GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL

Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!

In the skies over Israel recently, a day of stabbings and terror in Israel -- above Nahariya -- the sun shone through the clouds. It made the shape of "Chai" -- the Hebrew symbol for Life.

The enemies of Israel wish for death. Yet Israel survives because Israel receives life from the God of Israel.

Am Yisrael Chai!

> > > Please note that "Am Yisrael Chai" are the same words that PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in Hebrew in his fiery warning to the members of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday, October 1, 2015.

2. Canada's Trudeau tells Netanyahu there'll be friendly ties but a 'shift in tone' - Times of Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Canada's prime minister designate, Justin Trudeau, in a telephone call affirming the friendship between the two countries.

Kate Purchase, Trudeau's spokeswoman, described the conversation as a "very positive call." Trudeau also "explained there would be a shift in tone, but Canada would continue to be a friend of Israel's," she added.

The Canadian Press (CP) wire service reported that Rafael Barak, Israel's ambassador to Canada, said the call from Netanyahu took place October 23 and left his country assured that relations between Canada and the Jewish state will remain strong after the defeat of the staunchly pro-Israel government of Stephen Harper on October 19. 3. Israel losing edge in technology 'war' with Iran, IDF intel head warns - Times of Israel

The country's top army intelligence officer has reportedly said Israel and Iran are engaged in a technological "war," with the Jewish state slowly losing its qualitative edge over the Islamic Republic.

According to a report in Haaretz, Military Intelligence Head Maj. Gen. Herzl Halevi also warned Thursday against watching video clips online of recent stabbings, saying that if the clips had been around in 1948, Israel may have lost the War of Independence.

Speaking during a private lecture at a Tel Aviv conference, Halevi said Iran's higher education system was leapfrogging Israel's, churning out more new scientists, mathematicians and engineers. (Read more)

4. IDF reportedly warns soldiers: Beware of CIA recruitment - Jerusalem Post

Channel 2 reported Sunday that the information security department, part of the IDF's intelligence force, issued a call to its officers and soldiers to beware of recruitment attempts by the CIA. The advisory called on soldiers to "be aware and report any unusual incidences."

The warning was issued to all officers and soldiers of the IDF. Attached to the warning was an article from Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot chronicling a phenomenon circa 2012 in which post-army youngsters, upon arrival in the United States, were taken in for extensive questioning by American authorities in an attempt to recruit their services.

"Every security body fears having its confidential information leaked," an Israeli security source told Channel 2. (Read more)

5. Russia backs NZ bid to restart Israel-Palestinian talks - Times of Israel

Russia said Friday that New Zealand should move forward with a draft UN resolution aimed at reviving long-stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, but Israel says it's "destructive" and the Palestinians say it's not tough enough.

The deeply divided Security Council has not adopted a resolution on the decades-old conflict in six years.

Russia's UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said Moscow has always maintained that the UN's most powerful body "should get closer involved. I think we should seriously look at it," he told reporters. "I don't see anything controversial about that text." (Read more)

- Father God, our Messiah, we bring these wicked plans before Your Throne of Grace, and we ask that You would intervene to bring these schemes to nought. By faith in the name of Jesus, Yeshua, and by the authority of His Shed Blood, we declare this to be so, amen and amen.

- "Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure-- you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts." (Psalm 7:9)

6. Dems push resolution on two-state solution in memory of Rabin - Jewish Journal

Several House and Senate Democrats are pushing for a resolution to commemorate 20 years to the November 4th anniversary of the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

The partisan resolution, introduced to the Senate by Senator Dianne Feinstein, not only commemorates the life and accomplishments of Rabin but also "recognizes and reiterates its continued support for the close ties and special relationship between the people and Governments of the United States and Israel" and "reaffirms its commitment to the process of building a just and lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on two states for two peoples, living side-by-side in peace and security." (Read more)

- Lord God, our Messiah, once again we bring the wicked and blind schemes of men before Your Throne of Grace, asking for Your mercy in time of need. We stand in the gap for our leaders as they pursue this dangerous course of action, for they know not what they do. Let not their sin fall upon our land, for there are many who live in our nation who know that the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob belongs to You, and cannot ever be divided. Forgive us, O Lord, we pray, amen and amen.

