustained operations," the statement continues.

• Heavenly Father, we are grieved that something like this should happen. We pray for these men to repent of their actions. We pray against any backlash on the other troops. Guard them from retaliatory actions from the terrorists. Do not let anyone use this for propaganda. Give commanders wisdom.

5. US Demanding Gay Rights Support at UN Body - AP

The Obama administration will introduce its first statement calling for the United Nations' top human rights body to combat discrimination against gays and lesbians around the world, completing a U.S. reversal from years of ambiguity on the subject during the presidency of George W. Bush. Obama has stepped up the case for gay rights in recent months, winning a congressional vote to repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" ban on gays serving openly in the U.S. military and urging last weekend in a joint statement with the Brazilian president for the establishment of a special investigator to monitor respect for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender individuals in the Western Hemisphere.

Supporting the statement Tuesday will be newcomers such as Thailand, Rwanda, El Salvador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. The growing movement also highlights the gradual shift in the U.N.'s top human rights body, which has previously scorned the plight of gays and lesbians. In 2003, the council's predecessor body, the Human Rights Commission held a heated dispute after a proposal made by Brazil and backed by European nations. Muslim countries balked, saying they couldn't accept any reference to the term "sexual orientation." Pakistan's ambassador went further, telling diplomats he preferred the term "sexual disorientation."

6. Unemployment Rises in Nearly All Metro Areas - CBS

Unemployment rose in nearly all of the 372 largest U.S. cities in January compared to the previous month, mostly because of seasonal changes such as the layoff of temporary retail employees hired for the holidays. The report shows that metro areas hit hard by the housing crisis are still struggling with high unemployment. At the same time, a strong recovery in the manufacturing sector, particularly among U.S. auto companies, has bolstered many smaller cities in the Midwest.

Meanwhile, several smaller cities that rely heavily on manufacturing have shown significant improvement since last January. The unemployment rate in Rockford, Ill., fell 5.3 percentage points in the past year, to 13.7% from 19%. That was the steepest drop in the nation. Year-to-year comparisons help filter out seasonal changes.

7. Unemployment Adds 9 Million Uninsured in U.S. - USA Today

The millions of Americans who lost their jobs and their health benefits during the recession often had no way to regain affordable health coverage, leaving them and their families at risk of financial ruin, according to a new report from The Commonwealth Fund. As health care costs continued to climb, both insured and uninsured had trouble affording care, the report states. In fact, an estimated 75 million Americans skipped doctor visits, prescriptions and recommended tests or treatments in 2010 because of costs. That's up from 47 million in 2001, the researchers noted.

With rising costs comes more medical debt, the report added. In 2010, 73 million Americans reported they had trouble paying for medical care or were saddled with medical debt. That's up from 58 million in 2005, the researchers pointed out. These debts have forced 29 million people to use their savings to pay medical bills, while 17 million have put these costs on credit cards and 22 million couldn't afford food, heat and rent due to medical bills. In addition, medical bills forced 4 million into bankruptcy, the researchers found.

8. U.S. Nuke Officials: Japan Crisis "Stabilizing" - CBS

A top official at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said Monday that the situation at the Japan's stricken Fukushima nuclear plant appears to be stabilizing. Dr. William Borchardt, the NRC's executive director for operations, said that containment vessels at three Fukushima reactors are intact and receiving injections of cooling water and that the formerly volatile situation involving spent fuel pools has also stabilized. NRC staff is in Tokyo conferring with Japanese government and industry officials on the disaster.

Borchardt laid out a plans for immediate "temporary inspections" of the 104 operating nuclear reactors in the U.S., as well as a 90-day review of nuclear safety and a longer-term look at "lessons learned" from the Japanese disaster that will likely emerge over months or years.

• Lord, we give you thanksgiving for this answer to prayer. We pray that nations will continue to work to speedily turn Japan upright again and help the nation get back on its feet. Stop the possibility of any more calamities with the nuclear plants. Help with the shelter, food, salvation, and warmth for the people.

Ill-fated US foreign policy a prophetic instrument?

President Ronald Reagan bombed Libya in response to a terrorist incident. When President George HW Bush initiated Operation Desert Storm, it was in response to a specific request to prevent Saddam Hussein from taking over Kuwait. When President George W Bush attacked Iraq, it was after Hussein said he was developing weapons of mass destruction and intended to use them against America and her allies--such as Israel. When he attacked Afghanistan, it was in response to the export of terrorism that resulted in the 911 attack on American soil. But now an American president is attacking Libya, which in of itself may have prophetic significance pointing to the coming of the Day of the Lord.

