GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL
Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!
In the skies over Israel recently, a day of stabbings and terror in Israel -- above Nahariya -- the sun shone through the clouds. It made the shape of "Chai" -- the Hebrew symbol for Life.
The enemies of Israel wish for death. Yet Israel survives because Israel receives life from the God of Israel.
Am Yisrael Chai!
> > > Please note that "Am Yisrael Chai" are the same words that PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in Hebrew in his fiery warning to the members of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
1. Israel hints at air force cooperation with Jordan, Egypt - Reuters
Israeli fighter pilots recently trained with Arab counterparts in the United States, Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon said on Tuesday, referring to a joint exercise that a U.S. official described as involving Jordanian planes.
The remarks by Yaalon followed Israel's disclosure that its air force helped locate a Russian passenger plane that crashed in the Egyptian Sinai on Saturday - both rare departures from a policy of keeping Israeli-Arab military cooperation under wraps.

2. Jordanian combat pilots flew with Israel counterparts in recent US exercise - Times of Israel
Jordanian fighter pilots trained closely with their Israeli counterparts at a US-hosted air force exercise this summer, an American official said, in a rare acknowledgment of intimate military cooperation between the Jewish state and its Arab neighbor to the east.
The US official's comments, reported by Reuters on Tuesday, came as Israel's Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon more vaguely confirmed the cooperation. Ya'alon said in a speech Tuesday that Israeli pilots trained with unspecified Arab pilots in the course of July's "Red Flag," the latest in a series of joint combat training exercises frequently hosted by the US in Alaska.
Egypt is known to have participated in previous "Red Flag" exercises; Jordan is not.

3. Azerbaijan: Israel's secret Muslim friend -Jerusalem Post
Azerbaijan went to the polls earlier in the week in an event that was shunned by both the country's main opposition parties and even by international election monitors. One exception was a group of several Israeli politicians who flew into the oil rich nation to observe the proceedings. Although this is unlikely to improve the poll's credibility it does demonstrate the intimacy of the relationship between the Jewish state and its closest Muslim ally, experts said.
Location explains Azerbaijan's standing in the world. Situated on the oil rich Caspian Sea, the state is wooed by Western governments seeking an alternative to Russia as a source of energy imports. Israel is one such customer and in return sells large quantities of sophisticated weaponry to Azerbaijan, partly in exchange for oil.

4. 2,000-year-old Maccabean-era fortress unearthed in Jerusalem after century-long search - Times of Israel
In what archaeologists are describing as "a solution to one of the great archaeological riddles in the history of Jerusalem," researchers with the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Tuesday that they have found the remnants of a fortress used by the Seleucid Greek king Antiochus Epiphanes in his siege of Jerusalem in 168 BCE.
A section of fortification was discovered under the Givati parking lot in the City of David south of the Old City walls and the Temple Mount. The fortification is believed to have been part of a system of defenses known as the Acra fortress, built by Antiochus as he sought to quell a Jewish priestly rebellion centered on the Temple.

5. Al-Qaida leader praises stabbing attacks in Israel, offers plan to 'liberate Palestine' - Jerusalem Post
Al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri released a new audio message yesterday titled "To Unite for the Liberation of Jerusalem," criticizing Israel's "attacks against the al-Aksa Mosque" and calling for more attacks against Israel and the West.
In the message, Zawahri said that "Muslims around the world have learned about the Jewish attacks on the Blessed al-Aksa Mosque." He praised the stabbing attacks carried out by Palestinians against "the Jews," especially those who plotted attacks knowing they would be killed.
Yet rather than concentrating on attacks against Israel, the al-Qaida leader offered a more large-scale approach to "liberating Palestine."

6. EU ambassador: 'Territory beyond the Green Line is not part of Israel,' defends settlement labeling - Jerusalem Post
Products produced over the pre-1967 lines are not "made in Israel" and cannot be labeled that way, European Union Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen said on Tuesday.
He spoke to The Jerusalem Post in defense of the pending publication of guidelines to enable member states to place consumer labels on exports from east Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Golan Heights.
"The EU position is that we do not recognize Israeli authority beyond the Green Line. It is not part of Israel. It is not part of what we understand to be Israel's international recognized borders," said Faaborg-Andersen in a telephone interview.

