1. President Trump Claims Andrew McCabe's Memos are 'Fake' - Time

President Donald Trump on Sunday questioned the impartiality of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and raised doubts about whether a fired top FBI official kept personal memos outlining his interactions with Trump. Trump, in a series of tweets, elevated his simmering grievances to a boil against Mueller, whose team is examining Trump campaign ties to Russia and possible obstruction of justice; onetime FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was dismissed Friday by the attorney general; and former FBI Director James Comey, ousted last year by Trump.

The president's Twitter barbs follow closely on the call by Trump's personal lawyer for the Trump-appointed No. 2 Justice Department official overseeing Mueller's inquiry to "bring an end" to that investigation. And Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee said this past week that they had completed a draft report concluding, after a yearlong investigation, that there was no collusion or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia; committee Democrats vehemently disagreed. (Read more)

- Lord, we know that Andrew McCabe was fired for lying, so this latest move may have been an attempt to protect himself, whether true or not. We ask once again for protection over President Trump and that You will continue to remove liars and those who have chosen a path of evil.

- "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and father of it." (John 8:44)

2. Retired four-star Army general: Trump, 'under the sway of Putin,' threatens national security - USA Today

A retired four-star Army general said that he thinks President Trump is a "serious threat to US national security" because the president "is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks." Retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey tweeted Friday that "it is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of (Russian President Vladimir) Putin."

McCaffrey, a military analyst for NBC News and president of his own consulting firm, BR McCaffrey Associates, was director of Office of National Drug Control Policy under President Clinton from 1996 to 2001. (Read more)

- Father, this man knows full well that the House Intelligence Committee cleared Mr. Trump from the Russian collusion issue, and is trying to keep the narrative going. We pray for Your protection over President Trump, and Your conviction over this general.

- "An evildoer gives heed to false lips; a liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue." (Proverbs 17:4)

3. Trump's UN Ambassador Haley makes good on threat, there will be NO aid to countries who voted against the President's Jerusalem Embassy vote - JewsNews.il

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley is making good on her threat to cut US aid to countries that vote against the US in the United Nations.

In December, 128 countries voted in the United Nations General Assembly against the United States' recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. At the time, President Trump and Haley threatened that there would be grave repercussions for recipients of US aid who failed to stand by their benefactor on such issues. On Thursday, Foreign Policy reported on a 53-page memo issued by Haley. Titled "America First Foreign Assistance Policy", the new policy will make good on that threat. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord for Nikki Haley's strong stance on this issue. We pray for her protection as well as the President's as the anger among EU and Muslim countries rails against them. Let them see truth, and act in conjunction with Your heart and not their own.

- "For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you will look diligently for his place, but it shall be no more." (Psalm 37:10)

4. Corker says Iran nuclear deal is likely on the outs - NY Post

With Rex Tillerson out at the State Department, the Iran nuclear deal is likely toast. Sen. Bob Corker, chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Sunday he expects President Trump will withdraw from the Iran deal on May 12 - the next deadline for certification. "Right now it doesn't feel like it's going to be extended. I think the president likely - will move away from it," Corker (R-Tenn.) told CBS' "Face the Nation."

Under the 2015 multi-national deal, the US must certify every 90 days whether Iran is complying with its commitments of the deal and decide whether to restart sanctions. Trump's pick for Secretary of State, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, is an Iran hardliner, whereas Tillerson had encouraged Trump to stay in the pact. (Read more)

- Lord, the Iran nuclear deal was never favorable to the United States or to Israel. We pray that You will do whatever needs to be done to prevent Iran from destroying any Western nation.

- "Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men."
(Psalm 9:19-20)

5. Trump prepared to hit China with $60 billion in annual tariffs - Washington Post

President Trump is preparing to impose a package of $60 billion in annual tariffs against Chinese products, following through on a longtime threat that he says will punish China for intellectual property theft and create more U.S. jobs.

The tariff package, which Trump plans to unveil by Friday, was confirmed by four senior administration officials.

Senior aides had presented Trump with a $30 billion tariff package that would apply to a range of products, but Trump directed them to roughly double the scope of the new trade levies. The package could be applied to more than 100 products, which Trump argues were developed by using trade secrets that China stole from U.S. companies or forced them to hand over in exchange for access to its massive market. (Read more)

- Father God, it is written that, for one man, as he sows, so shall he reap. In this hour when You are judging the nations, we see that this same law from Your Word also applies at this level, too. Thank You for the courage you have bestowed upon this lion-hearted President to do that which needs to be done to bring our nation back into the correct balance in international trade. Amen!

