1. Remains of pyramid dating to Israel's exodus discovered in Egypt - World Israel News
A top antiquities official says an Egyptian excavation team has discovered the remains of a pyramid dating back to the 13th Dynasty, some 3700 years ago. The head of the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Sector, Mahmoud Afifi, said in a statement Monday that the remains were located north of King Sneferu's bent pyramid in the Dahshur royal necropolis south of Cairo. Due to the bent slope of its sides, the pyramid is believed to have been Ancient Egypt's first attempt at building a smooth-sided pyramid. (Read more)
2. PM said preparing package of gestures for Palestinians at Trump's behest - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly preparing a raft of goodwill gestures for the Palestinians following a request from US President Donald Trump, who wants to see the two sides back at the negotiating table.
Netanyahu presented some of the measures to his cabinet in a meeting held Thursday night, according to a report published Monday in the Haaretz newspaper. The reported cited five participants in the closed-door meeting who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Chief among the measures was allowing Palestinians to build in Area C of the West Bank, the part of the territory under full Israeli civil and military control. (Read more)
3. Jerusalem police on high alert ahead of Passover holiday - Israel Hayom
The Jerusalem District Police on Sunday declared high alert across the capital, which will be in effect throughout the Passover holiday, beginning on April 10.
The decision followed a terrorist attack in the Old City of Jerusalem Saturday, when a Palestinian terrorist stabbed two youths and tried to stab a border policeman. The terrorist attempted to flee the scene and was killed after a short clash with Border Police.
Security forces' deployment in Jerusalem has been steadily increased since the onset of the wave of terrorism in the fall of 2015. While police deployment is routinely increased during the holidays, recent security tensions warrant unusually heightened vigilance. (Read more)
4. Former IDF chiefs form new movement - Jerusalem Post
Former IDF chiefs of staff Gabi Ashkenazi and Benny Gantz announced the formation of a nonpolitical movement Monday at a press conference in Lod.
The movement, called Pnima (Inward), deals with internal issues inside society and uniting the country's different sectors.
The movement was founded more than a year ago and was profiled in The Jerusalem Post last June, but as one of its founders said, it is only "coming out of the closet" now. (Read more)
5. Terrorists threaten hunger strike - Israel National News
Terrorists serving time in Israeli prisons on Monday announced their plan to launch a hunger strike this Friday, on "Palestinian Prisoners' Day", in an attempt to pressure Israel to comply with their demands.
The Palestine newspaper, which is affiliated with Hamas, reported that the prisoners' demands include, among other things, an improvement in the conditions of imprisonment, visits by relatives twice a month (instead of once a month), and improving the conditions of imprisonment of imprisoned minors.
Fuad al-Khashaf, director of the Ahrar Center for Research on Prisoners, made clear that this was not a symbolic hunger strike for Palestinian Prisoners' Day, but a matter of principle that would lead to escalated measures if the Israel Prison Service ignored the demands of the terrorists. Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
1. Russia: Explosion on metro in St. Petersburg - CNN affiliate
Eleven people were killed in a blast on the St. Petersburg metro Monday, the Russian health ministry said. Authorities say the explosion is a terrorist attack. An explosion tore through a train as it was traveling between two stations in Russia's second-biggest city, injuring dozens more.
A second device was found and defused at another station, Russia's Anti-Terrorism Committee said. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which led to the shutdown of the city's metro system. President Vladimir Putin, who had been in St. Petersburg earlier in the day, said all causes were being investigated, including terrorism. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev described the explosion as a "terrorist act." (Read more)
- Father, we pray that Your Presence and comfort would flow through St Petersburg in the aftermath of this attack. Let Your Spirit draw the people to the Throne of Grace, and the perpetrators of such tragedy be quickly found and prevented from further death.
- "O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2b,c)
2. Gorsuch wins Senate panel endorsement, setting up floor showdown - Fox News
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted Monday along party lines to endorse Judge Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court, setting up a showdown between Democratic and Republican senators in a series of final votes expected later this week.
The 20-member committee voted 11-9 for Gorsuch, President Trump's pick for the high court seat left by conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February 2016.