The White House decision to bomb Libya is a strange one. First, this president's ties to the Libyan dictator go back to the years when the president-to-be was attending Jeremiah Wright's church in Chicago. Wright, who is tight with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, is also a friend of Libya's Muammar Qadhafi. Qadhafi even called the American president "our son" in a letter pleading that the US stay out of the Libyan conflict. Farrakhan, who once referred to the American president as the "Messiah", has angrily rebuked the president saying, "you can't order him to step down and get out, who do you think you are?"

Qadhafi claims, and there have been media reports to confirm the claims, that al Qaeda is behind the rebellion in Libya. Qadhafi told the American president in his letter: "Al Qaeda is an armed organization, passing through Algeria, Mauritania and Mali. What would you do if you found them controlling American cities with the power of weapons?" We have an American president, who strongly criticized the Afghan and Iraqi war efforts against terrorism, bombing his friend in Libya, as al Qaeda waits in the wings to take over. In other parts of the Middle East, the US is assisting in toppling longstanding governments with al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood waiting in the shadows to take over.

Perplexing as it seems, there is some clarity. WikiLeaks released documents indicate the US has been involved since 2008 in destabilizing Middle Eastern governments in hopes of replacing them with democratic governments. This strategy was proven dangerous by the Palestinian Authority--where terrorists were elected. The current White House appears to have accelerated this strategy despite obvious indicators that the Moslem Brotherhood and its terrorist allies are powers in waiting. Ezekiel 30 talks of how "even as the day of the Lord is near" Egypt's "foundations shall be broken down," and Libya, "and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword." America may be instrumental in bringing this about.

The Prophetic Turning Point is on Your Hands

One of the things that has always made me proud to be an American is that we seem to have stood for what is good and right. We have been a nation who has a heart for those less fortunate. We have been the first to respond when even our enemies needed help during disasters. We have been a nation of people who sent missionaries to the rest of the world to spread the gospel. We have been a people whose gratitude to God for our many freedoms is etched in not only our founding documents, but also in every state Constitution. We have been a people who expressed love for God, family and country. But there are perilous times ahead for our beloved nation because even the church has lost its first love.

Every great nation throughout history faced a point, a generation, a time where its greatness began its decline for no great nation has survived the weathering of time and the weakening of its generations. America appears to be no exception.We are living during a time where our nation is declining at a rapid pace, at such a rapid pace that if not for a remnant of those who represent the traditional values of our collective populace, all would be lost even this very day. Our leadership is godless and overrun with connivers, deceivers, liars and profiteers. We have allowed our schools to become cesspools of immorality and confusion. All in the name of separation of church and state, and the church accepting such a lie.

The dripping drops of all that is wrong continue to fill the container of who we are as a people. And if this generation does not begin to stand, and stand strong, for what and who we truly are, the container of our collective national identity will overflow with lawlessness and we will be lost. Jeremiah 18:11-12 says of God's people in Judah, "Thus says the Lord, Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. And they said, There is not hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart."

Jeremiah 18:15 says the nation will be scattered, "Because my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up." What is it that we are as like the people of Judah? The pulpit is so full of self-improvement messages, allowing all sorts of extra-biblical doctrines, spinning wildly, or not spinning at all, that the impact is fruitless and the result is decay. Romans 13:12: "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." If our nation is to be put right, only God's people can do it. It has to start somewhere. Let it be us. Let it be now.

World's Christians in Danger

FRANKLIN GRAHAM: WORLD'S CHRISTIANS IN GRAVE DANGER

The Moslem Brotherhood, with the complicity of the Obama administration, has infiltrated the U.S. government at the highest levels and is influencing American policy that leaves the world's Christians in grave danger, warns internationally known evangelist Franklin Graham. The Moslem Brotherhood is very strong and active here in our country," Graham tells Newsmax. "We have these people advising our military and State Department. We've brought in Moslems to tell us how to make policy toward Moslem countries."It's like a farmer asking a fox, 'How do I protect my hen house?'"