1. Billions in tax $$ at risk, thousands scramble for coverage as co-ops fail - Fox News
Lawmakers sound alarm over failing ObamaCare co-ops
Congressional lawmakers are raising alarm over the rapid collapse of several so-called ObamaCare "co-ops" -- government-backed alternative health plans -- that are failing, leaving tens of thousands of customers scrambling for coverage, and billions in taxpayer-funded startup loans at risk. To date, nearly half of the 23 co-ops established under the Affordable Care Act have gone or are expected to go under by the end of the year. The latest to be barred from selling insurance on the official marketplace is in Arizona.
In a letter to the head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., pressed the Obama administration for answers on what is being done to address the crisis -- and recoup some of the federal taxpayer loan money that has gone to the failing start-ups.
The senators said nearly 870,000 people nationwide have enrolled in the co-ops, and noted they originally were intended to boost competition and provide more affordable options. "The CO-OPs are not living up to these expectations," they wrote. "To date, eleven ACA CO-Ops -- in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, New York, Nevada, Tennessee, Oregon, South Carolina and Utah -- have collapsed. "As a result, hundreds of thousands of Americans will lose their health insurance plans and will have to scramble to find new plans, most likely with higher premiums and deductibles." (Read more)
- Father, we pray You provide answers to this problem. We continue to pray that a better solution will present itself in regards to Obamacare. We pray for all those who will have to scramble to find new plans. Provide their every need, in Jesus name.
- I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.(Psalm 81:10)
2. Obama issues executive order that keeps notice of criminal record off federal job applications - Fox News
President Obama on Monday announced a new executive order that prevents federal agencies from making job-applicants reveal they have a criminal record as part of his overall criminal justice reform effort. The so-called "drop the box" initiative would allow prospective employees not to check a box on some federal applications that acknowledges a criminal record.
"It is relevant to find out if somebody has a criminal record," Obama said at an event in Newark, N.J. "I'm not suggesting ignore it. I'm suggesting that when it comes to applications, give folks a chance to get through the door." (Read more)
- Father, this is not something to ignore. Companies need protection, and need to know the background of who they are hiring. Give wisdom and discretion. Block this executive decision.
- Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. (Proverbs 2:11)
3. Leaked DHS memo shows Obama might circumvent DAPA injunction - The Hill
A newly leaked internal DHS memorandum produced for an off-the-record agency conclave reveals that the Obama administration is actively planning to circumvent a federal court injunction that suspended part of last November's deferral-based amnesty initiative. The document, apparently prepared as follow-up from a DHS "Regulations Retreat" last summer, appears sure to re-ignite concerns in Congress as well as federal judges in the Fifth Circuit.
The Administration has already been criticized from the bench for handing out work permits to hundreds of thousands of deferred action beneficiaries, in direct violation of a district court's order. With the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals deciding any day now whether to deny the Administration's request to reverse that injunction, this public leak has come at a critical juncture for U.S. enforcement policy. (Read more)
- Father, block all actions of our government that will try and work around the federal court injunction. May this administration be held accountable for all actions that circumvent the law.
- Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. (Romans 13:1-5)
4. Paul Ryan: We Fully Expect to Exercise the Power of the Purse - CNSNews.com
In the wake of the two-year budget deal the former House Speaker John Boehner negotiated with the Obama White House, Congress still needs to enact appropriations legislation to keep the government funded after the current continuing resolution expires on Dec. 11. "We have a tough deadline, Dec. 11," said Ryan. "We've got not a lot of time between now and then, so we're going to have to put together appropriations. But this is the Legislative Branch, and the power of the purse rests within the Legislative Branch, and we fully expect we're going to exercise that power." (Read more)
- Abba Father, we bring Speaker Paul Ryan before You and ask that You would direct him and protect him. May he be a righteous leader and not be influenced by those who have an agenda to destroy America. Abba, we ask that You would enlighten him with ideas that are pleasing to You and good for our country. In Your Name we pray, Amen.
- "For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him." (Genesis 18:19)
5. TSA Security layers at US airports 'simply missing,' probe finds - Fox News
A federal watchdog told Congress on Tuesday that a recent covert audit of U.S. airports found layers of security were "simply missing," in the latest undercover investigation to expose gaps in Transportation Security Administration procedures.
