1. Iranian pilot defects, threatens regime he'll seek asylum in Israel - Times of Israel
VAN, Turkey - An Iranian pilot who defected to Turkey last year is threatening to seek asylum in Israel and work openly to undermine the regime in Iran if it does not cease what he says are its intimidation tactics against the wife and son he left behind.
Major Ahmad-Reza Khosravi, 39, a pilot in the helicopter unit of the Iranian Security Services, fled Iran to Turkey in March 2015 after he was refused repeated requests to be discharged from the military, requests he made due to ideological differences with the regime. Recently the subject of an apparent kidnap plan to bring him back to Iran, Khosravi has now gone public with his criticism of the Iranian leadership. (Read more)
2. US informs Israel and Egypt of plans to 'modernize' its Sinai peacekeeping force - Jerusalem Post
WASHINGTON - The United States informed Egypt and Israel on Tuesday that it would be reviewing its peacekeeping mission in Sinai, where extremist militant groups are growing in strength and number.
The three decade-old Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), the force which has monitored the Sinai since the Camp David Accords, may have an outdated structure, US officials said, explaining the policy move.
"I don't think anyone's talking about a withdrawal," said Navy Captain Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesperson. Roughly 600 US troops are stationed there. "I think we're just going to look at the number of people we have there and see if there are functions that can be automated or done through remote monitoring." (Read more)
3. Haniyeh: The 'intifada' changed the balance of power - Israel National News
Hamas deputy leader Ismail Haniyeh considers the current wave of violence as a key factor in changing the balance of power between the Palestinian people and Israel.
Speaking at a gathering in Gaza this past Sunday, Haniyeh said that the "Al-Quds Intifada" - as the Palestinian Arab groups refer to the current wave of terrorism - proved that the current Palestinian generation is the "successor of the glory, honor and vitality, and our sons will not agree to Israeli plans in Jerusalem, the West Bank or anywhere else."
Haniyeh added that Israel is dealing with the "intifada" through actions of suppression such as "settlement building" and house demolitions, and the Palestinian response must come in the form of the establishment of a national framework for the intifada in order to realize national goals and the "liberation of the land." 4. East Jerusalem: Incitement discovered in school textbooks - Jerusalem Online
The Jerusalem Municipality is in charge of preventing inciting messages from entering East Jerusalem's Palestinian schools' textbooks. However, it appears that content encouraging terrorist acts and violence is commonly found in the textbooks. "Your martyrs are the sons of the land," is just one example of a problematic text. 2. Trump campaign manager won't be prosecuted on battery charge - Fox News
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign manager will not be prosecuted on a charge of misdemeanor battery over allegations he grabbed the arm of a reporter, the campaign confirmed late Wednesday.
Trump campaign social media director Dan Scavino posted on his Facebook page that the charge would not be pressed against Corey Lewandowski. (Read more)

3. FCC kept 'Obamaphone' fraud under wraps until after it expanded program - Fox News
Federal regulators were instructed to keep a massive fraud investigation - concerning the "Obamaphone" program, meant to help get low-income families cellphone access - under wraps until a day after a controversial vote to expand the program, one of those regulators claims.
The Federal Communications Commission on Friday announced that it would seek $51 million in damages from a cellphone company that allegedly defrauded the federal Lifeline program of nearly $10 million. (Read more)

