Ensuring the Security of the 2020 Elections

Joint Statement from DOJ, DOD, DHS, DNI, FBI, NSA, and CISA on Ensuring Security of 2020 Elections

Attorney General William Barr, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan, Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, FBI Director Christopher Wray, U.S. Cyber Command Commander and NSA Director Gen. Paul Nakasone, and CISA Director Christopher Krebs today released the following joint statement:

Today, dozens of states and local jurisdictions are hosting their own elections across the country and, less than a year from now, Americans will go to the polls and cast their votes in the 2020 presidential election. Election security is a top priority for the United States government. Building on our successful, whole-of-government approach to securing the 2018 elections, we have increased the level of support to state and local election officials in their efforts to protect elections. The federal government is prioritizing the sharing of threat intelligence and providing support and services that improve the security of election infrastructure across the nation.
In an unprecedented level of coordination, the U.S. government is working with all 50 states and U.S. territories, local officials, and private sector partners to identify threats, broadly share information, and protect the democratic process. We remain firm in our commitment to quickly share timely and actionable information, provide support and services, and to defend against any threats to our democracy.

Our adversaries want to undermine our democratic institutions, influence public sentiment, and affect government policies. Russia, China, Iran, and other foreign malicious actors all will seek to interfere in the voting process or influence voter perceptions. Adversaries may try to accomplish their goals through a variety of means, including social media campaigns, directing disinformation operations, or conducting disruptive or destructive cyberattacks on state and local infrastructure.

While at this time we have no evidence of a compromise or disruption to election infrastructure that would enable adversaries to prevent voting, change vote counts, or disrupt the ability to tally votes, we continue to vigilantly monitor any threats to U.S. elections.
The U.S. government will defend our democracy and maintain transparency with the American public about our efforts. An informed public is a resilient public. Americans should go to trusted sources for election information, such as their state and local election officials. We encourage every American to report any suspicious activity to their local officials, the FBI, or DHS. In past election cycles, reporting by Americans about suspicious activity provided valuable insight that has made our elections more secure. The greatest means to combat these threats is a whole-of-society effort.

Focus on Israel

1. Netanyahu: Iran's decision to enrich uranium at Fordow endangers the world - Jerusalem Post

Iran's decision to enrich uranium to five percent at its underground Fordow facility nuclear facility endangers Israel, the Middle East and the world, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

"Iran expands its aggression everywhere. It seeks to envelope Israel. It seeks to threaten Israel. It seeks to destroy Israel. We fight back," Netanyahu said. "I also want to say, given Iran's efforts to expand its nuclear weapons program, expand its enrichment of uranium for making atomic bombs, I repeat here once again: We will never let Iran develop nuclear weapons. This is not only for our security and our future; it's for the future of the Middle East and the world," Netanyahu said.

He spoke in Jerusalem at an event marking the dedication of the new visitor's center at JNF-KKL Hula Lake Park.

Earlier in the day Iran's nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi promised that his country would violate a critical element of the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which Tehran had worked out with the six world powers. The US left the deal last year and has imposed crippling sanctions on Iran in an attempt to force it to renegotiate the document. Tehran in turn has began violating the deal in a counter attempt to pressure the US to recall the sanctions

"Tomorrow we will enrich uranium to five percent at Fordow. Right now we have enough 20% enriched uranium but we can produce it if needed," the Students News Agency ISNA quoted Salehi as saying, a day before Iran takes its fourth step to further scale back its commitment to a 2015 nuclear deal.

2. IDF Operations Head: Threat posed by Iran is not 'fear-mongering' - Jerusalem Post

The Head of the IDF's Operations Directorate Maj.-Gen. Aharon Haliva warned Tuesday night while asking for a budget increase that the next year will not be favorable to Israel's security due to the increased threat posed by Iran.

"All signs indicate that the next year has the potential to be a negative year from a security perspective," Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva was heard saying to the Finance Ministry's Budget Department in remarks aired by the Kan public broadcaster.

