Hong Kong Emergency
This year, Hong Kong has seen pro-freedom demonstrations against a breakdown of the 1997 agreement of "one country, two systems." These have occurred every weekend for the past five months. Last week, they didn't stop at the end of the weekend.
As the situation has intensified and police brutality has increased against peaceful protesters (and the media), some have felt they have been left with no choice but to mount a reciprocal response in defense of their campuses and homeland, US Senators felt a renewed sense of urgency to pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act (H.R. 3289/S. 1838).
The legislation amends the Hong Policy Acts of 1992 to take into account developments since then such as China's social credit system while reaffirming support for human rights, democracy, and autonomy for Hong Kong. China should keep its commitments to Hong Kong.
The House passed the legislation by voice vote on October 15.
Last week, after Senator Marco Rubio met with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Thursday, the Senate initiated its hotline procedure to fast-track the legislation to passage. The process set the bill up for passage six hours later. The Senate adjourned an hour before that time was up, so passage has been pushed to the Senate's next legislative session which begins at 3 PM Monday. Therefore, estimated time of passage for legislation would be 4 PM.
This is all assuming no Senator objects to passage before then.
This legislation would make a big difference to the situation in Hong Kong. International leadership in favor of freedom and against oppression is needed at this time. There is no Second Amendment in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Police have been repeatedly and dehumanizingly referring to protesters as "cockroaches." Some police are now openly expressing their desire to repeat the Tiananmen Square massacre of June 4, 1989.
Among the latest, as of this writing, Hong Kong Police have announced their intent to begin using live ammunition. The Hong Kong police have surrounded Hong Kong Polytechnic University with hundreds inside in an all-night assault. Currently the entrance being on fire is preventing police from entering.
Father, we ask you to bring a trembling before You of all in authority in Hong Kong and China. Clearly they have no fear of You, nor your justice or law. We ask that you give restraint to the Hong Police and all those motivating their actions. We ask that they not "treasure up for themselves wrath in the Day of wrath" with their actions regarding Hong Kong. Father, please make a way to bring peace, justice, and freedom in Hong Kong and China.
"And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and the raiders also trembled; and the earth quaked, so that it was a very great trembling." (1 Samuel 14:15)

1. Fact Sheet: The Gaza - Israel Escalation - Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET)
On November 12, 2019 at 4:00am (Israel Time) the Israeli Air Force conducted a surgical airstrike against Baha Abu Al-Ata. The Israeli Security Cabinet authorized over a week ago, in accordance to the recommendation of the Israeli military, secret service, and intelligence community, to eliminate Al-Ata and deemed him a "ticking bomb" and an "imminent threat" to Israel. Based on Israeli intelligence, Al-Ata was in the midst of preparing to commit immediate terror attacks towards Israeli civilians and IDF troops in the coming days. Al-Ata was a senior commander of the Islamic Jihad, a terrorist organization funded by Iran, in Gaza. He was responsible for hundreds of terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians.

2. Assailing Gantz coalition efforts, PM says Arab MKs 'want to destroy' Israel -Times Of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday accused the lawmakers of the Joint List of seeking to "destroy the country" as he stepped up his verbal assault on the majority-Arab party, which the Blue and White party would have to rely on if it were to form a minority government in the three days it has left to cobble together a coalition.
"At the same time that our soldiers were putting their lives in danger, [the Blue and White leadership] held negotiations with the very members of Knesset who support the terror organizations and who want to destroy the country," Netanyahu told hundreds of supporters at a Likud rally, without providing proof for his accusation.
While some Joint List MKs spoke out against Israel's targeted killing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group's senior commander Baha Abu al-Ata as well as the IDF's airstrikes in Gaza, none of them expressed support for Islamic Jihad or its targeting of Israeli civilians.

3. Netanyahu, Gantz spin minority coalition in push for unity compromise - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz's associates both pushed the possibility of a minority government backed by the Joint List on Saturday in an effort to pressure the other to make concessions that could facilitate a unity coalition.
Gantz met with with President Reuven Rivlin for an hour and a half Saturday night. They discussed his coalition-building efforts ahead of his Wednesday night deadline to form a government before his mandate ends and compromises that could still enable a deal with Likud.
Netanyahu told Likud ministers and MKs in an "emergency conversation" on Saturday that he knew for a fact that Blue and White intends to form a minority government backed by the Joint List. He will convene the Likud faction and the right-wing political bloc on Sunday.

