"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"

Did you know??

. . . One-third of the members of the Democratic Party in our nation are . . . PRO-LIFE!

An organization called DEMOCRATS FOR LIFE IN AMERICA is representing pro-life Democrats within the true "big tent" party, DFLA works across a broad spectrum of life ethics. We recognize that people of good faith have different approaches to these issues; therefore, we refuse to use a single issue as a "litmus test" to exclude those who would otherwise seek common ground with us on the expansion of human rights.

> > > We quote from their site:

We encourage all people committed to the common good to work together to protect human life at all of its stages.

Focus on Israel

1. State Department: Pompeo to Travel to Kuwait, Lebanon, Israel Next Week - The Algemeiner

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will travel to Israel, Lebanon and Kuwait next week, including talks with Cypriot and Greek leaders in Jerusalem on energy security in the Mediterranean, the State Department said on Friday.

In Kuwait City, Pompeo will seek to strengthen cooperation on defense, cybersecurity and trade, spokesman Robert Palladino said in a statement.

In Israel, which is preparing for key elections next month, he will meet with Cypriot and Greek leaders to discuss exporting natural gas to Europe, Palladino added. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that You grant journeying mercies to our Secretary of State during this strategic mission. We ask that all he will set his hand to during these talks will prosper, so that peace and good will can be advanced among all of our allies in the Middle East. Amen.

- "Who can harm you if you are zealous for what is good?" (I Peter 3:13)

2. IDF strikes over 100 Hamas targets after terrorists fire 11 rockets into Israel - World Israel News

After striking over 100 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Friday, the Israeli army announced its targets had included a Gaza City building used to plan and command Hamas terror activities, an underground complex that served as Hamas' main rocket-manufacturing site, and a center used for Hamas drone development.

There were no reports of casualties in Gaza. The Israeli strikes were part of a retaliatory operation after terrorists in Gaza launched a late-night rocket attack on Tel Aviv, Israel's densely populated commercial and cultural capital, marking a dramatic escalation in hostilities.

In total, Palestinian terrorists fired two rockets at Tel Aviv and nine rockets at Israeli communities along the Gaza border, with Israel's Iron Dome intercepting seven of these rockets and the others falling in areas away from civilians. No Israelis were injured in the attacks. It was the first time Tel Aviv had been targeted since a 2014 war between Israel and the Hamas terror group.

3. Israel and Hamas agree to Egyptian-brokered ceasefire - JNS

(March 15, 2019 / JNS) Israel and Hamas have agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire on Friday, reported The Times of Israel, citing the Israeli public broadcaster Kan. Israel has yet to confirm the reports.

The move comes after two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip in the direction of Tel Aviv on Thursday night.

"Two rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory. The alert and warning systems operated as required," said the Israel Defense Forces. "No interceptions were made by aerial-defense systems. No damage or injuries were reported. There are no special instructions for the civilian home front."

4. WATCH: 'Al-Aqsa Mosque in Quran Is Not in Jerusalem,' Syrian Scholar Explains - United With Israel

Syrian scholar Firas Al-Sawwah recently explained on Al-Hurra TV that the Al-Aqsa Mosque mentioned in the Quran was not in fact in Jerusalem, and that instead the caliph Abd Al-Malik Ibn Marwan built a holy place in Jerusalem and called it "Al-Aqsa."

Al-Sawwah also called for an Arab-Muslim "cultural revival" to assess key elements of Islamic theology for their soundness, recalling with mirth the stories he was told in school that he found impossible to swallow being "raised on modern thought."

5. Iran Inches Closer Toward its Goal of 'Wiping Israel Off the Map' - United With Israel

Iran's military activities and clear public threats to annihilate Israel continue to grow in frequency and intensity. These moves not only instill fear, as they are doubtless meant to do; they also threaten to disrupt the international community.

With such dire promises of conflict, it would be expected that the international news media and politicians throughout the world would have something to say about this situation. Instead, Iran's continued abusive behavior continues to be cozied up to at worst, or at best, ignored.