- "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

8. New US aid package may include more F-35 fighter jets for Israel - Israel Hayom

Wrapping up his two-day visit to Washington, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon took part in a joint press conference with U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter at the Pentagon on Wednesday.

"These are especially turbulent years in our region, with states collapsed and being replaced by various entities and terror organizations, many affiliated with global jihad and Islamic State, one fighting against other, glorifying death and destruction and challenging the entire U.S.-led Western world," Ya'alon said. "Some of these terror entities are founded, armed and trained by Iran, who, despite the nuclear agreement, continues . . . to view America as a great Satan and Israel as a small one." (Read more)

- Lord God. we appeal to You now as American citizens and we ask that You move upon the hearts of our leaders in Congress and the President to include funding for more of these fighter jets for Israel in our next national budget. Let our hard-earned tax monies be used for Your kingdom purposes, and to help to defend the nation of Israel. We ask this in Your name, Abba, amen.

- " . . . if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

9. Abbas hands over Israeli 'war crimes' file to ICC - israelnationalnews.com

A Palestinian Arab delegation, led by Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, on Friday met with the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hand over a file documenting alleged Israeli crimes such as "ethnic cleansing," Palestinian officials said, according to AFP.

Top Palestinian official Saeb Erakat said a 52-page dossier was to be handed over to court officials Friday. It includes details of alleged "summary executions, collective punishments, house demolitions and ethnic cleansing," Erakat said in a statement quoted by AFP. The dossier "gathers all the information on the Palestinian martyrs and their identities, the way in which they were executed, and is backed by verified photos and videos," he claimed

To Israel's fury, the Palestinians have already formally asked the ICC to investigate it for alleged war crimes during the 2014 Gaza war. (Read more)

- Father God, the world may designate this an "international court," but we know that, in Your eyes, this is merely a kangaroo court . . . full of sound and fury and signifying nothing. We decree with the court of heaven that these ludicrous charges be declared "null and void" by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, in Your name, amen and amen.

- "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains
And their nobles with fetters of iron,
To execute on them the judgment written
; This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!
(Psalm 149:6-9)

10. Ahead of International Syria Talks, Israeli Minister Elkin Meets Russian FM Lavrov to Lay Out Israel's Red Lines - algemeiner.com

Israel's Minister of Immigrant Absorption, Strategic Affairs and Jerusalem Affairs Ze'ev Elkin laid out Israel's red lines in Syria in a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Thursday, Israeli nrg news reported.

The Israeli minister, according to the report, relayed to Lavrov Israel's three main concerns: preventing the flow of weapons to the terrorist group Hezbollah, maintaining a quiet border in the Golan Heights and upholding the ban on the use of chemical weapons.

While the meeting was scheduled in advance to discuss economic issues, ultimately it ended up happening a day before Russia headed to international talks on the Syrian war on Friday and Saturday. The Israelis used Elkin's trip as a chance to lay out their concerns. (Read more)

11. Netanyahu Retracts Assertion That Palestinian Inspired Holocaust - New York Times

After more than a week of local and international condemnation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel issued a statement on Friday retracting his accusation that it was a Palestinian cleric who gave Hitler the idea of annihilating Europe's Jews during World War II.

Mr. Netanyahu, criticized even by Israeli historians for distorting facts, had already said he never intended to absolve Hitler of responsibility for the Holocaust by blaming the mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, but the new statement went further.

"The decision to move from a policy of deporting Jews to the Final Solution was made by the Nazis and was not dependent on outside influence," Mr. Netanyahu posted on Facebook, in Hebrew and English. "The Nazis saw in the Mufti a collaborator, but they did not need him to decide on the systematic destruction of European Jewry, which began in June 1941."