4. Palestinian Rockets, Israeli Airstrikes Jolt Tenuous Gaza Truce - Algemeiner
Palestinian terrorists fired two rockets deep into southern Israel from Gaza on Saturday, and the Israeli military responded with a number of air strikes on terrorist targets, shaking an already tenuous truce. Sirens sounded in the middle of the night in Beersheba, the largest city in southern Israel, some 35 km (18 miles) from the Gaza border, warning of incoming fire. The military said its missile defenses intercepted the two rockets.
A few hours later, Israeli aircraft struck a number of terrorist outposts belonging to Hamas, the Islamist group that rules Gaza. No injuries were reported. The overnight rocket attack came nearly two days after a ceasefire ended a flare-up in cross-border violence between Israel and a smaller Palestinian terrorist group, Islamic Jihad.

5. UN extends UNRWA's mandate - Israel National News
The UN General Assembly on Friday approved the extension of the mandate of UNRWA, the UN agency for "Palestinian refugees", until 2023.
170 countries voted in favor of the extension, with only the US and Israel voting against. Seven countries abstained: Canada, Cameroon, Guatemala, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Vanuatu.
Created in 1949, UNRWA supplies aid to more than three million of the five million registered "Palestinian refugees" in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and territories assigned to the Palestinian Authority.
However, it is also notorious for its anti-Israel activities. During the 2014 counterterrorism Operation Protective Edge, Hamas rockets were discovered inside a school building run by UNRWA.

6. Iran Not Calling for 'Disappearance' of Jews, Just for Destruction of Jewish State, Khamenei Cynically Claims - United With Israel
We cannot help but roll our eyes when Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claims that the "disappearance" of Israel does not mean the destruction of the Jewish people.
"Calling for the elimination of the State of Israel does not mean the elimination of the Jewish people . . . it means that the people of Palestine - be they Muslim, Christian or Jewish - should choose their own government," Khamenei said in a speech on Friday at the International Conference on Islamic Unity in Tehran, Reuters reported.
Indeed, his claim that he is not prejudiced against Jews is similar to that of the promoters of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which has been shown to be anti-Semitic.

10. Mike Pompeo: Iran behind Islamic Jihad rocket attacks against Israel - Jerusalem Post
Iran is behind the latest round of Israeli-Gaza violence, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted on Saturday, as the fragile ceasefire understanding held for its third day in spite of sporadic rocket fire.
"Iran uses its terrorist proxy Palestinian Islamic Jihad to strike our great ally Israel. Iran does not want peace in the region. It does not want the Palestinian people to prosper. It wants more conflict. Until we address Iran's threats, the cycle of violence will continue," Pompeo tweeted.
It's actions proves that international pressure is needed to curb Tehran's aggression, he said.
"The way forward is clear: continued pressure until Iran negotiates a comprehensive agreement that includes halting its support to terror groups like PIJ. Nations around the world can no longer claim to want peace in the region yet allow Iran's threats to go unchallenged," Pompeo wrote. (Read more)