- "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap." (Galatians 6:7)

6. Trump Is About to Protect Doctors Who Won't Perform Abortions or Treat Transgender Patients - Fortune

President Donald Trump's administration is set to wade into its next health care policy controversy-new federal guidelines that would add protections for doctors and health care workers who have moral or religious objections to certain procedures, such as performing abortions and treating transgender Americans or those with different gender identities, Politico reports. Such rules would make it easier for health workers to opt out of services, and medical organizations which don't give doctors that leeway could reportedly be punished.

The new "conscience refusal" protections from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) could be introduced as soon as this week, according to Politico, and would likely set off a political firestorm. Groups like the Physicians for Reproductive Health network and National Center for Transgender Equality were already sending out missives Wednesday warning that such conscience-based refusals could harm patients and breed discrimination. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, for this action to protect people of conscience against the rules set in place by the previous administration.

- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9:10)

Focus on Israel

1. Palestinian terror resurgent. Third Israeli death in three days - Debka.com

Adiel Coleman, 32, father of four, was the third Israeli to be murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in three days. He was stabbed to death in Jerusalem on Sunday, March 18, by a Palestinian from a village near Nablus, who was shot dead by a policeman. On Friday, another Palestinian terrorist from Barta'a, drove his vehicle at high speed to run down a group of Israeli soldiers outside Mevo Dotan, killing Capt. Ziv DAos, 21, and Sgt. Nathanel Kahlani, and seriously injuring two others.

On Saturday, the fourth explosion in a month was planted on the Gaza Strip border fence. The devices were intended to blow up against a passing Israeli military patrol, but exploded prematurely this time and hurt no one. The IDF hit back by disabling two Hamas terror tunnels before they could be activated.

All these actions taken together help the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah and Hamas in Gaza in their efforts to precipitate a critical upsurge of violence ahead of major confrontations, timed for the sensitive national events and anniversaries falling between now and mid-May. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu congratulates Putin, refrains from criticizing Russian elections - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated newly re-elected Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, hailing the two leaders' "trust and understanding," but refraining from criticizing the election process, as many in Europe have done.

"Mr. President, please accept my sincere congratulations for your victory in yesterday's elections," Netanyahu wrote in a letter sent to Putin, his office said. "I deeply appreciate the personal dialogue between us, and I look forward to continuing to closely work together, in the spirit of the trust and understanding between us, to promote the vital interests of our countries," he added.

4. Italian imam heads to Jerusalem for anti-Semitism conference - Israel Hayom

The imam of Milan's Al-Wahid mosque is just one of the political, cultural and religious leaders set to take part in a global forum on anti-Semitism at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem this week.

Known as a moderate Muslim, Imam Yahya Sergio Yahe Pallavicini condemns violence in the name of Allah outright and advocates for inter-religious dialogue.

His father, Sheikh Abd Al-Wahid Pallavicini, was imprisoned for fighting with the partisans against the fascist regime of Benito Mussolini during World War II. "He was imprisoned," Pallavicini said of his father. "Many of his colleagues were executed, but he survived the war and afterward decided to study religion, to find an explanation for human existence. During his studies, he met a number of Muslim religious figures in Switzerland who brought him into the Sufi movements and in 1951, he converted to Islam."

5. Palestinian terror groups slam Abbas for threatening sanctions on Gaza - Times of Israel

Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups on Monday strongly condemned Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for threatening to impose new sanctions on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued shortly after Abbas warned of the move in a speech before Palestinian leaders in Ramallah, Hamas said that his "irresponsible statements" were aimed at "bringing our people in the Gaza Strip to their knees at this difficult and dangerous phase." In his address, Abbas announced that he had decided to take "legal, national and financial measures" against Hamas to "protect the Palestinian national project." He did not provide further details.

1. Pregnancy Centers Challenge Abortion at the Supreme Court - Liberty Counsel

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral argument tomorrow for National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) v. Becerra, one of four cases brought by crisis pregnancy centers challenging a California law as a violation of the First Amendment. Argument inside the Court will begin at 10:00 a.m. EST and last for one hour. Liberty Counsel previously filed an amicus brief in this case representing crisis pregnancy center clients, which is one of the four cases before the High Court.

