GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL

Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!

1. Erekat blames Netanyahu for terror wave, won't condemn attacks - Israel National News

Hours after Palestinian Arab terrorists carried out four stabbing attacks in Israel, including one in which a soldier was murdered, the Palestinian Authority's (PA) chief negotiator Saeb Erekat blamed Israel - and specifically Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu - for the latest unrest.

Speaking to the AFP news agency ahead of a visit to the region by Secretary of State John Kerry, Erekat said he did not condone killings, but declined to outright condemn the wave of Palestinian attacks targeting Israelis. (Read more)

2. IAF jets strike in Gaza -YNET News

Local reports in Gaza indicated late Monday night that Israeli jets had struck several targets affiliated with Hamas in retaliation for rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave in the morning. The airstrikes were subsequently confirmed by the IDF.

The Gaza rocket strike that spurred Monday's airstrikes against Hamas, landed in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council. (Read more)

3. Palestinian online campaign calls for revenge against settler leader - Israel Hayom

After thwarting a stabbing attack on Sunday morning, former Samaria Regional Council head Gershon Mesika has become the target of Palestinian incitement on social media.

In the incident, a 16-year-old Palestinian girl tried to stab a group of women at a bus stop in Samaria, but was stopped when Mesika ran her over with his car. She was then shot dead by a civilian and several soldiers at the scene.

But according to the Palestinian media, the female terrorist was an innocent bystander who was intentionally rammed with a car by settlers and executed by soldiers. Following the attack, Palestinians launched a social media campaign calling for Mesika to be killed. (Read more)

4. PM to Kerry: Calm must return before we make West Bank gestures - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday that Israel would only implement trust-building measures with the Palestinians when the violence against Israelis abates entirely, a senior Israeli official said.

During their meeting in Jerusalem, Netanyahu said Israel would only agree to take steps to improve the security and economic situation for Palestinians in the West Bank when calm is fully restored, according to the official.

There is no settlement freeze, nor will there be one, Netanyahu continued, according to the senior official. If the international community wants Israel to okay building plans for Palestinians, it should recognize Israel's construction in the settlement blocs, the prime minister declared. (Read more)

5. Netanyahu fumes at Bennett's 'I put a bullet between his eyes' comment - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reprimanded his education minister, Naftali Bennett, on Monday after the latter bragged to Army Radio earlier in the day that he had "put a bullet between [the prime minister's] eyes."

Bennett, the leader of the religious Zionist Bayit Yehudi party, said that he had managed to get Netanyahu to back down from previous public statements indicating that he would consider "unilateral measures" in Israel's dealings with the Palestinians.

Last week, Netanyahu hinted that he could pursue unilateral moves in the West Bank in the absence of a peace process with the Palestinians. (Read more)

6. ***BREAKING NEWS -- Syrian opposition: IAF struck Hezbollah, regime targets near Syria-Lebanon border - Jerusalem Post

Sources in the Syrian opposition claimed Tuesday that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked positions and personnel belonging to the Syrian regime and Hezbollah in the area of Qualamoun, on the Syria-Lebanon border.

The sources claimed that the Monday attack killed 13 Syrian troops and Hezbollah fighters and left dozens wounded, including four seriously. The report has not been confirmed by Syrian officials.

1. Protesters march in Chicago after video showing police officer shooting black teen released - Fox News

Protesters largely honored calls for restraint Tuesday after the release of a dash-cam video showing a a white Chicago police officer shooting and killing a black teenager, with few arrests reported and only brief disruptions to city traffic.

Shortly after the video's release, protesters began marching through city streets. Several hundred people blocked traffic on the near West Side. Some circled police cars in an intersection and chanted "16 shots." Demonstrators, at times numbering in the hundreds, streamed through streets in the downtown and near South Side areas, gathering at one point outside the police department's District 1 headquarters.(Read more)

- Father God, since this news came out tonight (last night), the angry crowds of protestors have begun to gather on the streets of Chicago. We ask that You would arise, dispel the forces of rage, and set these ones free to go home in peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him." (Psalm 68:1)

2. Outrage as military vehicles, equipment taken from officers in wake of Obama order - Fox News

Valuable vehicles and equipment are being yanked from law enforcement agencies across the country by the Obama administration in the wake of the president's post-Ferguson order -- as sheriffs and lawmakers tell FoxNews.com the equipment is needed, and losing it could put officers and the communities they serve in danger.

"These things are useful tools and the president taking them away will put more officers in jeopardy and at risk of harm or even death. I don't know how he can sleep at night knowing his actions will have those repercussions," Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., told FoxNews.com.