The findings were revealed by Department of Homeland Security Inspector General John Roth during a House hearing on TSA problems where new Administrator Peter Neffenger also testified on what he's doing to fix them.
Roth said the tests by federal auditors found "troubling" problems related to technology, procedures and human error at security checkpoints. He said the findings were "consistent across every airport." However, he also said new TSA leadership promptly began addressing some of the issues and he is optimistic about airport security being improved. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for tight airport security. Give wisdom and ideas to fix the gaps in the security at airports across our nation. Our security needs to be top-notch -considering the times we live in- with continuous terrorism threats.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the [a]defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?(Psalm 27:1)
6. Rev. Graham: Obama Promotes Abortion, Homosexuality - He Is 'Taking a Stand Against God' - CNSNews.com
During a trip to Moscow last week where he participated in a forum on the persecution of Christians, Rev. Franklin Graham said that President Barack Obama supports abortion, homosexuality, and gay marriage, which are "sins against God," and that Obama is "taking a stand against God."
In an Oct. 30 interview with the Moskoviskij Komsomolets newspaper, Rev. Graham was asked, "I heard that you called Barack Obama 'the leader of the anti-Christ movement.' Is that true? What do you think about the current president of the United States?" Rev. Graham, the son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham, said, "I have met the president on several occasions. He's a very nice person. But he supports and promotes policies that contradict the teachings of God." (Read more)
- Abba Father, bless Rev. Graham for telling the truth. Abba, we ask that You would awaken the Body of Christ that resides in America. Remove the veil from their eyes and the plugs out of their ears. Lord may the Body of Christ awaken and arise and stop supporting the evil Progressive Agenda and its stand against You. May the righteous saints arise and take a stand for Christ! In Your Name we pray, Amen
- "You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned." (Deuteronomy 7:26)
7. DNI Clapper on ISIS' Ability to Shoot Down an Airliner: 'Unlikely, But I Wouldn't Rule It Out' - CNSNews.com
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Monday it was "unlikely" that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL) would have the capability of shooting down an airliner, "but I wouldn't rule it out. We don't have any direct evidence of any terrorist involvement, yet," he said at the Defense One Summit in Washington.
All 224 people aboard the Russian MetroJet flight were killed when the Airbus A321-200, in the words of Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, "came apart in the sky" 23 minutes after taking off from Sharm el-Sheikh on a flight to St. Petersburg on Saturday.
Clapper noted that an ISIS affiliate had posted a tweet claiming responsibility. "There is a very aggressive ISIL chapter in the Sinai, but we really don't know and I think once the black boxes have been analyzed - which they've recovered - then perhaps we'll know more." (Read more)
- Abba Father, we pray that the cause of this airplane disaster be identified quickly. We pray that the truth would come out. We ask that the truth not be colored by the political or economic needs of Russia or Egypt. We ask for Your protection for all airplanes that fly over this desert from ISIS or any other jihadists. Abba, we also pray for all those who have lost loved ones. Comfort them as only You can. In Your Name we pray, Amen.
- "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him." (Daniel 2:22)
8. World Powers Agree on UN Plan for Syria - Voice of America
World powers involved in talks on Syria's political future have agreed to a U.N.-led process that involves talks between the Syrian government and opposition and also to explore a cease-fire that would still allow strikes against terrorist groups.
The plans were outlined in a Friday news conference held by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.N. Special Envoy Staffan De Mistura.
It followed a seven-hour meeting, on Syria, that included diplomats from the 17 countries, plus the United Nations and European Union. Officials said the group agreed to meet again within two weeks. (Read more)
- Father, give these leaders a plan that will stop the violence in Syria, and stop the terrorist groups operating there. We continue to pray for all Christians living in these war torn places. Provide, protect, and deliver them from all their distresses.
- [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.(Psalm 34:17)
9. The White House is preparing for catastrophic solar flares - Fox News
If a giant solar flare hit the Earth, it could knock out the entire power grid, meaning no more new Justin Bieber singles, no more televised presidential debates, and no more Facebook photos of babies. But it wouldn't be all good news. The Washington Post reports the electromagnetic pulse-or EMP-created by such an event could wipe out electricity for months on end, creating a global catastrophe.