1. Attorney General Barr accuses the left of systemic 'sabotage' of Trump administration - Fox News
Attorney General Bill Barr accused congressional Democrats Friday of "using every tool" to "sabotage" the Trump administration by setting a "dangerous" precedent in implying that the government is illegitimate.
During a speech at the Federalist Society's dinner in Washington, Barr took aim at the "resistance," accusing liberal lawmakers of attacking the very foundations of the Constitution.
"I deeply admire the American presidency as a political and constitutional institution," he began. "Unfortunately over the past several decades, we have seen a steady encroachment on executive authority by the other branches of the government." Barr said the "avalanche of subpoenas" and constant attempt to derail appointments by the Trump administration have only served to "incapacitate" the executive branch. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father in heaven, reach out Your hands to President Trump and surround him with holy angels who will fight against all his enemies and bring them down. Let the hoards of evil working against him be met with the strong intervention from heaven and defeat them in every way. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "He that commits sin is of the devil: for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil." (I John 3:8)
2. Impeachment Vote Could Be Taken by Secret Ballot - Newsmax
President Donald Trump could face a secret impeachment vote in the Senate if only three Republicans conditioned the ballot on their accepting the rules governing a trial in the chamber, a longtime GOP adviser argued Tuesday.
"If they didn't have to face backlash from constituents or the media or the president himself, who knows how many Republican senators would vote to remove?" Juleanna Glover posed in an opinion piece for Politico. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has said that he would immediately hold a trial if articles of impeachment were approved by the House. However, the U.S. Constitution "does not set many parameters for the trial" beyond requiring the chief justice of the Supreme Court to preside and requiring a two-thirds vote of the chamber.
"That means the Senate has sole authority to draft its own rules for the impeachment trial, without judicial or executive branch oversight," Glover said. And, given the current partisanship on Capitol Hill, "McConnell and his fellow Republicans are much more likely to dictate the rules with little input from Democrats." Any guidelines must be approved by 51 of the chamber's 53 Republicans. (Read more)
- Lord God in heaven, we thank You that You will contend with those who contend with President Trump. This battle truly belongs to You!
- "Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands."
(I Samuel 17:47)
3. Pelosi: President Trump, show your innocence - WND
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has proposed a way for President Trump to respond to her party's impeachment investigation: he should prove his innocence.
Pelosi's comments came Thursday during her weekly news conference: It was Fox News reporter Chad Pergram who asked Pelosi, "Why would the public not think that the House is dead set on a course to impeach the president?"
Pelosi responded, "It's called an impeachment inquiry and if the president has something that is exculpatory - Mr. President that means if you have anything that shows your innocence - then he should make that known."
The The Gateway Pundit pointed out the "burden is actually on the prosecution to prove that President Trump committed a crime. As far as the exculpatory evidence Pelosi is demanding, READ THE TRANSCRIPT of Trump's July 25 phone call to Zelensky."
She isn't the first Democrat to upend the tradition of the presumption of innocence and the burden of the accuser to present evidence of guilt. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we call for the great and powerful voice of the Lord to roar from heaven condemning this reversal of "innocent until proven guilty" established by the U.S. Constitution. God, clamp down on all the evil coming forth by the Democrats, Pelosi and all the den of iniquity in our government by sending angels from heaven into their camp and destroying this darkness by Your power. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
-"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men and women, who hold the truth in unrighteousness."
(Romans 1:18)
4. New Trump-Zelensky Transcript Undercuts Dems' Main Impeachment Claim on White House Visit - Western Journal
President Donald Trump has outmaneuvered impeachment-obsessed Democrats yet again. Friday morning the White House released a formerly eyes only memo record - for all intents and purposes a transcript - of the first telephone call between Trump and then newly-elected Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, dated April 21, 2019.
The transcript kneecaps one of the Democrats' main impeachment claims, namely that part of the alleged Trump quid pro quo (or bribery as Democrats now call it after having focus-grouped the term) was the arrangement of a Zelensky visit to the White House.
The other piece of the alleged quid pro quo was the delivery of security aid to Ukraine (which the U.S. provided before Ukraine diplomats ever knew it was in question) in exchange for investigations of alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election and alleged improprieties committed by Joe Biden's son and potentially Biden himself. (Read more)
- Our Father in heaven, we pray that You will fight for President Trump and show him the path to walk a mile ahead of all his oppressors. As his enemies have done evil to him, we pray God will reverse the order and call forth the deeds of the ungodly to fall upon them as they reap what they have done to President Trump. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
"The Lord thundered from heaven, and the most High God uttered His voice. And He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them."
(II Samuel 22:14-15)
5. Foreign Service Officer Caught Pushing False Trump Claim - TrumpTrainNews
The Navy has disputed a claim by a foreign service officer claiming that President Trump canceled an operation near Ukraine. On Monday, as part of Congress' impeachment inquiry into whether President Trump withheld military support for Ukraine, legislators released testimony from Christopher Anderson, who served as a top aide for Kurt Volker, the former U.S. special representative for Ukraine negotiations. Anderson stated that President Trump had asked the U.S. Navy to cancel a routine "freedom-of-navigation" operation in the Black Sea, near Ukraine, earlier this year.
But on Wednesday, the U.S. Navy dismissed Anderson's version of events. "U.S. 6th Fleet conducted our naval operations in the Black Sea region as scheduled in January and February 2019. The U.S. Navy will continue to operate in the Black Sea consistent with international law, to include the Montreaux Convention," Cmdr. Kyle Raines, a spokesman for Naval Forces Europe-Africa asserted, as Stars and Stripes reported. (Read more)
- Lord God, the more the enemy raises allegations against President Trump, the more we see You taking them down. Thank You, O Lord, that You are in control and that, in Your time, the righteous will be vindicated.
- "Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers. . . The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in him!" (Psalm 64: 2,10)
6. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik Becomes the Republican Star of Impeachment Hearings; Earns Shout Out from President Trump - Patriot Hill
While the impeachment hearings have been a frustrating witch hunt for most Republicans, one bright spot has come from it. That is the emergence of congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY). Stefanik has been leading the Republican charge questioning Rep. Adam "Shifty" Schiff (D-CA) about everything from his media quotes on the whistleblower to the way he is running the proceedings. Her tenacity earned a twitter shout out from President Trump himself.
During the questioning of former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, Stefanik destroyed her on many points, especially related to Hunter Biden and Burisma. She got Yovanovitch to admit that the Obama Administration was so worried about possible corruption in that situation they specifically prepped her about it leading up to her confirmation hearings. . .
- Father God, we thank You that at least one voice was heard in that hearing last week -- that of Elise Stefanik. We ask for Your hand of protection to rest upon her, and upon all who are speaking TRUTH in these hearings, now and always. Amen.
- "These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another, render true and sound decisions in your gates, do not plot evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely, for I hate all these things," declares the LORD . . . " (Zechariah 8:16,17)
7. Obama warns Democrats against going too far left: 'We have to be rooted in reality' - CNBC
Former President Barack Obama on Friday warned Democratic primary candidates to avoid leaning too far left in their campaigns, and raised concerns that certain liberal policy proposals on health care and immigration might have gone further than public opinion.
In an unusual address to a room of wealthy Democratic donors, Obama urged Democratic candidates to be pragmatic in their messages to voters. While he didn't mention any specific presidential primary candidate or proposal, Obama warned that the average American voter does not align with views from "certain left-leaning Twitter feeds or the activist wing of our party."
Obama said that his concerns aren't a criticism of party activists, whose job he said is to "poke and prod and text and inspire and motivate." But he emphasized that whoever the candidate is, their ultimate job is to get elected.
"Even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision we also have to be rooted in reality," Obama said. "The average American doesn't think we have to completely tear down the system and remake it." (Read more)
- Lord God, we stand amazed at Your ways! We thank You that Barack Obama is speaking the TRUTH and that certain far-left radicals are about to destroy his party. May they take heed; back off; and reassess their agendas we pray, in Your name, amen.