According to the remarks, Haliva is heard saying that the IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi said that Israel's military has a new front in Iraq before he is saying that there are Iranian Quds forces in the Golan Heights "and that's not fear-mongering, they're there."

According to Haliva while the last few months have been "quiet and secure" for the citizens of Israel, "during those months and the months before that we have been living in the most complicated from a security perspective and in how we are operating."

3. 'Unity government is dead - Israel headed for another election' - Israel National News

A senior political source is quoted in Israel Hayom as stating that in the current situation - especially after last week's interrogation of government spokespeople and the reactions it has provoked in both camps - the differences in positions between the parties have become too large and unbridgeable. According to the source, there is no chance of establishing a unity government.

The source states that the prime minister's legal issue is the main obstacle preventing a unity government. He said that Blue and White expects within a few weeks a decision by the attorney general to indict Netanyahu. As far as Blue and White is concerned, even if Mendelblit decides against bribery charges, any indictment will block the possibility of forming a government with Netanyahu.

On the other hand, according to the source, Netanyahu wants to continue as prime minister even after an indictment and does not intend to leave his position earlier. "The unity government is dead and Israel is on its way to a third election," the source is quoted as saying.

4. Blue and White divided on unity government plan - Israel National News

Yesh Atid, one of three factions within the larger Blue and White party, is working to prevent the formation of a unity government with the Likud on the basis of the compromise plan offered by President Reuven Rivlin, under which the premiership would be effectively shared by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz.

Netanyahu would serve first as premier under the arrangement suggested by Rivlin, though Gantz would serve as 'interim prime minister' should Netanyahu be indicted.

According to a report by Kan Bet, during a meeting of Blue and White lawmakers Monday night, a majority of MKs from both the Israel Resilience and Telem factions within Blue and White endorsed the formation of a unity government on the basis of Rivlin's compromise plan.

Most lawmakers from the Yesh Atid faction, however, rejected the plan in favor of the formation of a unity government which would rely on the support of the predominantly Arab Joint List party.

5. Proposal to Vote Directly for Prime Minister on The Table - Jerusalem Online

Israel may head to an unprecedented 3rd round of elections may be very well in the scope of possibility The idea, supported by MK Miki Zohar of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, would send Israelis to the polls to vote only for prime minister-Netanyahu or Benny Gantz, leader of the Blue and White party. The proposal has been publicly praised by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.

In addition to Deri and Zohar, the idea is supported by MK Ayelet Shaked, leader of the New Right party, though Netanyahu himself appears apprehensive. Zohar says that the Likud would move ahead with legislating a direct election of prime minister. Israel continues to be ruled by a Netanyahu-led government that has been in power since the March 2015 election.

1. Trump calls for 'war' against Mexican drug cartel 'monsters' after Americans murdered - Fox News

Officials say at least six children and three women, apparently all U.S. citizens living in a community of Americans in Mexico, were gunned down after their convoy came under fire during a daylight ambush Monday. One child is currently missing, and authorities are searching the mountainous area on the Sonora-Chihuahua border for the child.

Trump has repeatedly raised concerns about levels of gang violence and drug-related crime in Mexico, particularly as it relates to securing the U.S.-Mexico border. The two countries have stepped up cooperation on that front over the summer, with asylum seekers being returned to Mexico to await hearings, while Mexico has also increased its troop presence on both its northern and southern borders.

A number of Republicans backed Trump's call for action in Mexico in response to the massacre. Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., said, "This is what happens when Mexico's politicians look the other way and let drug cartels bribe their way to power. Enough. Mexico's president hasn't taken the threat seriously and innocent American lives have been lost again. The Mexican government must partner with U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies to wage a full-scale offensive," he said. (Read more)

- Father God, how distressing to hear about the deaths of these Americans. Lord, we come against the resistance of the President of Mexico to receiving and cooperating with the United States in defeating the cartels, as their violence and evil has exceeded all bounds. We speak a spirit of unity of purpose to both countries to rid the world of this wickedness. Father, guide these leaders in doing a great work to push back darkness.

