HONORING PASSOVER
Chag Sameach Pesach!
1. Heavy security measures to be taken in Jerusalem for Passover, Easter - Jerusalem Post
More than 3,500 policemen will patrol Jerusalem during Passover and Easter with an emphasis on the Old City, where some 150,000 visitors from around the globe are expected to gather at the Western Wall and in the Christian Quarter.
Following two recent stabbing attacks in the Muslim Quarter, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said security will be at its highest level to ensure the public's safety.
"The Israel Police has made security assessments since the most recent knife attack last Saturday," said Rosenfeld on Thursday. "We are going to implement extra security, although there have been no concrete threats received by police."
According to Rosenfeld, some 1,500 extra officers from various units will be on hand for the duration of both holidays. "We have mapped out the different areas and will mobilize units in the Old City and all public places and public events," he said. "What is unique this year is that Passover and Easter are happening at the same time." (Read more)
2. ISIS Rockets from Sinai hit southern Israel on Eve of Passover - World Israel News
A greenhouse was damaged but there were no injuries when ISIS rockets slammed into southern Israel on Passover eve.
Authorities are prohibiting citizens from entering the Sinai Peninsula.

3. Citing 'concrete intel' of terror threat, minister urges Israelis to bolt Sinai - Times of Israel
Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz on Monday said a decision to shutter the main border crossing between Israel and Egypt, along with an urgent call for Israeli tourists to immediately return from vacations in Sinai, was based on sound information about an imminent terror attack by jihadists.
Earlier, in a highly unusual move, the Transportation Ministry shut down the Taba Crossing to Israelis trying to enter Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
Israelis currently in the Sinai Peninsula will still be able to return from Egypt - and are being encouraged to do so immediately by the ministry. (Read more)
4. PM: The world must unite, combat terrorism everywhere - Israel Hayom
"The world must unite and combat terrorism everywhere," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday following twin Islamic State terrorist attacks on two Coptic churches in the northern Egyptian cities of Tanta and Alexandria that killed 44 people and wounded 126.
Netanyahu sent his condolences to the Egyptian public and the victims' families, and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely also extended her condolences to Egypt, saying, "The terrorist attacks against the Coptic church in Egypt reminds us that it [Egypt] is also under terrorist attack. Alongside the sadness and pain, we must join forces and fight against the axis of evil and terrorism with an iron fist." (Read more)
5. Israel examining option of bringing in children injured in Syrian chemical attack - Jerusalem Online
Yesterday (Sunday), the Israeli Security Cabinet discussed the possibility of bringing in children who were injured in Syria's chemical attack to receive treatment. At the moment, no official decision has yet been made and it is unclear how the move will take place. Approximately 150 people were killed and hundreds were injured in the chemical attack.
Meanwhile, the diplomatic battles between the US and Russia continue. Despite the criticism from Moscow, U.S. President Donald Trump told Congress on Saturday night that America is prepared to take further military action in Syria if necessary. (Read more)
6. Mostly mum on chemical attack, Israel's Arab MKs divided on Assad - Times of Israel
The six days since first reports of a deadly chemical attack on the Syrian province of Idlib have seen a range of responses from Israel's political players, but most of them only differing in the level of outrage, the immediacy of their calls for action, and the passion of their support for US air strikes.
An exception, however, is the Joint (Arab) List. This 13-member amalgamation of convenience of four very different Arab-led factions has not condemned the gas attack, and members of one of its constituent factions, Hadash, have expressed some support for the regime of President Bashar Assad.
According to a Haaretz report Sunday, the Joint List had prepared a statement condemning the attack, but it was vetoed by the Hadash faction. (Read more)
7. Barak blasts the government - Israel National News
Former Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Sunday blasted the government of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, warning that it was leading towards a reality of one state with an Arab majority.
Speaking in an interview on Israel's Channel 10, Barak spoke of his failed attempts to reach an agreement with the Palestinian Authority in 2000, when he made then-PA chairman Yasser Arafat a groundbreaking offer which Arafat refused and then proceeded to start a terror war against Israel. 8. US envoy to UN to shift Security Council's focus away from Israel - Israel Hayom
U.S. envoy to U.N. Nikki Haley says she will focus debate scheduled for April 20 on issues such as Iran's support of terrorism, Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah * "We are changing the rules of the game," says Israel's U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon.
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley announced that when she assumes the presidency of the U.S. Security Council for April, she will shift the council's attention away from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and turn its focus on other important issues in the Middle East that have been neglected in recent years.
The former South Carolina governor said in a statement, "So much has been put towards Israel and the Palestinian Authority and not enough has been put towards some of the other issues."
Each month a member of the 15-country Security Council takes up the post as president of the agency. (Read more)

Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
1. Neil M. Gorsuch sworn in as 113th Supreme Court justice - Washington Post
Colorado appeals court judge Neil M. Gorsuch took his oaths to be the Supreme Court's 113th justice Monday morning, first in a private ceremony at the court and later at a Rose Garden ceremony with the man who nominated him, President Trump.
At the first event, in a grand room inside the Supreme Court, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. administered the oath that all federal employees take. The other justices and most of their spouses were on hand, as well as Maureen Scalia and Eugene Scalia, the widow and son of the justice Gorsuch is replacing, Antonin Scalia.
Gorsuch's wife, Louise, held a family Bible, and his daughters, Emma and Belinda, looked on.
On a sunny spring day in the White House Rose Garden, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, for whom the 49-year-old Gorsuch once served as a clerk, led him through a second oath that justices take to impartially interpret the laws "and do equal right to the poor and to the rich." (Read more)
- Father, we thank You that Justice Gorsuch can now take his seat on the United States Supreme Court. We ask You, Abba, to lead, guide and direct him in every decision he must now make on this Court, in Your name, amen.
- "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (Psalm 32:8)
2. Two adults dead, two children wounded in elementary school murder-suicide shooting - Fox11 News
An apparent murder-suicide inside an elementary school classroom in San Bernardino left two adults dead, including a teacher, and two students wounded, police and school officials said . . . Two students were airlifted to a hospital after what's believed to be a domestic dispute, San Bernardino City Unified School District spokeswoman Maria Garcia told news station news media outlets. Their conditions were not immediately known, police said. "We believe the teacher knew who the shooter was," she said.
She said all other students were safe and they were being taken to a local college campus. Aerial footage showed students gathered on a field and a blacktop basketball court inside the fenced-in grounds of the campus as school buses lined up. (Read more)
Update: We now know that two students were wounded in the shooting. One of them, identified as 8-year-old Jonathan Martinez, was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other injured student, aged 9, was in stable condition.
- Lord, we pray for the children who were harmed in this incident, and for all the families of those who survived. Let Your Spirit bring comfort to their hearts. We pray especially for the parents of little Jonathan Martinez tonight. Comfort them, O Lord, we pray, amen.
- "Yea thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
3. WISCONSIN: Joseph Jakubowski manhunt: Schools on alert as police step up search - Fox News
The manhunt for a suspect accused of stealing firearms from a gun store and writing a 161-page manifesto to President Trump put many Wisconsin schools on alert Monday amid the frantic search.
In the manifesto from Joseph Jakubowski, 32, he threatened to unleash his stolen weapons on schools and public officials, as well as expressing anti-religious views, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office.
The robbery unfolded last Tuesday at the Armageddon Gun Shop in Janesville, about 70 miles southwest of Milwaukee. About 30 minutes later, police found Jakubowski's car on fire nearby -- showing evidence of arson, Cmdr. Troy Knudson told Fox 6.
Police increased patrols near Janesville churches on Sunday, although investigators said there was no specific threat. (Read more)
- Lord we pray that this man wll be caught swiftly, and that no one will be harmed by him.
- "Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty me. For they speak against You wickedly." (Psalm 139:19b,20a)
4. Members of Congress Respond to 'Free-Thinking' Atheists' Complaint - Charisma News
In a letter to Col. James P. Ryan, commanding officer of the 157th Air Refueling Wing based at Pease Air National Guard Base in New Hampshire, the bicameral group of congressmen and senators wrote of their support for his decision to maintain the chaplains' prayers at all military ceremonies. It states (in part): "In today's culture in which religious freedom is under attack, we want you to know that your positive decision has not gone unnoticed. We look forward to working with you to protect the right to religious freedom for our service members and chaplains."
The letter was the product of a joint effort by Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) and Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and was signed by 15 of their colleagues in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. Collins, a member of the Air Force Reserve, is the only military chaplain currently serving in Congress. (Read more)
- Lord we praise You for Colonel Ryan's action to preserve prayers at military functions. We ask that it would be established across all branches of the military to preserve freedom of religion that has come under fire in recent years.
- "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)
5. Robert Bentley: Alabama governor resigns over sex scandal - Fox News
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley resigned Monday amid allegations he used state money to help cover up an affair with a top aide. Bentley stepped down as part of a plea deal that saw him admit to two misdemeanor campaign and ethics charges. The 74-year-old grandfather of six was given a 30-day suspended jail sentence and a year of probation. The agreement includes provisions that Bentley not seek elected office again, that he repay campaign funds totaling $36,912 within a week and perform 100 hours of community service as a physician. - Father, as sin continues to run rampant throughout the nation, we can only fall on our knees and beg for mercy. Lord we must have the plentiful rain of Your Holy Spirit to change the hearts of all of us, including and especially our leaders.