4. Children Sue Over Climate Change - Gary Bauer
An unprecedented court case with tremendous ramifications is going forward in Oregon. Last week, a federal judge agreed to allow a case filed against the government and various energy companies to proceed. What makes the case so unusual is that individuals suing are 21 children, ages 8 to 19. They claim that the government is "violating their constitutional rights to life, liberty and property, and their right to essential public trust resources, by permitting, encouraging, and otherwise enabling continued exploitation, production, and combustion of fossil fuels." In short, they are accusing the government of harming their future due to the alleged damage that will be caused by climate change.
It will be interesting to see if they can prove their case, and I wonder exactly what it is they expect the court to do. Ban cars?
Once again, I was struck by the left's misplaced priorities. A radical group, claiming to be concerned about the "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" of future generations, is in court trying to shut down America's energy companies. Just try to imagine the life -- forget happiness -- these kids will have if the left succeeds in eliminating fossil fuels! But where is the left's concern for the life and liberty of America's future generations -- our unborn children?
- Father God, we repent that we have allowed our young ones to be so deceived by false threats of an imminent global climate change, that they would pursue this foolish action. Clearly, this is not being done without adult supervision. We ask You to forgive the "handlers" in this matter, and to restore all things to their natural order, in Your name, amen.
- "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child . . ." (Proverbs 22:15a)
5. ISIS Urges Supporters to Kill Muslim 'Infidels' in West, Including Congressman and Top Clinton Aide - CNS News
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL) is urging its followers to kill identified Muslim figures in the West, saying they are "obligatory" targets unless they "openly repent from kufr [disbelief] before they are apprehended." The threats are contained in the 14th and latest edition of the terrorist group's online propaganda publication, Dabiq.
Among those in the United States listed in that article and described as "politically-active apostates" are Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), one of two Muslims in the House of Representatives; Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin; and Rashad Hussain, former U.S. envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Others are Mohamed Elibiary, a former member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer; and Arif Alikhan, who has served in various public and private sector law enforcement and homeland security posts.
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) national executive director Nihad Awad, while not named, appears prominently in a photo collage that also features a gun-sight target image. (Read more)
- Lord, we cover our people with the power of Your Spirit and the Blood of Jesus. Those who are Muslims named in this magazine and the other needs to know You as their Savior. Reveal yourself, O Lord!
- "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the word, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:17)
6. Congressman Keith Ellison Responds to ISIS Statement - CNSNews.com
Ellison responded to the threat from ISIS - which he calls by the Arabic acronym Daesh - with a short but hard-hitting statement.
"As millions of faithful Muslims flee Daesh's imposed nightmare they call a 'caliphate,' Daesh takes the time to threaten Muslim public servants in the West, like myself and my friend Huma Abedin," he said.
"Daesh is a collection of liars, murderers, torturers, and rapists. No Muslim I know recognizes what they preach as Al-Islam," Ellison added. "The fact that I'm on Daesh's bad side means I am fighting for things like justice, tolerance, and a more inclusive world." (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for this hard-hitting statement by Congressman Keith Ellison. We continue to pray for him, and for all who do not yet know You as Savior and Lord, that Your light will shine in their darkness and they will come to repentance and salvation in Your Name, amen.
- "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
7. Sick of ISIS Persecution, Mid-East Christians Form Biblical Brigades - Breaking Israel News
Some Christians in the region are unwilling to go like lambs to the slaughter, however, and have begun forming militias to fight back. One such group is the Babylon Brigade, some 500 to 1,000 Christian fighters who mobilized after ISIS took control of their hometown in Mosul, Iraq in 2014. As King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes, there is a time for peace, but there is also a time for war. (Read more)

The Turkish authorities are not so much fighting with the radicals, but working side by side with them instead, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his annual Q&A session, noting that there is a civil war going on in southern Turkey. (Read more)
- Lord, we know that Turkey's leaders do not worship You, so are vulnerable to radicalism in every area. We pray for Your Holy Spirit to move over the nation of Turkey, saving souls and revealing truth. We also pray for You to break the arm of the wicked there.
- "All your men of war who are in you, and the entire company which is in your midst, will fall into the midst of the sea on the day of your ruin." (Ezekiel 27:27 b,c)

