"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"

Tonight at 6:00 p.m. EST!!

Focus on Israel

1. Bennett, Kahlon said pushing for elections on March 26, but PM still resisting - Times of Israel

Party leaders Naftali Bennett, head of the Jewish Home party, and Kulanu chair Moshe Kahlon, both significant members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud-led coalition, have agreed to push for national elections to be held on March 26, 2019, Hadashot news reported Saturday night.

The report came as both Bennett and Kahlon voiced their clear support on Saturday for a national vote well ahead of November 2019, when the current government's term is set to end.

Each argued in separate interviews aired Saturday that the sudden resignation last week of Avigdor Liberman as defense minister over the Gaza ceasefire, and the departure of his Yisrael Beytenu party from the coalition, leaving it with a 61-59 majority in the 120-seat Knesset, left the government untenably weakened and new elections are warranted.

2. Netanyahu said to tell ministers he may not be able to hold coalition together - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly told ministers in his coalition that he will not be able to appoint Education Minister Naftali Bennett of the Jewish Home party to the defense minister post because of opposition to the move from other coalition partners, a development which likely puts Israel on course for early elections.

According to Channel 10 news, Netanyahu told ministers during meetings throughout the day that the main stumbling bloc to keeping the coalition together was the ultimatum from the national-religious Jewish Home party that its leader Bennett be given the newly vacated defense ministry, or it will topple the government. According to reports on Channel 10 and Hadashot news, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, who already called for elections in the wake of the sudden resignation this week of Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, is vetoing Bennett's appointment. Neither report cited sources from the closed-door meetings.

3. Bennett, Shaked expected to resign on Monday- Israel National News

The Jewish Home party's two senior ministers are expected to resign their positions in the government Monday morning, after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu refused their demand that Jewish Home chief Naftali Bennett be appointed as Defense Minister, following the resignation of former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman.

On Sunday night, Netanyahu announced that he would serve as Defense Minister, replacing Avigdor Liberman, who resigned last weekover the decision to accept an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with the Hamas terror organization.

Both Liberman and the Jewish Home had protested the ceasefire agreement.

Following Liberman's resignation, the Jewish Home issued an ultimatum to Netanyahu, demanding that Bennett be tapped to replace Liberman, or the party would bolt the coalition and force early elections.

4. Kahlon: We knew Gaza truce would be unpopular, but security chiefs unanimous-Times of Israel

Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon said Saturday that the Israeli government knew that the truce with Palestinian terror group Hamas in the Gaza Strip would not be a popular decision, but that security chiefs were unanimous in their recommendations that this was the right course of action.

In an interview on Hadashot TV, Kahlon said the decision "came from a sense of great responsibility," but "we knew it would be unpopular."

The truce with Hamas last week prompted Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to resign on Wednesday, has drawn criticism from some residents of southern Israel who accuse the government of being soft on the terror group, and seems to have put Israel on course to early elections.

5. Tel Aviv is our next target, Hamas declares - World Israel News

At a rally Friday attended by hundreds in Gaza, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar waved a handgun in the air, shouting into the microphone that Israel's economic capital was in imminent danger.

"Next time, the barrage of rockets will reach Tel Aviv and Gush Dan [the surrounding area]," he declared in a display of power at a memorial event for seven terrorists who were killed by Israeli special forces during a firefight last Sunday. That incident set off the latest attack by Hamas and Islamic Jihad in which 470 rockets and mortars were fired at southern Israeli communities over the next day and a half.

The Iron Dome defensive system shot down approximately one hundred missiles, but several dozen managed to hit populated areas, injuring dozens and destroying several homes and businesses.

Israel retaliated by hitting some 150 targets, including terrorist tunnels and command centers in precision bombing attacks, killing only a handful of terrorists. The IDF had warned Gazans about the locations of the bombings ahead of time in order to prevent civilian casualties.

The Daily Brief

1. Florida Democrats' Alleged Election Fraud 'Potentially Grounds for RICO' Investigation - Breitbart

An effort to allegedly add Democrat votes after Election Day in Florida is "potentially grounds for a RICO" investigation, an election fraud expert says. The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) research director Eric Eggers exclusively told SiriusXM Patriot's Breitbart News Tonight's Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak that a report revealing that Florida Democrats asked voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day is a "smoking gun" and could possibly lead to a racketeering investigation.