The Supreme Court will review the California Reproductive FACT Act, which compels pro-life crisis pregnancy centers to post notices in their physical clinics, printed material, and online regarding the availability of free and low-cost abortions. The Court agreed to review the NIFLA case on the question of whether the disclosures required by the California Reproductive FACT Act violate the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment. (Read more)

- Holy God, we continue to cry out unto You in agreement with millions of others today, as we witness this critical hearing taking place inside the Supreme Court. We ask for a righteous decision to be rendered, so that we are never compelled by this government to act in violation of our conscience protections. Help us, O Lord, we pray, amen.

- "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." (1 Peter 3:12)

2. Supreme Court refuses to stop new congressional maps in Pennsylvania - Washington Post

The Supreme Court on Monday turned down a request from Republican legislative leaders in Pennsylvania to block a redrawn congressional map that creates more parity between the political parties in the state.

The practical impact is the 2018 elections are likely to be held under a map much more favorable to Democrats, who scored an apparent victory last week in a special election in a strongly Republican congressional district. The 2011 map that has been used this decade has resulted in Republicans consistently winning 13 of the state's 18 congressional seats.

The U.S. Supreme Court deliberated nearly two weeks before turning down the request to stop the map from being used in this fall's elections. Generally the justices stay out of the way when a state's highest court is interpreting its own state constitution.

The Supreme Court gave no reasoning in its one-sentence order, only that it was considered by all nine justices. There were no noted dissents. (Read more)

- Father God, we rest this case before the High Court of Heaven, which IS the "Supreme Court!" We do not understand this decision, but we state that our hope is in You, Lord, amen.

- "For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us." (Isaiah 33:22)

3. Fight over U.S. spending bill rekindles immigration debate - Reuters

As another U.S. government funding deadline looms, a huge spending bill is ground zero in the latest battle between Republicans and Democrats in Congress over President Donald Trump's push to toughen immigration policy.

Lawmakers have until March 23 to work out how to fund an array of government agencies for the next six months. But their behind-the-scenes negotiations are complicated by the immigration issue.

Republicans are seeking hundreds of millions of dollars more for the Department of Homeland Security to expand the number of beds for immigrant detainees and to hire more federal agents to patrol U.S. borders and the country's interior. That is aimed at finding and potentially deporting more illegal immigrants, a central pledge of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for the power of Your Holy Spirit in this issue of the spending bill, and over those who vote on it. Let them see Your truth, and know Your will.

- "Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink." (Psalm 69:14a)

4. Los Alamitos might challenge California over state's sanctuary law - Orange County Register

Los Alamitos might try to opt out of California's new sanctuary law.

The City Council in Orange County's second-smallest city is scheduled to vote Monday, March 19 on an ordinance that calls for exempting itself from the California Values Act, SB54, a new law that limits cooperation between law enforcement and immigration authorities.

The state law, which took effect Jan. 1, "may be in direct conflict with federal laws and the Constitution of the United States," reads the proposed local law. Stating that council members have taken an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution, the ordinance says the council "finds that it is impossible to honor our oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States" and at the same time be in compliance with the new state law. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for the success of this city's effort against the liberal machine in California.

- "But wisdom brings success." (Eccl. 10:10d)

5. IRS Documented 1.3M Identity Thefts by Illegal Aliens; Can't Say It Referred Any for Prosecution - CNS News

The Internal Revenue Service in 2011 through 2016 documented more than 1.3 million cases of identity theft perpetrated by illegal aliens whom the IRS had given Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN), which are only given to people who are ineligible to work in the United States or receive Social Security Numbers, according to information published by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). However, in response to inquiries from CNSNews.com, the IRS could not say if it had referred even one of these cases for criminal prosecution.

TIGTA, which is the inspector general responsible for overseeing the IRS, discovered another approximately 1.2 million cases in 2017 in which an illegal alien working in the United States had filed a tax return reporting wages that had been earned using a Social Security Number that belonged to someone else or was fabricated. Yet the IRS also could not say whether it referred any of these cases for criminal prosecution. (Read more)

- Father, this situation grieves us as citizens of America. Fake Social Security numbers, identity theft, these things need to be addressed as quickly as possible. We ask You to stop this problem and allow it to go no farther.

- "This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!" (Job 38:11)

6. Muslim Mafia Subpoenaed for School-Infiltration Plans - WND

A federal judge recently told school officials in San Diego to reveal details of their work with an Islamic advocacy organization that has been designated by the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist group, putting it in the same classification as ISIS. Now a legal team in that fight says it has issued investigative subpoenas to the California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations as part of a federal civil rights lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the San Diego Unified School District's "anti-Islamophobia initiative." The case is being handled by the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, which is working on behalf of parents in the district.

