2. INSS report: Hezbollah remains most serious conventional threat to Israel - YNET News
Hezbollah remains the most serious conventional threat Israel is facing, more than Hamas or Iran, a report released Monday by the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) determined.
According to the report, submitted to President Rivlin by INSS head Maj. Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, Hezbollah has rockets that can reach any range, precision-guided missiles, attack and suicide drones, the best Russian-made air defense systems and ground units that are training to conquer Israeli towns and cities.
The INSS recommended to improve Israeli intelligence gathering in an effort to continue reducing the transfer of advanced arms to the terror organization and consequently reduce the chances of an escalation. (Read more)
3. Report: Palestinian Arabs sell land near Tulkarem to Israelis - Israel National News
The Hamas-affiliated Palestine newspaper reported on Monday, citing sources in Tulkarem, that 100 dunams of land in the area were recently sold in transactions carried out through Israeli lawyers.
The land in question is located in the village of Deir Al-Rosson, located north of Tulkarem.
The mayor of Deir Al-Rosson, Abdel Karim Ghanem, told the Palestine newspaper that there is information indicating that lands in the area are being sold to Israeli citizens. Ghanem called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its government to investigate this matter. (Read more)
4. Former intelligence chief: Syrian crisis is strengthening Israel's enemies - Jerusalem Post
Contrary to opinions from some other quarters, Israel's military balance is the best it has ever been, said Maj. Gen. (ret) Amos Yadlin, the director of the Institute for National Security Studies when he presented the institute's strategic assessment for 2016-2017 to President Reuven Rivlin on Monday.
Despite the civil war in Syria, the general instability of the region and the consolidation of terrorist organizations on Israel's northern and southern borders, Israel's military capabilities make the Israel Defense Forces the strongest, most modern and most technologically advanced military power in the Middle East, said Yadlin. In his first public statements since being questioned under caution by police as a criminal suspect Monday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed media coverage of several other now-closed corruption cases, vowing that the latest allegations would also prove to be "nothing."
"Bibitours - nothing! A claim of illicit campaign funding - nothing! A claim of skewing primary results - nothing! A claim of receiving gifts abroad and funding for flights - nothing!" the prime minister wrote on Facebook, listing past corruption cases against him that Attorney General Avichai Mendelblit said Monday had been closed. The Democratic senators are vowing to make good on their vow unless the nominees start disclosing personal financial information, according to The Washington Post.

The Clintons will attend the Jan. 20 inauguration in Washington, the aides said. Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, has largely avoided the public eye since Trump's Nov. 8 victory after a bruising campaign.
The Clintons will join former Republican President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush at the inauguration. In addition, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter has said that he will attend Trump's swearing-in.

4. Alabama Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Unborn Child - Liberty Council
The Alabama Supreme Court unanimously ruled Friday in defense of unborn life in a wrongful death lawsuit against an OB/GYN accused of contributing to the death of a woman's unborn child.
The Alabama Supreme Court declared that Stinnett v. Kennedy may proceed, stating that unborn children are human beings and are entitled to legal protection. The court largely based its decision on an amendment in Alabama's Homicide Act, which "changed the definition of a 'person' who could be a victim of homicide to include 'an unborn child in utero at any stage of development, regardless of viability." Alabama Supreme Court Justice Thomas Parker also wrote a concurring opinion, noting that the "viability" standard in Roe v. Wade is faulty.

6. Study: Christians Most Persecuted Religious Group in the World - Newsbusters
Here's a study you won't find in any of the major-media headlines. According to the Director of the Centre for Studies on New Religions (Cesnur), Massimo Introvigne, Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world, with over 90,000 Christians killed in 2016 alone.
Introvigne told Vatican Radio that there are nearly half a billion Christians who are unable to express or practice fully their Christian faith.

An Islamic State general, who has been designated by the United States as a global terrorist, is reportedly back in Europe from Syria along with about 400 of his soldiers, many of whom crossed the borders disguised as refugees.

The prophetic peril of America

On Friday December 23, The UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for an end to the Judea and Samaria settlement enterprise and condemning it as an obstacle to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. In a dramatic and historic departure from past policy, the US "president" instructed America's Ambassador to the UN to refrain from vetoing the resolution. Since occupying the Oval Office in 2009, the Islamic Marxist US "president" has steadily moved away from supporting Israel, and in turn, has bolstered Israel's enemies by supporting the Muslim Brotherhood's Arab Spring, signing a nuclear weapons-enabling deal with Iran, and destabilizing the Middle East. There are prophetic consequences.
All the while, the "president" has fueled the narrative that the Russians are the bad guys. This narrative plays into a revived cold war mantra and continues fanning the flames among Christians who want to believe that Russia is the Gog of Ezekiel 38 who leads a force against Israel in a colossal end time battle. After years of study on this topic, I am convinced that Russia is not Gog. The coalition, led by "Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (v 38:3)" are Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Magog, Gomer and Togarmah. Ancient history and maps confirm that Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Gomer and Togarmah are located in modern Turkey. Persia is modern Iran. Libya is Libya and Ethiopia is likely modern Sudan.
While Russia may be part of the invading force, it is not Gog. Neither is America, but the actions of our "president" may have placed the US in prophetic peril. The Lord says in Zechariah 12:3, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." Many find it hard to imagine how the US could ever be part of the nations gathered prophetically against Israel. The lame duck US "president" has crossed that line and has shown the world, and God Almighty, how this could happen by not vetoing the UN resolution. This UN resolution is permanent because of America.
Americans chose a leader-not once but twice-who audaciously broke with supporting the only true democracy in the Middle East and sided with the sponsors of Islamic terrorism. In doing so, the "president" also led America onto the side of Israel's enemies and the enemies of God himself. Israel's Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon was profound in his criticism of the US "president", saying, "We've talked a lot about the significance of the Security Council resolution, but we need to take note of one thing: how our best friends in the UN turned their backs on us at the moment of truth." Indeed, it is noted on earth as it is in heaven. Fortunately, the next President vows to reverse this dangerous trend. Let us pray for our new President and for mercy for our nation.