"The nominee's opponents have tried to find a fault with him that will stick. And it just hasn't worked," said committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who allowed all 20 members to speak before the final vote. "Judge Gorsuch is eminently qualified. He's a mainstream judge who's earned the universal respect of his colleagues on the bench and in the bar. He applies the law as we in Congress write it."
Despite such praise from the GOP side, all Democrats on the committee voted against the nominee, in a sign of the clash to come as the nomination advances to the full Senate. (Read more)
- Father, let only Your will be done regarding any Supreme Court nominee, including Mr. Gorsuch.
- "Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it." (Proverbs 16:22a)
3. Obama spying looks even worse than Trump claimed - WND
The spying by the Obama administration on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump reportedly was even worse than what he has alleged. And it had nothing to do with Russia but everything to do with politics.
Sources in the intelligence community claim the potentially illegal revealing of names, or unmasking, of people in the Trump camp who were under surveillance was done purely "for political purposes" to "hurt and embarrass (candidate) Trump and his team."
The bombshell revelations come from rank and file members of the intelligence community who are fighting back against a stonewall by the leaders at the nation's spy agencies, according to Fox News. Reporter Adam Housley said the sources are "not Trump" people but are "frustrated with the politics that is taking place in these (intelligence) agencies." (Read more)
- Lord, as this controversy swirls through Washington, we pray that the truth, and only the truth be revealed. Let Your Spirit sift through the deceptions slung by left-wing media, bringing out all that You have purposed for the benefit of Your people.
- "The words of the wicked are 'Lie in wait for blood,' but the mouth of the upright will deliver them." (Proverbs 12:6)
4. Susan Rice requested to unmask names of Trump transition officials, sources say - Fox News
Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caught up in surveillance. The unmasked names, of people associated with Donald Trump, were then sent to all those at the National Security Council, some at the Defense Department, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan - essentially, the officials at the top, including former Rice deputy Ben Rhodes.
The names were part of incidental electronic surveillance of candidate and President-elect Trump and people close to him, including family members, for up to a year before he took office. (Read more)
- Lord, according to protocol, all names of persons collected "incidentally" are supposed to be redacted from any reports to the National Security Council - to do otherwise is a flagrant political act. We thank You for this revelation, and ask that You move mightily to counter the hateful accusations against our President.
- "The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth." (Psalm 34:16)
5. Trump says US will act alone on North Korea if China fails to help - The Guardian UK
Donald Trump has issued China with an ultimatum that if it fails to put pressure on North Korea to disable its nuclear programme, then the US is prepared to take action against Pyongyang on its own.
"Well, if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will," the president said in an interview with the Financial Times that has alarmed experts on the region.
Asked how he would tackle North Korea, Trump said: "I'm not going to tell you. You know, I am not the United States of the past where we tell you where we are going to hit in the Middle East."
Trump will host the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, on Thursday and Friday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where the two leaders are expected to discuss North Korea, China's ambitions in the South China Sea and trade. There is speculation that North Korea could conduct another nuclear missile test to coincide with the talks. (Read more)
- Lord, we thank You for a President with a solid backbone who will stand up against the dangers that pervade the world. We ask that the meetings this week be productive, and that Mr. Trump will show forth his "deal making" ability with Your Presence and Power.
- "The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1b)
6. NYPD reportedly defies sanctuary city status after alerting ICE on illegal immigrants' court dates - Fox News
The NYPD reportedly alerts federal immigration officials to illegal immigrants' appearances in criminal court despite Mayor Bill de Blasio's vow to remain a sanctuary city.
The NYPD's process of verifying warrants against a defendant includes contacting relevant law enforcement agencies, including ICE, which alerts agents to an illegal immigrant's upcoming court date, the New York Daily News reported Sunday. New York City has vowed to only alert immigration officials if an illegal immigrant is accused of a violent crime.
An NYPD administrative aide noted that ICE was contacted about the arrest of David Gonzalez, 51, on March 2 and Milton Chimborazo, 35, on March 15, the Daily News reported. Gonzalez, who had been previously deported, was facing misdemeanor charges for allegedly rubbing up against a woman on a subway train, while Gimborazo had a standing deportation order and was facing a burglary charge.
