1. Gaza rocket strikes central Israel, 7 injured including 2 children and infant - World Israel News

An early morning rocket from the Gaza Strip struck a house in central Israel on Monday, wounding seven people, an attack that could set off another round of violence shortly before the Israeli election. Israel launched a retaliatory strike later that evening.

It was around 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning that sounds of air raid sirens woke residents of the Sharon region, northeast of Tel Aviv, sending them hurrying to bomb shelters. A strong sound of an explosion followed. The Magen David Adom rescue service said it was treating seven people, including two women who were moderately wounded. The others, including two children and an infant, had minor wounds.

It was later reported that four of the family dogs were killed in the attack.

2. IDF destroys Hamas leader's office, secret terror headquarters - World Israel News

Israeli forces on Monday struck targets across the Gaza Strip, including the offices of Hamas' supreme leader, in response to a surprise rocket attack from the Palestinian territory, as the military bolstered its troops and rocket-defense systems in anticipation of a new round of heavy fighting with the Islamic terror group.

Israel opened public bomb shelters in most major cities and civil defense authorities canceled sports events and public transportation in southern Israel. The Israeli army said air raid sirens wailed in southern Israel late Monday night, with one rocket fired into the country, but it provided no further details.

"Israel will not tolerate this. I will not tolerate this," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared during a White House meeting with President Donald Trump. "Israel is responding forcefully to this wanton aggression," he said. "We will do whatever we must do to defend our people and defend our state."

3. IDF attacks 15 terrorist targets in Gaza - Israel National News

Israeli warplanes attacked some 15 terror targets in the northern Gaza Strip overnight Monday, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said.

Among the targets that were attacked were a military compound belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in Beit Hanoun and a military compound belonging to the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in Beit Lahiya. The attack was carried out in retaliation for the rocket fire at Israeli territory.

"The Hamas terrorist organization is responsible for all the goings on in and out of the Gaza Strip. The IDF is determined to carry out the task of protecting the citizens of Israel and is prepared for various scenarios and intensifying its operations as necessary," the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said.

4. Haley: Arab States Don't Believe in their Own Anti-Israel Campaign - World Israel News

The Arab states themselves don't believe in their diplomatic campaign against Israel anymore, former ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley told pro-Israel lobbing group AIPAC's annual Policy Conference on Monday.

Receiving by far the most enthusiastic reception from the audience of any of the day's speakers, Haley, who was noted for her staunch defense of Israel during her tenure, quickly pointed out that the response of the UN to Monday morning's Hamas missile attack that leveled an Israeli home and wounded seven was "radio silence."

Asked why this is the case, and why the UN regularly condemns Israeli retaliation but not the terrorism that caused it, Haley replied, "What I've learned is that, at the UN, it's just been this way for so long that they do that."

However, she said, even Israel's staunchest opponents are aware of the hypocrisy of this practice. "I was at this meeting with a couple of Arab countries and we were talking about Yemen," she recounted. "And one of them said, 'I just don't understand, why isn't anyone calling out Hezbollah, why aren't they sitting there saying something about what's being done, all of the things that are happening,' because they were upset that that terrorist group was doing something that they shouldn't be doing."

5. Hamas claims truce reached, but rocket fire, Israeli air strikes continue - Times of Israel

The Hamas terrorist group said it accepted an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement with Israel late Monday night. But terrorists in the Gaza Strip continued to fire projectiles at southern Israel into the night, Israeli retaliatory raids were ongoing, and the violence in the south showed no signs of abating.

There was no confirmation or comment from Israeli officials on the reported truce, which the terror group declared was in effect at 10 p.m.

Less than an hour after it was announced, however, sirens in southern Israel warning of incoming rocket fire were triggered multiple times and continued after midnight, indicating the fighting had not ceased.

