1. Gantz and Netanyahu meet, no progress made -Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met on Tuesday evening at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem with Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz, who holds the mandate to form the government.

The meeting, which is considered crucial, began only 25 and a half hours before the expiry of the mandate given by the President to Gantz to form the government.

It concluded around 11:30 p.m. Israel time after approximately one hour, without a breakthrough.

Gantz said at the conclusion of the meeting with Netanyahu: "At the start of the meeting today, I said once again, as I have said since entering the political field, that Israel needs a broad and liberal unity government composed primarily of the two major political parties, led by Blue and White which won the elections."

2. Netanyahu approves Jordan Valley annexation bill after U.S. changes policy -Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave his approval on Tuesday to advance a bill that would have Israel apply sovereignty to the Jordan Valley, after the US State Department reversed its stance of viewing Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria as illegal.

Netanyahu called US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's decision "historic" during a visit the day after the announcement to the Gush Etzion region. The UN and others condemned Pompeo's statement.

Likud MK Sharren Haskel proposed the annexation bill weeks ago, but decided to fast-track it in light of the change in US policy.

"The bill has the prime minister's full backing," Haskel said.

3. Israel attacks dozens of Iranian Quds, Syrian regime targets - Jerusalem Post

A spokesperson for the IDF confirmed early on Wednesday morning that IAF fighter jets performed targeted air strikes against dozens of military targets belonging to the Iranian Quds Force (IRGC) and the Syrian army on Tuesday night in Syria. The targets included air-to-ground missiles, headquarters, warehouses and military bases.

"During the attack, Syrian air missiles were fired, despite a clear warning that was avoided. As a result, several Syrian aerial defense batteries were destroyed," the IDF said.

The attack was carried out in response to rockets which the IDF said were launched by an Iranian force from Syrian territory into Israeli territory in the early hours of Tuesday morning, that despite being intercepted, were intended to hit Israeli territory.

4. Iron Dome intercepts four rockets fired into Golan from Syria -Jerusalem Post

Four rockets fired from near Damascus, likely by Iranian elements, were intercepted by Iron Dome missile defense batteries as they flew over the Golan Heights in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday.

The rockets triggered a Code Red alarm, and Golan residents reported hearing explosions as the rockets were shot down.

Syrian media reported that explosions were heard at Damascus Airport.

Tensions have been running high along the Syrian border, though no attacks have been reported from Israel in the last month and a half. Defense Minister Naftali Bennett convened a high-level military meeting with IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi and other senior officers.

5. WATCH: Rabbi Pinchas Winston Urges Diaspora Jews to Make Aliyah - 'We're Clearly Reaching the End of History'- Jewish Press

International lecturer and author Rabbi Pinchas Winston of Thirtysix.org speaks about the importance of the Land of Israel and what it means to Jews in the Diaspora in a brief video he has recorded as part of a project to encourage aliyah from the observant Jewish sector called, "Bring Them Home - Aliyah Now!"

The rabbi is one of a group of prominent English-speaking rabbonim and rebbetzins who themselves have fulfilled the mitzvah of coming to live in the Land of Israel, and have each taken the time to share their thoughts about that experience and its importance in Torah.

"We're clearly reaching the end of history. For all we know, Moshiach is here right now NOW, about to reveal himself any moment in time," Rabbi Winston points out in his video.

"And that door closes, between making Aliyah before Moshiach comes, and making Aliyah after Moshiach comes," the point being, he says, in one's spiritual status depending upon when one arrives in the Holy Land, relative to the arrival of the Messiah.

The Daily Brief

1. Key impeachment witness dodges GOP questions to protect whistleblower - Washington Times

Alexander Vindman, a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who serves as the director for European Affairs on the National Security Council, refused to tell lawmakers during Tuesday's impeachment hearing who he spoke to within the intelligence community about President Trump's controversial Ukraine phone call, fearing he would out the whistleblower.

Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the Intelligence Committee, asked the witness during Tuesday's hearing who he spoke to about the phone call, and Lt. Col. Vindman responded that he had spoken to Department of State Assistant Secretary George Kent and another individual from the intelligence community, but stopped short of naming that person. Mr. Nunes reminded the witness he testified in a previous deposition that he did not know the whistleblower.

"How is it possible for you to name these people and then out the whistleblower?" Mr. Nunez quizzed. (Read more)

- Father, this display of deception from leaders in the highest levels of our government must not be permitted to stand. We call for Your righteousness to cause this mockery to be stopped. May true justice be released from heaven and roll down upon our nation, starting with our governmental leaders.

- "I listened to their conversations and don't hear a word of truth. Is anyone sorry for doing wrong? Does anyone say, 'What a terrible thing I have done'? No! All are running down the path of sin as swiftly as a horse galloping into battle!"
(Jeremiah 8:6 - NLT)

2. Donald Trump Doctor Shuts Down Health Scare Conspiracy Theories - Breitbart

President Donald Trump's military physician issued a statement Monday discounting media conspiracy theories about the president's health. "Despite some of the speculation, the President has not had any chest pain, nor was he evaluated or treated for any urgent or acute issues," Physician to the President Navy Cdr. Sean Conley wrote in a letter.

The statement was released by the White House on Monday evening and also posted on social media by White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham. Trump made an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed Hospital on Saturday, prompting rampant speculation from the media about the reason.

"The President remains healthy and energetic without complaints, as demonstrated by his repeated vigorous rally performances in front of thousands of Americans several times a week," Grisham said on Saturday. CNN and other media outlets spent Monday questioning the president's health, without any concrete evidence, to suggest there was a health issue. (Read more)

- Father God, You are the Great Physician, and only You know the circumstances that surrounded our President's rather sudden visit to the hospital on Saturday. In this week that marks the anniversary of the Kennedy assassination, we ask that You keep President Trump safe from all harm. in Your Name, amen.

- "For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways."
(Psalm 91:11)

3. Chief justice orders delay in House fight for Trump records - AP

Chief Justice John Roberts is ordering an indefinite delay in the House of Representatives' demand for President Donald Trump's financial records to give the Supreme Court time to figure out how to handle the high-stakes dispute. Roberts' order Monday contains no hint about what the court ultimately will do.

The court's hold could last a matter of days or weeks, if the court is willing to let an appeals court ruling in favor of the House remain in place without granting full review of the case. But the delay could extend for months if the justices decide they need to hear arguments and issue a written opinion.

The high court has a separate pending request from Trump to block a subpoena from a New York prosecutor for Trump's tax returns. The justices next meet in private on Friday and could discuss what to do with the House subpoena. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that Your will be done in the case of the President's Tax returns. Since it is not a requirement under the Constitution, we pray that You will protect the President from undue pressure, and do not allow the enemy to triumph over him.

- "But You, O Lord, be merciful to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them."
(Psalm 41:10)

4. White House indicates support for stopgap bill to avoid government shutdown: McConnell - Reuters

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Monday the Trump administration had voiced support for legislation providing temporary funds for an array of federal agencies through Dec. 20 to avert shutdowns at the end of this week.

McConnell, a Republican, predicted such a bill would pass the Senate "and the White House has indicated President Trump would sign it" into law.

The Democratic-led House of Representatives is expected to pass the legislation later this week and send it to the Senate for final approval and Trump's signature ahead of a Thursday deadline. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that there will be enough unity in Congress to fund the government for at least one month more. We pray that You would pave the way ahead of these funding bills so that there would not be a contentious time of Congress trying to fund the government month by month. We pray that Your priorities for our country will be included in this measure.

- "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)

5. White House on Track to Help 50 Million Women in Developing World - Epoch Times

A White House initiative led by President Donald Trump's daughter and senior adviser Ivanka Trump on Nov. 18 announced its second round of grants worth more than $11 million to help increase women's access to economic opportunities in the developing countries.

As part of the Women's Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) initiative, Ivanka Trump and Mark Green, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) administrator, announced that the money would go to eight organizations in more than 17 countries, including Rwanda, Senegal, and Bangladesh.