That same Moslem Brotherhood is fomenting much of the rebellion and the deteriorating social order roiling the Middle East, forcing millions of Christians to flee for their lives, says Graham, son of beloved evangelist Dr. Billy Graham, and founder of The Samaritan's Purse international charity. "Under [Egypt's Hosni] Mubarek and [Jordan's] King Hussein and other moderate leaders, Christians had been protected," Graham says. 11 million Christians live in Egypt and I ear for them, because if the Muslim Brotherhood comes to power, you're going to see a great exodus of Christians. Same thing in Tunisia and Lebanon. I fear for the church because the Moslem Brotherhood is going to be a very terrible thing." (Newsmax) Read more.

- Praise the Lord for this warning and wisdom from Franklin Graham! Because many American Christians do not want to hear this news, be sure to share this article with those whom you know. Send a copy to your Congressman and Senators, especially those who are Christians. The Moslem Brotherhood (MB) never gives up in its pursuit of dominance of the world, and we must always follow Jesus' Great Commission to take the Gospel to the world. And we must continue to pray for the persecuted Christians throughout the world as well as for the effectiveness of missionaries trying to reach Moslems and people of other religions with the Gospel. Pray for strife within the MB so that confusion destroys its goals, even as you pray for their souls to be saved.

Obama Silent on Fogel Slayings

. . . Obama has yet to pronounce on the Fogel killings, although U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned what she called the "inhuman" killings "in the strongest possible terms."

The Anti-Defamation League and the Zionist Organization of America also issued statements saying the State Department statement was inadequate. "We respectfully suggest that a forceful, unequivocal, and public condemnation of incitement must be heard around the world and should also be directed to all Palestinians through their media," the ADL said in a letter to Clinton. Pro-Israel officials also have said they were irked by the State Department's expression of "deep concern" after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced 500 new housing starts in West Bank settlement as a response to the murders. Mainstream Palestinian leaders have condemned the killings.

Meanwhile, Malcolm Hoenlein, the executive vice president of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, slammed governments, including the Obama administration, for not denouncing the naming of a square in a West Bank town after a terrorist. Hoenlein made his comments Thursday in New York at a memorial service for the parents and three children of the Fogel family who were murdered March 11 in the West Bank settlement of Itamar. "If governments, even our own, do not stand out and shriek and condemn and take action when they see this kind of action by the Palestinian Authority and their representatives" -- and the incitement continues despite repeated promises -- then "we must make sure that our voices are heard," Hoenlein said. "We have to demand accountability and that there will be consequences."
Hoenlein compared those behind the killings to Nazis, and said they were "likely driven by a vicious hatred fostered by the continuous anti-Israel and anti-Jewish incitement of their political and religious leaders, starting with" Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. - Hoenlein is absolutely correct in voicing his concern that our president has not spoken against these heinous killings of innocent people. Contact your Congressman and Senators about this issue so that strong voices from our Capitol can be heard around the world. Pray for the perpetrators of this crime so that their consciences will be touched and the deception under which they live can be lifted. If we continue to pray on behalf of the Israelis, the Lord will move on our president and on our media and words will be stated correctly. Ask the Lord to comfort the members of the extended Fogel family, especially for the remaining orphaned children.

Japan's Tragedy Turns Spiritual

(Japan)-Warren Janzen, the International Director of SEND International, gave a sobering update on the situation in Japan this week, but notes that the disaster is now taking on a "spiritual tone."

Janzen said the the governor of Tokyo, Shintaro Ishihara, made a public statement that he feared the Japanese were being "punished."

"To have a public figure of his stature make a statement like that," he said, "opens up a public discussion on spiritual things."

"Some of our missionaries are going out on the street," he continued, "talking to random people, talking about the earthquake, the tsunami, and the nuclear situation there. People are engaging in spiritual conversation with strangers. That's just not typical."

Janzen was also quoted as saying it's a kairos moment for Japan. "We believe this an appointed time in the presence of God," he said. (Mission Network News)

Help from numerous countries around the world has now arrived in Japan to help survivors; engineers work to get the reactor cooling systems back up, while temporary efforts such as dumping seawater on the reactors continues.

I was looking for a YouTube video of an Israeli TV interview with Tamar Vogel, newly orphaned, but wise and composed beyond her years. During that search, I came upon this music video that, although it's sung in German, the meaning is perfectly clear. It's almost a lullaby from God type song for hurting hearts.