President Obama issued Executive Order 13688 in January after the 2014 riots in Ferguson, Mo., amid concerns about the "militarization" of the police fueling a heavy-handed response. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we thank You for our police force which do so much to protect us. We ask that the weapons that they need to protect Your people would be made available to them by the Federal Government. We ask that the police and sheriff departments would be able to meet with the president to discuss this situation that would provide them with added protection. We ask that there would be an agreement favorable to both. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

- "Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good."
(Eccl. 9:18)

3. Turkey shoots down Russian fighter jet; claims Sukhoi Su-24 was warned 10 times in five minutes - Israel National News

Turkish media reports said Tuesday that Turkish jets shot down a warplane that violated national airspace at the border with Syria. Russia claims that aircraft did not enter Turkish airspace. However, a radar picture released by Turkey on Tuesday afternoon appears to prove that the Russian jet did indeed violate Turkish airspace.

Turkish presidential sources said the downed jet was a Russian-made Sukhoi Su-24. According to Turkish reports, Russian helicopters were circling over the area. The Turkish military claimed that the aircraft had been warned 10 times in five minutes. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we ask that Your calming peace preside over this explosive situation. Turkey has a right to protect its airspace, but the shooting of parachuting pilots by the Turks can escalate this situation into one that goes out of control. We pray that NATO stays out of this matter, and that Turkey and Russia resolve this dispute on their own. We cover these nations with Your peace. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

- "Yield now and be atpeace with Him; Thereby good will come to you." (Job 22:21)

4. Obama points finger at Russia over jet shoot-down by Turkey - Fox News

President Obama pointed the finger at Russia over its warplane being shot down by Turkey, suggesting the incident might not have happened if Moscow were more concerned with hitting ISIS targets than moderate opposition to Syria's Bashar Assad - a campaign that puts them dangerously close to the Turkish border.

The president, speaking Tuesday alongside visiting French President Francois Hollande in Washington, stressed that officials are still gathering details on the international incident. He and Hollande both said they want to prevent an "escalation," as Obama urged the Russians and Turks to talk to one another.

But Obama also suggested the nature of Russia's air campaign is contributing to such confrontations. "I do think that this points to an ongoing problem with the Russian operations," Obama said. "In the sense that they are operating very close to a Turkish border, and they are going after moderate opposition that are supported by not only Turkey but a wide range of countries." (Read more)

- Lord God, there may be more to this scenario than meets the eye. We pray for peace in this region, and unusual restraint on the part of all parties involved. We pray that this one incident would not be the one that triggers World War III. In Your Name, amen.

- "Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore." (I Kings 4:29)

5. Putin calls Turkey's downing of Russian jet 'a stab in the back' - SkyNews

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Turkey's downing of a Russian fighter jet "a stab in the back" carried out by the accomplices of terrorists, saying the incident would have serious consequences for Moscow's relations with Ankara. Speaking in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi before a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah, Putin said the downed plane, which Turkey said it had repeatedly warned, had been attacked inside Syria when it was 1 kilometer from the Turkish border and had come down 4 kilometers inside Syria.

Turkish fighter jets shot down the Russian warplane near the Syrian border on Tuesday after repeated warnings over air space violations, but Moscow said it could prove the jet had not left Syrian air space. It was the first time a NATO member's armed forces have downed a Russian or Soviet military aircraft since the 1950s and Russian and Turkish assets fell on fears of an escalation between the former Cold War enemies. (Read more)

- Abba Father, President Putin has taken offense over a Russian plane being shot down when it violated Turkey's airspace. We pray that this situation remains between Russia and Turkey and that NATO does not get involved. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

- "If a ruler's anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great offenses to rest." (Eccl.10:4)

6. Obama, Hollande swear unity against IS, leave Putin in the cold - Times of Israel

Pledging solidarity after the Paris attacks, President Barack Obama promised Tuesday to work with France and other allies to intensify the US-led campaign against the Islamic State, saying America would not be cowed by the scourge of terrorism. To this point, Obama said, Russia is an "outlier" in the fight. "We cannot succumb to fear," Obama said, standing alongside French President Francois Hollande after they met at the White House to discuss the anti-IS mission. "Make no mistake, we will win, and groups like ISIL [Islamic State] will lose."