One of the core pillars and revolutionary ideals of the Islamic Republic is destroying the Jewish state. It is also one of the religious prophecies of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and his successor, the current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that Israel will be eventually erased from the face of the earth. As Iran's theocratic establishment believes that the Supreme Leader is Allah's representative on earth, whatever words or desires the Supreme Leader utters are considered wishes, which must be brought to life by Allah's true believers. - Abba- We thank You that no weapon formed against Israel shall prosper. We give thanks for your promises and for Your protection of your children. As we approach the Feast of Purim and remember the bravery of Esther to call forth prayer and fasting, that the plans of the enemy would be stopped. We too ask You, Father, to raise up an army of prayer warriors to cry out in prayer and fasting for the people of Israel. Raise up the intercessors for such a time as this! We pray Father, that the spiritual "Hamans" will be hung upon their own gallows and that You will bring deliverance and joy to all of Israel. In the mighty name of Yeshua we pray, amen.

9. Tensions on Temple Mount on Knife Edge - BFP

. . . Israeli security forces saw no escalation until Tuesday's firebomb incident. Although the Temple Mount was reopened the following day, tensions still remain on a knife edge as nothing regarding the situation with the Golden Gate chamber has actually been resolved.

Moreover, with tensions high in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria, the Temple Mount has the potential to become a flashpoint for these volatile areas.

The official policy on the Mount is to maintain the status quo, but with the Waqf refusing to cooperate, the potential for further violence remains high as ever. (Read more)
- Pray that the Lord will move strongly on behalf of Israel, easing tensions and restoring calm to the place where the Temple once stood and where He placed His heart forever.

- "I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually." (1 Kings 9:3b)

10. As Gaza Tensions Continue, Netanyahu Warns Israel "Will Do Everything Necessary" - BFP

More rockets were fired from Gaza at Israel over the weekend and Israel responded with air strikes on terror targets. As the tensions between Israel and terrorists in the Gaza Strip brew, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a warning to those who think that next month's election in Israel will prevent Israel from engaging in another full-scale military operation in Gaza.

"I suggest to Hamas-don't count on it. We will do everything necessary to restore security and quiet to the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip and to the south in general," said Netanyahu on Sunday in comments released by his office. (Read more)

- Pray that Israel will stand strong against Hamas's violence and intimidation. Ask that the upcoming elections will not influence the government's decisions regarding defense nor in any way be influenced by those decisions.

- "Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; preserve me from violent me, who plan evil things in their hearts; they continually gather together for war." (Psalm 140:1-2)

11. US Senator Vows Plan to Recognize Golan as Israel's "Now and Forever" - BFP

In a significant diplomatic win for Israel, US Senator Lindsay Graham-a former candidate for president and a key member of US President Donald Trump's Republican political party-on Monday openly endorsed Israeli sovereignty over the strategic Golan Heights that border Syria. "I've got a simple message. I will go back to the United States Senate. Working with Senator (Ted) Cruz, I will start an effort to recognize the Golan as part of the State of Israel now and forever," said Graham during a visit to the Golan with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in comments published by Netanyahu's office.

Graham didn't stop there, continuing by highlighting that the history behind the territory Israel captured from Syria during the 1967 war is further evidence that Israel should keep it. "Israel occupied this territory by fighting for its survival. This territory was taken by military force because it was used as a launching point to attack the State of Israel. This territory has a rich Jewish history," said Graham.

Perhaps even more important than Graham's endorsement, US Ambassador David Friedman-the American representative of President Trump to Israel-was not only present with Graham on the Golan, he sounded moved by the senator's comments. (Read more)

- Praise the Lord for US Senator Graham's outspoken support of Israel. Pray that he will have great success in influencing others as he speaks boldly of Israel's rightful, eternal sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

- "Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God." (Genesis 17:8)

The Daily Brief

1. Ocasio-Cortez's 'unfavorable' rating skyrockets, with most people viewing her negatively: poll - FOX News

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's unfavorable rating has spiked after just months in Congress, with most of the public viewing her negatively rather than favorably, a new poll shows. The New York Democrat shot to fame amid the party's lurch to the left and embracement of socialist policies such as the Green New Deal, yet the more people learned about the 29-year-old freshman congresswoman, the more they were turned off by her.