Post admits fake news on Russian utility hack
Last week there was story after story about how the Russians had hacked into a Vermont utility company and possibly could have shut down the entire US electric grid. This just proved the point that the lame duck "president" was making about how Russia was attacking the US and, more specifically, had engineered a Donald Trump victory over the "president's" fellow communist and legacy preserver, Hillary Clinton. Trouble is, the accusers and inventors of "fake news" were at it again. The utility in question could not have been hacked because it was offline. And the head purveyor of "fake news" who broke the story, the venerable Washington Post, had to print a retraction.
The Post wrote on January 2: "As federal officials investigate suspicious Internet activity found last week on a Vermont utility computer, they are finding evidence that the incident is not linked to any Russian government effort to target or hack the utility...An employee at Burlington Electric Department was checking his Yahoo email account Friday and triggered an alert indicating that his computer had connected to a suspicious IP address associated by authorities with the Russian hacking operation that infiltrated the Democratic Party...Indeed, officials say it is possible that the traffic is benign, since this particular IP address is not always connected to malicious activity...The Post initially reported incorrectly that the country's electric grid had been penetrated through a Vermont utility."
So this story went from the Washington Post reporting that the entire country's electric grid was hacked by the Russians to issuing a retraction that there was no such incident at all. This is very similar to reporting throughout the election cycle that Clinton is up by several points and will win, despite knowing that the polling samples are skewed by 12 points in her favor. Then the Post and the "president" decry "fake news" as influencing the election. Also notice how the Post tied its "fake news" to the same hackers that "infiltrated the Democratic Party"-stating as fact something that is still unproven. This is the same tactic employed to establish global warming while the researchers all along were admittedly manipulating the data.
WikiLeaks obtained the DNC and Clinton information and released it. WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange was asked directly by Fox News' Sean Hannity: "Can you say to the American people, unequivocally, that you did not get this information about the DNC, John Podesta's emails, can you tell the American people 1,000 percent that you did not get it from Russia or anybody associated with Russia?" Assange answered: "Yes. We can say, we have said, repeatedly that over the last two months that our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party." So when you are checking under your bed at night for the Russian boogeyman, don't be surprised if you find the lame duck US "president." Ephesians 5:6 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words." Neither the "president" nor The Washington Post, for sure.

Mr. Webster, like many musicians, was of an exceedingly nervous and sensitive nature, and subject to periods of depression, in which he looked upon the dark side of all things in life. MAGNETIC STORMS LIKELY THIS WEEK
NOAA forecasters have boosted the odds of polar geomagnetic storms on Jan. 4th and 5th to 65% as a stream of solar wind approaches Earth. The hot wind is flowing from a large hole in the sun's atmosphere. This image, from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, shows the yawning structure almost directly facing Earth on Jan. 3rd:
Coronal holes are regions where the sun's magnetic field peels back and allows solar wind to escape. The stream of wind emerging from this coronal hole recently blew past NASA's STEREO-A spacecraft with peak speeds exceeding 700 km/s. Similar high speeds are likely when the stream reaches Earth on Jan. 4th and 5th.

Amazing Academic Feat Astounds This Student's Professor:
"God Reminded Me I Had Prayed For a Perfect Score"
(Portsmouth, VA) - [CBN News] A freshman at Regent University has accomplished an amazing feat by earning a perfect score on a national chemistry exam.
Jonee Lillard of Portsmouth, Virginia, enjoys playing video games and is an accomplished piano player. But it is in the classroom where the 17-year-old really excels. "It's kind of my priority, honestly," she told CBN News.
That focus paid off when Jonee aced the American Chemical Society Exam, a standardized test given to first-year college students across the country. Not only did Jonee answer all 70 multiple choice questions correctly, but she became the only student do so in the past two years out of more than 3,800 students from 34 colleges. The highest grade any other student scored in the past two years was 53 out of 70.
"I was surprised. I did not expect it," Jonee commented. "Looking back on this it's just like this was God. There's no other way to explain it.
Jonee's mother, Valerie Lillard, said she was not surprised by her daughter's test results. She believes it was an answer to prayer.
"Wow, wow! Thank You, Jesus -- then He reminded me that that's what we asked for in prayer," she explained. "He says, 'You asked for it -- a hundred or better. You were specific,' and I said, 'Thank You, God!" (Read more)