Hollande's trip to Washington was part of a diplomatic push to get the US and other nations to bolster efforts to destroy the militant group that has claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks. Hollande emerged from his meeting with Obama saying that France and the United States had agreed to step up a "joint response," including new efforts to target terrorists' financial networks, take back IS-controlled territory, scale up efforts in Syria and Iraq and increase intelligence sharing. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we come to You to help us defeat the radical Islamic Jihad Caliphate called ISIS. We pray that President Hollande will be able to convince President Obama to be more aggressive in defeating ISIS. We bind the forces of hell that drives ISIS, and release the armies of Heaven to defeat ISIS. We declare victory over ISIS. We also ask that Vladimir Putin will have great discernment and join the coalition to defeat ISIS. Lord, there is power in unity. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

- "May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high!" (Psalm 20:1)

Thanksgiving Heritage

Note: I want to share with you some of my heritage which has become part of the heritage of America. My grandfather 13 generations back was William Bradford, co-writer of the Mayflower Compact, inventor of the free market system, and governor of the Plymouth colony for over 30 years. I would like to share some insights of and from his writings in "Of Plymouth Plantation."

In the days leading up to the first "Thanksgiving" of the Pilgrims, they had dispatched a group of ten men to "explore the bay and trade with the natives." They were guided by the English speaking Squanto, who also served as an interpreter. When the men returned, they were very impressed with the land around the bay and wished they could have settled there instead of Cape Cod. William Bradford, wrote however, "But it seems that the Lord, Who assigns to all men the bounds of their habitations, had appointed it for another use. And thus they found the Lord to be with them in all their ways, and to bless their outgoings and incomings, for which let His holy name have the praise forever, to all posterity."
This "Thanksgiving" to the Lord offered by Bradford in his history "Of Plymouth Plantation" indicates that Jesus was at the center of his thoughts about all things--even the land they were allocated by God to begin their colony. It also forebears testimony to the very positive Christian witness and relations the Pilgrims maintained with the Indians. This comment was followed immediately by Bradford's account of the harvest in October 1621. Bradford writes,"Each person had about a peck of meal a week, or now since harvest, Indian corn in that proportion; and afterwards many wrote at length about their plenty to their friends in England--not feigned but true reports."
One of those true reports is found in "Mourt's Relation" by Pilgrim Edward Winslow--the only account of the first "Thanksgiving." Winslow writes: "our harvest being gotten in, our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together, after we had gathered the fruits of our labors...at which time amongst other recreations, we exercised our Arms, many of the Indians coming amongst us, and amongst the rest their greatest king Massasoyt, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought to the Plantation and bestowed on our Governor, and upon the Captain and others."
Winslow concluded, "And although it be not always so plentiful, as it was at this time with us, yet by the goodness of God, we are so far from want, that we often wish you partakers of our plenty." Thanks to the godly men and women who came before us, even in our decline we remain blessed more than any other nation on earth. Jeremiah 4:2 says that if God's people return to Him, "And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him shall they glory." This is a promise to the nations. So today, as should be our practice each day, may you have a Psalm 103:2 day, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Obama Vs. America

Obama Vs. America

Last week, two polls found that overwhelming majorities of Americans oppose the president's plans to increase the number of Middle East refugees coming to the United States. The latest Fox News poll confirms those results and finds tremendous dissatisfaction with Obama's handling of ISIS and terrorism generally.

Be Afraid . . . Of Obama

Be Afraid . . . Of Obama

According to a new Fox News poll, 83% of Americans think it is likely that ISIS will attempt to attack America in the near future. President Obama's refusal to acknowledge and counter the threats facing the United States and Western Civilization is likely contributing to the fear and anxiety that Americans are feeling.

There is less and less trust even in some corners of the left that Obama is capable or willing to steer the ship of state through these storm - filled waters.

The city of Brussels -- the capital of Belgium, seat of the European Parliament and NATO headquarters -- is on lockdown for the third straight day. And the prime minister just announced that it will stay on lockdown for at least a week. Major U.S. cities, like New York, are doing drills for possible terrorist scenarios. Intelligence reports suggest a chemical or biological attack could be next.
But President Obama continues to downplay the threat from the Islamic State. During a press conference in Malay sia yesterday, Obama said that ISIS was just a "bunch of killers with good social media."

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough was dumbfounded by the president's remarks. "It is staggering. I don't know where to begin," Scarborough said this morning.

"Democrats d on't know where to begin. Foreign policy experts don't know where to begin. . . [Obama is] radically out of step with where the American people are, where our allies are, where foreign policy experts are," he added. Indeed he is.

Editor's note: This message was written by Rev. Pierre Bynum, Chaplain & National Prayer Director, Family Research Council. We share Pierre's insights on the meaning of this very special holiday and his greeting to all of YOU, too, for a blessed time of fellowship as you gather with family and friends to celebrate this day. Below, please find an excerpt of Rev. Bynum's article. You may read all of his comments by going here.