- Abba, we ask for you to allow the IDF to see through the smoke and mirrors of Hamas and their lies. We ask that You send supernatural protection to all of Israel and keep everyone safe from the attacks of the enemies. Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, all of Israel, and those in the nations who have a love of Israel in their hearts. Heavenly Father, we ask that you be with Prime Minister Netanyahu and give him wisdom, peace and strength. We also ask that you give him and the IDF discernment against the plans of the enemy. We ask You to protect them and all Israelis from fear and trauma and all effects, in the name of Yeshua, amen.
- "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." (Psalm 122:6)

The Daily Brief

1. As Mueller findings released, 2020 Dems demand to see 'whole damn report' - Fox News

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidates may have faced a setback after Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation found no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, but made clear that they're not giving up the hunt for incriminating details against the president. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, campaigning in San Francisco on Sunday, told the large crowd that, "I don't want a summary of the report! I want the whole damn report because nobody, especially this president, is above the law."

And on Saturday, one day before Attorney General William Barr released a short summary of Mueller's findings, former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke charged on the campaign trail in South Carolina that you "have a president, who in my opinion beyond the shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government ― a foreign power ― to undermine and influence our elections."

He did not comment at length on Sunday, but did say at a campaign stop in Las Vegas that Trump is "one of the most racist and uncivil presidents we have ever had." Mueller's nearly two-year-long investigation did not establish that members of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government to interfere in the election in favor of Trump and at the expense of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that only Your will be accomplished with any release of the full report. It may not matter what the report actually says, since deception is rampant.

- "Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, and drives diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolishness." (Isaiah 44:25)

2. Omar Holding Secret Fundraisers With Islamic Groups Tied to Terror - Free Beacon

Democratic freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) has been holding a series of secret fundraisers with groups that have been tied to the support of terrorism, appearances that have been closed to the press and hidden from public view.

The content of these speeches, given to predominately Muslim audiences, remains unknown, prompting some of Omar's critics to express concern about the type of rhetoric she is using before these paying audiences, particularly in light of the lawmaker's repeated use of anti-Semitic tropes in public.

Omar recently spoke in Florida at a private event hosted by Islamic Relief, a charity organization long said to have deep ties to groups that advocate terrorism against Israel. Over the weekend, she will appear at another private event in California that is hosted by CAIR-CA PAC, a political action committee affiliated with the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR a group that was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a massive terror-funding incident.

Omar's appearance at these closed-door forums is raising eyebrows in the pro-Israel world due to her repeated and unapologetic public use of anti-Semitic stereotypes accusing Jewish people of controlling foreign policy and politics. With Omar's popularity skyrocketing on the anti-Israel left, it appears her rhetoric is translating into fundraising prowess. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for a solution to her presence in the House of Representatives. Let Your Spirit move mightily to convict her heart of not knowing You, and help her to be rid of the lies she has been taught. We continue to pray for her termination as a member of the United States House of Representatives, in Your name, amen.

- "I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6b)

3. Bernie Sanders' hiring of non-American campaign advisers may violate federal election laws, complaint says - Fox News

Bernie Sanders was hit with a complaint this week, claiming his presidential campaignviolated federal election laws by employing non-Americans in advisory positions.

A new complaint by the Coolidge Reagan Foundation filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) notes that three members of the Sanders campaign are foreign nationals, which appears to be a violation of federal election laws that prohibit foreign interference.

Maria Belén Sisa, Sanders' deputy national press secretary who joined the campaign last month, was among the staffers named in the complaint, as first reported by the Washington Free Beacon. Sisa claims to be an illegal immigrant whose residency is protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an Obama-era program for assisting illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.

Sisa recently caused an uproar after invoking an anti-Semitic "dual allegiance" trope of Jewish Americans while defending Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and questioning whether American Jews, including Sanders, were loyal to the United States. (Read more)

- Lord as Senator Sanders shouts attacks against others, he may well be hiding his own sins. We pray for all hidden things to be revealed.