- "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

2. The Michael Flynn smoking gun: FBI headquarters altered interview summary - Washington Examiner

I once cynically viewed the frenzied focus on FBI actions during the 2016 Russian election-meddling investigation as partisan and overwrought. With her filing of a blistering Motion to Compel against federal prosecutors in the Michael Flynn case just made public, Sidney Powell [contends] that Page, the DOJ lawyer assigned to the office of then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, may have materially altered Flynn's interview FD-302, which was drafted by Strzok.

As in most instances in life, words matter. The change in wording was instrumental in moving Flynn from a target to a subject. What apparently followed was a "tweaking" of the account to ensure Flynn be charged with Title 18 USC § 1001.

By "dirtying up" Flynn, Comey's FBI headquarters team shortcut the investigative process. Arm-twisting Flynn through the "tweaked" version of his interview would inspire him "flipping" and give them the desperately sought-after evidence of Trump-Russia collusion that the wholly unverified Steele dossier was never remotely capable of providing. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, it is outrageous that FBI officials would "tweak" an interview to get a desired outcome. We pray for You to provide the means for this lawyer to correct this injustice that has been done to General Flynn. We thank You that hidden evil things are being revealed day by day.

- "Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their reward from God." (1 Corinthians 4:5)

3. Republicans May Add Jim Jordan to House Intelligence Committee Amid Impeachment Probe - Epoch Times

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) may be shifted onto the House Intelligence Committee, he confirmed on Nov. 5. "If Kevin [McCarthy] and Ranking Member [Devin] Nunes want that to happen-I just want to help our team. I want to help the country see the truth here, that President Trump didn't do anything wrong and what the Democrats are doing is partisan, it's unfair, and, frankly, it's ridiculous."

Jordan's comments came after a senior Republican aide, who was not named, told CBS that top Republicans in the House are considering temporarily adding Jordan to the House Intelligence Committee, also known as the HPSCI.

"Democrats have turned the Intelligence Committee into an impeachment committee," the senior Republican aide, who was granted anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, told the outlet. "We are interested in putting together the best team." (Read more)

- Father, I pray for Jim Jordan to be on the Intelligence Committee and may someone willingly step aside for him to do so, according to Your plans and purposes. Place this courageous Congressman, who stands for righteousness on behalf of our President and nation, in a position of being present in every aspect of this impeachment debacle. Let Rep Jordan's voice and heart continue to be heard as he witnesses the events taking place against our nation's people, President and Constitution. Let him stand firmly planted on the foundation of righteousness and justice.

- "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan." (Proverbs 29:2)

4. Diplomats to battle Trump, expand legal defense fund - Washington Examiner

The nation's diplomatic corps, feeling under fire from President Trump as he defends his actions in Ukraine, are stepping up their efforts to fight the White House and protect their own. In one key move, the American Foreign Service Association has increased its requests for donations to its legal defense fund.

In its November issue of the authoritative magazine Foreign Service Journal, the group said it would protect diplomats under fire, like former Ukraine Ambassador Marie L. Yovanovitch, pushed out by the White House. It also featured an editorial from AFSA President Eric Rubin promising to defend diplomats from attacks.

"We expect our elected and appointed leaders to respect the career professionals of the Foreign Service and to recognize their commitment to serving the United States and to honoring their oath to the U.S. Constitution," he wrote, adding, "We also expect them to refrain from equating well-considered dissent for disloyalty. Constructive dissent must be confidential, never public; and dissenters must accept that at the end of the day our policy will be set by our elected leaders." (Read more)

- Lord God, the war between the actors in the Deep State and the Trump Administration is becoming more evident by the day. We pray in the Spirit over this report, asking for a move of reconciliation between the two sides, by Your grace, amen.

- "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Ephesians 6:18)

5. HHS Proposes Rule to Protect Convictions of Govt. Funded Faith-Based Foster, Adoption Agencies - Christian News

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has proposed a rule that would provide protections for faith-based foster and adoption agencies that otherwise might lose federal grant funds for operating in accordance with their religious convictions - namely in declining to place children in households where there is not both a mother and father.