Record tax collecting; consequences loom
As we approach the day when our taxes are due, let us keep in mind the spirit of the American Revolution. Our Founding Fathers rebelled against England after a less than a penny tax on tea. They did not envision a multi-trillion dollar government tending to the specific needs of individuals. Neither did they expect Americans to work 114 days into the year (April 24) to pay taxes. The government at all levels has become an insatiable beast feeding on the hard work of all Americans and becoming more and more demanding with each passing day. The Treasury Department reports that it collected a record amount of taxes $1.48 TRILLION the first half of the fiscal year.
The American entrepreneur spirit must have money to be able to take hold and prosper the economy. Labor union workers do not "create" jobs. They work for the job creators. And yes, they too, should have tax reductions to be able to save more and provide for their needs. But it is proven economic fact that if the job creators are saddled with high taxes and excessive government restrictions, the economy will slow, jobs will be lost and companies will close. Here we go: The Tenth Commandment in Exodus 20:17 says, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's."
Taxes, especially unfair and exorbitant taxes, are covetousness. Now many will also quote the Bible verse where Jesus says give unto Caesar what is Caesar's. But in this nation, our Founding Fathers set up a form of government where we all have a say. So we, in effect, are Caesar. It's when we lose touch with that reality that the government, any government, will fill the void and begin to expand its power. From property taxes to income taxes, when the fruits of a person's hard work are taken and given to another, that is coveting. It is also placing a chokehold on the economy because politicians are interested in expanding government rather than paying debt.
For example, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has proposed a one TRILLION dollar tax increase if she is elected. Bernie Sanders will do much the same. This money will not go to reduce debt, but rather to give students "free" college education and construction workers jobs fixing roads. Seriously. It's true. The current national debt as we reach tax day is $19.2 TRILLION. If you are a citizen, your share of that debt is $200,221. If you pay taxes, your share of the US Federal budget deficit ($5.8 TRILLION) is $850,735, according to the US National Debt Clock. These numbers are sobering and they point to rough times ahead. If responsible stewardship is not put in place, there will be disastrous results--the consequences of breaking God's commandments.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Trump Stumped
For several days now, Donald Trump has been hitting a theme of corruption within the political system. It is a popular message. He is astutely telling his cheering supporters, many of whom already believe they have been cheated economically by the Washington establishment, that they are now being cheated politically -- that their preferred choice is being denied delegates by a rigged system.
Trump gets an A+ for political strategy, but a D- on telling the truth.
Each state party, and in some cases each state legislature, sets the rules of the nominating process. Some states decide to have primaries. Some states have a caucus. In some cases, they have conventions.
Nothing happened in Colorado that was designed to cheat Donald Trump. As I have already noted, the Denver Post reported last summer that the state would have a series of precinct caucus meetings rather than a primary. This information is available on the Colorado secretary of state's website, which clearly states, "In 2003, Colorado passed a measure to eliminate the presidential primary."
Were GOP insiders plotting to sabotage Donald Trump 13 years ago? Of course not.
When I ran in 2000, I knew what the rules were and we planned accordingly for the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire primary. We also knew that there was a separate process for the selection of delegates. We knew that delegates were bound, in most cases for one ballot, to support the winner in each state. This is all part of the electoral process that has been in place for decades.
That the Trump campaign is seemingly stumped by the process is not evidence of corruption. It is evidence of political incompetence. Quite frankly, it undermines Trump's brand, which is that he is the smart business guy, smart enough to negotiate better trade deals and fix Washington.
In spite of the best efforts of Republican officials to explain all this, my gut tells me that Trump is, nevertheless, strengthening his position among his supporters on the larger issue of Washington corruption. It is virtually impossible to go wrong bashing the Beltway elites, even in the rare circumstance where they may not deserve it. (Gary Bauer)
Obama's Influence
President Barack Obama granted an extraordinarily rare interview to Fox News that aired this past Sunday. During the interview, he exonerated Hillary Clinton while attempting to reassure Americans that the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server would be completely independent.
Referring to Hillary's email scandal, Obama said, "Here's what I know: Hillary Clinton was an outstanding secretary of state. . . I continue to believe that she has not jeopardized America's national security."
When pressed about the investigation, the president said this: "I do not talk to the attorney general about pending investigations. I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations. . . I guarantee that there is no political influence in any investigation conducted by the Justice Department, or the FBI, not just in this case, but in any case. Full stop. Period."
Does anyone seriously doubt that the attorney general and FBI director did not see that interview or were not briefed by their assistants?
Of course, Obama doesn't have to pick up the phone and call the attorney general or the FBI director to influence them privately. They can get their marching orders directly from his public statements! (Gary Bauer)
Boeing & The Mullahs
I was furious to see today's report that Boeing is in talks to sell commercial aircraft to the Islamic Republic of Iran. I suppose you can make the case that this will help American workers. But it also increases the chances that other Americans will have to die in the future in combat to stop an increasingly aggressive Iran.
Just a few weeks ago, Iran seized U.S. sailors, humiliated them and used it for the regime's propaganda purposes. Tehran test-fired missiles with the words "Israel must be wiped off the face of Earth" inscribed on the missiles. Iranian terrorist networks are directly responsible for the deaths of U.S. soldiers in Iraq. And this is a regime with which Boeing wants to do business?
Maybe I'm just imagining it, but I thought there was a time in America when patriotism meant that families raised their children to believe it was noble to serve in the military and corporate leaders believed it was noble to reject profits that came from doing business with our enemies.
But I can understand why today's corporate bosses might be confused. Last week, President Obama chided Iran's mullahs for threatening Israel, saying, "When they launch ballistic missiles with slogans calling for the destruction of Israel, that makes businesses nervous."
I would have thought that the president might be more concerned by how upset the people of Israel were, not business leaders, since he is giving the ayatollah and his terrorist henchmen access to $100 billion while they test new missiles.
While the deal is for civilian aircraft, those planes can easily be used as troop transports. We've done that too. We also saw on the morning of 9/11 how they could be turned into weapons of mass destruction. (Gary Bauer)
North Carolina:
Cloudy with a Chance of Clarity
Very few people can imagine the pressure Governor Pat McCrory (R-N.C.) has been under since March 23. With one signature, he knew a vicious, distorted, smear campaign awaited -- not just him, but the entire state. Still, in the face of the worst storm of his political career, McCrory stood firm, knowing that what he did was right for North Carolina in the long run. There's never a wrong time to give businesses more freedom to operate their own way. And despite what the Left, Big Business bullies, and cultural elites may say, that's exactly what H.B. 2 has done. Yesterday, after a three-week pounding from Bruce Springsteen to Facebook, McCrory blinked -- issuing an executive order to clarify the North Carolina law from the politically-motivated attacks.
At first, conservatives worried the bill might be "Penced," a reference to Indiana Governor Mike Pence (R-Ind.), who surrendered to the demands of LGBT activists and watered down his state's religious liberty law. "I have come to the conclusion that there is a great deal of misinformation, misinterpretation, confusion, a lot of passion, and frankly, selective outrage and hypocrisy, especially against the great state of North Carolina," McCrory said in a video message. "I am taking action to protect the privacy and equality of all North Carolinans."
While we don't think Governor McCrory needed to provide any additional clarity, his executive order doesn't change the law he just signed to stop local government from forcing people to violate their beliefs about sexuality. That much was confirmed when members of the ACLU and LGBT communities lashed out, insisting that the document was "a poor effort to save face." Instead, liberals used the moment to call for a full repeal. Obviously, their response shows that the Left has no interest in a live-and-let-live policy and couldn't care less about the common sense privacy concerns of North Carolina families -- even when it comes to the question of letting grown men use the girls' restroom. Everyone deserves human dignity and respect, but that doesn't mean the government should force businesses to adopt its own twisted views on marriage or gender identity. We join our allies in the state -- and Christians all across America -- in calling on Governor McCrory to continue to protect women and children by defending H.B. 2. U.S. Evangelist in Turkey Detained, Ordered To Be Deported
ISTANBUL, Turkey (Morning Star News) - Turkish authorities have detained a U.S. evangelist and ordered him held for 30 days without charge ahead of deportation, sources said.
Declaring David Byle "a danger to public order," authorities in Turkey took him into custody on April 6 after asking him to report to the immigration office in Istanbul regarding his application for a residency permit.
Byle, 46, was told his application had been denied; he was immediately taken into custody and then transferred to the Fatih police station in Istanbul. Police held him for two days before transferring him on Friday (April 8) to a holding center for foreigners awaiting deportation, the sources said.