- "Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." (Matthew 10:26)

4. Congress Unloads on Pro-Iran Deal Forces in Trump Administration - FreeBeacon

Leading Republican senators are uniting against what they describe as a bid by some elements of the Trump administration to keep the Iran nuclear deal on life support via a package of waivers exempting Tehran and its allies from new sanctions spearheaded by President Donald Trump, according to multiple conversations with top congressional officials both on and off the record. A debate has been raging inside the Trump administration for months over how far it will go to sanction the Iranian regime. While President Donald Trump has promised a "maximum pressure" campaign to choke off Tehran's resources, the State and Treasury Departments have advocated in favor of waivers permitting Iran to continue sensitive nuclear work as well as its lucrative oil trade.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), a vocal opponent of the deal, told the Washington Free Beacon he is aware of elements within the Trump administration who are working behind the president's back to save the nuclear deal. "A nuclear Iran is the most pressing near-term threat to American national security and to the survival of our Middle East allies," Cruz said. "Every waiver for Iran either allows them to work toward their nuclear goal, or pays for terrorists to attack us, or both." (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that the Iran Deal will be fully removed in all facets. We ask that any remnants of previous administrations within the Trump administration be revealed.

- "But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light." (Ephesians 5:13a)

5. Ocasio-Cortez De-Listed From Justice Democrats' Board After Ethics Complaint - Daily Wire

Amid a brewing controversy over her affiliation with the PAC that helped get her elected, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) and her chief of staff were officially de-listed from the Justice Democrats' board on Friday. The removal was made official in a corporate filing to the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs.

The PAC's move comes amid mounting questions about her affiliation with the Justice Democrats and just days after a legal complaint filed by a Virginia-based conservative group, Fox News notes in its coverage of the story. "Earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti were accused in an FEC complaint of violating campaign finance law by funneling nearly $1 million in contributions from PACs, including Justice Democrats, to private companies also controlled by Chakrabarti."

The complaint, filed by conservative National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) on March 4, alleges that Chakrabarti established two PACs - Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress PAC - which then transferred over $885,000 in contributions to two "shell" companies he controlled and that are exempt from reporting their significant expenditures to the FEC, thus potentially skirting campaign finance laws. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You that AOC was removed from this board, but we ask that anything either AOC or the Justice Democrats do that is against Your will fall to the ground without consequence.

-"Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." (1 Cor 10:12)

6. Trump nominates former Delta executive to lead FAA - The Hill

President Trump on Tuesday nominated former Delta Air Lines executive Steve Dickson to lead the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The announcement comes at a critical time for the FAA, which as been the subject of questions and criticism over its handling of Boeing's 737 Max 8 aircraft. A 737 Max 8 was involved in an Ethiopian Airlines crash earlier this month that killed 157 people, and in a Lion Air crash in Indonesia last October that left 189 people dead.

The FAA insisted the planes were safe in the wake of the Ethiopian Airlines crash amid mounting political pressure and after numerous countries opted to ground the aircraft pending an investigation. The Trump administration eventually followed suit and temporarily halted use of the planes.

Dickson's nomination comes roughly 14 months after the last administrator, Michael Huerta, departed at the conclusion of his five-year term. Daniel Elwell has led the agency in an acting capacity since then. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that if this nomination is your choice for the FAA, You will grant him wisdom.

- "Happy is the man who finds wisdom; and the man who gains understanding."

7. Chinese-Americans see ghost of communism in Democrats' leftward turn - Washington Examiner

As Democrats embrace policies such as so-called "Medicare for all," "free" college, 70 percent tax rates, the "Green New Deal," and late-term abortion, Republicans see an opportunity to frame the 2020 election as a referendum on socialism.

The Republican Party's anti-communism has long attracted many Cubans, Vietnamese, Eastern Europeans, and other immigrants who fled communist countries during the Cold War. Chinese immigrants have historically been an afterthought. But their numbers are rising. There are more than 3 million Chinese immigrants living in America today, up from fewer than half a million in 1980.

8. Washington state deputy was killed by illegal immigrant, ICE says
- Fox News

A road rage suspect who investigators say shot and killed a Washington state sheriff's deputy and wounded a police officer earlier this week was in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities said Thursday.

In an email to Fox News, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokeswoman Tanya Roman said 29-year-old Juan Manuel Flores Del Toro, a Mexican citizen, entered the U.S. at Laredo, Texas, in April 2014 on a temporary agricultural worker visa.

Roman said ICE had no record of him leaving the United States or extending his visa after it expired. Local police said Flores Del Toro lived in Ellensburg, a university city of 20,000 residents 100 miles east of Seattle in agriculturally rich central Washington.