The W-GDP earlier set an ambitious goal of reaching 50 million women in the developing world by 2025 through "U.S. government activities, private-public partnerships, and a new, innovative fund housed and managed by USAID." The initiative has three key objectives: to help women prosper in the workforce, to support them as entrepreneurs, and to advance economic equality under the law. (Read more)

- We thank You, Lord, for this wonderful news! May You select the recipients of this financial aid. Cause the women to move into your destiny for them as You reveal creative ways to build businesses and find fitting employment; give them favor, Lord. May these gifts be used to prosper families, villages, and, ultimately, nations. Father, bless all who work to bring abundant life to women in developing countries.

- "The [woman] who had received the 5 talents went at once and put her money to work and gained 5 more." (Matt. 25:16)

6. Hill Leaders Demand Answers From ABC News on Quashed Epstein Story - Free Beacon

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) is demanding answers from ABC News regarding allegations that the network killed a story investigating the full extent of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.

Recent revelations about an unaired interview ABC anchor Amy Robach conducted with Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre prompted an inquiry from top GOP leaders in Congress. McCarthy and Reps. Mike McCaul (R., Texas) and Doug Collins (R., Ga.), the top Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs and Judiciary committees, demanded answers from the network as to why the story never aired in a letter sent Sunday to ABC News president James Goldston.

"What appears to have been presented to Ms. Robach is first-hand evidence of human trafficking," McCarthy wrote. "I am deeply concerned that this victim, in search of justice, went to ABC News, provided information and an interview, and then ABC News chose to bury the truth. This was a decision that Ms. Robach alluded was due to protecting powerful people or financial interests." (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, for the many revelations this year of hidden wickedness being brought out into the light. We pray that those involved will be brought to accountability and that the full story will turn our nation to righteousness.

- "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." (Ephesians 5:11)

7. FBI Investigating Possibility Of 'Criminal Enterprise' In Jeffrey Epstein Death, Bureau Of Prisons Director Admits - Daily Wire

Bureau of Prisons Director Kathleen Hawk Sawyer revealed during testimony to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday that the FBI is investigating whether a "criminal enterprise" played a role in the death of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, asked Sawyer: "With a case this high profile, there has got to be either a major malfunction of the system or criminal enterprise at foot to allow this to happen. So are you looking at both, is the FBI looking at both?" Sawyer responded: "The FBI is involved and they are looking at criminal enterprise, yes."

The two prison guards who were tasked with monitoring Epstein during the time of his death reportedly did not check on him for three hours as they took a nap and then allegedly falsified records, which resulted in them being charged on Tuesday "with making false records and conspiring to make false records and to defraud the United States by impairing the lawful functions of the Metropolitan Correctional Center," Fox News reported. (Read more)

- This man has been the reprehensible architect of innumerable cruel and evil deeds against young women / girls for many years, both charged and alleged. We thank you for being a just God and even in this situation our nation expects to see justice regarding his death.

8. Taliban Releases U.S. And Australian Hostages Held Since 2016 - SaraACarter

The Taliban freed two hostages Tuesday who had been held for nearly three years, American, Kevin King, and Australian, Timothy Weeks. The two were captured by members of the Taliban-linked Haggani network in August 2016 when they were driving from Kabul's American University of Afghanistan, where both had been teaching.

"We are so happy to hear that my brother has been freed and is on his way home to us," said King's sister, Stephanie Miller. "This has been a long and painful ordeal for our entire family, and his safe return has been our highest priority. We appreciate the support we have received and ask for privacy as we await Kevin's safe return."

"Pakistan welcomes the release of Kevin King and Timothy Weeks in Afghanistan and appreciates the efforts of those who make it possible. Pakistan fully supported the global efforts to bring peace back and end the suffering suffered to the Afghan people and played their part in making this possible as part of its policy of supporting initiatives for a negotiated political settlement of the Afghan conflict," Khan said on Twitter Tuesday. (Read more)

- Abba, we offer great thanksgiving to you for the release of Kevin King and Timothy Weeks. We ask You to restore their health and bring Shalom to their hearts and minds. Give their families wisdom as they reunite with their loved ones. Cause all five prisoners to seek and find the Living God!