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:
HOW GREAT THOU ART
"O Lord, how great are Thy works!" (Psalm 92:5)
Lyrics
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the *worlds thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the *rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed:
Refrain
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
Refrain
And when I think that God, his Son not sparing, Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in, That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin.
Refrain
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then *I shall bow in humble adoration, And there proclaim, "My God, how great thou art!"

Has Seventh Plague of Biblical "Fire and Ice" Appeared in the Middle East?
WATCH: Another Biblical Plague Mysteriously Appears as Passover Approaches
Yet another scene from the Book of Exodus has come to life as the seventh plague, described by the Bible as fire and hail mixed together, has miraculously appeared in a desert in Afghanistan.
A video posted on Sod1820, a religious Hebrew-language website, shows a group of people gathered in amazement around the source of a flowing spring in the desert on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. The reason for their shock is immediately apparent: large flames shoot out from the hole in the sand from which water flows.
. . . Hints of the Biblical plagues have been appearing lately, seemingly in preparation for the Passover seder, when all of Israel will be retelling the story of the Exodus. The recent image of a blood-red Nile was the result of a special imaging process, but it was universally recognizable as a scene straight from the Bible, with even secular news sites making the Biblical connection.(Breaking Israel News) Read more here.
"So there was hail, and fire flashing up amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation." (Exodus 9:24)

This Archaeological Finding Sheds Light on the Bible's Mary Magdalene
(Jerusalem, Israel)-[CBN News] An archaeological discovery in the Galilee could shed new light on the iconic Biblical woman, Mary Magdalene.
Father Eamon Kelly, vice chargé of the Pontifical Institute Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center, recently talked about the discovery on talk show host Eric Metaxas's show.
Kelly is an expert on the Second Temple-era synagogue discovered in Magdala, present-day Migdal, the hometown of Mary Magdalene.
During an excavation at the site, the Israel Antiquities Authority found a first-century synagogue, one of only seven discovered in Israel.
They also found an old coin they believe was from the reign of emperor Tiberus in 29 A.D. These artifacts could be related to the crucial days of Jesus' involvement in the area.