He went on: "Contrary to the impression that was created, I did not mean to claim that in his conversation with Hitler in November 1941 the Mufti convinced him to adopt the Final Solution. The Nazis decided on that by themselves." (Read more)

1. ISIS claims: We downed Russian airliner in 'sophisticated attack' - WND

Insiders in the group that represents ISIS in the Gaza Strip claimed to WND Sunday that the global jihadist group will soon release information purporting to show how it helped to bring down the Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt, killing all 224 people on board.

Salafist jihadists in the Gaza Strip who operate under the ISIS banner in the territory said the global jihad group was indeed involved in the downing of the aircraft Saturday morning.

They claimed it was not a missile that brought the plane down and that supposed evidence will soon be released by ISIS.

One ISIS leader in Gaza told WND that "in the Russian plane operation our brothers used their brains more than their bullets or their explosives. It was part of a brains war." (Read more)

- Lord God, only You know what really happened to that Russian airliner that fell out of the skies of Egypt on Saturday, launching 224 souls into eternity. We ask for Your comfort for the families of those who were lost, and for the TRUTH to be exposed about what really has happened here. Lord Sabaoth, God of Angel Armies, we turn to You now for angelic protection for all who will be flying in the days ahead. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle." (Psalm 24:8)

2. Putin: Global Warming 'A Fraud' - WND

Russian President Vladimir Putin believes global warming is a "fraud" - a plot to keep Russia from using its vast oil and natural gas reserves.

Putin believes "there is no global warming, that this is a fraud to restrain the industrial development of several countries, including Russia," Stanislav Belkovsky, a political analyst and Putin critic, told The New York Times.

"That is why this subject is not topical for the majority of the Russian mass media and society in general," Belkovsky said. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we lift up praise that Russian President Vladimir Putin believes: that the UN 'global warming' agenda is in reality a huge fraud and just a means to keep Russia from using its vast oil and natural gas reserves. There are many knowledgeable scientists who agree based upon their own research with his cyclical and solar based weather analysis. Help us, Father, by causing Your truth to arise and be heard, as so much money is being lost over this agenda by many countries. We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

- "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear." (Isaiah 59:1 NKJV)

3. Thousands Of Muslim Migrants Begin Disappearing Into German Cities - Now The End Begins

"They are simply not there" - thousands of Muslim refugees disappear daily from Brandenburg camps

World War III has started, and has so far been surprisingly lopsided. Islam has scored knockout after knockout from the moment they illegally crossed the German border. Now comes the news that German police are "very worried" about the nearly 10,000 Muslim migrants who left the refugee camps and have not been seen since. How ironic for the nation that started the last two world wars to be now at the receiving end of the onslaught of Islamic aggression. (Read entire article in English, here. To see the original article in German, go here.)

- Lord God, we bring this alarming news before Your Throne of Grace. We ask, Abba, that You will help the security personnel to locate and keep track of these "missing migrants." We come against the over-arching scheme of the Moslems to establish the caliphate in Europe by this wicked device, causing a tsunami of immigrants to suddenly overwhelm these countries. Grant them wisdom, O Lord, as they work to protect their own citizens from this stealth agenda of jihad. We ask this in Your name, amen.

- "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)

4. UK Will Suffer Mass Attack From Islamic State Says Intelligence Boss - Townhall

The Director General of the British intelligence service MI5 has warned the risk to the UK from terrorism is the highest he has ever seen because of Islamic State (IS) terrorists. Andrew Parker said IS was planning "mass casualty" attacks in the UK and despite having thwarted six major attacks MI5 cannot guarantee they will detect every plot.

Mr Parker said terrorists have a "greater ambition" than at any other time during his 32-year career, a period that includes some of the worst attacks from Irish Republicans. He went on say the threats had no sign of abating, but instead the country may not yet have seen the "high water mark" of the terrorists ambitions.