HHS noted that those organizations whose continued service to children and families are on the line are "providing a substantial percentage of services pursuant to some department-funded programs and are effective partners of federal and state government in providing such services." It also explained that change to the rules were necessary following "several complaints, requests for exceptions, and lawsuits."

"The proposed rule represents the Trump Administration's strong commitment to the rule of law - the Constitution, federal statutes, and Supreme Court decisions. These require that the federal government not infringe on religious freedom in its operation of HHS grant programs and address the impact of regulatory actions on small entities," HHS stated in a press release on Friday. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that President Trump continues to take action, demonstrating his strong commitment to the rule of law―the Constitution, federal statutes, and Supreme Court decisions. We praise You, Lord, that under this administration, the federal government will not infringe on religious freedom in its operation of HHS grant programs, impacting Faith-Based Adoption and Foster Care. In Your Name, amen.

- "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

6. Trump administration notifies U.N. of planned Paris climate accord exit - Jerusalem Post

The Trump administration has formally notified the United Nations that it will withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement, the first formal step in a one-year process to exit the global pact to fight climate change, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed on Monday.

"The U.S. is proud of our record as a world leader in reducing all emissions, fostering resilience, growing our economy, and ensuring energy for our citizens. Ours is a realistic and pragmatic model," Pompeo said on Twitter.

The State Department letter to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres started the clock on a process that would be completed one day after the 2020 U.S. presidential election, on Nov. 4, 2020. Environmental groups said they hoped Trump would be defeated in 2020 by a rival who would re-join the agreement with bold new targets. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we offer you great thanks and praise for this good report. We ask that you continue to impart your wisdom to President Trump and to empower him to walk in your ways. May he be strengthened to continually stand firm with his eyes upon you and his heart in your hand throughout these evil days.

- "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord." (Isaiah 55:8)

- "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a water course wherever he pleases." (Proverbs 21:1)

7. Liberal Dark Money Group Launches $75 Million Digital Campaign Against Trump - Free Beacon

A Washington, D.C.-based liberal group is launching a $75 million digital campaign against President Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 elections. The campaign, led by former Obama campaign personnel and super PAC veterans, is called "Four is Enough."

ACRONYM, a 501(c)(4) dark money group and an affiliated political action committee, plans to spend heavily in critical swing states such as North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, in an effort to bolster the eventual Democratic nominee, according to the New York Times.

Trump's reelection campaign has spent more than $26 million nationally on Facebook and Google advertising, which is more than the top four Democratic presidential candidates have spent on those platforms combined, according to the Times. The group hopes to put a dent in the spending gap with a series of negative ads aimed at turning online viewers away from the president. (Read more)

- Oh Holy One - You are the author and finisher of all things. Let Your plans and purposes for our King and nation be fulfilled in this season. Cause those whose political intentions are devious and corrupt to bow their knees to You, our Holy God and let their plans and schemes fall to the ground as ashes to be trampled under our feet. There is so much at stake these days because the enemy is demanding to have his way, but let the church of Jesus Christ continue to cry out to you day and night for righteousness and let faith be found in this earth. Defeat this liberal dark money digital campaign scheme against our President and bring the elections onto an even and fair footing. In Jesus name. Amen.

- "But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness." (Psalm 9:7-8)

8. Andy McCarthy: No crime in transcripts - WND

House Democrats who released transcripts of the testimonies of former ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland and former Ukraine special envoy Kurt Volker contend they bolster the case for impeachment of President Trump. But former assistant U.S. attorney Andrew C. McCarthy said Tuesday he doesn't see any crimes or actions worthy of impeachment.

"It seems to me like a really botched situation," he said. "And what I'm fearful of, frankly, is we're all going to strain our brains for the next few weeks to get to the bottom of what actually happened here, and what we're going to find is that it's much ado about nothing."