A Gallup poll released Friday shows that Ocasio-Cortez's unfavorable rating has risen by 15 points since last September, when she had yet to win the general election, increasing from 26 percent to 41 percent of the American adults polled.

Since September, Ocasio-Cortez became more widely recognized across the country, with half of the respondents saying they have never heard of her before. Now only a fifth of surveyed people says they aren't familiar with the self-described Democratic socialist.

Overall, the results suggest that Ocasio-Cortez may be a polarizing figure. Most of her support is galvanized around younger, more diverse Democrat-leaning groups, while most of her opposition is composed of Republicans and more conservative Democrat-leaning groups. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that the American people are not, indeed, being mesmerized by the hypnotic force conveyed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), but are rather seeing her for what she is: a messenger of the lies of communism. We pray that, by Your grace, this trend will continue to grow, so that, in the end, the impact of AOC would result in simply being a "flash in the pan" with no lasting impact upon the American people or upon our own form of government.

- "You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (1 Peter 5:5)

2. Donald Trump: White Nationalists a 'Small Group of People' that Have 'Serious Problems' - Breitbart

President Donald Trump disputed the idea that white nationalism was a growing threat around the world at the White House on Friday. Trump was asked by reporters if he believed that white nationalism was a "rising threat around the world."

Trump replied, "I don't really. I think it's a small group of people that have very, very serious problems. I guess if you look at what happened in New Zealand perhaps that's a case, I don't know enough about it yet, they are just learning about the person and the people involved, but it's certainly a terrible thing, terrible thing."

Trump said that he spoke with Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern about the attacks, earlier Friday afternoon. (Read more)

- Father God, we trust that through this deadly killing in New Zealand, the people who truly have serious problems will seek help from the Lord and receive the deepest healing in their souls. We ask this in the Name of Jesus.

- "That we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil."
(II Thessalonians 3:2-3)

3. Top Defense Officials Slam Google for Providing 'Direct Benefit' to China's Military - Townhall

Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said during a Senate Armed Services Committee Thursday that Google is helping China's military more than it is helping America's military. "The work that Google is doing in China is indirectly benefiting the Chinese military," Dunford said.

"We watch with great concern when industry partners work in China knowing that there is that indirect benefit. Frankly, 'indirect' may be not a full characterization of the way it really is, it is more of a direct benefit to the Chinese military."

Alarmed by what Dunford had told the committee, Republican Sen. Josh Hawley summarized the top general's point: "We have an American company that does not want to do work with our Defense Department, which is one thing, but they're happy to help the Chinese, at least the Chinese government that is, the Chinese military, at least indirectly. I think that's just extraordinary," he said. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that the Chinese who work for Google will be supportive of America's military and not fraternize and support the Chinese military. May Google remove these Chinese from their employment. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work."
(II Thessalonians 2:17)

4. Trump: Mueller Probe 'Illegal' and 'Conflicted' - NewsMax

President Donald Trump, blasting the special counsel's investigation as "illegal" and "conflicted," said there should be no final report by Robert Mueller. His comments came in three tweets posted Friday. Trump wrote: "So, if there was knowingly & acknowledged to be "zero" crime when the Special Counsel was appointed, and if the appointment was made based on the Fake Dossier (paid for by Crooked Hillary) and now disgraced Andrew McCabe (he & all stated no crime), then the Special Counsel should never have been appointed and there should be no Mueller Report. This was an illegal & conflicted investigation in search of a crime. Russian Collusion was nothing more than an excuse by the Democrats for losing an Election that they thought they were going to win THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A PRESIDENT AGAIN!"