In his third public speech since being appointed the intelligence boss said Britain was now facing a three-pronged threat: at home, overseas and online. He also warned that Al-Qaeda had not gone away, despite the public perception that IS had replaced them. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we see this threat in the UK for jihadist attacks arising from the massive number of 'refugees' who are now arriving and who are being taken in by that nation. We can see that this danger is also very real for our nation as well. We know our nations deserve Your judgment but we cry out for mercy and direction to know how to respond to this violent threat. We cry for the protection of Your people, praying in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV)

5. Soros 'stoking refugee fires' to topple Europe - WND

George Soros, known as much around the world for his billionaire backing of pet projects as for his image as an enemy of free markets and Western-style capitalism, has been accused by Hungary's prime minister of sparking and fueling a refugee crisis that will topple Europe. Prime Minister Viktor Orban called Soros one of several "activists" trying to take down the European Union via mass immigration from Middle Eastern regions, Bloomberg reported.

Orban said, in an interview on the public radio outlet, Kossuth: "His name is perhaps the strongest example of those who support anything that weakens nation states, they support everything that changes the traditional European lifestyle. These activists who support immigrants inadvertently become part of this international human-smuggling network."

Orban has drawn the fire of liberal civil-rights groups for constructing a razor wire fence along the border and for tightening laws granting asylum to those from other nations.

Soros hails from Hungary. . . . But critics decry Soros as little more than a left-wing activist, intent on using his billions of dollars to topple governments and bring about his socialist-minded visions around the world. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, this man named George Soros has such a history of supporting agendas and groups which are destructive for so many nations and their people's lives. We ask that this man be redeemed if possible but that You will act to hold him accountable for all that he has done and continues to do to harm and destroy. We pray this in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked; for there will be no prospect for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out." (Proverbs 24:19-20 NKJV)

6. Texas Primed To Fast-Track Sanctuary-Cities Bill - WND

Soros hails from Hungary. . . But critics decry Soros as little more than a left-wing activist, intent on using his billions of dollars to topple governments and bring about his socialist-minded visions around the world. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we lift up praise and thanks for the action of Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas for supporting this bill to counter the release of dangerous and violent criminals into so called 'Sanctuary-Cities' instead of following ICE rules that they should be detained and/or deported. Mercy, Father, we cry for mercy for our entire nation over this kind of action of releasing violent criminals into the public. We pray this in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "'Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,' says the Lord." (Jeremiah 1:8 NKJV)

7. Clinton emails: White House wants messages involving Obama kept private - UPI

As the U.S. Department of State continues to release thousands of pages of former secretary Hillary Clinton's private server emails, the White House wants some electronic communications between she and President Barack Obama to remain private.

The State Department on Friday released 7,000 additional pages of Clinton's emails that were kept on a non-government email server while she was the department chief -- its sixth and largest mass email release so far this year.

More than half of Clinton's private server emails have now been released, in accordance with a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

While State officials have been persistent in releasing Clinton's emails, the White House doesn't want all of them made public.

Officials rummaging through Clinton's private server came across the emails between her and Obama, which touched on a range of topics that include Benghazi, Libya, and even the lack of emojis on Clinton's cellphone, The New York Times reported Friday. In all, the White House is attempting to block the release of a small number of emails -- not because of their content, but due to the principle that a president's communications should be kept confidential. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we bring this entire investigation before You asking that Your Justice and Truth will arise and be served as a result of what has been discovered. So far there appears to be a number of serious violations of security rules and actions which endangered the core security of our nation. Help us, Father, we pray in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked." (Psalm 97:10 NKJV)

8. Largest U.S. banks face $120 billion shortfall under new rule - Reuters

Six big U.S. banks need to raise an additional $120 billion, most likely in long-term debt, under a rule proposed on Friday by the Federal Reserve.

The requirements are aimed at ensuring that some of the biggest and most interconnected banks, which include Goldman Sachs Group Inc, (GS.N), JPMorgan Chase & Co, (JPM.N), and Wells Fargo & Co (WFC.N), can better withstand another crisis by turning some of their debt, particularly debt issued by their holding companies, into equity without disrupting markets or requiring a government bailout.