6. Trump sued for not releasing White House visitor logs - The Hill
Three organizations are suing the Trump administration for not making public the logs that show who is visiting the White House.
The National Security Archive, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University have all filed a suit under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) calling for the release of the logs.
The suit has formally been filed against the Department of Homeland Security, as the organizations say the Secret Service has not provided the log information despite FOIA requests. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that if it is Your will to release this information, it would be done. If there is a good reason not to divulge it, then we pray this lawsuit would be dropped.
- "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established."
(Proverbs 16:3)
7. Urgent warning for Christians to help Trump beat Obama's shadow government - WND
Barack Obama may have left office on Jan. 20, but he didn't go far - only two miles to the Kalorama neighborhood of northwest Washington, D.C., where his family lives with former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, who moved into his 8,200-square-foot $5.3 million mansion. There, she reportedly convinced him to lead the opposition to his successor, Donald Trump.
Instead of stepping out of the picture, as have most former presidents, Obama has set up a sort of shadow government to protect his legacy and undermine Trump. And former U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., is warning American Christians to come up with their own plan to counter Barack and Michelle Obama's subversion.
"They plan to continue, without skipping a beat, their agenda of radically transforming the United States," Bachmann told host Jan Markell on a recent episode of "Understanding the Times Radio." "We need to recognize that they have a strategy, but we need to have a strategy, too, and our strategy is to live in the light of the gospel and to radically transform this country and the world toward the gospel with the freeing, liberating power of Jesus Christ." (Read more)
- Lord, we pray against the thoughts and actions of this shadow government, and ask that You thwart every plan to destroy the President.
- "For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth." (Psalm 37:9)
8. Korea crisis deepens as the US dispatches the Carl Vinson strike group to the region - Navy Times
The head of all U.S. forces in the Pacific canceled a planned carrier exercises and port visits in Australia and redirected the Carl Vinson carrier strike group to the waters off the Korean Peninsula as the U.S. weighs a series of limited options for dealing with an increasingly unbalanced and dangerous North Korean regime.
In a release Saturday afternoon, U.S. Pacific Command announced the cancellation and redeployment of Vinson. Announcing carrier movements in advance is rare, and generally done to send a clear message. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for Your Mighty protection to be like a canopy over our Navy and their mission. Let the message of their presence in the region be a wake up call to the leader of North Korea. We also pray for his mind and heart to be changed.
- "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26)
9. China 'deploys 150,000 troops to deal with possible North Korean refugees over fears Trump may strike Kim Jong-un following missile attack on Syria'- Daily Mail
The Chinese army has deployed 150,000 troops to the North Korean border to prepare for pre-emptive attacks after the United States dropped airstrikes on Syria. President Donald Trump's missile strike on Syria on Friday was widely interpreted as a warning to North Korea.
And now China, left shocked by the air strikes, has deployed medical and backup units from the People's Liberation Army forces to the Yalu River, Korea's Chosun.com reported.
The troops have been dispatched to handle North Korean refugees and 'unforeseen circumstances', such as the prospect of preemptive attacks on North Korea, the news agency said. (Read more)
- Lord, we don't know the real reason China has deployed troops to the North Korean border, but we speak shalom peace to that region. We take authority over the actions of Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, and bind him up in the Name of Jesus and by the Blood of the Lamb.
- "Why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing?" (Psalm 2:1)
10. Reeling from bombs, Egypt deploys guards, declares 3-month emergency- Times of Israel
Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sissi ordered military deployments to protect "vital and important infrastructure," and declared a three-month state of emergency after Islamic State group bombings hit two churches on Sunday, killing dozens of people.
President Sissi . . . has decided to order the military to deploy protection units to guard vital and important infrastructure in all the republic's provinces," a statement from the presidency said.
Sissi announced the "state of emergency for three months" in a defiant speech at the presidential palace after a meeting of the national defence council. (Read more)
- Lord we pray that Al-Sissi will be convicted in his heart to also guard Christian churches, not just "infrastructure." We ask You for angelic protection over Your people in that nation, and help them to rebuild their lives after such a tragedy. We pray for a Mighty Move of Your Spirit through all of Egypt.
"In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the lan of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. And it will be for a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them."
(Isaiah 19:19-20)
11. Tillerson, G7 ministers look to pressure Russia to reconsider Assad support - Fox News
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, along with six other Group of Seven foreign ministers, aims to send Russia a "clear and coordinated message" in the wake of the U.S.' response to a gas attack in Syria that left scores dead.
Tillerson, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and the other ministers aim to pressure Russia to end its support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad after a tumultuous week, which included the nerve gas attack and the U.S.' airstrikes on a Syrian air base.
The U.S. received broad support from Europe after the airstrikes. Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano, who is hosting the meeting, said the missile strike contributed to a "renewed harmony" between the U.S. and its partners ahead of the first meeting of G7 foreign ministers since President Trump took office. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that these efforts to get Russia to reconsider its support for Assad will work. We thank you that the effort is being made, and place our trust in You alone to work out an answer.
- "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)