The city had failed to comply with ICE "detainer" orders, but immigration officials showed up to court anyway. ICE took Gonzalez into custody after he was released by a judge, but agents did not arrest Gimborazo. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that You release common sense to these "Sanctuary" cities who allow the release of criminals back into the communities. Thank You for the NYPD standing against such foolish policies, and we ask protection for them against backlash from Mayor DeBlasio.
- "Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven." (Psalm 85:11)
7. Mattis gets earful about lesbian nominee to academy post - WND
Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, in addition to the job he has cleaning up the U.S. military following eight years of neglect under Barack Obama, is having to deal with the aftermath of all of the social experiments Obama launched on the military, too. These include sexual lifestyle choices by those in military leadership who "break trust with the millions of Christians who voted for the new president in hope that the ungodly policies of the previous administration would be repudiated."
The challenge comes in a letter from Kayla Moore, the chief of the Foundation for Moral Law, and the wife of embattled Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore. The organization works to restore the knowledge of God in law and government and "to acknowledge and defend the truth that man is endowed with rights, not by our fellow man, but by God." It uses both litigation and education outreaches.
Moore's letter cites the problem of the nomination of Kristin Goodwin to be chief of cadets at the Air Force Academy. (Read more)
- Father, we are constantly appalled at the lack of morality within our military. We pray that Secretary Mattis will heed the word of this letter and understand why Ms. Goodwin should not be the chief of cadets.
- "For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death."
(Proverbs 8:35,36)
8. The 'Religious Left' Is on the Move - Lifezette.com
With President Donald Trump's election to office, Christian progressives have taken a more vocal stance on issues such as climate change and social justice - while conservative Christians are holding their ground. "Although support for the religious left is difficult to measure, leaders point to several examples, such as a surge of congregations offering to provide sanctuary to immigrants seeking asylum, churches urging Republicans to reconsider repealing the Obamacare health law and calls to preserve federal spending on foreign aid," notes Scott Malone in a piece that appeared in Reuters.
"The 'religious left' is now slowly coming together as a force in U.S. politics."
While the "religious right" still dominates the political philosophy in many American churches, some churches have tried to bridge the divide and not play politics in places of religious worship. "For the vast majority of American Christians, politics is hardly the chief priority in their lives. Indeed, I'd argue (contrary to flawed media perceptions) that most Christians haven't paid sufficient attention to politics," David French wrote in National Review this month. (Read more)
- Father, our brethren in this "progressive" movement have completely lost their way. We ask that You bring revival, immersing these people in Your Spirit to restore truth, and the knowledge of Your ways. - "The entirety of Your Word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever." (Psalm 119:160)
9. Murder rate for these white farmers 20 times international average - WND
Over a two-year time span, South African Claudine Van Wyk lost three beloved family members in a series of gruesome farm attacks in the troubled African nation. Her story is hardly unique.
The horrendous violence that has become so common in South Africa is a terror that even cross-border violence or irrational violence against a religious minority doesn't approach. And the attacks are viewed by many experts as the signs of genocide, warning top government officials are inciting, if not participating directly in it.
The trigger for the latest murder and mayhem against whites is the land owned by descendants of Europeans who arrived generations ago and built up what is now becoming known as "Rainbow Nation." Among those ramping up the hatred is South African President Jacob Zuma, who sings a song about genocide and is now seeking to expropriate white-owned farms without even providing compensation. (Read more)
- Father, too many white farmers are dying in defense of their own land. We pray that Your Spirit would move among the people of South Africa, convicting them of these atrocities, and bringing peace to a place that is in the midst of Communist and racial upheaval. - "But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."
(1 John 2:11)
10. More than 200 dead, many missing in Colombia mudslides - CNN
Rescuers in southern Colombia were scrambling Sunday to reach more than 100 people who are missing after devastating mudslides tore through entire communities. Hundreds are reported dead after torrential rains Friday night caused three rivers surrounding Mocoa, in Putumayo province, to overflow -- sending a torrent of mud surging through the city.