The district's multi-year program was developed under the direction of CAIR as a "holistic" plan to protect Muslim students and their families from bullying and discrimination. As part of the initiative, staff and students are taught by CAIR officials "how to become allies to Muslim students," and CAIR is empowered to revise school curriculum to portray Islam more favorably. FCDF is seeking communications between CAIR agents and the school district "as well as documents tracing the Islamic organization's strategic process for gaining inside access to impressionable schoolchildren." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for our children in all the school districts across the nation to be kept from Islamic indoctrination. May their ears be deaf to the lies of the enemy, and their eyes be opened to the agenda of those who wish to cause them to be converted in the name of political correctness.

- "A false witness shall not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies shall perish." (Proverbs 19:9)

7. Austin on edge after explosion leaves 2 injured; cause of blast unclear - Fox News

Another Austin explosion -- possibly triggered by a trip wire -- injured two people on bicycles Sunday night, leaving police frantically working to determine if the blast is linked to a trio of package bombings that have gripped the Texas capital in fear.

The latest blast occurred around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night in a suburban neighborhood known as Travis Country. Investigators didn't immediately confirm what caused it. "If this explosion was the result of a bomb using trip wire technology, that is showing a different level of skill above that we were already concerned that this suspect or suspects may possess," Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will reveal the perpetrators of these despicable incidents quickly so the authorities can arrest them. We ask for Your protection and peace over the people of Austin, and healing for the victims of this bomb blast.

- "For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; indeed you will look diligently for his place, but it shall be no more." (Psalm 27:10)

8. Child Sex Crimes Soar by 30 Per Cent in Sadiq Khan's London as Public Anger Over Grooming Gangs Grows - Breitbart London

Statistics show the number of child sexual exploitation cases in 2017 had risen by 30 per cent on the previous year, the Evening Standard reports. The figures were released on Friday, when the Metropolitan Police co-hosted a conference to raise awareness of the problem with children's charity Barnardo's, which has launched a pilot scheme to help child victims of rape and sexual exploitation. "Children who have been sexually exploited can feel completely powerless, and being raped or sexually assaulted often causes debilitating levels of trauma," said Jessica Juon, assistant director of children's services at Barnardo's London, explaining it is important to help victims feel safe.

Detective Superintendent Steve Ellen said the Met has been trying to improve how it records and recognises child sexual exploitation offences, but acknowledged that the figures could point to a rise in the number of crimes.

He said: "Child sexual exploitation is a real priority for us and we are getting better at looking for it and dealing with it and we are encouraging people to come forward." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Your comfort and protection over these children who have been victimized. Let the causes of this terrible situation be revealed and destroyed in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

- "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." (Romans 1:18)

9. 'Secular Humanist' Seeks To Serve As Navy Chaplain - FRC

The bizarre storyline started in 2015 when Jason Heap tried to sue his way into the chaplaincy. Not surprisingly, the Navy rejected him because he planned to associate with two humanist groups instead of an actual religious denomination. Ultimately, the military ended up in court defending the notion that religious leaders should serve a religious purpose. They won. But this year, Heap is trying again -- and, according to Senator Wicker -- the Chaplain Appointment and Retention Eligibility Advisory Group is actually recommending the Navy accept him.

Wicker, an Air Force veteran and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, is doing everything he can to keep the application from moving forward. And he's enlisted 22 other senators and 40-plus House members to help. In two separate letters to Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, both chambers explain how radically this would alter the Chaplain Corps. Obviously, the dozens of leaders explain, no one is saying that atheists don't belong in the military. But allowing them to serve and allowing them in the pulpit are two different things.

"The Navy has sufficient authority to create programs for humanist or atheist service members," the senators write. "The Chaplain Corps is not the appropriate place. The Chaplain Corps serves religious needs, not philosophical preferences. Approving a secular-humanist chaplain would open the door to other applicants representing other philosophical worldviews. Over time, this situation would erode the distinct religious function of the Chaplain Corps." (Read more)

- Father God, again and again and again, we come to You on bended knee, repenting of our sins and those of our leaders, and asking Your forgiveness and mercy to yet rest upon our land. Please restore us to sanity, that we might serve You with clean hands and pure hearts, amen.

- "The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand. Let Israel know this. Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired person a maniac." (Hosea 9:7)

10. Putin's giant Russian election victory sparks backlash, claims of 'charade' - Fox News

Backlash grew around the world Sunday after Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed a huge victory in his country's presidential election.