That's why the White House released its National Space Weather Strategy on Thursday. According to the Houston Chronicle, the multiagency plan details how the US will prepare for-and deal with-a massive EMP from space weather. The six-step plan requires government agencies, schools, the media, the insurance industry, nonprofits, and more to work together. In other words: We might be doomed. (Read more)
- Abba Father, You are the one who decides what happens on earth and in the heavens. We have no fear because You are the One who makes these decisions and You are in control. We pray that according to Your plan the president and his administration prepare for such a catastrophe should You allow it. In His Name we pray, Amen.
- "I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19)
10. Vladimir Putin commands Russian security council to stockpile nuclear protective equipment - The Independent UK
President says country must be prepared for threats 'both in peacetime, and - God forbid . . . in wartime'
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his security council to assess Russia's readiness to survive a nuclear, chemical or biological disaster and has told them to stockpile protective equipment if necessary. The order was given during one of Putin's regular meetings with the council that is made up of the heads of Russia's intelligence, defence and law enforcement agencies. High-ranking ministers and the speaker of the Russian house of parliament are also permanent members of the group. (Read more)
- Abba Father, President Putin is looking out for the welfare of his people. We pray that You enlighten him in the way that he should proceed. We ask that our government would do the same forAmerica. We are all under the threat of attacks from fringe groups all over the world such as Korea, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and maybe even China. We recognize that You are our Protector, but we ask for enlightenment for the American government in this area. In Your Name we pray, Amen.
- "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (Psalm 32:8)

Rosh, Russia, Chief and Bible Translations
As Russia has entered the fray in Syria and Christians are being martyred by Islamists, many disagree about whether Russia is named as the leader of the Ezekiel 38 coalition against Israel in a colossal end time battle. The nations mentioned in the Bible that come against Israel, however, are Middle Eastern. Ezekiel 38:2 identifies the leader that will bring Middle Eastern, currently mostly Islamic, nations against Israel: "Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him." Magog, Meshech, and Tubal were all located in Turkey (directly North of Israel) at the time of Ezekiel's prophecy.
Bible scholars are divided over the use of the word "Rosh" in the Hebrew translation, which always is the Hebrew word for "Chief." Some "Scholars" insist Rosh is a people group. In attempting to connect Russia to this particular prophecy, some suggest that the Scythians, a nomadic people, settled in parts of what are now Russia, thus becoming the "Russian" connection. In the context of the scriptures, there is yet another clue. In Revelation 2:13, Jesus tells us that Pergamos is "where Satan's seat is." Pergamos is in Turkey, not Russia. The "Beast" of the end times is referred to in several places in the the Bible as the Assyrian, an empire that once controlled many of these prophetic locations in Turkey, but not Russia.
This controversy is further flamed by interpretations of the Bible. The King James Version translates the word "Rosh" as "Chief." As does the King James 2000, American King James, New International Version, New Living Translation, English Standard Version, Holman Christian Standard Version, International Standard Version, NET Bible, God's Word Translation, JPS Tanakh 1917, Jubilee Bible 2000, and Webster's Bible Translation. Those who changed the translation to "prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal" include: The New King James Version, Young's Literal Translation, World English Bible, English Revised Version, Darby Bible Translation, and the American and New American Standard Versions.
There is no doubt that Russia plays a role. It is a traditional supplier of weapons to Israel's enemies; it blocks most UN actions against Israel's enemies. In fact, Russia voted for Israel's right to exist at the UN in 1948, then it supplied the advisors and military equipment to the nations that immediately attacked her. But as far as Biblical proof that Russia is leading the Ezekiel 38 attack, it is speculation. Turkey, however, is extremely significant and once was the home of the most antichrist political and religious system on earth, the Islamic Caliphate--the Ottoman Empire. Jesus warns in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Study the word for yourself that you may discern these times. It is important.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Blumenthal, Ayotte, Bipartisan Group of Senators Introduce Resolution in Solidarity with Israel,
Condem Palestinian Terror Attacks
Ten Israelis Have Been Killed and 135 Wounded This Month Because of Scores of Attacks by Palestinians Armed with Knives, Meat Cleavers, Guns, and Cars
(Washington, DC) - Today, U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), along with Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and John Cornyn (R-Texas), will introduce a bipartisan resolution in the U.S. Senate in solidarity with Israel - condemning Palestinian terrorist attacks, and reaffirming support for Israel's commitment to maintaining the status quo on the Temple Mount.