The banks are expected to meet the $120 billion shortfall by issuing debt, which is usually more cost-effective than issuing equity, according to Federal Reserve officials speaking at a background press briefing Friday. The rule proposed Friday, largely in line with banks' expectations, concerns the lenders' total loss-absorbing capacity. It is one of a series of rules aimed at reducing risk in the banking system by determining how much debt and equity banks should use to fund themselves. The officials declined to say which two banks already meet the long-term debt requirements under Friday's proposal.

A Wells Fargo spokesman said in a statement the bank is reviewing the proposal and it appears to be in line with expectations. Representatives from the other banks either declined comment or were not immediately available. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we see that the Federal Reserve is trying to encourage the 'super' banks to 'manipulate' their debt in a manner that will keep them functioning and will 'encourage' them to keep afloat so they can keep a balance of debt and equity without needing another 'bailout'. Father, You already know what is driving the people who run and own these banks -- their greed and 'twisted' financial games.

Father, we know that You died on the Cross for each of these whose names You know, so we ask that You would turn their hearts unto salvation, and for banking decisions to then be made according to Your will. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You." (Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV)

9. GOP campaigns meet to try to fix debates, after complaints of liberal bias, 'gotcha' questions - Fox News

The campaigns of Republican presidential campaigns said Sunday they will side-step party leaders and try to negotiate directly with television networks over the ground-rules for the remaining debates, following problems with last week's debate hosted by CNBC.

Representatives from more than a dozen campaigns met behind closed doors for nearly two hours Sunday night in suburban Washington, a meeting that was not expected to yield many results given the competing interests of several candidates. The groups however emerged with agreements for several changes to be outlined in a letter to debate hosts in the coming days.

They include largely bypassing the Republican National Committee in coordinating with network hosts, mandatory opening and closing statements, an equal number of questions for the candidates, and pre-approval of on-screen graphics, according to Ben Carson campaign manager Barry Bennett, who hosted the meeting.

"The amazing part for me was how friendly the meeting was," Bennett said, noting the private gathering was held in a private room marked "family meeting." ''Everybody was cordial. We all agreed we need to have these meetings more regularly." (Read more)

- Lord God, we offer You a chorus of praise for this report, both because progress is now being made on the content and the structure of the remaining presidential debates, but especially because of the atmosphere of unity and cordiality that is reported here. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity . . ." (Psalm 1q33)

10. Storms, tornadoes lash Texas as death toll rises to 6 - Fox News

Another round of storms and strong winds moved east across Texas on Saturday, with three radar-confirmed tornadoes damaging homes and causing injuries in the Houston area.

It's the second day of turbulent weather in the state, where at least six people have died since Friday in flood waters in central Texas. The bodies of two men who were swept away Friday in the Austin area were found Saturday.

As the storms moved east, National Weather Service meteorologist Patrick Blood said a tornado went through Brazoria County near Alvin about 5 a.m. Saturday, injuring at least two people and damaging about 25 mobile homes in the community that's 30 miles south of Houston.

Thirty minutes later, a tornado hit the Houston suburb of Friendswood, collapsing the roof of one home. No one was injured because residents were not home, officials said. Another 30 or so homes had minor damage. And about 7 a.m. Saturday, between 10 and 30 homes were damaged by a tornado in a subdivision in eastern Harris County, Blood said.

In the Houston area, up to 8 inches of rain fell since Friday night, though it had mostly stopped by early Saturday afternoon. The water flooded streets and freeway frontage roads, as well as causing bayous to spill over their banks.