Investigators say Flores Del Toro fatally shot 42-year-old Kittitas County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Thompson and wounded 22-year-old Kittitas Police Officer Benito Chavez Tuesday night after they attempted to stop his vehicle following a driving complaint. He allegedly emerged from his vehicle and opened fire on the officers after a short pursuit.

The suspect was later shot by officers who returned fire, and was pronounced dead a short time later at Kittitas Valley Hospital.

Ellensburg Police Capt. Dan Hansberry said there were no warrants pending for his arrest, and officers do not know why he fled the attempted stop. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask for a solution to the immigration issue that protects our citizens and law enforcement from these acts of violence.

9. UK denies asylum to Iranian convert to Christianity, saying the religion is not 'peaceful' - Fox News

The U.K. government agency in charge of immigration has come under fire for denying political asylum to an Iranian convert to Christianity and explaining its decision on its contention that the religion is not peaceful. The Iranian man had said in his asylum petition that he converted to Christianity because it was a "peaceful" religion.

The U.K. Home Office, which oversees immigration and passports, among other things, sent the Iranian national a letter that said the book of Revelations is "filled with imagery of revenge, destruction, death and violence," according to the Independent.

It cited excerpts from the Bible, according to the newspaper, and added: "These examples are inconsistent with your claim that you converted to Christianity after discovering it is a 'peaceful' religion, as opposed to Islam which contains violence, rage and revenge." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that this decision be reversed and the officials who decided it be shown the truth.

- "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:10)

10. Vermont Legislature Bans Pastor from Giving Prayer After He Prays for "Everyone's Right to Life" - Life News

Vermont senators banned a pastor from giving devotions to the legislative body after he spoke in January about the precious value of every human life. The Rev. Rosaire Bisson, assistant pastor at Christ Community Alliance Church in Barre, recently was suspended from the Vermont Senate for a year, according to True North Reports.

The state House and Senate frequently invite religious leaders to give short, non-political devotions at the beginning of most session days. Bisson spoke on Jan. 30, around the time when state lawmakers began debating a radical pro-abortion bill to keep abortions legal for basically any reason up to birth, the report states.

Though Bisson did not mention abortion, pregnancy or unborn babies at all in his devotion, some senators apparently thought his message about "everyone's right to life" was too controversial and banned him.

Bisson began his devotion by quoting the Declaration of Independence, which emphasizes that human beings have an unalienable right to life, according to the local news, which reprinted the pastor's remarks. (Read more)

- "Lord, we ask that You be with Pastor Bisson and comfort him. We pray for You to visit the leadership of Vermont and show them the truth so that the egregious abortion legislation passed will be repealed.

- "For law will proceed from Me, and I will make My justice rest as a light of the peoples." (Isaiah 51:4c)

11. 'No God But Allah' Echoes Across New Zealand a Week After Mosque Shooting - CNS News

As New Zealanders marked the one-week anniversary of the worst mass shooting in the country's history, the state-owned radio and television network broadcast live the Islamic call to prayer, and people were encouraged to wear a headscarf as a "show of solidarity" with the Muslim community.

Both elements of the day's commemorations stoked controversy. With the country remembering the 50 Muslims shot dead and dozens hurt in the attack on two Christchurch mosques during Friday prayers, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced Thursday that commemoration would include a live broadcast of the call to prayer.

"I know from many there is a desire to show support to the Muslim community as they return to mosques, particularly on Friday," she told reporters. "There is also a desire amongst New Zealanders to mark the week that has passed since the terrorist attack. To acknowledge this, there will be a two-minute silence on Friday. We will also broadcast nationally, via TVNZ and Radio New Zealand, the call to prayer." (Read more)

- Lord, all across New Zealand, we ask that Your Spirit begin to move. We pray for acts of repentance, and change of hearts for all who have fallen under the false religion of Islam.

- "Through Your precept I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:104)

11. Maryland Senate Committee Advances Bill Allowing Physician-Assisted Suicide for Terminally Ill - ChristianNews.net

The Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee voted on Friday to advance a bill that allows terminally ill patients to request a lethal prescription to hasten their death.