Trump move in Syria stirs prophetic clock
President Donald Trump flexed US muscle last week by bombing a Syrian airfield in retaliation of Syria using chemical weapons on its own people. Trump said, "On Tuesday, Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad launched a horrible chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians. Using a deadly nerve agent, Assad choked out the lives of helpless men, women, and children. It was a slow and brutal death for so many. Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered in this very barbaric attack. No child of God should ever suffer such horror." Trump sent a strong message that the US is no longer a nation to turn a blind eye to unjust human suffering. He also may have moved the prophetic clock ahead.
Russia and Iran have issued a joint statement threatening military action with any further provocations of Syria. The statement read: "What America waged in an aggression on Syria is a crossing of red lines. From now on we will respond with force to any aggressor or any breach of red lines from whoever it is and America knows our ability to respond well." This is not only Russia, but also Iran, with whom the ex "president" signed a nuclear treaty that essentially enabled the terrorist sponsoring nation to produce nuclear weapons in the future. Syria is a vassal state of Iran. It has a protection agreement with Iran. Russia has deep trade and political relations with both Syria and Iran and supplies weapons to both.

Neither the US nor Russia are mentioned in these scriptures. We know, however, that both the US and Russia have been key players in the unfolding of prophecy toward Israel during modern history. America traditionally has been a supporter of Israel (with exception of the immediate-past two presidents) and Russia has traditionally supported the enemies of Israel. Israel praised Trump's actions against Syria, which drew a response from Russia's Vladimir Putin that Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should refrain from making unfounded accusations. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry of a key player in the Ezekiel prophecy, Turkey, confirmed that sarin gas was used on Syrian citizens. Indeed, a stirring of prophetic end time players.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

The Persecuted Church

Classic Hymns:
BEHOLD THE GLORIES OF THE LAMB
"Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)
"Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)
Lyrics
Behold the glories of the Lamb Amidst His Father's throne. Prepare new honors for His Name, And songs before unknown.
Let elders worship at His feet, The Church adore around, With vials full of odors sweet, And harps of sweeter sound.
Those are the prayers of the saints, And these the hymns they raise; Jesus is kind to our complaints, He loves to hear our praise.
Eternal Father, who shall look Into Thy secret will? Who but the Son should take that Book And open every seal?
He shall fulfill Thy great decrees, The Son deserves it well; Lo, in His hand the sovereign keys Of Heav'n, and death, and hell!
Now to the Lamb that once was slain Be endless blessings paid; Salvation, glory, joy remain Forever on Thy head.
