"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"

Tuesday's Election

Brief Summary:

Tuesday's Election Results

It was not a good night for Republicans. Democrats are celebrating in one of the reddest states after Andy Beshear declared victory over incumbent Republican Gov. Matt Bevin in Kentucky, who said he'd not concede. In Virginia, Democrats won majorities in both the House and Senate, giving the party full control of the state government and solidifying what was once a swing state into a stronghold for the party. Things were more optimistic for Republicans in Mississippi, where they held on to the governor's office, beating back a veteran Democrat's bid for another potential election-night stunner. (Source: CNN) Read more here.

> > > Prayer Request:

As Governor Matt Bevin continues to refuse to concede, we ask your prayers that this vote count be TRUE. and for God's favor to rest upon this strong, pro-life advocate. Let's all TOUCH AND AGREE, according to the promise of Matthew 18:19)
- "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Focus on Israel

1. Russia captures advanced Israeli missile interceptor in Syria - Jerusalem Post

An advanced Israeli surface-to-air missile that was fired from the David's Sling (formerly known as the Magic Wand) missile system was given to Russia by Syria, when it was found intact after the rocket did not explode on contact, according to Russian media sources.

The rocket was reportedly fired on July 23, 2018, and Syrian forces that were dispatched to the scene found the missile intact after it sustained minor damage from impact. The missile was then taken to a Syrian-Russian base where it was transferred to Moscow for further research.

Russian media reports quoted Chinese news agency Sina saying that the missile was taken by Russia for "reverse engineering."

2. Leading Democrats: Israel must embrace pro-Palestinian policies or risk losing aid - World Israel News

Democratic presidential contenders Sanders, Warren and Buttigieg have called for changes to U.S. military aid to Israel.

Three leading Democratic presidential candidates recently endorsed a new policy regarding U.S. military aid to Israel: It should be conditioned on Israel embracing policies toward the Palestinians favored by American progressives.

At the J Street conference last week, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) demanded that Israel "fundamentally change" its approach to terrorist-controlled Gaza, adding, "I think it is fair to say that some [U.S. military aid to Israel] should go right now into humanitarian aid in Gaza."

Israeli officials believe such moves would enable Hamas to import more weapons and lead to another war.

3. Poll: Netanyahu edges out Gantz in head-to-head election - World Israel News

A new poll found that 46% would vote for Netanyahu and 43% for Benny Gantz if an election solely for prime minister were held.

With Israel mulling a direct election for prime minister as a way to avoid a third, disruptive general election unwanted by an exhausted public, a new poll finds that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would beat his rival, Blue and White leader Benny Gantz.

Forty-six percent would vote again for Israel's longest-serving prime minister. Forty-three percent would choose Gantz. But with 11 percent undecided, a prime ministerial race, while still a hypothetical, is very much up for grabs.

Curiously, while a majority choose Netanyahu, the poll also finds he is the figure held most responsible for the failure to form a unity government thus far.

4. Israeli supreme court upholds government decision to expel BDS activist - World Israel News

If the government decides to follow through and deport Shakir, it will be the first expulsion of its kind under the 2017 law.

Israel's Supreme Court rejected on Tuesday a Human Rights Watch employee's (HRW) appeal to block an expulsion order that was handed down by the government for his ties to the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, reports NGO Monitor.

"I am delighted that the Supreme Court this morning has validated my decision to not extend the visa of Omar Shakir, one of the leaders of the BDS movement, for his support for boycotting Israel," said Israeli Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.

"All those who work against Israel must know that we will not let them live or work here," he added.

5. Israel celebrates 28,000 new immigrants in past year - World Israel News

"On Aliyah Day we honor the immigrants to Israel through the generations - the people who left everything and immigrated to Israel," the Minister of Immigration and Absorption said.

The Ministry of Immigration and Absorption on Monday evening launched events celebrating Aliyah day in honor of olim, or new immigrants to Israel.

During a special ceremony, Minister of Immigration and Absorption Yoav Galant awarded a prize to those immigrants whose special achievements were determined as "an extraordinary contribution to society and the country."