Reports of the exact number of those killed in the rugged, remote area vary. The Colombian military said at least 254 are dead and around 400 more injured. The Red Cross reports 234 deaths and said that 158 people were missing. A police officer was among the victims, federal officials said. (Read more) Father You said in Your Word that You are a very present help in times of trouble. We bring that word before You now on behalf of the people in Colombia who are in the midst of this tragedy. Let Your Holy Spirit move mightily to bring relief, restore hope, and help them rise up to do what is necessary. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear." Psalm 46:1,2a

Republic under threat
Some recent headlines belie common sense. Women wearing hijabs as a symbol of feminism in the US when the hijab could be considered a symbol of oppression and domestic violence against women around the world; women protesting health rights when in reality they are demanding the right to kill their babies in the womb; protesters and rioters violently beating people, smashing cars, and burning buildings, saying they are protesting fascism; Cities fighting to give sanctuary to criminals because they are in America illegally; Democrats saying they have never heard so many lies about a President, but they are the ones telling the lies...we could go on. These are signs that our Republic is under attack.
Never before have I seen such vitriol directed at a President. We are witnessing history being made-and not in a good way. Since World War II, nearly every US President (I think Reagan was the exception) has supported a globalist worldview for America. From the Cold War to Vietnam to skirmishes along the way to the current threads of crisis in the Middle East, America has supported a worldview of spreading democracy as a way to achieve world peace. Opening up trade with China, Japan, Korea, and promoting trade with Russia and others was supposed to keep the peace while enriching not only business, but also ways of life. For nearly the last 100 years, this globalist vision has been set in place.
The globalist vision also has been established and institutionalized throughout the government. It is anchored in the State Department, the Defense Department, the Departments of Agriculture, Interior, Education, and even in the Department of Justice. This globalist vision appears to be a stronghold in the CIA, the FBI, Homeland Security, and other secret intelligence gathering agencies such as the National Security Agency. The Democratic Party and much of the Republican Party have embraced globalism to the point of advocating an unspoken form of communism. Donald Trump's "America First" mantra has exposed just how deep the globalist socialist roots have become in our society and government.
The mere threat of populism-of rejecting and tearing down the construct of socialist globalism that has become so imbedded in America's governmental lexicon-has brought the fury of the puppeteers and their puppets against all things that disagree with the globalist agenda. Normal, common sense, God-fearing, hard working, family-oriented people who can see the folly of this system, are labeled racists, bigots, misogynists, and a whole bunch of phobias. In short, the Constitutional Republic is under threat. The American way of life is under attack. It is so close to being overthrown. We need to pray and act. Romans 13:12 says, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." As it is written, "now it is high time to awake out of sleep."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Should Obama Officials Lawyer Up?

Should Obama Officials Lawyer Up?
The bombshell story that broke on Fox News this weekend has the potential to blow up Obama and his senior national security advisors.
Fox News' Adam Housley reported that the individual who in the course of an investigation exposed the names of multiple U.S. citizens affiliated with Donald Trump is someone "very well known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world." Rumors are rampant this morning that Susan Rice might be implicated. The exposure or unmasking is likely a felony.
- House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Devin Nunes has learned who this top Obama official is.
- The individual is not in the FBI.
- The investigation of Trump and his associates had nothing to do with national security or Russian interference in the election according to a congressional source.
- In January, two sources in the intelligence community told Chairman Nunes who leaked the names of Trump associates.
- The sources gave Nunes serial numbers of documents that expose the monitoring of Trump and who may be responsible for leaking names.
- Nunes asked various intelligence agencies if he could see the reports but they did not accommodate his request.
- This led Chairman Nunes to go to the Old Executive Office Building, part of the White House complex, where he could access a special facility to view the classified reports.
This morning Housley elaborated on what he has found and it is deeply troubling. Here are excerpts: (*As transcribed by Breitbart)
"We know that there was this - there was surveillance of Trump and people close to Donald Trump including some supporters for up to a year before inauguration. That information was disseminated we're told through NSA channels. It's unprecedented the way this was done. The mention of U.S. citizens is supposed to be masked. That means basically taken out of the report
"What I'm told now is that when these reports came out, names were there and that is unprecedented. Basically, they say the information that's unmasking, these names of Americans who had done nothing wrong was disseminated to all of NSC, some at DoD, Clapper, Brennan - basically the people at the top
"They also say I'm told Rice knew about this possibly as well . . .