Senate Bill 311, also known as the End of Life Options Act, had been presented this legislative season by Sen. Will Smith, D-Silver Spring, and has 18 co-sponsors-all Democratic.

The legislation would permit residents who are have been diagnosed with an "irreversible" medical condition that "within a reasonable degree of medical certainty" will result in death within six months to request a life-ending drug to bring their health battle to a close. (Read more)

- Oh, Lord! Just reading this headline causes us to groan. Help us, O Lord, and deliver the citizens of Maryland from the passage of this bill. Have mercy, O God, we pray, amen.

- 'Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop.'

No peace despite Mueller report

After 22 months and over $25 million, the Special Counsel investigation into whether Donald Trump or his campaign conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential campaign is over. The report, according to a four-page summary issued by Attorney General William Barr, stated:"[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities." Further, Barr's statement said, "the Special Counsel did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign."

Unfortunately, Special Counsel Robert Mueller left the door open for this ongoing coup attempt to continue. Yes, continue. Mueller said "he employed 19 lawyers who were assisted by a team of approximately 40 FBI agents, intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, and other professional staff. The Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses." Yet Mueller reported that after making a "thorough factual investigation" into obstruction of justice by Trump or his team, the Special Counsel did not draw a conclusion.

Barr reported that "the report sets out evidence on both sides of the question and leaves unresolved what the Special Counsel views as "difficult issues" of law and fact concerning whether the President's actions and intent could be viewed as obstruction. The Special Counsel states that "while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."" This leaves the door wide open for the coup-makers to continue their obstruction of government and communist-style investigations at taxpayer expense for as long as they would like. In the same breath, Mueller also gave the people a platform on which to demand an end to these investigations.

The report "identifies no actions that, in our judgment, constitute obstructive conduct, had a nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding, and were done with corrupt intent, each of which, under the Department's principles of federal prosecution guiding charging decisions, would need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to establish an obstruction-of justice offense." So the coup will continue with one side wanting further investigations and the other side wanting the coup to stop. Isn't it time We the People should demand an end to this nonsensical cover up to the dastardly doings with Russia by the Clintons, the immediate past president and the Democratic National Committee. But then again, as Jeremiah 6:14 states, "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace."

Have a blessed and powerful day,

The Collusion Delusion

The Collusion Delusion

"Democrats have been consumed for two years with a flimsy conspiracy theory aimed at delegitimizing a presidential election they lost," the Washington Examiner editorial board writes. "But it's over now. An exhaustive federal investigation just put the nail in the coffin of the collusion delusion. If the Democrats and our major media are capable of shame, they will be chastened by this experience."

Special counsel Robert Mueller, backed by a team of 40 FBI special agents, analysts, and other experts, issued more than 2,800 subpoenas and 500 search warrants, and interviewed 500 witnesses. The conclusion, as summarized by Attorney General William Barr: " The Special's Counsel investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election."
Underlining Barr's conclusion, Mueller has served up no new indictments. This should finally put to bed the ubiquitous and never-ending speculation that became a substitute for news reporting all day, every day on some cable news networks for the last 22 months.

Ever since May 2017, if you found FOX News to be too pro-Trump, you could always turn to CNN or MSNBC and be told with great certainty, on almost any evening and for almost any reason, that "the walls are closing in" and that Trump's days were numbered. Night after night, this was the story.

Now, that show is over. It was all fake news.

Although Mueller's report is less conclusive on the question of obstruction of justice, Barr's letter adds that, based on that report, "Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction-of-justice offense." MY SAVIOR FIRST OF ALL

"When I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing Your likeness." Psalm (17:15)

Lyrics

When my life work is ended, And I cross the swelling tide, When the bright and glorious morning I shall see; I shall know my Redeemer When I reach the other side, And His smile will be the first to welcome me.

Refrain

I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.

Oh, the soul thrilling rapture When I view His blessèd face, And the luster of His kindly beaming eye; How my full heart will praise Him For the mercy, love and grace, That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.