He emphasized that "a lot of people had an idea about doing things that they shouldn't have done, but ultimately nothing ever happened. You know, the Ukrainians got their aid - nothing ended up being pulled back from them. They didn't have to make a commitment to investigate the Bidens." (Read more)

- Father God, we praise You for this testimony, offered by a former assistant U.S. Attorney. Bless him, Lord, and keep him from harm. In time, America and the whole world will know that this Ukrainian witchhunt was surely a matter of "sound and fury, signifying nothing." We speak SHALOM over this chaos, in Your name.

- "O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just."
(Psalm 7:9)

9. ISIS Tells Followers to Set Forest Fires in U.S., Europe - Free Beacon

A media outlet affiliated with ISIS has been instructing the group's radical adherents to set forest fires in the United States and Europe to cause mass ecological disasters, according to posts on an internet forum dedicated to the terror group.

"The first poster in the series was published in April 2019," according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, which tracks the radical forum. "The text reads: 'Oh monotheists [followers of ISIS], ignite fires in the forests and fields, and we are addressing especially those who live in Europe and America, for they are painful to them.'"

The fourth poster, released on Monday, includes similar text: "Ignite fires in the forests of America, France, Britain, and Germany, for they are painful to them." (Read more)

- Abba, Father of all creation, we bring these "instructions" before Your almighty throne. Lord, protect any forests or natural resources here and abroad that may be targeted. Send your angels to uncover any unholy plot and stop the perpetrators in their tracks.

Not only do we pray against these evil directives through the shed blood of the Lamb, we also pray for forgiveness and the salvation of those who wish us harm and destruction. Your word says that it is not your will that any should perish-send the fire and hot winds of your Holy Spirit to visit them and bring not only the fear of the Lord but also your salvation and deliverance. Bring repentance and the revelation that you are the only true and living God who loves them beyond all they could ask or imagine. Father, in your love and mercy, warn those who refuse to repent of the eternal fire that awaits them.

- "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:15)

"For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land." (Psalm 37:9)

10. US unveils fresh sanctions against top Iranian commanders, officials - Times of Israel

The United States on Monday announced sanctions against Iranian military commanders and officials, on the 40th anniversary of the 1979 US embassy takeover.

The sanctions, announced on the US Department of the Treasury's website, target nine people, including top Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammad Bagheri, the country's chief justice, Ebrahim Raisi, and Ali Akbar Velayati, a top adviser to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Velayati, who served as Iran's foreign minister from 1981-1997, is wanted in Argentina, in connection with the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center blamed on Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite militant group with close ties to Tehran. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that these new sanctions now levied against this increasingly hostile and dangerous nation would have the full effect desired, and that Iran would stand down from making these threats to America. In Your name, amen.

- "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Standing boldly against insurrection

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) this week exhorted readers to take action against impeaching President Donald Trump. This is key. Impeachment will only occur if politicians believe public opinion is behind it. IF they sense that there will be severe consequences, they will be less likely to pursue impeachment. So it is very important to voice your opinion often and boldly. It's also imperative that you talk about impeachment to your friends and family. Educate them with what you know about the facts. While they may not want to hear it, they need to know, no matter how uncomfortable it is to them. Don't argue or insult-that's what people do when they have no facts. CHPP and the Daily Jot will equip you.

This impeachment is important because it threatens your Constitutional rights. If a loud group of socialists can finalize a coup by impeaching an elected president on third or fourth hand information, the Constitution is in danger. Likewise, if unelected bureaucrats at the State Department, CIA, FBI, NSA and other deep state administrative offices can remove a president by working with a political party, not only the Constitution is at risk, but your freedom of speech and religion are in jeopardy. This is the precedent of tyranny. Of course, your uninformed friends and family will say, "Oh, I don't believe that." Point them toward Venezuela, Nicaragua, China, the former Soviet Union. That's what those people said too.

