The Daily Brief

1. Cuba calls equipment seized on North Korean ship 'obsolete' weaponry- AP

Cuba said military equipment found buried under sacks of sugar on a North Korean ship seized as it tried to cross the Panama Canal was obsolete weaponry from the mid-20th century that it had sent to be repaired.

Panamanian authorities said it might take a week to search the ship, since so far they have only examined one of its five container sections. They have requested help from United Nations inspectors, along with Colombia and Britain, said Javier Carballo, Panama's top narcotics prosecutor. North Korea is barred by U.N. sanctions from importing sophisticated weapons or missiles.

Read more:

- Lord, the very presence of this ship bringing any kind of weaponry to Cuba is suspicious. We pray for the revelation of all hidden agendas and plans of the enemy.

- "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." [Isaiah 54:17]

2. Quantum Dawn 2 will test Wall Street's cyber readiness- Computer World

Starting at around 8.30 a.m. ET Thursday and continuing through Friday morning, dozens of major Wall Street firms will come under a series of massive cyberattacks aimed at crippling financial services networks around the country.

Fortunately for the firms -- and their customers -- the attacks will simply be a drill, codenamed Quantum Dawn 2. The effort is designed to test cyber incident response and coordination capabilities within the U.S. financial services sector.

- Father, we ask that this test will reveal the weaknesses in our cyber structure so that they can be repaired quickly.

- "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his goods are safe"
[Luke 11:21]

3. Emails reveal how accuracy was scrubbed out of Benghazi 'talking points'- Washington Times

As the hour grew late on the night of Sept. 14, the White House wanted to make one thing clear to the State Department and the CIA as the three collaborated on what would come to be known as the Benghazi "talking points," designed to be used by Congress and administration officials to explain what had happened three days earlier at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.

- Father, we pray that this kind of deception and outright lies never again be used to cover up the truth. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to convict these people of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

- "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." [John 16:8]

4. Third court overturns Obama recess appointments - Washington Times

A third federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that President Obama violated the Constitution last year when he made recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board, adding more weight to the case as it goes before the Supreme Court in the justices' next session.

- Lord, three courts have ruled that these appointments are not Constitutional. According to Your Word, that is enough to require establishment of an offense. We pray for a stop to these recess appointments and every other act that bypasses the legal system.

-"But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established." [Matthew 8:16]

5. IRS Employees Were Ordered to Send Tea Party Cases to IRS's Only Obama Political Appointee - CNS News

IRS employees were ordered by their superiors -- including Lois Lerner who pleaded the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination rather than testify in Congress -- to send certain Tea Party tax-exemption applications to the office of the IRS's Chief Counsel, which was headed by William Wilkins, who at that time was the only Obama political appointee at the IRS, according to a letter released today by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

- Lord, as we delve deeper into this IRS scandal, we see a pattern of evil directed at Conservatives and Christians. We pray for justice, we ask that the IRS either be abolished or so restricted that this can never happen again.

-"An evil man seeks only rebellion" [Proverbs 17:11a]

6. NSA phone program will expire next year, Patriot Act author says - Washington Times

The lawmaker who wrote the Patriot Act said Wednesday that as it stands right now, the House will never renew the provisions that the Obama administration uses to collect phone records of every American, meaning the program will be cut off at the end of 2015.

- Father, we ask that You cut off this program now, and that it never be renewed. With probable cause set in truth, there are still ways to watch for terrorist activity in America.

-"An ungodly man digs up evil, and it is on his lips like a burning fire." [Proverbs16:27]

The Persecuted Church

Today's Focus: The Persecuted Church

"Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body." (Hebrews 13:3)

1. Christians in Henan, China, Resist Forced Church Demolition - ChinaAid

ChinaAid reported on June 21, 2013, that the new building of Shunzhuang Church, a little less than a year old, is facing forced demolition of the structure. The brothers and sisters of the congregation, however, are protecting the church day and night.

The Shunzhuang church has existed as a congregation for nearly 30 years. The land on which the church is built was legally acquired and the building constructed legally, strictly following relevant legal procedures. For several months a Shunzhuang village committee has been threatening to tear down the church, despite having given permission for the church to be built only a year before! At present all the buildings surrounding the church have been torn down for economic development.

2. Pakistani Christian Beaten and Humiliated for Protecting Family - AsiaNews

Insulted, threatened, beaten and humiliated: this is what happened to a Christian family in Pakistan, attacked by some Muslims, who own a brick factory. The attackers wanted to "punish" Rafique Masih, a 50 year old father, for trying to defend his daughters, harassed by the constant taunts of Muhammad Umai and Muhammad Zubair, nephews of the owner of the factory.

"This inhuman act - Rafique Masih tells AsiaNews - happened because we are poor and we had requested a loan of 70 thousand rupees (770 dollars) from the owners of the brick factory. They think that poor Christians do not deserve respect and that therefore they can do whatever they want. I may not be rich, but I will fight for justice and for the respect and the dignity of my family. "

Rafique and his wife have seven children, four girls and three boys. After his eldest daughter, Iram, 17, was yet again verbally harassed on July 10 last, the father went to tell the two young men not to bother his daughters anymore. In response, Muslims began to verbally abuse him, insulting him and his family and threatening to "teach him a lesson."