The winners included Professor Karl Skorecki, a world-renowned physician and scientist in the field of genetics, Yaakov Friedman, the coach of Israel's national fencing team, and Ronit Avera, who has developed a culture-oriented program to prevent and contend with domestic violence in the Ethiopian community.

6. 'Unity government is dead - Israel headed for another election' - Israel National News

A senior political source is quoted in Israel Hayom as stating that in the current situation - especially after last week's interrogation of government spokespeople and the reactions it has provoked in both camps - the differences in positions between the parties have become too large and unbridgeable. According to the source, there is no chance of establishing a unity government.

"The unity government is dead and Israel is on its way to a third election," the source is quoted as saying.

7. Netanyahu says Iranian precision-guided missiles in Yemen can reach Israel - JNS.org

Tehran's use of "Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen as bases to attack Israel" is a "great, great danger," says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran on Monday of deploying precision-guided missiles in Yemen for use against Israel, adding that Tehran is already using Iraq, Syria and Lebanon for this purpose.

Speaking at a press conference following a meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Netanyahu said Iran's aim was to be capable of targeting not only Israel, but any location in the Mideast, according to Reuters.

"Iran wants to develop precision-guided missiles that can hit any target in Israel within five to 10 meters," said Netanyahu, according to the report. He added that Iran's use of "Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen as bases to attack Israel" was a "great, great danger."

8. Major Rabbis Unite in Decisive Call For All Jews To Return From Exile: "It's Time"- BreakingIsraelNews

In a rare consensus, an impressive array of some of the most prominent rabbis of this generation came together in a declaration saying that there are no longer any valid excuses: Jews must act on the Torah commandment to move to Israel.

The consensus came as the first stage in an ongoing multi-faceted project initiated by Joshua Wander, a resident of the Mount of Olives. This stage was timed to coincide with the week in which Jews around the world read the section of the Torah in which God tells Abraham to leave his father's land.

The Daily Brief

1. U.S. Congress, White House mull stop-gap funding bill to avoid government shutdowns - Reuters

The U.S. Congress and the White House are discussing legislation to keep U.S. government agencies operating beyond Nov. 21 when existing funding expires, with an eye toward avoiding shutdowns as Democrats could be moving to impeach President Donald Trump, lawmakers and a White House official said on Tuesday.

Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby, a Republican, told reporters that a range of dates were possible for the duration of the next stop-gap funding bill. A bill lasting until mid-December or even well into 2020 was possible.

Both Republicans and Democrats are mindful of the political chaos that could ensue if Congress was in the midst of an impeachment battle with Trump as a partial government shutdown was triggered over the lack of operating funds. Such dysfunction in Washington could rattle global financial markets while causing deep concerns domestically about the federal government's ability to endure two crises at once.

- Father, we pray for Congress, the White House, and other government officials to put their differences aside to remember the citizenry that they serve, and what is best for them and the country. Give them wisdom and strength as they make their decisions.

- If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 )

2. Democrats release latest interview transcript as impeachment probe goes public - The Hill

House Democrats on Wednesday released the transcript of their interview with the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, who had delivered damning testimony about President Trump's dealings with Ukraine. William Taylor, who serves as the chargé d'affaires for Ukraine, is also scheduled to be the first witness to testify in an open hearing as Democrats take their impeachment inquiry public.

Taylor is viewed as a key witness who previously testified in meticulous detail about what he considered an effort by Trump and his allies to pressure Ukraine into opening investigations that would benefit Trump politically.

In leaked copies of his 15-page opening statement, Taylor voiced concerns that the Trump administration had withheld nearly $400 million in aid as leverage to get Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to open investigations into interference in the 2016 election and former Vice President Joe Biden, one of his leading 2020 political rivals.

- Father, we cancel the enemies plans right now in the name of Jesus Christ. We call down these plans of impeachment, and we call them null and void that they will boomerang back onto the enemy. We pray that the lies and corruption will be exposed and that the eyes of the hearts of the American people will be flooded with light to see the TRUTH of what is happening to our country.

