URGENT PRAYER ALERT

"The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways." (Deuteronomy 28:7)

Introduction

Tonight: the "Night of Power in Islam"

The time to pray for the salvation of the people of Islam

Dear Prayer Partners,

Today we have received numerous reports, both from the mainstream media and from major prayer networks in our nation, of a need to go on HIGH ALERT during tonight's "Night of Power" in Islam.

As millions of Moslems gather all night tonight in their mosques, crying out to their god to find favor with him, we praise our God that we have already found favor with Him, in repentance, through the work of the Cross.
We submit the following four articles to you for your own prayerful consideration, so that we all might continue to "pray in the Spirit and with understanding" in these perilous times.
Let's join hands and hearts tonight, interceding for the lost souls of Islam, and asking our God to yet have mercy upon our land. Thank you.
In His Amazing Grace,

Sara C. Ballenger, Founder and President

Special Prayer Protection for our U.S. Embassies and Personnel this weekend

Your prayers are requested:

You may have heard that the U.S. State Department announced they will close 17 embassies and 4 consulates on Sunday 8/4/2013 over security fears. They will be in response to "a specific threat against a U.S. embassy, consulate and other US interest," according to a senior U.S. official, who called it a "concerted effort" to target an embassy or consulate in a Muslim country.
A U.S. official said, "The threat is considered to be throughout the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia."

You may want to read the CNN report below - which gives more detail about al Qaeda attacking during Ramadan.

The American Embassies and American Consulates in 125 nations are protected by the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group. This special security team of Marines is made up of approximately 1000 Marine Embassy Guards. Please include those protecting the embassy property in your prayers. (For more information, go here.)
The following U.S. Embassies and Consulates will be closed in these nations:
Israel
United Arab Emirates
Algeria
Jordan
Iraq
Egypt
Saudi Arabia
Djibouti
Bangladesh
Qatar
United Arab Emirates
Iraq
Saudi Arabia
Afghanistan
Sudan
Kuwait
Bahrain
Oman
Mauritania
Saudi Arabia
Yemen
Libya

Thanks for praying for:

- protection of our Marines and other personnel
- wisdom for our leaders and military
- al Qaeda plans revealed and thwarted

Standing with you,

Diane Moder and Sandy Wezowicz

News from CNN

Alert from CNN

(CNN) -- On Friday the U.S. State Department issued a worldwide travel alert because of an unspecified al Qaeda threat. The location of that threat, the department said in a bulletin, is "particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula." As a result, an unprecedented 21 embassies and consulates in 17 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia will close on Sunday.

Sunday is also the 27th day of Ramadan and a particularly holy day for the world's Muslims as it is the "Night of Power," when the first verses of the Koran were revealed to the Prophet Mohammed.

It is also seen by al Qaeda's would-be martyrs as a particularly auspicious day to die. On the Night of Power in 2000, which that year fell on January 3, al Qaeda militants attempted to launch a suicide attack against the American warship "USS The Sullivans" off the coast of Yemen with a bomb-filled boat. That attack failed, but the same group of militants then attacked the USS Cole 10 months later, again using the tactic of a bomb-laden boat, which exploded, killing 17 American sailors.

It was the day after the Night of Power in December 2001 that Osama bin Laden signed his will as he feared death from American bombs falling during the battle of Tora Bora in eastern Afghanistan.

Al Qaeda and aligned organizations have a long history of attacking U.S. embassies and consulates, beginning in 1998 with the bombings of the embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, which killed more than 200, and including, most recently, the storming of the U.S. government facility in Benghazi, Libya, on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 last year.

For al Qaeda, these diplomatic compounds are attractive targets because they symbolize American power and because their locations are widely known. Indeed, several of the embassies and consulates that are being closed on Sunday have been attacked by al Qaeda and affiliated groups before.

In Saudi Arabia, al Qaeda terrorists stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Riyadh on May 12, 2003, killing 36 people. A year-and-a-half later, militants breached the outer wall of the U.S. consulate in Jeddah and opened fire on the staff, killing five.

The U.S. embassy in Sana'a, Yemen, was targeted by an al Qaeda affiliate two times in 2008, attacks that killed 21.

On September 13, 2011, the Haqqani network, a Taliban group closely associated with al Qaeda, attacked the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, killing five Afghan police officers and 11 civilians.

Though U.S. officials have not confirmed the targeting of a specific embassy, it is likely that the American compound in Cairo is a particular point of concern. In May, three men were arrested by Egyptian officials, who said the men were planning to attack the embassy. Officials said they discovered 22 pounds of aluminum nitrate, instructions on how to make bombs, and materials published by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, the network's North African affiliate.

The US State Department on Friday issued a global travel alert for all Americans and against American interest.

Kamal Saleem, former muslim terrorist, now Christian Patriot who travels the country sounding the alarm like a modern day Paul Revere, sent me a text yesterday with a very important warning.

He asked that we mobilize people to pray. He has been monitoring the Arabic chat rooms and believes Islamists are planning to attack America's interests at home and abroad on Sunday, August 4th.

Muslims around the world have been celebrating the month of Ramadan. This Sunday, August 4th happens to be the "night of Power or the night of Destiny." He believes that the Islamists are planning massive attacks against Americans and our interest abroad and at home.

Historically during the month of Ramadan muslims have attacked nonmuslims on the "night of Power."

As Christians, we are to know the times and know what to do. We cannot allow fear to rule over us. This is the goal of the terrorist. Anytime we allow fear to control our decisions as individuals or as a country we agree with the enemy.

Consider how many individual liberties have been stolen from the American people since 9-11. Most of these restrictions have been imposed because of fear. This is exactly what the enemy wanted to happen.

Let us respond by putting our faith in Jesus and asking Him to thwart the plans of the enemy.
"Now the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty."

Hundreds of Al-Qaeda Terrorists Break out of Prison

Recent Prison Breaks Are Fueling Al Qaeda's Global Comeback

Jul. 30, 2013, 3:11 PM

In less than a week, we have 500 senior Al Qaeda leaders escape during two assaults on prisons in Iraq, more than 1,000 in a prison assault in Libya, and another 250 in a particularly nasty Taliban assault on a Pakistani prison.

Former intelligence analyst Joshua Foust argues that these prison assaults are concerted, often well-coordinated, efforts on behalf of militant groups to capitalize on destabilized regions:

Al Qaeda warned us this would happen. Last summer the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi . . . [posted online] . . . "I bring you good news. We are starting a new phase in our struggle with a plan we named `Breaking the walls,' and we remind you of your priority to free the Muslim prisoners."

"At the top of your priorities regarding targets is to chase and liquidate the judges, the investigators and the guards," he said.

These prisons have been targeted not only because of the men behind those walls, but also because the walls of security are crumbling. After all, the Arab Spring was not a boon for state security forces.

When Hosni Mubarek fell in Egypt, Western activists cried victory as unlawfully imprisoned political dissdents and journalists were released. At the same time, however, some of the most extreme militants on earth likely returned to the streets.

Escaped prisoners have caused serious damage in recent years.

Isn't this an interesting development? Two weeks ago, the nations were demanding that Israel release 104 Palestinian terrorists from their prisons during the "peace" negotiations. . .
Now, almost 2,000 al-Qaeda terrorists have broken out of jails in Libya, Iraq, and Pakistan -- all nations that are enemies of Israel!

- Pray that the leaders of every nation on earth will awaken to the fact that the Lord God Jehovah has His Hand upon Israel, and He promises to protect her. As is done unto her, so shall this return upon their own heads.

- "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. (Romans 12:19)

In Closing . . .

It is written: "The LORD has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Amen.