Eggers said, "I spoke with a Republican attorney today who is quite familiar with this and connected to the inter-workings and they believe that it is not only the smoking gun, but it is potentially the grounds for a RICO case - this is not over. They sent altered forms out with the hopes that they could just get away with it because they could get some sympathetic judges who say, 'Well, this is what the forms that these people received said so I guess we'll have to go along with it.'

At the end of the day, the basic argument in Florida right now is this: Should the laws that were in place on the day of the election be upheld. And the Republicans are saying yes and the Democrats are saying no." As Breitbart News's Joel Pollak reported, Florida Democrats allegedly asked voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day, using an official form that had been altered to make it look as though voters were doing so within the legal deadline.

- Father God in heaven, we pray for these Florida Democrats who are creating a calamitous circumstance in asking for forged votes after Election Day. God, create a cloud of godliness that will cover the people to stand strong and not be sucked into this evil spirit of dishonesty. Heal their seared conscience to feel guilt and abstain from participating in this unlawful scheme. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "And if your eye often you, pluck it out; it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, then having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Where their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched." (Mark 9:47-48)

2. Cutting razor wire, caravan migrants make a new case for a border wall - American Thinker

After a big public relations buildup about razor wire being installed at the border to keep illegal migrants out, caravan migrants are at it again, this time cutting the newly installed razor wire. Customs and Border Patrol has a video of the crime in San Diego. There's video of another one at the the border in Arizona. Both happened on the exact same day, Nov. 14.

Obviously, it's coordinated, and organized groups want to send a message to the U.S. that its border efforts are useless. As illegals cut razor wire with military precision, it's one more case for building a border wall, and ending the incompetent paper-tiger response we are seeing now. Congress has a couple more months before the leftist deluge. It should get busy right now.

- Father God, we pray that You send a holy wall of fire along the border that will strike a fear in the hearts of these lawless illegal migrants and keep them out. God, send warring angels who will overcome their evil strength and defeat them from entering the United States to desecrate our land. They bring darkness with them. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave His voice; hail stones and coals of fire. Yes, He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot out lightnings, and discomfited them." (Psalm 18:13-14)

3. Trump says it's 'good time to do a shutdown' - Washington Times

With Congress still not on board his border wall plans, President Trump said Saturday that it's a "good time to do a shutdown," suggesting he will refuse to accept any appropriations bills that don't include the $5 billion he's asking for. He did say he doesn't think one will happen because "Democrats will come to their senses" on the issue. And he said he's ready to keep the troops he deployed to the border as long as necessary.

He said before the election he was cooling shutdown talk because Republicans on Capitol Hill convinced him it was hurting them. But with the election over, he appears emboldened again. A shutdown now would be less painful than the GOP-orchestrated 16-day shutdown in 2013 because Congress has already approved - and Mr. Trump signed - five of the 12 annual spending bills into law covering about 70 percent of discretionary government funding. There is a Dec. 7 deadline, though, for funding operations at the State, Interior, Homeland Security, Justice and other departments.

- Father God, we ask that You break the Democrat's strong-arm resistance to President Trump's sound-minded leadership of the United States. Cripple all demonic intrusion against building strong godly leadership in America. Father, guide the President with superior wisdom regarding funding the seven remaining spending bills. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "And what is the exceeding greatness of God's power to usward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power." (Ephesians 1:19)

4. Trump's appointment of Matthew Whitaker as AG challenged in Supreme Court - American Thinker

The fight over the president's appointment of Matthew Whitaker for attorney general took an unusual turn on Friday, when lawyers representing a defendant in a gun case before the Supreme Court, asked the justices to rule on the legality of Whitaker's appointment. The plaintiff was challenging the law that prevents him from purchasing a firearm because of 2 previous convictions for non-violent crimes. Since current Attorney General Jeff Sessions was named in the suit, his lawyers asked the justices to rule on whether Whitaker was the legitimate attorney general.

The court is not required to decide one way or another and could simply ignore or reject the motion. Michaels' lawyers argued that Rosenstein, the department's No. 2 official, should have succeeded Sessions under a federal law that vests full authority in the deputy attorney general should the office of attorney general become vacant.

Some of the same lawyers behind Friday's motion also are involved in a similar effort brought before a federal judge on Tuesday. In that case, Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh asked a federal judge to bar Whitaker from appearing in an official capacity as acting attorney general in the state's ongoing lawsuit against the Trump administration over the Affordable Care Act healthcare law.