- "Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."(Luke 23:34)

3. Fox legal analyst signals alleged whistleblower could be 'implicated' in FISA report - Washington Examiner

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett indicated the alleged Ukraine whistleblower could be "implicated" in the Justice Department inspector general's report on possible abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

A post on Jarrett's personal website, authored by "staff" and shared by his verified Twitter account, said a key takeaway was the "reported direct relationship" Eric Ciaramella had with former President Barack Obama's CIA Director James Brennan and national security adviser Susan Rice, as well as "the "Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election."

This "makes them a likely candidate to be at the very least called as a witness in the cases that are likely to start following the FISA report," the post said, "In addition, his area of expertise is reportedly Russia and Ukraine; two of the reported locations where information used in the anti-Trump Russian Dossier was 'gathered.' The name that Real Clear Investigations revealed is also listed as a source in one of Robert Mueller's footnotes in his report."

4. Alleged 'Whistleblower' Eric Ciaramella Worked Closely with Anti-Trump Dossier Hoaxer - Breitbart

Eric Ciaramella was part of an Obama administration email chain celebrating the eventual signing of a $1 billion U.S. loan guarantee to Ukraine. That and other emails show Ciaramella interfaced about Ukraine with individuals who played key roles in facilitating the infamous anti-Trump dossier produced by Fusion GPS [such as] then-Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland.

Nuland has come under repeated fire for her various roles in the anti-Trump dossier controversy. FBI notes cite career Justice Department official Bruce Ohr as saying that Nuland was in touch with Fusion GPS co-founder and dossier producer Glenn Simpson. Sen. John McCain, who infamously delivered the dossier to then-FBI Director James Comey, reportedly first dispatched an aide, David J. Kramer, to inquire with Nuland about the dossier claims.

In their book, Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin's War on America and the Election of Donald Trump, authors and reporters Michael Isikoff and David Corn write that Nuland gave the green light for the FBI to first meet with Steele regarding his dossier's claims. It was at that meeting that Steele initially reported his dossier charges to the FBI, the book relates.

5. 'Black Voters for Trump' To Launch on Friday, Nov. 8 - CNS News

On Friday, Nov. 8, the "Black Voters for Trump" coalition will launch in Atlanta, Ga., according to Katrina Pierson, a senior adviser to the Trump 2020 campaign. Black Voices for Trump is "a coalition dedicated to recruiting and activating Black Americans in support of President Trump," an announcement about the event stated.

"Black Americans have never had a better champion than President Trump," said Pierson in a Nov. 4 tweet. "The Black Voices for Trump coalition will be a national effort to mobilize and empower Black Americans who support President Trump to help get the message of 'Promises Made, Promises Kept' into communities across America."

We pray that everything their hands touch prospers. We pray that the eyes of the communities this coalition seeks to impact would be flooded with light and that the truth would be revealed to them. Amen.

- I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,(Ephesians 1:18)

6. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Calls for Removal of Chinese Equipment from U.S. Telecom Networks - Breitbart

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai has outlined a plan for the removal of Chinese equipment from U.S. telecommunications networks, saying that it poses an "unacceptable risk" to national security, during a speech marking Pai's most aggressive stance to date on China.

Pai specifically called out hardware manufactured by China's Huawei and ZTE, which are leaders in 5G wireless technology. He said that the FCC will vote later this month to launch a process to remove and replace Chinese equipment from government-funded communications networks, focusing on hardware manufactured by Huawei and ZTE.

The move follows President Donald Trump's executive order in May prohibiting the purchase and installation of telecommunications equipment in the U.S. that has been deemed a security threat.

7. Judge strikes down Trump rule on health care 'conscience' rights - The Hill

A federal judge in New York on Wednesday struck down a Trump administration rule that would make it easier for health care providers to refuse to perform services, such as abortions, that conflict with their religious beliefs.

District Judge Paul Engelmayer invalidated the rule on multiple grounds, including a finding that it violated the Constitution's spending clause by allowing the administration to cut off funds approved by Congress to providers who do not comply with the rule by forcing employees to perform services to which they object.

A number of states, including New York, as well as Planned Parenthood and other groups had sued over the rule, which was scheduled to go into effect on Nov. 22. "Today's decision is an important victory against the Trump Administration's cruel and unlawful attempts to roll back critical patient protections," Alexa Kolbi-Molinas, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, said in a statement.