Putin was re-elected with more than 75 percent of the vote, exit polling data showed, which keeps him as Russia's leader for another six years - marking him as the country's longest-serving ruler other than Joseph Stalin.

The election sparked swift criticism from those who questioned the integrity of the election.

Edward Snowden, the former CIA contractor who gained infamy for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents from the National Security Agency in 2013, posted security camera footage of what looked like ballot stuffing. Snowden claimed it was part of "an effort to steal the influence of 140+ million people." (Read more)

- Lord, we are aware that Mr. Putin is a dangerous man, and will go to great lengths -- even murder -- to keep his power. We pray for a move of Your Holy Spirit over not only the Russian people, but over their leadership as well. Only a fearless praying people, filled with Your Holy Spirit, can change the direction of Russia at this time.

- "The evil will bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous." (Proverbs 14:19)

Corruption, strife and contention

The book of Habakkuk opens with the prophet saying, "O Lord, how long shall I cry and you will not hear! Even cry out unto thee of violence, and you will not save! Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? For spoiling and violence are before me: and there are strife and contention that rise up. Therefore the law is ignored, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverted judgment proceeds." This plea to the Lord is on the lips of many countrymen as they view the corruption around the nation. It is deep and wide among those who seek to destroy our freedom, our rights, our ability to speak and worship freely.

Everywhere we turn, we hear, see and experience the negativity and lies. The corruption surrounds us and strife and contention have arisen because of it. The law has been ignored. There are many who are above the law. There are those who are twisting the law. There are those who are institutionalizing organized crime within our federal and state governments to enrich themselves with money and power. These were the very things that the Founding Fathers sought to avoid by establishing a nation governed by the rule of law. Here we are 242 years later and we have become a nation of contention and strife. The people have forgotten their common interests and have been divided by lies.

Many have defeatist attitudes and discourage others by saying that we have no country, that it is doomed. They take a cynical glee in degrading what we have become rather than encouraging others to stand for what is right. There are those who say that Christians should not be concerned with the country or the government because ours is a higher calling to the kingdom of God. To that I say, God is consistent in his word that it is not an either/or situation. He chooses to work through his people and we are instructed to overcome evil with good, to let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father which is in heaven. We are called to be the light of Christ to those around us.

2 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Verse 12 exhorts: "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas, they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." With some 75% of the people in this nation claiming to be Christian, our nation would not be so corrupt, strife-filled, and contentious if we were doing what we are called to do. The nation is a reflection of our faith because we are still the vast majority. Notwithstanding, 12 men turned the world upside-down. If they could do it, so can we by walking in faith, trusting in the Lord, and being doers of the word.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Update: Taylor Force Act

Congress Overdue to Pass Taylor Force Act

I. Congress is overdue to pass the Taylor Force Act - The Hill

It is a simple, uncontroversial principle: U.S. taxpayer dollars should never go to terrorists who attack U.S. citizens, interests, or allies. Yet, that is exactly what happens with U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority. Congress needs advance American values and interests in peace by clearly stopping this practice. Two years ago, Taylor Force, a heroic American, a West Point graduate and veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, was murdered by a Palestinian while touring Israel as a civilian. Israeli police killed the terrorist, Basha Masalha. In contrast, Palestinians danced in the street celebrating his "martyrdom" and the Palestinian Authority (PA) rewarded his family with a sizable monthly stipend.
This wasn't an isolated event. The Palestinian Authority runs an extensive 'pay to slay' program.
As soon as a terrorist is arrested, the PA provides them a salary and, for some, a guaranteed government job upon release. The bloodier the crime and longer the sentence, the greater the reward. Those jailed for less than three years receive a $368 monthly salary; those in jail for three to five years, $570 a month; and those serving at least 30 years get $3,400 every month. This in a society with 20 percent unemployment and an average monthly salary of under $300.

The families of, as official Palestinian documents put it, "those martyred and wounded as a result of being participants or bystanders in the revolution," such as that of Force's killer, also receive a monthly payment, health insurance, and tuition assistance.