- "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon us, because he has anointed us to preach good news to the poor. He has sent us to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners," (Isa. 61:1)

9. IAEA: Iran Exceeds Heavy Water Limit in Latest Nuclear Deal Breach - Free Beacon

Iran has breached another limit in its nuclear deal with major powers by accumulating slightly more than 130 tonnes of heavy water, a substance used in a type of reactor it is developing, a U.N. nuclear watchdog report showed on Monday.

The restriction is the latest Iran has exceeded in protest at the United States for withdrawing from the deal last year and imposing punishing economic sanctions on Tehran. Washington says its "maximum pressure" will force Iran to negotiate a broader deal that will also include its role in Middle Eastern conflicts. Tehran says it will not negotiate until sanctions are lifted.

Heavy water is not as sensitive as uranium, which Iran is enriching in a quantity and to a level of purity beyond limits set by the pact. [Iran] is also using models of centrifuges for enrichment that were not approved for that purpose in the nuclear pact. (Read more)

- We pray that this regime is continually exposed and unsuccessful in their bid to make nuclear bombs and that You, Holy One, would forbid them any success in their wicked schemes against Israel. Thank you for the Inspectors who have shown where the Iranians have exceeded their limits and have exposed these misdeeds to the light. May it be Your light alone, God, that is released all over Israel, Iran and the Middle East.

- "And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil." (John 3:19)

10. Senate panel approves Trump energy nominees Dan Brouillette and James Danly - Washington Examiner

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved two of President Trump's important energy nominees with bipartisan votes Tuesday.

The committee voted 16-4 for Dan Brouillette to replace Rick Perry as secretary of the Energy Department, with five Democrats crossing over to join Republicans in approving him. It approved James Danly as a Republican commissioner on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by a narrower 12-8 vote, with Joe Manchin, the ranking member, the only Democrat voting in support.

In other business Tuesday, the energy committee also approved Katharine MacGregor to be deputy secretary of the Interior Department, the second-in-command position to Secretary David Bernhardt.(Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You for the swift passage of these nominees in the Senate panel, and we ask for similar action next when the full Senate meets to approve these nominees. In Your Name, amen.

- "The Lord hears the prayers of the righteous . . ." (Proverbs 15:29)

Snuffing out the darkness with truth and light

The headlines around these days are alarming. The narrative seems to be full of fear mongering such as predictions of economic disruption, government disruption, political disruption, social disruption. Disruption on all levels, according to the news media. There is no rest from disruption. It is so, because the media and the disrupters make it so. So there they are making their noise, accusing others of what they are doing, judging people from the content of their own hearts, spewing forth hate, derision, suspicion and darkness. What is it to us? Why do we have to allow them to occupy the battlefield of our minds? Does their darkness overcome the light of Christ and the Holy Spirit in each of us? I stand to say "NO."

In John 8:12, Christ said, "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." In Matthew 5:14-16, Christ affirms this transfer of light, saying, "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Philippians 2:14-15 says, "Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world."

Proverbs 4:14-18 says, "Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day." Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." There is a pattern here that there is a path we all travel, but we do not have to travel in darkness because Christ is the light for the just. He transfers it to his disciples that they might also be the light of the world.

As you engage with friends and family during this upcoming holiday season, you do not have to take part in the darkness around us. You can be that light to others, that joy in the midst of sorrow. Everyone seems to be at everyone else. Peace is but a fleeting moment like an insincere greeting. Remember, though, that as the light of the world, you are also an ambassador of Christ, an emissary of the kingdom of God. We don't have to enter into the darkness because it already has been defeated by the King of Kings. Renew your mind. Have a perspective of light. As is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind." So, in truth, let your light shine.