Austin, San Antonio and surrounding areas were first hit Friday. Three people died when they were swept away by flood waters; a woman is still missing after waters reached her home in the Austin area. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we ask that You would comfort, strengthen and pour forth of Your mercy over the families in Texas who are now suffering a second round of dangerous, deadly and costly flooding. We especially lift up the families who have lost family members or friends due to this flooding. We ask that You direct Your people how to respond and to prepare to protect themselves from any future flooding events. We pray that these experiences will encourage them to turn more fully to You, praying this in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV)

Praying for Colorado Springs

Witnesses describe gunman's rampage in Colorado Springs

Witnesses on Sunday described a terrifying scene on the streets of Colorado Springs, where a gunman armed with a rifle marched down a city street and shot and killed three people before being fatally shot in a gunbattle with police.

Authorities have released few details about Saturday morning's shooting in broad daylight. The suspect and victims have not been identified, and police are looking for a motive.

. . . Matthew Abshire, who lives nearby, told The Associated Press that he heard gunshots, looked out his window and saw a man firing a rifle. He waited for the gunfire to subside before he came outside and started chasing after the gunman, who had a rifle in his right hand and a revolver in his left. Abshire stayed about 30 yards behind him until he said the gunman turned and aimed the gun in his direction, prompting him to dive onto a porch to hide.

"He walked calmly and collectedly. His demeanor was like he was having a stroll in the park," Abshire said.

. . . Police say they spotted the gunman several blocks away, where a shootout erupted. Photos show a window in the back of a police car that had been shattered by gunfire. Police on Sunday asked residents to help them look for damage to homes and property that might provide more evidence. (Fox News) Read more here.
- Father God, this tragedy could have occurred anywhere in our nation this weekend, but the enemy chose Colorado Springs. Have mercy, O Lord, we pray. When violence stalks our streets, only You can protect us.

We ask that today, You would comfort those who mourn in Colorado Springs, and assist the law enforcement officers in their investigation. If this man was acting alone, so be it; but if he is part of a larger network of terror, we ask that that network be exposed and destroyed.

Lord God, we also thank You for the many, very fine ministries in our nation that are headquartered in Colorado Springs: the National Day of Prayer Task Force, the (Dick Eastman) Every Home Crusade, Transform USA headed by TC Kim, and PrayerSurgeNow . . . to name only a few. Lord God, we ask even a double portion of angelic security forces to surround and protect these fine brothers and sisters as they continue to pursue their callings. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.
- Please pray PSALM 91 over Colorado Springs. Thank you.

Our Grandmothers' Songs

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

GRACIOUS SAVIOR, GENTLE SHEPHERD

- "He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arms, and carry them in His bosom." (Isaiah 40:11)

Lyrics

Gracious Savior, gentle Shepherd, Our little ones are dear to Thee; Gathered with Thine arms and carried In Thy bosom may they be Sweetly, gently, safely tended, From all want and danger free.

Tender Shepherd, never leave them From Thy fold to go astray; By Thy look of love directed, May they walk the narrow way; Thus direct them, and protect them, Lest they fall an easy prey.
Let Thy holy Word instruct them: Fill their minds with heav'nly light; Let Thy love and grace constrain them, To approve whate'er is right, Take Thine easy yoke and wear it, And to prove Thy burden light.
Cleanse their hearts from sinful folly In the stream Thy love supplied; Mingled streams of blood and water Flowing from Thy wounded side; And to heav'nly pastures lead them, Where Thine own still waters glide.

John Boehner Credits the Lord for "Easing Him" Out of Speakership in Fox News Interview

He also spoke about his greatest regret and proudest moment as Speaker.

After House Speaker John Boehner handed over the reins to his successor, Paul Ryan, yesterday, he sat down with Fox News' Bill Hemmer for a short interview.

Candid, and emotional as usual, Boehner answered questions about his almost 25-year experience in Congress, and ended by explaining how he felt the Holy Spirit had led him to resign.

"Well my colleagues have heard me say this," said Boehner, "I don't have any doubt that God put me in this job."

"And I don't have any doubt that God just eased me right out of this job," he added. "It was pretty smooth. Good job, Big Guy!" (Fox News) Read more here.