Making matters worse, the family of Force's murderer is being paid, indirectly, by American taxpayers.
The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a version of the Taylor Force Act, and it is now up to the Senate to do likewise. Organized by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), we led a delegation comprised of Taylor Force's parents and sister, West Point friends of his, and a West Point-educated retired U.S. general, last week that met senior White House officials and pivotal Democratic and Republican Members of Congress urging the Senate to pass immediately a stand-alone Taylor Force Act and President Trump to sign it.
The response was very positive, yet a few anonymous Senators are holding up the legislation despite overwhelming bipartisan support. We call upon Senate Republican and Democratic leaders to allocate debate time to enable an up/down vote that will advance this legislation and shine a light on PA support for terror. We then expect President Trump to sign it into law. (Read more)

II. Danon calls to end 'despicable pay to slay' policy after ramming attack - Jerusalem Post

NEW YORK - Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon demanded that the Palestinian Authority put an immediate end to its "despicable pay to slay" policy in the wake of terror attack on Friday that left two Israeli soldiers dead and two others injured.

The Israeli envoy also said it was imperative that the world join him in condemning the attack which occurred in the West Bank settlement of Mevo Dotan after a suspected Palestinian terrorist used a car to ram into a group of IDF soldiers.

"As long as the Palestinian Authority continues to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to terrorists who kill Israelis, we will continue to see such heinous attacks," said Dannon. (Read more)

> > > Please note:

Yes, the pay to slay policy MUST END! What can be done at the US level to DEFUND the Palestinians? This is tricky, because monies are sent for "so called" humanitarian purposes. Yet, when funds are sent there seems to be no way to insure that it gets to the people for humanitarian purposes, but instead funds go to build terror tunnels and pay out monies to families of terrorists who are killed in action. May the LORD grant WISDOM to Trump and to new State Dept apppointee Mike Pompeo on how to deal with this! (Submitted by Laura Densmore)

Scripture: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

GOD'S TRUMPET WAKES THE SLUMBERING WORLD

"'You are my witnesses,' says the Lord." (Isaiah 43:10)

Lyrics

God's trumpet wakes the slumbering world; Now each man to his post! The red cross banner is unfurled; Who joins the glorious host? Who joins the glorious host? He who, in fealty to the truth, Not counting all the cost, Doth consecrate his generous youth, He joins the noble host, he joins the noble host.

He who, no anger on his tongue, Nor any idle boast, Bears steadfast witness 'gainst the wrong, He joins the sacred host, He joins the sacred host. He who, with calm, undaunted will, Ne'er counts the battle lost, But, though defeated, battles still, He joins the faithful host, he joins the faithful host.
He who is ready for the cross, The cause despised loves most, And shuns not pain, nor shame, nor loss, He joins the martyr host, He joins the martyr host. God's trumpet wakes the slumbering world; Now each man to his post! The red cross banner is unfurled; We join the glorious host, we join the glorious host.

Severe weather rips through Alabama university, takes aim at Southeast

Severe weather that spawned at least one tornado slammed Alabama's Jacksonville State University on Monday night and took aim at the rest of the southeast.

Alabama state troopers said the damage in Jacksonville, Ala. left the city looking like a "war zone." Strong winds downed trees and damaged buildings as the National Weather Service confirmed a "damaging and possibly large tornado near Jacksonville and Calhoun counties and was moving east.

Jacksonville State University Athletic Director Greg Seitz wrote in a tweet that there was significant damage to campus, including to the newly renovated Pete Mathews Coliseum.

"I can confirm we have major roof damage at Pete Mathews Coliseum, but The Pete is not completely destroyed," Seitz said in a tweet. (Fox News) Read more.

The Real Mary Magdalene Discovered?

Digging in Her Hometown Turns Up a Wealth of Information

Take a ride along the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee and you'll find one of the archaeological treasures of Israel. It's the ancient town of Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, the friend of Jesus. She played a pivotal role in the life and ministry of Jesus. You can find her described throughout the New Testament. She was delivered from seven demons (Mark 16:9: Luke 8:2). You can find her too at the foot of the cross (Mt. 27: 55, 56; John 19:25); when Jesus was buried (Mt. 27:61) and was the first one to see Jesus after His Resurrection (Mark 16:1-11).

But who was this woman? Throughout history she has often been described as a prostitute before she began her ministry with Jesus.

However, new discoveries at Magdala suggest Mary Magdalene might not have been a "woman of the night" but rather an influential and wealthy woman. For example, in the first century, well known people were often called by the name of their hometown. That appears to be the case of Mary Magdalene. Some scholars also believe Mary Magdalene could have been a rich widow since she supported the ministry of Jesus. In Luke 8:3 it names her first among the women who cared for Jesus out of their own means. (CBN/Breaking Christian News)

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