- Father, Your all-seeing eyes are looking down from heaven upon Mr. Whitaker's appointment as attorney general, as this case has now come before the Supreme Court. Lord God, we attest to the TRUTH that there is another court that exists far above our own "Supreme Court" -- Your Supreme Court in heaven. We now appeal this case to the Chief Justice in that Court -- the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords -- asking only that Your will be done in this critical matter. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.

- "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)

5. High court obliges Trump, will enter census citizenship fray - Washington Times

The Supreme Court announced Friday it will grant an expedited hearing on the Trump administration's request to add a question concerning citizenship to the 2020 census. The justices set oral argument for February, converting what had been a narrow request involving one part of the case into a full grant of review. At stake is one of President Trump's key goals - asking people to disclose their citizenship when they take part in the 2020 count.

A federal judge in New York has ruled that asking the question isn't inherently illegal - indeed, it was part of censuses up to 1950, and is still asked by the Census Bureau to some smaller sample sizes. But the judge questioned the motives of the Trump administration in asking it. Solicitor General Noel Francisco said the case is a test of whether the courts will grant President Trump the assumption of regularity judges are supposed to give to an administration, not automatically assuming shenanigans or "bad faith."

Immigrant-rights groups are wary of a loss at the high court. "Census data is pivotal in the allocation of billions of dollars in federal funds and the apportionment of political representation, making the proposed citizenship question a critical issue for Latinos and all Americans," said the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.

- Father in heaven, we pray that You support President Trump's request to add a question concerning citizenship to the 2020 census, as the superior intelligent voice in his leadership of the United States. Anoint him to stand and lead according to God's guidance. We thank You, too, that the Supreme Court has called for an expedited hearing in this matter, bringing a swift verdict to bear on this critical issue. Thank You, Lord, amen.

- "For God shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

Please note: All New England states are shown in deep blue - indicating freezing cold. I believe it is a sign of the spiritual temperature of the area as well. "Father, we pray Your judgement will bring many to repentance!!!" (View map here)

6. GOP wins Georgia governor's race as Abrams gives up fight - Washington Times

While claiming "democracy failed Georgia," Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said Friday she will no longer stand in the way of officials, certifying Brian Kemp, the Republican, as the winner. "This is not a concession speech," Ms. Abrams said, delivering a fiery speech to supporters saying the voting process was poisoned from the start by Republicans - and in particular Mr. Kemp, who had been secretary of state until he resigned after the election.

Earlier Friday her team had floated to local reporters the possibility of mounting a long-shot legal bid to overturn the results of the election. That would have required her to prove enough "misconduct, fraud or irregularities" that the outcome was sufficiently put in doubt. She had amassed a team of nearly three dozen lawyers working on the plans, The Associated Press reported.

Ms. Abrams said her next step will be to create an organization dedicated to overhauling Georgia's elections system. She said the group's first step will be a federal lawsuit challenging the way this election was run.

- Father God, we pray that every Democrat that stands in line to oppose the Republican Mr. Kemp be pulled down and brought to utter failure. God, put every evil scheme by the Democrats in quicksand, so that Georgia can have solid leadership in their state. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them." (Palm 35:5)

7. Maine's Bruce Poliquin Loses in Ranked-Choice Voting - Roll Call

Democrat Jared Golden has defeated Maine Rep. Bruce Poliquin in the nation's first use of ranked-choice voting for a congressional race, according to state election officials. The Democrat won just over 50 percent of the vote in the ranked-choice tabulation, meaning he'll be the next congressman from the 2nd District unless Poliquin's legal challenges to the voting system prevail.

A Golden win in the 2nd District, which President Donald Trump carried in 2016, mean Democrats have picked up 35 seats and wiped out all New England Republicans in the House. Poliquin led Golden by less than a point on the first count, but since neither candidate received 50 percent of the vote, the state's ranked-choice voting system kicked in to determine the winner.

The new system, which voters have twice approved at the ballot box, lets voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no one receives a majority, the last-place finisher is eliminated and his or her votes reallocated to the candidates whom voters ranked second. The process continues until someone secures more than 50 percent of the vote.

- Lord God, You see the ruling demon over New England's political and spiritual atmosphere. We pray You target this stronghold by the power of the Blood of Jesus and release this territory and the people from this darkness brought through this insidious ranked-choice voting system. God, we beseech You to obliterate this evil through the power of Your Word and eliminate it's control. Bring the presence of Jesus Christ to this region, we pray in Your Name, amen.