"They just tell us about the information about unmasking names from Donald Trump and his team and his family was disseminated to a very select few at the top and was done so for a significant amount of time. And that is blockbuster, guys. As far as we know hasn't been done at least in modern times when it comes to this type of thing "and, again, as far as we can tell, none of this had anything to do with national security."
The reaction of the left and the media has been predictable. They have launched a full-throated attack on Chairman Nunes for both going to the White House complex and for the March press conference. There are calls for him to step down or for a special commission to be set up to investigate the possibility of Trump/Russia collusion. Not one major network, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc. devoted one second to the Fox News blockbuster report.
As of now, in spite of numerous ongoing investigations, no one has found one piece of evidence proving any improper communication between President Trump or his team with the Russian Government. But what we are learning is that U.S. national security agencies may have been used by Obama Administration officials at the highest levels to monitor the Trump team and inappropriately disclose names of U.S. citizens for the purpose of politically damaging the Trump/Pence Administration. If true, this would be a scandal that dwarfs Watergate, and it could come to define Obama's legacy. (Gary Bauer)
Update: Repealing Obamacare
|
||||
After 18 Holes, Trump Tees up Health Care
President Trump didn't just play golf Sunday, he narrowed the gulf on his health care repeal. After a round with Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), one of the House bill's biggest opponents, the Kentucky leader seemed far more open to the second reincarnation of the plan. "I continue to be very optimistic that we are getting closer and closer to an agreement on repealing Obamacare," he told reporters after the outing. (Family Research Council) Read more.

In Ankara, Tillerson Talks Turkey
Just because the administration has changed doesn't mean the plight of overseas Christians has. Slowly but surely, President Trump's new administration is acting to give new hope to the persecuted -- including U.S. citizens like Andrew Brunson, an American pastor behind bars in Turkey. Last October, he and his wife, Norine, who served more than 20 years in the country, were arrested and charged with "membership in an armed terrorist organization." Although his wife was released, Pastor Brunson has been jailed for months without a scrap of evidence. "Will the Turkish government face no consequence for stubbornly continuing to hold an American citizen as a political prisoner?" Pastor Brunson said in a statement. "Blessings crown the head of the righteous." (Proverbs 10:6)
Lyrics
When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will keep singing as the days go by.
Refrain
When you look at others with their lands and gold, Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small, Do not be disheartened, God is over all; Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Central New Zealand faces Cyclone Debbie deluge
Rain from the remnants of former tropical cyclone Debbie is falling across the lower half of the North Island as the country braces for a giant storm that will last for days.
Central New Zealand is on high alert as the country braces for a deluge so intense some areas will get three times April's normal rainfall in just 48 hours. Virtually no region in the North Island will escape the potentially damaging torrential rain. It will also affect districts in the northeast of the South Island.
MetService has issued a swathe of rain and wind warnings that span the North Island and top of the south.
There's already been 50-70mm of rain recorded by many stations across central NZ in past 12 hrs. (New Zealand Herald) Read more.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Launches Its First Recycled Rocket
in Historic Leap: "My Mind's Blown, Frankly"
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) - SpaceX successfully launched and then retrieved its first recycled rocket Thursday, a historic feat and the biggest leap yet in its bid to drive down costs and speed up flights. It was the first time SpaceX founder Elon Musk tried to fly a booster that soared before on an orbital mission. He was at a loss for words after the Falcon 9 core landed on the bull's-eye of the ocean platform following liftoff with a broadcasting satellite, achieving what some had once told him was impossible.
"This is a huge day. My mind's blown, frankly," Musk said. He called it an "incredible milestone in the history of space" and predicted, "this is going to be a huge revolution in spaceflight."
Musk foresees dozens if not hundreds of repeat flights for a booster and rocket turnarounds of as little as 24 hours, perhaps by next year. Land, refuel and then back up again, with everything leading to one day putting humanity "out there among the stars." (Read more)