Thou hast redeemed our souls with blood, Hast set the prisoner free; Hast made us kings and priests to God, And we shall reign with Thee.
The worlds of nature and of grace Are put beneath Thy power; Then shorten these delaying days, And bring the promised hour.

About the Author:
Words: Isaac Watts, 1688
Music: Hugh Wilson, 1800
About the hymn:
In a lengthy discussion with his father, Isaac argued that singing only the Psalms in church made them miss much important New Testament truth. Once his congregation was convinced of what Isaac was saying, he began turning out a new hymn a week. But this one is the very first, making the words "Prepare new honors for His Name, and songs before unknown" especially meaningful. This hymn also reveals Watts' amazing breadth of biblical knowledge (he was only a teenager at the time); there are allusions to many Scripture passages.
Signs and Wonders
In New Zealand: Cyclone Cook
Flood-stricken Bay of Plenty in line for wet weather double punch under latest models
Cyclone Cook could be about to bring more heartache to flood-devastated parts of the country.
The category 3 cyclone was early this morning just south of New Caledonia, where it passed overnight and, according to overseas media, injured four and left thousands without power.
Cyclone tracks are changeable, but the latest models put eastern parts of the country in its path late this week - including a direct track over the East Cape.
Metservice meteorologist Brian Mercer said models were "starting to come together" for the cyclone.
"The track can change but we are currently expecting it will be just north of the Bay of Plenty midnight Thursday, then we expect it to move across the East Cape and then down the [North Island] East Coast and the East Coast of the South Island."
It was too early for numbers, but there was the potential for heavy rain and severe gales, Mercer said. Severe gales are winds exceeding 76 kilometres an hour.
The latest models are not good news for those living in Eastern Bay of Plenty, where many residents of the flooded town of Edgecumbe remain unable to return home, and others living in rural areas are still cut off.
The Chatham islands is also at risk from the cyclone's impact, with severe north-easterly gales between late Thursday and Saturday, Mercer said. (New Zealand Herald) Read more.

Quotes From Jesus Will be Featured on City Buses
"In the wake of the Westminster attacks it is clear that hope, or to be precise the lack of hope, is becoming an issue in this generation. We think the Bible has a lot say about hope and our vision for this campaign is to influence the hearts, minds and perceptions of this generation, to offer them hope and faith for a better future." - Howard Conder, Quote Jesus
(London, England) - [Assist News Service] A major new campaign that will use London buses to advertise the words of Jesus goes live this Easter. Instead of the regular adverts enticing people to enjoy London's latest show or sample the latest sportswear, this Easter, London's trademark Routemaster "Boris" buses will feature the words of Jesus. Organizers believe the campaign can influence hearts, minds and perceptions, and offer people today a glimpse of hope and belief for a better future.