- "The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place." (Psalm 68:17)

8. Media Bias: Pretty Much All Of Journalism Now Leans Left, Study Shows - Investors Business Daily

Ask journalists, and they'll likely tell you they play things right down the middle. They strive to be "fair." They're "centrists." Sorry, not true. The profound leftward ideological bias of the Big Media is the main reason why America now seems saturated with "fake news."

Despite journalists' denials, it's now pretty much a fact that journalism is one of the most left-wing of all professions. This is an enormous problem for the media - perhaps bigger than they realize. A Rasmussen Reports survey in late October found that 45% of all likely voters in the midterm elections believed "that when most reporters write about a congressional race, they are trying to help the Democratic candidate."

A post-election survey of 1,000 voters by McLaughlin & Associates found that "a forceful plurality (48%) of respondents believe the media coverage is unfair and biased" against President Trump. Even 16% of Democrats agreed. It's time the journalistic mainstream addresses this problem. It starts with owners, publishers and editors demanding fairness in their reporting and weeding out obvious bias.

- Father God, the ownership of the media is the core of the problem, including George Soros. So Father God, we pray the Democrats, left-wing journalists, and haters of President Trump be repentant of their sins and turn to the living God to save their souls, lest they be ultimately found headed toward a godless eternity with satan. We thank You for Your love, Holy God, for You went to the Cross and died to save all men from an eternity separated from You. Eternity is a world without end, forever. We pray God's intervention before it is too late. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost." (I Thessalonians 2:16)

9. 'Great Things Are Taking Place Whether The Media Tells Us Or Not': Christian Musicians Hold Spontaneous WH Worship Session - CNS News

A "faith briefing" at the White House this week saw Christian music artists hold an impromptu worship session, singing songs of praise near the Oval Office. In social media posts, some participants, including Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) recording artists, described learning more about the administration's faith-based initiatives, and having what they called an remarkable experience of singing praise songs in that location.

"Yesterday shook me," posted Bethel Church worship leader Jenn Johnson. "I came into the meeting at the White House w/ no agenda but to love & pray. I was overcome to tears w/ deep conviction to pray more for, not only our president but also the men & women leading beside him."

Christian singer and songwriter Kari Jobe said attendees had learned about "incredible things that are going on behind the scenes that media and news never talk about. Projects to rescue victims of Human trafficking, rehabilitate former inmates, take care of foster children, help neighborhoods and communities that are falling apart, help rebuild cities after tragedy just to name a few." Members of We Are Messengers, an Irish worship band based in Nashville, Tenn., said the visit had given them "a genuine sense of Hope for this nation."

- We give praise and overwhelming gratitude to the righteous God of this country, who is moving to raise up our nation to give their lives to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. It is the Lord who heals and restores all people back to God. Father in heaven, we pray for all to turn to You so they will live life and not just exist. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Now God Himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you." (I Thessalonians 3:11-12)

10. Canada Becoming a Potential Base for Terrorists to Attack the US - CBN News

The US and Canada share the longest undefended border in the world. Canada is today the happy home of thousands of radical Islamists, ex-ISIS fighters and the Muslim Brotherhood. Their numbers continue to grow, with Islamists infiltrating the Canadian government on several levels.

Terrorism expert David Harris, who worked for Canada's spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told us a major attack on the United States by Muslim extremists based in Canada is "only a matter of time."

Much of Canada's mainstream media seems to stand with the Islamists. The Toronto Star announced it was no longer using the name 'the Islamic State' because something so barbaric could not be 'Islamic.' Parliament passed the notorious M-103 anti-Islamophobia motion last year. Critics call it an attempt by the government to silence any criticism of Islamists in Canada.

- Our Father who is in heaven, we cry out to You to infiltrate every terrorist heart, every radical Islamist, every ISIS fighter and the Muslim Brotherhood with the power of the Holy Spirit and change their hearts of stone to hearts filled with the love of God. Bring redemption to Canada and save it from internal destruction. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "To the end God may establish their hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints." ( I Thessalonians 3:13)

Praying for the fires in California

Praying for the fires in California

Please note:

The following prayer targets have been posted for today by Maureen Bravo, of the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Call. This is only an excerpt of her excellent, in depth analysis of the situation in California today.

You can call Maureen's prayer line (dedicated to the blessing of our President) by calling 1-712-770-4340
Code: 543555 # -- anytime, day or night. We do honor Maureen for her faithfulness in leading this mighty army of intercessors for the blessing of our land, and we salute her team as they have just celebrated their second anniversary of standing on the wall, together.