8. Breaking! Bevin requests Kentucky recanvass in Governor's Race - Fox News

Republican incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin said Wednesday he is requesting a recanvass in Kentucky's gubernatorial race after initial results from Tuesday night show him trailing by about 5,000 votes, claiming the existence of "significant irregularities."

"We want this process to move forward expeditiously," Bevin said at an afternoon news conference.

Bevin said he would detail those irregularities at a later time, but claimed thousands of absentee ballots "were illegally counted" and cited reports of people being turned away from polling places.

9. Two Iranians plead guilty to spying on dissidents in the US - Israel National News

Two men arrested last year for spying on Iranian dissidents in the United States have pleaded guilty to charges in a Washington court, the Justice Department announced Wednesday, according to AFP.

Iranian-US dual citizen Ahmadreza Mohammadi Doostdar and Majid Ghorbani, an Iranian resident of California, tried to penetrate the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), a group of Iranian dissidents in exile, in New York and Washington from 2017-2018, according to the department.

"The Iranian government thought it could get away with conducting surveillance on individuals in the United States by sending one of its agents here to task a permanent resident with conducting and collecting that surveillance," said Jessie Liu, the US attorney for Washington.

"This case highlights our efforts to pursue those who threaten national security and disrupt foreign governments that target US persons." (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that these men were caught, and that the many Iranian citizens in our nation, who have fled their country, are safe. Thank you, Lord, that justice has been served, in Your name, amen.

10. AG Barr Says America Was Founded on Christian Values, Progressive Group Calls Statement 'Toxic Christian Nationalism' - ChristianHeadlines.com

U.S. Attorney General William Barr is receiving heat from a liberal Christian group for a recent speech at the Notre Dame University Law School in which he praised religion as a basis for the country's moral system.

"The Founding generation were Christians. They believed that the Judeo-Christian moral system corresponds to the true nature of man," Barr, a devout Catholic, said, according to Fox News. "Those moral precepts start with the two great commandments-to love God with your whole heart, soul and mind; and to love thy neighbor as thyself."

The progressive group, called Faithful America, believe the speech did not accurately represent all of the county's faiths. Their petition, which has over 14,000 signatures, asks the Department of Justice to investigate Barr's speech and remove it from the University of Notre Dame's website. (Read more)

- Father God, the twisted thinking of the progressive left now borders on insanity. Abba Father God, only You can deliver these from their state of delusion, setting them free to walk in truth and to find You as their Savior. We ask You to forgive them, O Lord, and to rescue each one from the enemy's claws. In Your name, amen.

- "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight."
(Isaiah 5:20,21)

Deep State Election Security Uh Huh

Election results were coming in from states that hold off year elections. The bottom line-Virginia continued its move to the left by putting Democrats in charge of both state houses and the governor's mansion; North Carolina and Mississippi solidified Republican officeholders; and Kentucky was a mixed bag, but the trend was very conservative. Through all this, the Federal government felt it necessary to issue a public statement regarding election security. In a joint news release, the Attorney General's office, Homeland Security, National Intelligence, the FBI, NSA, US Cyber Command and the CISA reassured Americans that they were making election security a top priority. This should send chills down your spine.

The statement said: "In an unprecedented level of coordination, the U.S. government is working with all 50 states and U.S. territories, local officials, and private sector partners to identify threats, broadly share information, and protect the democratic process. Our adversaries want to undermine our democratic institutions, influence public sentiment, and affect government policies. Russia, China, Iran, and other foreign malicious actors all will seek to interfere in the voting process or influence voter perceptions. Adversaries may try to accomplish their goals through a variety of means, including social media campaigns, directing disinformation operations, or conducting disruptive or destructive cyberattacks on state and local infrastructure."