After the argument the Christian returned home, but the same evening Muhammad Umai and Muhammad Zubair appeared at his door looking to continue the argument. Mehboob Masih, 23, one of the sons opened the door, refusing to call his father. At that point the two burst into the house armed with wooden sticks and bricks and began to beat the boy and his father, who came to see what was happening.

The attackers wounded Rafique's head and broke his arm. Then they slapped and insulted his daughters, trying to drag them into the street to humiliate them. Only the intervention of some neighbors made them desist. At that point, the Muslims held the Christians in their own home, threatening to crush anyone who rushed to their aid and preventing the family from receiving medical treatment.

3. Christian Association of Nigeria Reports Abduction of Christian Girls in Northern Nigeria - Leadership

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 northern states yesterday disclosed that five underage girls have been abducted in some states in the north.

The Secretary of the Northern CAN, Professor Daniel Babayi, who spoke to LEADERSHIP in Kaduna, said "the situation where Christian girls below the age of 18 are forcefully abducted and made to denounce their faith in the north has increased.

"We have three cases from Kaduna State where three Christian little girls have been abducted and made to renounce their faith.

"Right now, there are five cases we are treating; they have been kept in the houses of Emirs or Imams. When we report to the police, they tell you there is nothing they can do. The Police have become very helpless. In some instances, they are part of the conspiracy," said Northern CAN.

Professor Babayi who also castigated the attack on CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), added that "the reaction of the NSCIA is very unfortunate and full of hatred for the person of the CAN President. We see it as an attempt to ridicule the entire Christian community."

First the Coup; then the Revolution

It is a sad state of affairs. The United States experienced an Islamic Marxist coup beginning in 2002--progressives, socialists, communists, Muslim Brotherhood, illegal aliens, homosexuals, abortionists--took over the country and have been running things ever since. It is a coalition of the unrighteous ruling over the citizenry like never before seen in American history. These are folks who have a new definition of America. They love America--they're America--the one they are remaking into a third world country while good people are so busy surviving that they cannot bring an opposition to the field. But now that the coup is complete, the revolution follows.

These people are not only wrong-minded and godless, they are the epitome of the failures of collectivism. As Romans 1:22 says, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." As Jeremiah 10:15 reveals: "They are vanity, and the work of errors." But they have become critical mass. It is in this, the revolution is afoot. A third of Americans on the government dole; the government the largest single employer in the nation; the "president" overseeing the destruction of a once great country, attempting to export his Muslim Brotherhood revolution to other parts of the world, especially the epicenter of the end times--the Middle East.

The scandals should have brought this administration to its knees. But the coup is complete--neither Benghazi, nor Fast and Furious, nor IRS targeting or government spying can stop them from their appointed rounds. Now the revolution, pitting Americans against Americans. It starts by creating racial tension and augmenting it with the false flag of social injustice, fanning the flames with words of division disguised as words of peace, then bringing in their coalition to push it over the edge--just like how the Muslim Brotherhood did it in Egypt. The Trayvon Martin angry spark has grown to violent protests enjoined by the more organized "occupy" movement, amnesty, gun control advocates and others.
These protests are aimed at calling out the government for more action--not against the government for its policies. In other words, the revolution is encouraging the occupant of the Oval Office to take stronger action against Americans who oppose abolishing marriage, abortion, amnesty, fiscal irresponsibility, etc. It starts with the racial fuse and then all the members of the unrighteous coalition join in. It is a revolution. And it is a revolution of the godless, often invoking God as if they are his representatives. This is separation time. As Joshua 24:15 says, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Prayer Requests:

First, ask our Lord to send the Wind of His Spirit across the land, beginning in Sanford, Florida (where peace reigns today) and continuing across every time zone in the nation.

Next, declare and decree that every strategy that has been set in place to destroy our nation will fail. Thank you.

- "But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more." (Romans 5:20)

[To decree against destructive plans] "Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us."
(Isaiah 8:10)

The Good News Corner:

Egypt's New Interim Cabinet Sworn In;
Includes Christians, Women

None of the appointed ministers are affiliated to any Islamist party or movement.

Egypt's first interim government officials were sworn in today in a move that reflects a stark difference from ex-President Mohamed Morsi's prior cabinet. According to an AFP report, none of the appointed ministers are affiliated to any Islamist party or movement.

The new government is led by Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi, said to be an economist, and women have been appointed to three ministries, including the Information and Health ministries-the most women to be appointed into top level government positions in recent Egyptian history.

Three Christians are also said to be in the new government, with one of them also being a woman-Environment Minister Laila Rashed Iskander. Not surprisingly, the Muslim Brotherhood has issued a statement saying they reject the new 35-member cabinet's authority and legitimacy.
