"Standing Together as One
. . . Under the Cross of Christ"
"Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard."
(Psalm 66:8)
Congratulations, President Trump!

Congratulations, President Trump, upon the successful completion
of your First 100 Days in office!
Dear President Trump,
We at Capitol Hill Prayer Partners salute you for the amazing way in which you have moved so quickly to transform our nation in your First 100 Days in office.
You have literally appeared "out of nowhere" in the political arena, but determined to make America great again as you have captured the hearts of our people to allow you to do so. Entering into the Oval Office from a tremendously successful career in global business affairs, you have brought gifts to the presidency that our people so desperately have need of.
With this letter of congratulations, we refrain from "scoring" your record as others are doing. Instead, we pledge to continue to pray for you, sir, as we have all other presidents who have served before you since our own beginnings in 1994.
We hence uphold this mandate from Almighty God, as a covenant promise to lift you in prayer in all of your remaining days in office.
It is written:
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
(I Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV)
One day at a time, in His name, amen.
Sara C. Ballenger, Founder and President

Thank You for Worshiping the King of Kings Today!
Dear Friends,
As we publish this edition of the Legislative Snapshot, we take note that we are now about half way through our first National Day of Worship.
We rejoice, knowing that so many of you out there are also worshiping with us now, in this "set time" to lift our voices in praise unto our Lord, because He alone is worthy of our praise!
Many of you have been in touch with us since midnight last night, expressing your own joy as you, too, have met our Lord in a chorus of praise. . . Thank you!
May His presence rest upon us in this day, and may He cover us with His feathers, in His love.
Amen and amen.
Sara Ballenger

Legislative Program for next week
(Mr. HOYER asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute.)
Mr. HOYER. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the gentleman from California (Mr. McCarthy), the majority leader, for the purpose of inquiring of the schedule for the week to come. (Mr. McCARTHY asked and was given permission to revise and extend his remarks.)
Mr. McCARTHY. Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman for yielding.
Mr. Speaker, on Monday, the House will meet at noon for morning hour and 2 p.m. for legislative business. Votes will be postponed until 6:30.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will meet at 10 a.m. for morning hour and noon for legislative business.
On Thursday, the House will meet at 9 a.m. for legislative business.
Mr. Speaker, the House will consider a number of suspensions next week, a complete list of which will be announced by close of business today.
One suspension worth highlighting is H.R. 1644, the Korean Interdiction and Modernization of Sanctions Act, sponsored by Chairman Ed Royce. Mr. Speaker, last year, North Korea conducted two nuclear weapons tests and 26 ballistic missile flight tests.
Congress has long led the charge to impose strict sanctions against the Kim Jong-un regime. This bill would continue that effort by specifically sanctioning North Korea's shipping industry, as well as targeting those who employ North Korean slave labor abroad. It is critical we send a clear and bipartisan message that North Korea's reckless provocations cannot continue.
In addition, Mr. Speaker, the House will consider H.R. 1180, the Working Families Flexibility Act, sponsored by Representative Martha Roby. This bill would give employees the option to convert the overtime hours worked into paid time off. Mr. Speaker, hardworking Americans in the private sector deserve the same flexibility that public sector workers have enjoyed for decades. By passing this bill, we will give American families greater choice in how they spend their most important resource, their time.
Finally, Mr. Speaker, the House will consider legislation providing further appropriations for the 2017 fiscal year. I am encouraged by the reports I have received from our Appropriations Committee regarding these negotiations, and I look forward to a strong vote on this agreement next week.
Mr. Speaker, additional legislative items are possible. If any items are added, I will relay scheduling information to Members as soon as possible.