Hong Kong Bill: Update

Senate Unanimously Passes Hong Kong Bills

The U.S. Senate unanimously passed two pieces of legislation on Nov. 19 that support pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, introduced by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in June, would require that the U.S. Secretary of State assess annually whether Hong Kong is sufficiently autonomous from mainland China to warrant the special trade privileges currently afforded to it. "The people of Hong Kong see what's coming; they see the steady effort to erode the autonomy and their freedoms," said Rubio on the Senate floor on the evening of Nov. 19. "And the response by the Hong Kong authorities, under tremendous pressure from Beijing, is violence and oppression."

The Senate also passed unanimously S.2710, which prohibits the United States from exporting crowd control equipment to the Hong Kong police force. Amnesty International had previously identified several U.S. manufacturers of such equipment used by Hong Kong police, including pepper spray by Sabre, batons by Armament Systems and Procedures, rubber bullets by ALS, and pump-action shotguns by Remington Arms Company. Tuesday Wrap-Up: Impeachment Hearings

Morrison, Volker undercut claims of 'quid pro quo,' 'bribery' and 'cover-up' in pivotal day of testimony

Republicans sounded a celebratory note as House Democrats' impeachment inquiry wrapped up another day of public hearings Tuesday evening, saying the day's witnesses had served only to highlight fundamental problems in the case against President Trump.

"Did anyone ever ask you to bribe or extort anyone at any time during your time in the White House?" House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., asked at one point in Tuesday's afternoon hearing.

Former National Security Council (NSC) aide Tim Morrison: "No."

Former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker: "No."

Morrison, in another key moment, testified Tuesday afternoon that he understood the transcript of Trump's call with Ukraine's leader wound up on a highly secured and classified computer system due to an "administrative error" -- not, as Democrats have alleged, because the president wanted to hide his conversation. (Fox News) (Read more)
- Father God, we thank You that, day after day, the truth of the Ukrainian "problem" is coming to light; and the forces of darkness are retreating. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

- "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32)

The China Syndrome

The China Syndrome:

One is the Loneliest Number

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. He will not be put to shame when he confronts the enemies at the gate. ~ (Psalm 127:5)

Dear Christian Warriors:

This was submitted by one of our members:
After watching the documentary, "One Child Nation" recently released in August about the devastating consequences of China's forced sterilization and abortion policies, it was obvious that without the framework of Christ and His Rock Solid Word, eventually nothing really makes any logical sense. Man's "logic" will invariably shift towards sin and wrong conclusions unless the unshakable foundation of Almighty God is factored into the equation.

The entire documentary was brutally compelling yet, at the end (SPOILER ALERT!), the filmmaker, Nanfu Wang, comes to the unfortunate conclusion that the solution is all about individual "choice." She talks about women having control over their own bodies and misses the forest for the trees. Now the Chinese government is pushing "two baby" families as the answer. This is still anti-God teaching against His command to "be fruitful and multiply."

"The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." (Psalm 24:1)

Lyrics

I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard My people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin, My hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send?

Refrain:

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my peoples pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak My word to them,

Whom shall I send?

Wounded in Afghanistan, Marine Sergeant Finds Healing through Wife's Spirit-Filled Words

I wake up with a miracle and go to sleep with a miracle every day. Your daughters are not orphans, and I'm not a widow. And if Jesus is the center of our lives, we're gonna make it through." -Rosemarie to Carlos Evans

[CharismaNews.com] "I heard an explosion, and the explosion that I heard was that I stepped on an IED, an improvised explosive device. When I stepped on it ... I didn't know what happened at all. I knew that there was an explosion. And when I saw my Marines, and my corpsmen, my medic all surrounding me, and they're trying to keep me alert. That's when I noticed, 'Oh, something happened to me.'"

On that Afghanistan battlefield, former Marine Sergeant Carlos Evans says on the "Hope for Your Marriage" series on Charisma News, he lost both of his legs above his knee, as well as part of his left arm. At that moment, he says, "I was dying."

But his real wounds went much deeper. Airlifted out of the war zone, Evans received months of care in a military hospital in Washington, DC. In the process, he became addicted to painkillers and, as he looked at his future, he says, "I was suicidal."