8. Roger Stone Found Guilty of Obstruction, False Statements, and Witness Tampering - CNSNews.com
Political consultant Roger Stone was found guilty today by a jury that convicted him of obstructing a congressional investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to a statement put out by the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Here is the text of the statement that the U.S. attorney's office released.
Update: Stone Supporters Petition for His Pardon - Newsmax
Calls for a presidential pardon for Roger Stone have already started on the government's official petition website.
"We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the President of the United States grant a full and unconditional pardon to Roger Jason Stone Jr.," reads the petition started by "J.V." on Friday, the day Stone was found guilty on seven counts, including lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice.
As of early Saturday afternoon, there were 6,449 signatures, and 100,000 signatures in 30 days will force the White House to respond. (To read this petition, go here.)
- Father God, we pray for an appeal regarding Mr. Stone and ask that Your guidance be uppermost in importance above all the trail of misinformation that has brought about this guilty charge. We ask, too, that if it be Your will, President Trump will grant a pardon to Roget Stone, as shown in this petition. We put our trust in You, Lord, to consummate Your perfect will for Mr. Stone. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Trust in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength."
(Isaiah 26:4)
9. Supreme Court hears DACA case - IFA
During oral arguments at the United States Supreme Court Tuesday on the future of the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program, Justice Sonia Sotomayor injected politics into the discussion, saying President Donald Trump has said he would find a way to keep DACA recipients in the United States but has not done so.
Sotomayor also addressed what other justices cited - the "reliance interests" of DACA recipients, or how the government program has allowed illegal migrants to get Social Security numbers, drivers licenses, and work permits that they have come to rely on.
Sotomayor said: I think my colleagues have rightly pointed [out] there's a whole lot of reliance interests that weren't looked at, including the very President of - current President telling DACA-eligible people that they were safe under him and that he would find a way to keep them here. And so he hasn't and, instead, he's done this. And that, I think, has something to be considered before you rescind a policy. (Read more)
- Almighty God, You see this issue from heaven and understand all the twisted applications that are to be dealt with. There have been many illegal licenses given to illegal migrants to get Social Security numbers, drivers licenses, and work permits. This should not have occurred. Father, we pray that the government programs supporting this be rescinded and a miracle innovation set in place. In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Both riches and honor come from God, and He reigns over all; and in His hand is power and might; and in His hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all."
(I Chronicles 29:12)
10. DHS proposes new work permit rule for asylum seekers who entered the US illegally - Christian Post
The Department of Homeland Security has released a new rule proposal that would require people who entered the U.S. illegally before seeking asylum to wait at least one year before they can apply for employment authorization. The rule proposal published Thursday in the Federal Register extends the waiting period to file for the right to work legally in the U.S. from 150 days after the time of their asylum application to 365 days. Under the current rules, asylum seekers who entered the country illegally can begin working legally in the U.S. after a waiting period of 180 days. There also are other rule changes in the proposal that lawyers and immigrant rights groups have voiced concerns about. The proposal is subject to a public comment period that ends on Jan. 13, 2020.
"DHS recognizes that a number of aliens who are legitimate asylum seekers may experience potential economic hardship because of the extended waiting period," the proposal reads. "However, the asylum system in the United States is completely overwhelmed. DHS is urgently seeking solutions, including mustering an all-volunteer force to assist with processing incoming migrants at the southwest border of the United States."
The agency said that the "urgency to maintain the efficacy and the very integrity of the U.S. asylum and immigration system outweighs any hardship that may be imposed by the additional six-month waiting period." (Read more)
- Almighty God, move in a powerful way to cease the influx of illegal aliens into the U.S. where there is no work for them. Miraculously provide work in the country of their origin. We pray in Jesus' Name.
- "The Lord shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer." (Psalm 102:17)
11. Democratic plan for redrawing district lines to impact voting results - Family Research Council
From the Wall Street Journal: Democrats on Tuesday won total control of Virginia's government, adding both chambers of the General Assembly to the governor's mansion. They will redraw Virginia's legislative district lines after next year's census. The Old Dominion was already moving left, though the redistricting power likely cements Democratic dominance over Virginia for the next 10 years.
This was Mr. Holder's plan. While most prominent Democrats spent the months following Donald Trump's election plotting future runs, Mr. Holder was launching the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, committed to domination of electoral mapmaking through the courts and legislatures. The NDRC spent its first years aggressively litigating legislative maps it didn't like, to great success. Virginia's election was the first test of the electoral piece of Mr. Holder's strategy, and it will now serve as the model by which Democrats attempt to gain redistricting power in 11 other key states next year. (Read more)
- Father God, we pray that President Trump will withstand the Democrats from "fixing" the voting district lines in Virginia or any other district in America, which boldly is against the law that we honor in the United States. God, we pray that You will close down the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and all the wicked plans of Mr. Holder today. Resist all that he is attempting to set in place and pull the rug out from under it all so that it fails. In the Name of Jesus, we pray.
- "And God said, Hitherto shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves by stayed." (Job 38:11)
12. Defense Authorization Act - Family Research Council
While the president tries to deal with conflicts around the globe, contain the threats from ISIS and rogue nations like North Korea, you'll be relieved to know that the House is hard at work on its most important mission: ushering into the military people who are in conflict over their biological sex. And they're willing to tie up the most important bill of the year to do it.
Although the impeachment sham is sucking up most of the air in Pelosi's chamber, most people assumed the liberal leader would have the sense to shelve that circus long enough to wrap up the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). They assumed wrong. House liberals aren't just refusing to do the country's real business, they're making our defense budget a bargaining chip in their game of gender extremism.
According to Armed Services Chair Adam Smith (D-Wash.), Democrats are going to squeeze Republicans to open the floodgates to transgender service.
Smith, who made this priority number one on day one of his chairmanship, has had a beef with Donald Trump's policy since it was announced. "The president is the president, the Senate is the Senate and they don't agree" with the House, Smith argued. "They are wrong. This is incredibly important policy and the current policy in place is bigoted and discriminatory and unnecessary and ought to be changed." Fellow radical Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) is more than happy to help him stonewall, sponsoring the measure that would undo all the progress this Pentagon has made. (Read more)
- Almighty God in heaven, we pray You dispatch myriads of angels to fight against the House, Mr. Smith, Jackie Speier, and all other entities who are promoting transgenders into military service. We put the Blood of Jesus on the doorposts through which this could pass through. We pray in the powerful Name of Jesus.
- "Yea, before the day was I AM HE; and there is none that can deliver out of My hand: I (God) will work, and who shall stop it?" (Isaiah 43:13)
13. Erdogan vows to protect Christians in Syria, says their churches will be rebuilt - Christian Post
Turkey President Tayyip Recep Erdogan told media at the White House Wednesday that Turkey will restore damaged Syrian churches as Christian communities along the border in Northeastern Syria are feeling vulnerable due to the Turkish incursion. Erdogan met with United States President Donald Trump and a group of GOP senators on Thursday in a widely publicized meeting that was reportedly held to "clear the air" amid congressional criticism of Turkey's military operation in Northeastern Syria.
Operation Peace Spring, launched last month after Trump announced a pullback of U.S. troops from the region in question, targets Kurdish fighters once backed by the U.S. in the battle against the Islamic State. The Turkish government accused the Turkish-led Syrian Democratic Forces of being terrorists because of links to Kurdistan Workers' Party, also known as the P.K.K. Since the operation commenced, tens of thousands Syrians have been displaced from their homes and Turkish-backed Arab forces have been accused of targeting civilians.
During a press conference at the White House, Erdogan was asked specifically by a reporter if he could guarantee that Turkey will protect Christians in Northeast Syria amid this "realignment." The reporter told Erdogan that groups on the ground are reporting that attacks against Christians have increased and Christians are no longer feeling safe in the area previously protected by the S.D.F. The reporter even mentioned the fact that an Armenian priest and his father were murdered while a deacon was wounded in an attack claimed by the Islamic State in the Northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli just this week.
Erdogan thanked the reporter for the question and assured that his government is "especially sensitive" and has "plans" in place to help Christians remaining on the Syrian side of the border who have seen their churches and sanctuaries destroyed by the violence. (Read more)