Refrain

Oh, the dear ones in glory, How they beckon me to come, And our parting at the river I recall; To the sweet vales of Eden They will sing my welcome home; But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

Refrain

Through the gates to the city In a robe of spotless white, He will lead me where no tears will ever fall; In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight; But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

About the Hymn:

There appeared in London a man who styled himself the messiah, and for many weeks a large crowd was attracted to him. One night, however, as he was talking in one of the open squares in the city, a small band of the Salvation Army passed along, singing,

"I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand."
The great throng joined in the chorus. Finally someone pointed at the self-styled Christ and said, "Look at his hands and see if the print of the nails is there." They did as directed, but no print appeared, and they at once left off following him. (Read more)

After devastating cyclone, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi look to God

Ten days after Cyclone Idai left at least 750 dead and more than 100,000 scrounging for survival in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi on southeast Africa's Indian Ocean coast, government officials and others turned to God for comfort in worship services on Sunday.

Mozambique's death toll rose to 446 from 417, a government official told Reuters Sunday. U.N. agencies suggested between 154 and 259 people died from the cyclone in Zimbabwe and another 56 in Malawi.

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe told his country during a service at the Methodist Church in Mabelreign, Harare on Sunday that the death toll was rising and could reach 200.

"Some citizens were swept away to Mozambique and because of the decomposing state of their bodies, we have agreed that they be buried in Mozambique. Some could have been washed away to the ocean," he said according to 24 News. Mnangagwa declared two days of mourning for the victims and told his countrymen that it is in times like these people should look to God.

"As people, we do not know anything. We only get to know something after it would have occurred but God knows everything, even things to come in future. Job lost all his children and wealth but he never turned away from God," he said.

"We should accept this although it is difficult, even for me. Sometimes we ask God why He allows such things to happen and also if He still exists. We cannot direct God but we just accept what He has done. Let us pray and seek God when we still can as disaster can come anytime and in different forms. We are all sinners and we should all go to Jesus when we are still alive," he continued.
In Mozambique, even as the death toll continued rising on Sunday, worshippers gathered at ravaged churches in the devastated port of Beira where the category 2 storm made landfall.

"We asked Jesus to protect us, so that this does not happen again," one Christian woman, Maria Domingas, 60, who survived trees crashing into her house and water filling her bedroom, told Reuters.

About 150 members of the evangelical Universal Church in Beira gathered for worship on the patio of their church despite significant damage to their building including the loss of their roof.

"You can see the strength in their eyes," their 36-year-old pastor, known as Junior said. "From today, we are looking forward."

"Only with God can we move forward," Rosa Manuel, 59, a church member who lost a house she had built to rent said.

Government officials in Mozambique said the cyclone had affected 531,000 people and 110,000 people are living in makeshift camps.
At the service in Zimbabwe, the Methodist Church general secretary, Reverend Jimmy Dube said it was the role of the church to step in during times of grief. "The victims have received food, clothing drugs and all the material things but the church should assist them to come to terms with the grief, so that they do not collapse inside," Dube said.

"People are trying to come to terms with the grief and anger. They are asking God why this happened and why He remained silent and never alerted them. Some are even asking is there [a] God while others ask God why people have perished through floods when He had made a covenant that He will not destroy humanity through floods," he continued. "We do not have answers. Today is an important day as it allows healing. We cannot continue as if nothing has happened. We have come together to express our grief and God will heal us of the trauma. The church should help us to pick up the broken pieces." (The Christian Post) Read more.

'There Was a Beginning':

Famous Geophysicist Explains Why Christian Creation Theory Makes Sense,
Even Though He's Not a Christian

Stephen C. Meyer is a geophysicist and author of New York Times bestseller, "Darwin's Doubt." Despite not being a Christian himself, Meyer explained that, after years of scientific study, he had come to the conclusion that there simply must be an intelligent designer behind our creation.

In addition, contrary to many within his discipline, Meyer believes that the scientific study of the origins of the universe has a great number of things in common with the central tenets of theistic beliefs. In a wide-ranging interview on the Ben Shapiro Show, Meyer also criticized Darwin's evolutionary theory as being unable to answer the biggest question of all-how did life actually begin? About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