Since the beginning of October, conflict between Israel and Palestine has drastically escalated, with Palestinian terror attacks wounding, and killing, innocent Israeli civilians. Two Americans have been killed in these gruesome attacks, including Richard Lakin, who was a Glastonbury, Connecticut elementary school principal and civil rights activist before moving to Israel in 1984.
"I stand with Israel in defending itself against these tragic and indiscriminate Palestinian terror attacks against Israeli citizens," said Blumenthal. "This bipartisan resolution expresses the clear and unequivocal need to bolster Israel's security, hold the Palestinian Authority accountable for incitement, and stem this tide of visceral violence. Repeated reprehensible attacks on innocent Israeli civilians follow President Abbas' dangerous disavowal of commitments made during the peace process. These attacks must be stopped."
"Israel, our closest and most reliable friend and ally in the Middle East, has the right to defend its people against terrorism, and we condemn the incitement by Palestinian leaders that has encouraged these gruesome attacks against Israelis. These attacks have demonstrated yet again the courage of the Israeli people and the moral depravity of terrorists who deliberately seek to take innocent life," said Ayotte. FRC Action Praises Defeat of Houston's Bathroom Ordinance
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, voters in Houston, Texas overwhelmingly rejected the city's Proposition 1, which would have allowed any man or woman to use any bathroom based on a chosen "gender identity." The measure raised serious privacy concerns and threatened Houstonians with punishing fines for following their deeply held religious beliefs regarding sexuality.
A digital ad campaign by FRC Action's Super PAC, the Faith Family Freedom Fund, was seen by nearly 300,000 Houston residents in recent weeks. Last year, Family Research Council (FRC) organized "I Stand Sunday," a live simulcast featuring Christian leaders including FRC President Tony Perkins, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Dr. Ronnie Floyd, Dr. Rick Scarborough, and the Houston pastors whose sermons were subpoenaed by the city's mayor. Nearly 7,000 people were in attendance at the host church, Grace Community Church in Houston. Additionally, 765 churches and nearly 3,000 home groups tuned into the event in all 50 states.
On the defeat of Houston's Prop 1, Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins commented:
"Houston has become a rallying cry for Americans tired of seeing their freedoms trampled in a politically correct stampede to redefine marriage and sexuality. Houstonians sent a message heard across the country: They will not allow the government to flush away their money, and more importantly, their values and religious liberties.
"While much of the debate focused on biological males using a woman's bathroom, many voters told us they understood this involved a lot more than bathrooms. The mayor's efforts to disenfranchise voters and subpoena pastors' sermons and private communications demonstrated this law was ultimately about silencing and even stripping away the livelihood of those who refused to yield their beliefs to this new morality. Government officials should carefully consider these election results before engaging in Mayor Parker's intimidation tactics.
"Houstonians' religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the right to petition their government have won the day, but much more work remains to be done to safeguard these freedoms across the nation. No person should be punished by the government because of their beliefs.
"We commend Houstonians for courageously standing up to political intimidation to defend their freedom to believe and the freedom to live according to those beliefs," Perkins concluded. (Family Research Council)

In Our Schools: Obama's Radical Agenda
If you thought Common Core represented radical educational policy, you will be doubly outraged by how Obama's Department of Education is pushing the boundaries on radical social policy.
Yesterday, federal education bureaucrats here in Washington informed an Illinois school district that it had violated the rights of a transgendered student. The person in question is biologically male, but mentally perceives himself as a girl and has demanded the right to use all the female facilities at his high school.
The school district did everything it could to reasonably accommodate these demands, but drew the line at the girls' locker rooms and showers. For the Obama Administration, that was not good enough. It has given the school district 30 days to surrender or lose federal funding.