14. BREAKING - Trump Asks Supreme Court to Block House Subpoena for Tax Records - Bloomberg
President Donald Trump asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block a House subpoena for his financial records, urging the court for the second time in as many days to insulate him from an investigation. A day after asking the justices to stop his tax returns from being turned over to a New York prosecutor, Trump on Friday filed an emergency request designed to ensure House Democrats don't get access to his financial records while he presses an appeal in a separate case.
Together, the two cases are pulling the Supreme Court into the divisive battle over alleged wrongdoing in Trump's personal and business dealings. The cases arrive as House Democrats are pressing an impeachment investigation of Trump.
A federal appeals court in Washington said in October that the House Oversight and Reform Committee could subpoena eight years of Trump's financial records from Mazars, his accounting firm. The subpoena doesn't explicitly ask for Trump's tax returns. On a 2-1 vote, the appeals court said the House panel had a legitimate legislative purpose for seeking the documents. The committee says it's considering revising the federal ethics-in-government laws. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we pray to our merciful God that You will block this House subpoena for President Trump's financial records forever, no more so until the Clintons, Soros, the hidden government, other House representatives be forced to submit their financial records also. Father, bind under the Blood of Jesus, the House Oversight and Reform Committee's power and the appeals court's power to align with God's perfect will. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "God divides the sea with His power, and by His understanding He smites through the proud." (Job 26:12)

