Introduction:
The Hour We Are In
Saints of God -- we are Kingdom intercessors and not intercessors for any specific political party. But it is now clear that we are in a battle for the very destiny of the life of our nation, contending against forces of evil that would try to take us down.
As we all know in America, under the U.S. Constitution, we are blessed by a balance of power at the federal level, which establishes three branches of government: the executive branch; the judicial branch; and the legislative branch.
In this time of a quiet and not-so-quiet, revolution, we can see that the enemies of our Republic are in a panic. They are now raging in a desperate move to regain the power they have wielded for too long and that they have now lost or are about to lose.
Two years ago, the liberals lost control of our Executive Branch: The White House. They then lost control of the Judicial Branch when two new, "conservative-minded" justices were seated on the Supreme Court.
Now, however, While two of our three branches of government remain firmly in conservative hands, a battle has appeared in Congress. The Senate remains firm, but a firestorm has erupted in the House of Representatives, where far left-wing "social justice Democrats" are now fighting to control their party -- and Congress; while a solid Republican base has lost ground.
Through the travail of the night, our intercessors are working to hold the ground that has been gained for conservative leadership, while taking back the ground that has been lost. In doing so, we do not war against men or women, but " . . . against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Eph. 6:12)
As we "wage warfare" on behalf of the very souls our leaders, we contend against an enemy who would keep each one bound to do his will -- instead setting each one free to know the Truth - Jesus Christ - and to then rule in Truth as well. This move of the Spirit in setting captives free is accomplished by praying for each one from a heart of mercy and forgiveness . . . and then "letting go" to see what will happen next. Praise God!

How do we fight back?
By entering into the NIGHTWATCH!
By using the "weapons of our warfare" in worship and intercession and battling against the "principalities and powers in high places" (not the people). We are now called to HOLD THE GROUND WE HAVE GAINED and to agree with GOD as He moves His Kingdom forward in the realm of civil government in our nation.
During most of next month, the Holy Spirit is calling us to launch 14 NIGHTS of prayer for the United States in a strategy called THE NIGHTWATCH (April 1st to April 14th). During THE NIGHTWATCH, we are free to provide focused prayer over our country and to intercede over the issues of the day. We will also use the Daily Briefs as our guide to prayer, amen! AND, during the NIGHTWATCH, too, we will also "pray for the peace of Jerusalem," night after night after night. . .

Why do we pray at NIGHT?
Over the past 25 years, since our ministry was birthed in 1994, we have come to realize that we do confront enemy forces in the heavenlies - the principalities and powers in high places. And though they are active in the heavens, they are working through men and women on earth . . . men and women who are being held captive to do the will of the evil one.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of
this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly
places." (Eph. 6:12)
As
the enemy is working to "gain ground" through the night, while most
are asleep, our heartcry is to undo those works through acts of forgiveness,
and decrees that counter their work and speak TRUTH over the nation. WORKING TOGETHER, WE ESTABLISH THE FREQUENCY OF HEAVEN ON EARTH, TRUSTING OUR GOD FOR A "TURNAROUND" THAT WILL DEMOLISH SATAN'S PLANS . . . AND SET HIS CAPTIVES FREE!

Victory at night: Three Biblical Examples
There are countless times in Scripture where the battle has been won OVERNIGHT.
For example:
- Recall Esther, whose uncle Mordecai went to bed one night, thinking he would be hung the next morning on the gallows Haman was constructing. But, OVERNIGHT, something changed. The gallows meant for Mordecai were used instead to hang the wicked Haman.
- Recall Jacob, who travailed THROUGH THE NIGHT with an angel, until he received the blessing of our Father.
- Recall Moses, who led the Israelites OVERNIGHT, through the Red Sea, to safety.
Let us go forth with the Light of the Word of God, the blood of the Lamb and a warrior's cry of worship and redeem back what belongs to King Jesus! We'll take the battle, where the battle needs to be taken: * to the highest gates of authority in our nation; *at the exact time the battle must be waged. Praise God for His Victory!! Has He not, indeed, designed the strategy of the NIGHTWATCH, "for such a time as this?" HalleluJah!

Our conference line and instructions
YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO JOIN US IN THIS TIME OF STRATEGIC INTERCESSION. We will pray for five hours every night, from midnight to 5:00 a.m. (EDT), under the leadership of a trained facilitator for that night. Each of you may remain on the call for as short or as long a time as you wish. We open each NIGHTWATCH by sharing the Cup of Communion, inviting Christ's presence to abide with us.

When you call in, one of our facilitators will be there to welcome you. (Note: Sara Ballenger will be our first hostess, from midnight to 2:30 a.m. each night! She is very much looking forward to meeting our prayer partners from across the nation at that time.)
When you enter the call, you will hear prayer taking place. You may mute your phone (*6 to both mute and unmute) until the leader asks who just joined -- at which time you'll announce your first name and state and tell the leader that you saw the invitation on the Daily Brief. You will then be welcomed to join the prayer meeting following the leading of the Holy Spirit and team leader.
As we FLOW TOGETHER IN THE SPIRIT night after night, you will be strengthened and blessed as you join with other like-minded believers, praying that His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Our NIGHTWATCH Prayer for You and for Us
Heavenly Father,
For many years now, our own, small team of CHPP intercessors have been blessed to enter into a NIGHTWATCH each year at a set time.
But, O Lord, You have done a NEW THING this year, and YOU have asked us to OPEN THE DOOR WIDE, that ALL might enter in and to partake of this precious time . . . together.
We ask for Your grace to be with our new NIGHTWATCH friends; Your wisdom to guide our NIGHTWATCH facilitators; Your ministering angels to stand guard over our conference line; and Your Hand of Protection to rest upon us all.
We plead the Shed Blood of our Savior over all of us, as we submit this NIGHTWATCH to You, in Your Name, amen.
"Let the
words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (Psalm 19:14)

AMAZING GRACE
Often, when we begin to focus on "enemy forces" who are working to destabilize our nation and shred our Constitution, it is easy to be unforgiving towards each one.
But then, I have to stop and think:
Not too long ago, I was no better than these . . . despising Christians, hating the gospel, and engaging in various other "works of darkness."
In gazing upon the enemy forces, I can truly say that: "there, but for the grace of God, go I."
And so, we dedicate this classic hymn to them, praying that the Amazing Grace of the Cross will find its way into each of their hearts, too.