Let me repeat that: The bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., are threatening to harm all the students in a school system unless the school district caves in to the extreme demands of one "transgendered" student.
I'm curious: How many parents would vote to let boys use the girls' bathrooms or showers?
As one Illinois official recently explained, "The students in our schools are teenagers, not adults. . . Boys and girls are in separate locker rooms -- where there are open changing areas and open shower facilities -- for a reason."
Our D.C. overlords evidently don't care about the privacy rights of the other female students. At this point, parents should be reaching for their proverbial pitchforks and torches.
I am dumbfounded by the passive response of many GOP leaders.
This bureaucratic overreach in service to a radical social policy is
outrageous!
It wasn't that long ago when Republicans demanded that the federal Department of Education be abolished. If there was ever a cause that justified the decentralization of power, of reining in rogue government, this is it! (Gary Bauer)

A Teacher Retires:
Young Teacher Hands In Epic Letter Announcing Her Resignation . . . Now It's Going Viral
A fed-up teacher in Florida posted her emotional resignation letter to her Facebook wall, and it quickly went viral. In the letter dated Oct. 23, Wendy Bradshaw admonished the Polk County school board for placing standardized tests over the needs of school children.
"Like many other teachers across the nation, I have become more and more disturbed by the misguided reforms taking place which are robbing my students of a developmentally appropriate education," she wrote in the post, which has since garnered over 30,000 likes and 45,000 thousand shares.
Standardized testing related to Common Core has caused controversy nationwide, and Bradshaw pointed out that the latest reforms - all of which originate with President Barack Hussein Obama and his administration - force "teachers to engage in practices" that are "harmful to child development and the learning process."
The situation has become so bad, Bradshaw wrote, that she often sees students burst into tears because of their inability "to attempt tasks well out of their zone of proximal development" - or act badly in an attempt to be labeled the "bad kid" instead of the "stupid kid."
"It is not the children who are disordered," she continued. "The disorder is in the system which requires them to attempt curriculum and demonstrate behaviors far beyond what is appropriate for their age." It is also the system that punishes teachers who dare deviate from the system and try other - and perhaps better - methods of instruction.
In an interview with local cable channel Bay News 9, Bradshaw added that she has begun receiving numerous heartfelt responses from other teachers and parents who feel the same way. "They're from parents who say, 'I see it every day - my kindergartner hates school,'" she explained.
She also wrote that she would be willing to return to teaching, but only if changes were made. For the sake of children in Polk County, we hope that happens soon. (conservativetribune.com)

Billy Graham's Warning to American Churches: 'Prepare for Persecution'
The Rev. Billy Graham has issued a written warning to America's churches: "Prepare for persecution."
The renowned preacher and founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association penned a commentary that was posted on his website last week and is slated to appear in the November edition of Decision magazine.
In the magazine, Graham notes that the American church has been largely unfamiliar with persecution, writing that this "immunity to persecution that Christians in our country have experienced in the past two or three centuries is unusual."
"As a whole, our nation does not know what privation is. We do not know what sacrifice is. We do not know what suffering is. Suppose persecution were to come to the church in America, as it has come in other countries," wrote Graham.
"Since we have experienced little religious persecution in this country, it is likely that under pressure many would deny Christ. Those who shout the loudest about their faith may surrender soonest."
Graham went on to list "five ways to fortify yourself so that you will be able to stand in that day." These included making sure of one's relationship to God, walking with God, regularly reading Scripture, praying always, and meditating on Christ.
"Today our nation ranks as the greatest power on the face of the Earth. But if we put our trust in armed might instead of Almighty God, the coming conflict could conceivably go against us," continued Graham.
"History and the Bible indicate that mechanical and material might are insufficient in times of great crisis." (Christian Post) Read more

About the Author:
Words: Carrie E. Breck, 1898.
Music: Grant C. Tullar
About the Hymn:
Grant Tullar was helping with evangelistic meetings in Rutherford, New Jersey. He, along with the pastor and his wife, did some visitation Sunday afternoon. They got back to the pastor's home rather late, and supper was rushed. Things were put on the table quickly, and everyone was invited to make his own snack.