Self-evident rebellion and sin
Despite the negative punches shelled out each day by his critics, did you know that President Trump is as popular at this point in his term as was his predecessor? Rasmussen Reports is the only pollster that has continued its daily tracking of presidential job approval ratings-AND-Rasmussen was one of the few polling companies that got the last election right. So they know what they are doing. As of November 13, Trump's approval rating was 46% compared with the immediate past president's rating of 48% at the same juncture in terms. This week's polling results also indicate that "Democrats really don't like America and think it's time to move on from the culture that got us here." This just confirms what we knew.
Rasmussen reports that "just 38% of Likely Democratic Voters believe American society is generally fair and decent. Fifty-one percent (51%) say it's unfair and discriminatory. By comparison, 74% of Republicans and unaffiliated voters by a 49% to 36% margin view American society as fair and decent." Speaking of fairness, Rasmussen finds that most voters believe the media doesn't play fair when reporting about the Democrat's impeachment inquiry. The pollster reports "53% of likely US voters think most reporters are trying to help impeach President Trump when they write or talk about the impeachment effort." Rasmussen says that just 32% believe most reporters are unbiased and only 8% believe reporters are trying to block impeachment.
Rasmussen says 86% of all voters say they have closely followed news reports on the Democrat's impeachment, with 58% saying they have been following it very closely. Among those, 58% think reporters are trying to help impeach Trump and 34% say reporters are unbiased. Interestingly, only 36% of Democrats believe reporters are trying to help impeach Trump compared with 76% of Republicans and 48% of unaffiliated voters. Rasmussen concludes that "distrust of political news reporting remains at a record high, with just over half of voters now convinced that most in the media are out to get Trump. By contrast, 48% thought most reporters were trying to help Obama pass his agenda." There are several conclusions that can be made about the American mentality. Democratic voters don't revere America and believe it to be unfair.
This is the result of class warfare that has been waged for decades by the Marxist influencers within the Democratic Party. It has taken root. It is a victim mentality. Additionally, Americans are seeing that the media and the Democrats are working together to impeach the president. So what does this mean? A=B=C. Most Democrats, especially the leadership, and the media don't like America and subsequently they are working to overthrow it. Trump is just the spearhead that they believe will gin up the most support to "remake America." 1 Samuel 15:23 says, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." Ultimately, it is the rejection of the Lord. The same people who are turning away from God are rebelling against America. This is self-evident.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.
Refrain
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