RUN TO THE BATTLE

How do we "honor" those who run to the battle instead of running from it? Let us consider and pray for:

- the firemen and first responders who put their own lives on the line, attempting to "hold an impossible line" against the blazing torrents that were sweeping across California and kept fighting, despite being exhausted!
> Offer a prayer for them

- the teams of chaplains who were called into service from across the nation, and had to deliver tragic news to the relatives of those who perished in the flames.
> Offer a prayer for them

- those physicians, medical teams and technicians who are working around the clock, providing treatment to the injured.
> Offer a prayer for them

- the local pastors must be feeling as they try to comfort those who are "left behind" and offer spiritual and emotional support to those who have been displaced and are feeling stunned by it all!
> Offer a prayer for them

- the many volunteers who are dispensing food, water and provisions to those who have been burned out and lost everything!
> Offer a prayer for them

- the numerous intercessors, including those of the 24/7 NSPC family, who have been praying into this situation, daily lifting the people of California to the Lord for His comfort and care during this time of "forced transition"!
> Offer a prayer for them

PRESIDENT TRUMP VISITS THE DEVASTATION

President Trump flew across the nation this past weekend, and with California Governor Jerry Brown and Governor-Elect Gavin Newsom, he toured damage from the Camp Fire that killed dozens of people, with nearly 1,300 more still unaccounted for. He spent time thanking firefighters and first responders who have been serving valiantly, and met with those who suffered losses in the massive fires in both Northern and Southern California. His father's heart was evident as he toured the tragic scenes where destruction and devastation leveled whole communities, taking so many lives and leaving multitudes homeless!

In Malibu, President Trump visited a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean where houses once stood and palm trees stand scorched by the intense fires. He praised local officials, first responders and military assistance, and he said permits to rebuild will be expedited. The economic impact of the fires will be tens of billions of dollars, and President Trump has assured that he will not cut the federal funding necessary for California to deal with the state's deadly wildfires.

Governor Brown appeared on FACE THE NATION Sunday and said:

"The President not only has signed a Presidential declaration giving California substantial funding, but he said and pledged very specifically to continue to help us, that he's got our back, and I thought that was a very positive thing."

What a testimony about our President!
. . . especially in light of Jerry Brown being one of the President's most vociferous opponents. He recently said: " . . . something's got to happen to this guy, because if we don't get rid of him, he's going to undermine America and even the world." Now, we hear: ". . . he's got our back . . ." That brings to mind the verse that tells us:
"When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)
We pray:

- In thanksgiving for answered prayer. On the Shabbat call Friday evening, we prayed:

- For DIVINE PROTECTION, respect and honor for our President!

- For his father's heart to be seen, and for him to have supernatural wisdom and words to soothe and comfort those who come to him, and supernatural energy as he walked among the people!

- For a spirit of discernment to come upon him, so he'd be keenly aware, understanding God's will and way, and be exempt from all that came against him.

Brown says officials will need to assess all the information available about wildfires in planning for the future while Governor-Elect Newsom says people have had enough and the problem needs to be dealt with head-on.

The President says that he hasn't changed his mind on "climate change".

Today, the battle continues . . . with firefighters racing against time. A red flag warning has been issued for "extreme fire hazard", Saturday night into Sunday, due to anticipated winds up to 50 mph and low humidity.

Rain is forecast for midweek, which would help those fighting the fires, but it also complicates the search for remains of those who have been lost. They are praying to get as much done before the rains come!

We pray:

- For the winds to die down, the fires to come under control, and for no new fires to spring up!

- PEACE / SHALOM / BLESSINGS to the land of California and remind the Lord of the many times we have taken communion with it and for it!

- That the relationship between the President and Gavin Newsom, that is being forged in the flames of these fires, will bring a blessing to both of them, and that God will use the President and this cruel situation of devastating fire, to turn Newsom and CA around, for HIS GLORY!

More Islamic terrorist peril confronts African Christians

Even as a US State Department entourage traveled to Nigeria to put an end to the slaughter of Christians by Boko Haram and Fulani Muslim terrorists, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari pardoned and released over 250 Boko Haram terrorists from prison. In October alone, there were 260 Nigerian Christians killed at the hands of Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen, bringing the total to over 2,300 killed so far this year, and 16,000 Christians killed in the past three years. The release of even more terrorists by the Muslim Nigerian president will no doubt dangerously impact the Daily Jot ministry outreach efforts in neighboring Ghana.