"While at this time we have no evidence of a compromise or disruption to election infrastructure that would enable adversaries to prevent voting, change vote counts, or disrupt the ability to tally votes, we continue to vigilantly monitor any threats to U.S. elections. The U.S. government will defend our democracy and maintain transparency with the American public about our efforts. An informed public is a resilient public. Americans should go to trusted sources for election information, such as their state and local election officials. We encourage every American to report any suspicious activity to their local officials, the FBI, or DHS." Why should this send chills down your spine? Elections are local. We don't need the feds watching our every move, encroaching, applying pressures. Soft tyranny in the name of security.

There is a system to prevent fraud at each precinct that has been in place since we began holding elections in this country. While there are problems with election security because dead people, absent people, and illegal people vote, having the "deep state" involved as a guardian of election security is very dangerous to our Constitutional Republic given it's commitment to controlling our government. Think false dossiers, the FISA secret court, so-called whistleblowers, books written against an elected president by CIA operatives, and so forth. These people need to stay out of our precincts and our elections. It's like the fox guarding the chicken coup. Proverbs 12:22 says, "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly ae his delight." Don't be deceived by propaganda and lying lips.

Sound the Shofar:

Praying the End Before the Beginning

11/5/2019

During the last several months we have seen violence and chaos in our streets, on campuses, at places of religious worship, in homes, in businesses and government offices. Talks of civil war and slander and accusation in the main stream media. Disaster after Disaster after disaster has occurred with floods, drought, hurricanes, tornadoes and wildfires. Unexplained explosions and earthquakes. Terror cels have been broken up and assassination attempts against President Trump have also been averted. Human trafficking and drug smuggling have been exposed.

This morning marked the inauguration of the One Voice Prayer Movement. It was led by Pastor Paula White Cain who is President Trump's pastor and a member of the White House Staff. She has ministered to his family for over 18 years. Other national prayer ministry leaders participated, all with the ultimate goal of uniting the Body of Christ in prayer (irregardless of religious denomination) for the President, our nation's well being and revival in this nation. This is exactly 365 days before the next presidential election.

The call started off with repentance and then strategic prayer points. It will be held every first Tuesday of the month until the election. For more information on how to participate please go to onevoiceprayermovement.com
So I asked the Lord what is the best strategy to pray regarding matters I just outlined. Chaos, violence, sex trafficking, disasters, terrorism. It is wearing down intercessors, people of faith and just about everyone who isn't asleep. The enemy seems to have boundless energy, BUT GOD!

The Holy Spirit then quickened in my spirit to pray the desired ending before it even starts (again). So I asked how that would look and He began to download it to me with the following prayers. Please join me in prayer for nation, our state, our cities, our families.

God Bless You and God Bless America!

MY HOPE IS BUILT

The Solid Rock

"The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." (Matthew 7:25-26)

Lyrics

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

Refrain:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;

In Him, my righteousness, alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

Signs and Wonders

Ancient 70-Mile-Long Wall Found in Western Iran.

But Who Built It?

Archaeologists have identified the remains of a stone wall in Iran about the length of the famous Hadrian's Wall that was built across England by the Romans. The wall, which extends about 71 miles (115 kilometers), was found in Sar Pol-e Zahab County in western Iran.

Pottery found along the wall suggests that it was built sometime between the fourth century B.C. and sixth century A.D., Alibaigi wrote. "Remnants of structures, now destroyed, are visible in places along the wall. These may have been associated turrets [small towers] or buildings," wrote Alibaigi, noting that the wall itself is made from "natural local materials, such as cobbles and boulders, with gypsum mortar surviving in places."
Though the wall's existence was unknown to archaeologists, those living near it have long known about the wall, calling it the "Gawri Wall," Alibaigi wrote.
Archaeologists are not certain who built the structure, and for what purpose. Because of the poor preservation of the barrier, the scientists aren't even sure of its exact width and height. Their best estimates put it at 13 feet (4 meters) wide and about 10 feet (3 m) high, he said.

"It is unclear whether it was defensive or symbolic," wrote Alibaigi, noting that it might mark the border for an ancient empire, perhaps the Parthians (who flourished between 247 B.C. and A.D. 224) or the Sassanians (A.D. 224-651). Both empires in western Iran built large castles, cities and irrigation systems, so it's likely that both had the resources to build the Gawri Wall, wrote Alibaigi. (Live Science) Read more

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