One of the items set out was an almost empty jar of jelly. Knowing how much Tullar liked it, the pastor and his wife both passed it by. Tullar accepted their kindness with a smile, saying, "So, this is all for me, is it?" Instantly, the little phrase "all for me" gripped his thoughts. He went over to the piano and composed on the spot the now familiar tune, along with some words-"All for me the Savior suffered, all for me He bled and died . . ."
The pastor was thrilled. He asked that the song be taught to the people in the evening service. Tullar declined, saying he wanted to work on it a bit more. But that never happened.
The next day, a letter arrived from a Carrie Breck. She had written a poem, and wondered if Mr. Tullar could set it to music. To his amazement, the meter exactly fit the tune composed the evening before. The two have been together ever since.

Astronomical Events November 2015: Rare Taurid Meteor Swarm,
Leonids Shower, Full Moon, New Moon
The November sky features a rare Taurids meteor swarm and much-awaited Leonids meteor shower. The cosmic events are expected to put up a spectacular show for the astronomy enthusiasts. Here is a guide to major astronomical events taking place in November 2015 including New Moon, Full Moon and more.
Full Moon: According to Seasky.org, the Full Moon rises on Nov. 6, 2015. The event reaches its peak at 22:33 UTC and the perfectly illuminated moon will be visible from most of the places. The November Full Moon is also known as Full Beaver moon, Frosty Moon and Hunter's Moon.
New Moon: As for the New Moon, it will take place on Nov. 22, 2015. The event reaches its peak at 12:32 UTC. During this phenomena, the moon remains hidden in the sky. Thus, sky gazers and astronomy enthusiasts are advised to make the best of this opportunity to observe other celestial bodies.
Taurid Meteor Shower: According to Science Alert, south Taurid will reach its peak on Nov. 5 and 6, while North will witness the event on Nov. 11 and 12. As noted by NASA, the year 2015 will host Taurid meteor swarm, the event that occurs once-in-ten-years. During this period, the meteor shower is more active than usual and produces frequent bright meteors sometimes referred to as fireballs.
Leonids Meteor Shower: This annual shooting star event is one of the best astronomical phenomena for sky gazers to witness. It is said to be a prolific meteor shower that originates from the radiant point located in constellation Leo. It occurs due to the dust grains left by comet Tempel Tuttle that was first talked about in the year 1865.
According to Earthsky, Leonids peaks from midnight to dawn on Nov. 18, 2015. However, the best of Leonids can be observed on the mornings of Nov. 17 and 18, 2015. This shooting star event produces meteor storm every 33 years. But this year there will be no such storm and it is expected to produce 10-15 meteors per hour when at its peak as usual. "Sensational Discovery": Centuries-Old Mystery Solved in Jerusalem
(Israel)-Archaeologists believe they have uncovered the location of the Acra Fortress from the Maccabean Revolt against the Greeks in Jerusalem's City of David.
The fortress was discovered as part of archaeological excavations conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) in the Giavti parking lot at the City of David, which is part of the Jerusalem Walls National Park.
The Acra Fortress was built by Selucid Greek Emperor Antiochus Epiphanes following his Sack of Jerusalem in 168 BC. The fortress went on to a play a significant role in the Maccabean Revolt against the Selucids and was later destroyed by Simon Maccabeus in 141 BC. The location of the fortress, which was described in the Book of Maccabees as well as by Roman-Jewish historian Josephus Flavius, has eluded archaeologists for over a century.
"This sensational discovery allows us for the first time to reconstruct the layout of the settlement in the city, on the eve of the Maccabean uprising in 167 BC," Dr. Doron Ben-Ami, Yana Tchekhanovets and Salome Cohen, excavation directors on behalf of the IAA, said in a statement.
According to the archaeologists, the new finds "indicate the establishment of a well-fortified stronghold that was constructed on the high bedrock cliff overlooking the steep slopes of the City of David hill."
"This stronghold controlled all means of approach to the Temple atop the Temple Mount, and cut the Temple off from the southern parts of the city," they said.
The archaeologists noted that the Selucid-era coins and the wine jars imported from the Aegean Sea region found at the site also indicated the non-Jewish identity of the inhabitants. Additionally, sling stones, arrowheads, and ballistae stones were found as evidence of Maccabean attempts to conquer the stronghold.