The whole dirt on Hillary Clinton thing-you're going to hear that, too. Every campaign since the beginning of campaigns has tried to find the "dirt" on opponents. That's just a fact of what happens. It's formally called opposition research. It is legal to seek, research, ask for information about opponents. Where it becomes shady and illegal is when a candidate, party, or officeholder pay to have someone fabricate damaging opposition research and use it to get secret court orders to spy on a campaign or to even spy on an elected president's transition team-which is exactly what happened with Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and the previous president, the FISA Court and the infamous "Pee Dossier." Is that fair?

Given the mutual legal assistance treaty between Ukraine and America, a president is well within his authority to ask Ukraine to investigate Biden's corruption. That Biden is a political opponent has no bearing. IF the Bidens did something illegal, they are not above the law. The Whistleblower is also flimsy. He is a deep state CIA operative that worked with Biden and the Obama Administration. That the impeachment hearings are being done in secret is a huge red flag. If it looks, acts, and smells like insurrection, it's probably insurrection-which is illegal. Ephesians 5:6 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Tell your family and friends there are dire consequences to this deception for them and America. Be strong. Take a stand.

AMAZING GRACE

"I was blind, but now I see!" (John 9:25)

Lyrics

Amazing grace (how sweet the sound) that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

2 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed!

3 Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come: 'tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

4 The Lord has promised good to me, his word my hope secures; he will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.

5 Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail, and mortal life shall cease: I shall possess, within the veil, a life of joy and peace.

6 The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, the sun forbear to shine; but God, who called me here below, will be forever mine.

About the Hymn:

This is probably the most popular hymn in the English language. Perhaps it is because its words so well describe the author: John Newton was a slave trader before coming to Christ. The American Public Broadcasting System, with narrator Bill Moyers, made a television documentary about Amazing Grace in 1990.

Ironically, the hymn is sung in Harriet Beecher Stowe's 1852 novel Uncle Tom's Cabin by the titular Uncle Tom, a slave himself. In addition to Newton's words, Tom sang the final stanza below. Though that stanza appeared in the 1829 Baptist Songster, Uncle Tom's Cabin may be the first time the words "When we've been there ten thousand years" are used as part of Amazing Grace. Wethersfield, Connecticut, where the Baptist Songster was published, is only a couple of miles from Stowe's home town of Hartford, Connecticut. Interestingly, there is also a town named New Britain just outside Hartford.

This hymn was sung at the funeral of American president Ronald Reagan in 2004.

The Strange Places Where Snow Has and Hasn't Fallen This Season

- Early November snow in the Rockies and far Northern U.S. is typical.

- However, so far this fall, snow has also blanketed the southern Plains and set records in other areas.

- Most of the Northeast is still waiting for its first snowflakes.

- Snow has also been rather meager so far in Alaska.

92-Year-Old 'Righteous' Rescuer Meets Holocaust Survivors She Saved and Their 40 Descendants; Says Now She Can 'Die Quietly'

[UnitedWithIsrael.org] For the first time in decades, two siblings who survived the Holocaust were reunited with the Greek woman who saved their lives during the Holocaust.

The tears kept flowing on Sunday at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, as 92-year-old Melpomeni Dina (née Gianopoulou) embraced Sarah Yanai and Yossi Mor.

Yossi and Sarah told reporters from the Jerusalem Post about their emotional reunion with Melpomeni.

"She reminded me of how we used to play together," Yossi said. "Thanks to her, we have our large and beautiful family."

Sarah said that there "were no words to describe this feeling," and it was "very emotional for us to be together again."

Both siblings introduced Melpomeni to nearly 40 members of their respective families, including two grandchildren who are currently serving in the IDF.

Mentes and Mari Mordechai and their five children, Sarah, Asher, Shmuel, Rachel, and Yossi were all taken into hiding by Melpomeni and her two older sisters Efthimia and Bithleem after the Germans captured Greece in 1941.

Efthimia knew the Mordechai family well, as she had studied to be a seamstress at Mari's studio. Since she was very poor and an orphan, Mari had not charged her for the lessons.

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