Ministry partner William Agbeti says the Islamic "President of Nigeria is known to have a soft spot for Boko Haram. Everything about his handling of the blood-seeking group has been cosmetic, irrespective of the cost of lives and properties thrust upon the nation. This development is not too good for the rest of the sub-Saharan region. In the case of Ghana, they will easily assimilate into the society immediately on arrival and join various existing cell groups because the Ghanaian Muslim community has an open door policy for all Muslims. Foreign Muslims desirous of living in Ghana are protected and "nationalized" with ease by their cohorts in the country. No one questions or challenges such moves."

William continues, "The modus operandi of foreign Muslims such as Fulani herdsmen is to migrate to rural areas, where they vanish into Muslim strongholds, and find soft target communities and peoples groups to lord over. The long arms of the law either hardly reach many of such communities and peoples groups, or are ineffective, owing to lack of sustained police visibility or regular visits. Under this cloak, horrendous untold tales unfold--destruction of farms, stealing of land, forced marriages, creation of more strong holds, establishment of oppressive economic systems where goods and monies are given out to unsuspecting customers on credit they can't repay. The UN Office for West Africa and the Sahel Special Representative told the UN Security Council the violence has had a devastating impact on local communities."

William concludes, "The unfortunate actions of the Nigerian President might likely turn an already perilous West African sub-region, into a field day for Boko Haram and its cronies." The Daily Jot ministry outreach headed by William Agbeti in Ghana is on the front lines of the Islamic expansion in the rural areas. It is not an easy mission and it is rife with danger. Our efforts to feed, clothe, provide clean water and other necessities in the name of Christ are challenged directly or indirectly by these Islamists. As the Lord said in Matthew 25:40, "Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it to me." While far away in America, we may not feel, nor even understand, the peril to those we serve, but your prayers and support are having an impact in changing hearts and winning souls.

Have a blessed and powerful day!

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 150:6)

Lyrics

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! Sing, ye saints! His wonderful love proclaim! Hail Him! hail Him! mightiest angels in glory; Strength and honor give to His holy name! Like a shepherd, Jesus will feed His people, In His arms He carries them all day long; O ye saints that live in the light of His presence, Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer, For our sins He suffered and bled and died; He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation, Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified; Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow, Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow; Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken, Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer, Heavenly portals, loud with hosannahs ring! Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever; Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King! Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful, Where is now thy victory, boasting grave? Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless; Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

COMING SOON, THE COMET OF THE YEAR:

Astronomers are calling Comet 46P/Wirtanen the "comet of the year." Two months from now, on Dec. 16th, the kilometer-wide ball of dirty ice will come within 11.5 million km of Earth--making it one of the 10 closest-approaching comets of the Space Age. Comet 46P/Wirtanen will probably become a naked eye object for several weeks during the holidays.

Yasushi Aoshima of Ishikawa, Japan, took the picture using a 12-inch telescope. It shows the comet's green atmosphere which is, impressively, almost twice as wide as the planet Jupiter. The green color comes from diatomic carbon (C2)--a gaseous substance common in comet atmospheres that glows green in the near-vacuum of space.

At the moment, the integrated brightness of the comet is similar to a 10th magnitude star--that is, dim. However, forecasters expect it to brighten more than 200-fold by December. If current trends hold, 46P could ultimately reach magnitude +3, making it not a Great Comet but a very good one, visible to the unaided eye and an easy target for binoculars or small telescopes.

Comet Wirtanen passes through the inner solar system every 5.4 years. Right now it is near the orbit of Mars, and it is heading in our direction. Click on the image above to explore the comet's approach, courtesy of NASA/JPL. (Spaceweather.com) Read more.

Spontaneous "Praise Session" Breaks out at the White House: "Moved beyond Words"

(Washington, DC)-[Faithwire.com] Several worship leaders and Christian artists have posted footage of a spontaneous praise session that took place in the White House yesterday. The "Faith Briefing" meeting was designed to give an update on all the faith-based initiatives that have been introduced by the Trump administration.

In one clip posted by Christian singer Tauren Wells, a group of worship leaders can be seen belting out "What a Beautiful Name" by Hillsong Worship.

Bethel Music's director of events, Dominic Shahbon, also took to social media to express his delight at the occasion.

"Wow. What a day," he wrote on Instagram. "Had the honor to go the White House for a #FaithBriefing with key administration officials and faith leaders. Specifically, to hear about faith initiatives that are happening. Great things are taking place whether the media tells us or not! Let's just say that I'm leaving Washington, D.C. stirred, hopeful, convicted and informed with TRUTH"

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