Trump's latest attack on the special counsel's probe came as transcripts were released from fired FBI special Agent Peter Strzok's and former FBI counsel Lisa Page's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee last year, Fox News reported. Page, in her testimony, revealed FBI officials had little evidence at the start of the probe, according to the news network. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You will support President Trump in his truthful acknowledgment of all the lies that Hillary Clinton conjured up against him. We ask that God will support the President and will pull down all the insidious acts of Ms. Clinton. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." (Revelation 9:21)

5. The damning proof of innocence that FBI likely withheld in Russian probe - The Hill

If President Trump declassifies evidence in the Russia investigation, Carter Page's summer bike ride to a Virginia farm and George Papadopoulos's hasty academic jaunt to London may emerge as linchpin proof of FBI surveillance abuses during the 2016 election. The two trips have received scant attention. But growing evidence suggests both Trump campaign advisers made exculpatory statements - at the very start of the FBI's investigation - that undercut the Trump-Russia collusion theory peddled to agents by Democratic sources.

The FBI plowed ahead anyway with an unprecedented intrusion into a presidential campaign, while keeping evidence of the two men's innocence from the courts. If such statements exist in transcripts, tapes or FBI reports, they're a major omission. (Read more)

- Almighty God, extend Your hand to pull back the veils that hide the conspiracy and lies of the trumped-up charges against President Trump. Father in heaven, fight for our President and dispatch angels to surround him for protection and deliverance from all the hate-based evil that has poured out from the Democratic camp. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set may feet upon a rock, and established my goings." (Psalm 40:1-2)

6. 'More than smoking guns': Lindsey Graham calls for new Special Counsel to probe Hillary emails, FISA abuse - BPR

Sen. Lindsey Graham blocked a resolution that unanimously passed in the House to release special counsel Robert Mueller's final report to the public. The South Carolina Republican and Judiciary Committee chairman objected to the nonbinding resolution after a refusal by Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer to amend it by calling for a new special counsel to be appointed to investigate the Justice Department's misconduct in handling the Hillary Clinton email probe and Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act applications. "There are a lot of Americans," Graham said from the Senate Floor Thursday, "that believe what happened in 2016 with the Clinton e-mail investigation and the FISA warrant against Carter Page showed corruption at the highest level of government."

"I agree that there's more than smoking guns here. There is overwhelming evidence that somebody outside the political system should look into. I can't find anybody much on the other side who seems to give a damn about that," Graham continued. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we pray and trust that by Your almighty power the investigation will go forward with an unhindered thrust to uncover the truth regarding Hillary Clinton's emails and the corruption of Carter Page. We pray and trust in the Name of Jesus.

- "Blessed is that man that makes the Lord His trust and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies." (Psalm 40:4)

7. Suspect In Kavanaugh Confirmation Doxxing Has Feinstein Ties, Allegedly Possessed Senate Data. DOJ May Hide The Details - Daily Caller

A former Senate aide charged with doxxing Republican senators and extorting a witness comes from an elite family with ties to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. Prosecutors signaled Tuesday that they might give the aide, Jackson Cosko, a plea deal that would prevent the facts of the case from ever being learned publicly.

During Justice Brett Kavanaugh's September 2018 confirmation hearing, Cosko - a former IT aide who once managed Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan's office computer accounts - allegedly posted to Wikipedia the home addresses of Republican senators who supported the Supreme Court justice. U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan on Jan. 24 said Cosko allegedly possessed terabytes of information, including Senate data so sensitive that it could not be discussed in open court. "He downloaded more information than was originally understood. There is no combination of conditions that could ensure the safety of the community," Hogan said in December 2018. Prosecutors underscored that he was a flight risk and that they had concerns he would engage in obstruction of justice. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You will intervene in a mighty way to reveal the truth and uncover any and all matters that obstruct justice. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "He that works deceit shall not dwell within may house: he that tells lies shall not be established. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord." (Psalm 101:7-8)

8. California: After 9 ICE Detainers Declined, Illegal Immigrant Arrested for Killing Woman - DC Clothesline

A 59 year old woman in South San Jose was brutally murdered by a man that ICE states they tried to deport NINE times, but California authorities declined to accept their detainers. So Carlos Carranza, an illegal immigrant Salvadoran national with a long criminal history was allowed back on the streets.

Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza, 24, has been convicted of kidnapping, drug possession, battery on a police officer, trespassing, burglary, and was diagnosed with psychosis in 2016, according to NBC. Yet California authorities in both Santa Clara County and Los Angeles refused to cooperate with ICE and hold him at least 48 hours past when he was to be released so they could get a warrant. Carranza was arrested on charges of Meth, and a sample of his DNA was matched to that left at the crime scene. He was arrested for the murder on Monday. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray for the bereaved family of this woman who was killed, even brutally killed, and feel their regret that Carranza was not deported earlier. God, impart godly wisdom into the minds of the California authorities who allowed this man to remain in the States. Let this never happen again. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "If, when evil comes upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in the Lord's presence, for Your Name is in this house, and cry unto You in our affliction, then You will hear and help." (II Chronicles 20:9)

9. If POTUS Trump designates Mexican cartels as terrorist groups, will U.S. sanctuary cities be aiding and abetting 'terrorism'? - National Sentinel

In recent days two GOP lawmakers introduced legislation that would require the State Department to name certain Mexico-based cartels as terrorist organizations after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asked for the designation.

One question being bandied about is how will a terrorist designation impact sanctuary jurisdictions in the U.S. who receive and harbor the illegal aliens smuggled in by the cartels. Some have suggested that would amount to aiding and abetting terrorist organizations, which of course is a felonious activity.

In October 2017, an article published on the website of the Association of Mature American Citizens, a conservative alternative to AARP, asked, "Why are Sanctuary Cities Helping Mexican Heroin Cartels?"

Specifically, the article posed this scenario "It may be time for the Justice Department to start looking into the possibility that sanctuary jurisdictions are not harboring illegal aliens simply because they are liberal do-gooders who believe in open borders and non-enforcement of immigration law. Maybe they are being bribed by the cartels. Or worse, infiltrated." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that the Mexican cartels be categorized as terrorist groups. Father establish new laws regarding sanctuary cities that have been used to aid and abet terrorism. This system needs immediate attention to change and we ask the Lord to make it happen, speedily. We pray in Jesus' Name.

- "Woe to the rebellious people, says the Lord, that take counsel, but not of Me; and that cover with a covering, but not of My spirit, that they may add sin to sin,"
(Isaiah 29:1)

10. State Attorneys General: Donald Trump's National Emergency Declaration is Constitutional - USA Today

"President Donald Trump's emergency declaration is a proper use of executive power to protect our country's borders and keep Americans safe," state Attorneys General Ken Paxton (R-TX), Curtis Hill (R-IN), and Jeff Landry (R-LA) write in USA Today.

"Unfortunately, the crisis at the southern border is one that only the federal government may truly solve. With no solutions coming from Congress, the president is faithfully executing the duties of his office by invoking a law Congress already passed: the National Emergencies Act." (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that the attorney generals of these states have upheld the president's right to veto this wicked bill, in order to insure the safety of our people. Thank You, Lord, amen.

- "The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt Him." (Exodus 15:2)

11. First man recognized as 'nonbinary' in US regrets taking hormones, warns against trans 'sham' - Christian Post

The first man in the United States to be legally recognized as "nonbinary" now says it was a "sham," and notes that mainstream media and LGBT organizations treat him as though he does not exist. In a Wednesday interview with The Christian Post, when asked what he would tell young people who have begun believing they are transgender or nonbinary, Shupe said he knows they have been led to think that gender identities are real but they are not. "Now, I want to live again as the man that I am," Shupe wrote Monday, elaborating that while he took hormones and participated in "medical transgenderism" for several years, he never had surgery. Shupe went on to detail how the transgender community billed life as the opposite sex as wonderful and fulfilling when in fact it only made him more miserable. (Read more)

- Great God of heaven, we pray for this man and ask that his testimony will be published in every media outlet in the United States which we pray will prevent others from following the path this poor man took. We pray in the mighty Name of Jesus.