Thank you all and HAPPY THANKSGIVING from all of us at Capitol Hill Prayer Partners . . . to all of you!

Sara Ballenger, Founder and President
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Thanksgiving is unique in America. And while many countries have observed harvest feasts and holidays, only a few nations, most notably Canada, celebrate Thanksgiving as a day to truly give thanks to the God of the Bible, and most of those derived their celebration from America.
While four states continue to debate the rightful claim to the first American Thanksgiving Day (e.g., the Pilgrims of Massachusetts, the Anglican settlers in Virginia, the Huguenots in Florida, or the Spanish Catholic in El Paso, Texas), Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday.

The many hundreds of proclamations by the original 13 colonies, the Continental Congresses, Presidents and Congresses under the U.S. Constitution, and governors in all 50 states, all attest to our nation's acknowledged dependence upon and gratitude to Almighty God. Not only are American rights and liberties endowed to us by our Creator, we are also the beneficiaries of His eternal law and gospel. We have been entrusted with the responsibility to protect and preserve those benefits so plainly described in our nation's birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence, and are accountable to the Supreme Judge of the World.

But the many historical Thanksgiving Proclamations add to those legal documents to make it clear that the American people owe continual thanks to Almighty God for His manifold mercies and blessings.

America's Thanksgiving is a uniquely religious event. While it may have diminished just as faith in Americans has waned, it is our duty as believers to honor and revive the spiritual sentiment of this consecrated day. The faithful should make it a time of genuine thanksgiving to God, not just for the bountiful harvest and material blessings, but also for the spiritual benefits that our Forefathers risked their lives to obtain. Like those who fled to America for religious freedom, we must join in the quest of liberty to serve God without restraint or persecution, and to pass that liberty on to our children. In Kenyan town, Christians worship under police guard

As song and prayer drifted from the open, ivy-lined doorways of a Catholic church in Garissa, several security officials, including Muslims, stood watch on the grounds nearby.

Their presence was a reminder of the violence that hit this Kenyan town in April, when Islamic extremists killed nearly 150 people at a college of mostly Christian students. Yet it was also a sign, they said, that interfaith relations had improved -- the men were relaxed and smiling, and all but one were in plain clothes. After the service ended, they chatted jovially with the priest.

""Welcome, welcome! Feel free!" one official, Omar Tawane, said to an Associated Press reporter, as though eager to get the word out that Garissa was no longer a place of fear and suspicion. Tawane, the regional prison commander and a Muslim, was doing the rounds on foot near St. Peter's Catholic Church, which is next to the high walls of a prison.
Tawane said townspeople are quick these days to inform authorities of any suspicious activity and are united against their common enemy: al-Shabab, the Somali group that carried out the attack. But he acknowledged the threat of militant infiltration remains.

"We cannot say they are not around. We don't know," he said. (cbsnews.com) Read more.

WE GATHER TOGETHER TO ASK THE LORD'S BLESSING

"Gather together in one the children of God." (John 11:52)

Lyrics
We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Stonehenge-Like Structure Leaves Archaeologists in Israel Baffled

Is Stonehenge-Like Structure in Israel Biblical Jacob's Monument?

"'So now come, let us make a covenant, you and I, and let it be a witness between you and me.' Then Jacob took a stone and set it up as a pillar. Jacob said to his kinsmen, 'Gather stones.' So they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap. Now Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed." (Genesis 31:44-45)

Has Israel's own version of Stonehenge been uncovered?

After the Six-Day War in 1967, archaeologists studying an aerial map of Israel discovered a strange formation of five concentric rings of loose rock. The formation is not recognizable from the ground, appearing as random piles of rocks, but from above it is quite impressive, with an outer ring more than 152 meters (nearly 500 feet) wide. It is called Rujm el-Hiri in Arabic, meaning the "stone heap of the wild cat", and in Hebrew as Gilgal Refaim, or Wheel of the Giants.

At its center is a mound of loose stones 20 meters (over 65 feet) in diameter and five meters (over 16 feet) tall, covering a six-meter-long (almost 20 feet) burial chamber. The entire formation is composed of over 40,000 tons of loose basalt rocks. . .

When asked by Breaking Israel News about Gilgal Refaim and a possible Biblical connection to the site known as the "pile of stones" referred to in the Bible (Genesis 31:51) by Laban as Jegar-sahadutha and by Jacob as Galeed, Moskoff agreed that there was value in the connection.