About the Author:
Words: Thomas O. Chisholm, 1923.
Melody: William M. Runyan, 1923
About the Hymn:
According to Chisholm, there were no special circumstances which caused its writing-just his experience and Bible truth. The hymn first appeared in Songs of Salvation and Service, 1923, compiled by William Runyan. It is the unofficial "school hymn" of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois, with which Runyan was associated for a number of years.
Runyan wrote the music specifically for these words: "This particular poem held such an appeal that I prayed most earnestly that my tune might carry its message in a worthy way, and the subsequent history of its use indicates that God answered prayer."

Cold shatters century-old records, snow creates travel chaos as fires, floods turn catastrophic across the globe
It's not quite winter, but it certainly felt that way amid ridiculously frigid conditions that gripped many spots across the country, breaking records along the way. Those hoping to escape the cold-if they're not frozen in their tracks first-may want to check out one location where summer never seems to end. Here's a look back at the week in weather news.
We're just five weeks out from the end of fall, but it's already feeling as brutally cold as the dead of winter in several locations across the United States. An Arctic blast shattered several record-low temperatures as it swept through the Midwestern and eastern portions of the country, and the South was not spared.
Residents in many cities were freezing their socks off amid lows that haven't been seen-and felt-since 1911, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). For a little historical context, the last time it was this cold in some places, the Titanic had not yet set off on its maiden voyage, and women still didn't have voting rights.
The wintry storm system affecting the country this week did not come without its share of travel nightmares, triggering several deadly accidents and traffic-snarling pileups on Tuesday. At least six people died, according to the Associated Press (AP), and many of those crashes happened in Ohio.
One of those fatal crashes involved the driver of a semitrailer in Clark County, Ohio, who crashed into an emergency vehicle on Interstate 70. Another victim - a 21-year-old Medina, Ohio, resident - lost her life in a 16-vehicle crash on the state's Turnpike in Richfield. An astounding 85 vehicles were entangled in a pileup on Tuesday in Summit County, Ohio, amid whiteout conditions, according to News 5 Cleveland.
Over in New York, a bus driver in Preble lost control on a snowy road, crashing the bus onto its side in the median early Tuesday. Seven passengers were on board, but they were not seriously hurt, the AP reported.
A terrifying moment unfolded Monday morning when a plane slid off a snowy runway at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The Chicago Fire Department responded to the scene, which involved 41 people on the plane, and confirmed that there were no injuries.
Nearly 600 flights were canceled on Monday alone at O'Hare. Snow reportedly canceled at least 1,500 flights across the country, according to ABC News. (Read more)

Ban on Christian-school prayers reversed by 11th Circuit
The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday reversed a state ban on prayers at school championship athletic events.
The appeals court reversed a key part of a lower court's decision endorsing a Florida High School Athletic Association decision.
The organization had prohibited two Christian schools from having a prayer over a loudspeaker at the Citrus Bowl prior to a state championship game.
But the appeals court said the complaint has merit and should proceed to trial.
"We are grateful to have won this appeal and look forward to presenting our case on behalf of Cambridge Christian School to the district court," said Jeremy Dys, special counsel for litigation and communications at First Liberty Institute. "The First Amendment protects the rights of students and teachers at a private Christian school to pray before a football game, especially when both teams are Christian and have a tradition of prayer before games." About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