- "Who is among you that fears the Lord, that obeys the voice of His servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the Name of the Lord, and rest upon God." (Isaiah 50:10)

Double-minded Congress raise Constitutional crisis

The Senate voted 59-41 Thursday to block President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration to build a wall at the US-Mexico border. The House passed the bill last month. Trump tweeted "veto" after the Senate vote. Those Republicans voting against the emergency resolution were: Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Susan Collins (R-ME), Mike Lee (R-UT), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Rand Paul (R-KY), Pat Toomey (R-PA), Rob Portman (R-OH), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Mit Romney (R-UT). Some Republican senators voted against the Emergency Resolution because they believe it should not be used to circumvent the Constitution.

The Constitution requires the House of Representatives to originate spending bills. The border wall will cost several billion dollars and the House refuses to authorize money for it. It is all part of the obstructionist game the House Democrats are playing to undermine the Trump presidency-anything he wants, they oppose. The Democrats in Congress, assisted by a handful of like-minded Republicans have brought government to a standstill, mainly over the hate of Trump. Some could argue that this is not true, but just turn on a news program and it is self-evident. These establishment politicians didn't get the president they wanted so they are shutting things down until he is removed from office. This is the real Constitutional crisis.

Those standing on Constitutional principle, or who are making the Constitutional argument, should at least be consistent. Article 6 Clause 3 of the Constitution requires members of the House and Senate to support the Constitution. The Senate oath of office says, "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." The House oath is similar. Defending the Constitution implies upholding the laws of the nation and protecting national security. The inconsistency for Congress is that it is allowing an invasion of illegal immigrants into this country at great risk to national security.

Herein, they are not upholding or defending the Constitution. To say that they oppose an Emergency Resolution that would protect national security on Constitutional grounds is therefore hypocritical. Congress thus far has opted to oppose any plan that would protect our nation's borders. Whether it is a wall or some other effective measure, arguments that this illegal invasion is not a matter of national security do not meet the straight face test. They say they are upholding the Constitution by their vote against Trump's national security resolution, yet they are ignoring their duty to require enforcement of border security. What does the Bible say about these things -- James 1:8, "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

"Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?"

Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, who made the stars of night
I will make their darkness bright

IF YOU ARE WITHIN DRIVING RANGE TO ASSIST, GET YOUR GEAR SQUARED AWAY, CONTACT US ( or call 402-604-4343), AND ROLL OUT. WE NEED YOUR HELP. You DO NOT need to be a member of Oath Keepers to help. We will be based in Aurora, NE and will deploy out from there into affected areas. See details below.
From past experience, we need funds to cover gas, food, equipment (such as radios) and supplies for our volunteers, as well as airfare for our top team leaders and key skillsets (such as medics). Food, water, and fuel are critically needed in affected areas. Fuel shortages are common, and the local water treatment plants have been compromised. Please help by making a donation! Oath Keepers has done amazing work in the wake of hurricanes in North Carolina, Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, now we need to help our Nebraska brothers and sisters. Please donate to support our efforts.

Bullet Shot through Side of Home is Only Stopped by Framed Copy of The Lord's Prayer

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (CBS Local) - A Kansas woman says a bullet that flew into her home was stopped by what she describes as an act of God.

Constance Effie, 70, said was sitting in her living room inside her home Saturday evening when she heard what she thought was a bomb.

"I thought maybe our TV blew up," Effie told WDAF. "I thought I was in a war zone because that was the loudest noise I ever heard." The noise was a bullet that hit the side of her house.

"We looked all around and didn't see a hole anywhere and I thought, 'Look, that picture - the glass is all broken,'" she said.

The picture that stopped the bullet was hanging two feet above where she was sitting. It just happened to be a framed copy of the Lord's Prayer.

"It hit [the picture] and fell down behind [the couch]. But if it hadn't had the metal there, it might've came on in and hit one of us," she said.

Effie and her husband, who was also inside the home at the time, were not injured but she was briefly hospitalized after the shooting for what she called a minor, stress-related heart attack.

Effie says she hears gunshots in her neighborhood all the time. She does not know who's responsible but wishes they would stop.

"We just hope and pray they understand not to do this anymore," Effie said.

Police are investigating the shooting, but do not have any suspects at this time.

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes all who wish to pray for our leaders to join us in prayer for our nation. You may sign up to receive our alerts by sending an email to us at requesting that your name be added to our list of subscribers.
