President Trump Arrives in Poland
Gives a Powerful Address to the Polish People, Honoring their Courage in the Face of Enemies in History
1. Trump, in Poland, vows 'the West will never, ever be broken' - Fox News
President Trump delivered a staunch defense of Western values during a rousing speech Thursday to thousands of Poles in Warsaw's Krasinski Square, rallying allies against what he described as "dire threats" to civilization and vowing, "the West will never, ever be broken."
On his second overseas trip as president, Trump voiced confidence in the resolve of Western nations to confront common threats but said allies must remember who they are to topple those challenges. Trump said nations must have the will to protect borders and preserve civilization from those who would destroy it.
"Just as Poland cannot be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken," Trump said. "Our values will prevail, our people will thrive and our civilization will triumph."
In sweeping terms, Trump used the address to cheer the contributions of Western societies, as the enthusiastic crowd frequently broke out in applause and chants of "USA" and "Donald Trump." (Read more)
- Father, we are thankful as the nation of Poland honors our President. They have been a faithful ally and supporter of Israel. We pray for Your blessing upon their land and their people. We thank You, too, for the tremendous speech that our president delivered to these good people this morning in Warsaw, in Your name, amen.
- "Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained." (1 Samuel 2:30b)

4. "We Want God": President Trump Defends Faith, Family and Freedom in Poland Speech - Breaking Christian News
"Your nation is great because your spirit is great and your spirit is strong," Trump said. "The story of Poland is the story of a people who have never lost hope, who have never been broken, and who have never forgotten who they are."
He said Poland is the "soul of Europe" as he addressed thousands in Warsaw, delivering a major speech at the Warsaw Uprising memorial in Krasinskich Square.
That memorial is the site of a monument commemorating the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against the Nazis.
"For two centuries, Poland suffered constant and brutal attacks but while Poland could be invaded and occupied and its borders even erased from the map, it could never be erased from history or from your hearts. In those dark days, you have lost your land but you never lost your pride," Trump said.
Trump went on to praise the Poles who rose up against communism and declared "We want God!" (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for this amazing speech, and we ask that President Trump's words would reverberate across the globe, bringing hope to our people again.
- "Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants." (Lev. 25:10)
5. Trump in Warsaw calls on Russia to cease destabilization of Ukraine - UNIAN
"We urge Russia to cease its destabilizing activities in Ukraine and elsewhere, and its support for hostile regimes including Syria and Iran, and to instead join the community of responsible nations in our fight against common enemies and in defense of civilization itself," he said in a July 6 speech to the Polish people delivered at Warsaw's historic Krasinski Square.
What is more, Trump described Poland as an exemplary ally in building defenses to counter Russian "destabilizing behavior." He reiterated that his country would continue supporting peace in Central and Eastern Europe. (Read more)

3. Herzog unseated as Peretz, Gabbay advance to Labor leadership runoff - Times of Israel
Former Labor party leader Amir Peretz and ex-Kulanu minister Avi Gabbay on Tuesday advanced to the second round in the party's leadership race, in an upset that saw incumbent Isaac Herzog unseated from power after a tumultuous four years at the helm.
Peretz was in the lead with 32 percent (10,141 votes), followed by newcomer Gabbay with 27% (8,395), as the polls closed on Tuesday evening. The two top contenders will face off next Monday, since no single candidate received the required 40% of the vote in Tuesday's first round to declare a winner.

4. Israeli security forces thwart major terror attack in Jerusalem - World Israel News
On Tuesday, Israeli Police searched six Palestinians at a checkpoint on the southeastern outskirts of Jerusalem, finding in their possession a bag containing knives, stun grenades and Molotov cocktails. By discovering the weapons, the police foiled an attempted terrorist attack.
Border police officers at the Mizmoria Checkpoint, at Jerusalem's southern entrance, noticed that the back and front license plates on the suspects' car did not match.
The officers stopped the vehicle and instructed the six men to get out of the car. All were Palestinians, and none of them were carrying identity cards or permits to enter Israel.

5. Knesset seeks expanded subpoena powers to probe banks' secret deals - Jerusalem Post
A parliamentary commission of inquiry formed on Wednesday may cause a constitutional crisis, as lawmakers seek expanded powers to force banks to reveal confidential information about customers.
The commission of inquiry, led by Knesset Economics Committee chairman Eitan Cabel (Zionist Union), is meant to look into how financial institutions decide to give credit to large businesses, after businessman Eliezer Fishman defaulted on billions of shekels of credit and was declared bankrupt.

1. URGENT! Steve Scalise readmitted to intensive care unit amid infection concerns, in 'serious' condition - Washington Examiner
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., has been readmitted to the intensive care unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and is listed in "serious" condition after concerns emerged about possible infection as he continues recovery from a gunshot during practice for the Congressional Baseball Game on June 14. "Congressman Steve Scalise has been readmitted to the Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center due to new concerns for infection," the hospital said in a statement late Wednesday night. "His condition is listed as serious."
Scalise had been upgraded to fair condition following several surgeries on June 21. During practice for the game, he was shot by James T. Hodgkinson and sustained a rifle shot to the left hip. The bullet fractured bones, injured internal organs and caused severe bleeding, leading Dr. Jack Sava, the trauma director at MedStar, to say that he faced an "imminent risk of death" when he arrived at the hospital after the shooting. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for Your miracle working power to descend upon Steve Scalise, cleansing him from all infection and bringing complete healing.
- 'For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,' says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17a)
2. Senate Democrats embrace extreme vetting of Trump's court picks - Washington Times
Senate Democrats are turning to procedural tactics to delay confirmation of President Trump's appeals court picks, and conservative groups are firing back with a new ad in Michigan trying to force two Democrats to clear a path for one embattled nominee.
The Judicial Crisis Network says it will spend $140,000 on the ad, which demands Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters drop any objections to Michigan Supreme Court Justice Joan Larsen, who Mr. Trump nominated to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on May 8.
The senators are flexing the chamber's "blue slip" tradition, which gives individual lawmakers an exceptional amount of say in judges from their home state. Under the tradition, if both home-state senators don't return their blue slips, signaling acceptance, Senate leaders will hold off on action on that pick. Neither Ms. Stabenow nor Mr. Peters have returned their blue slips. Spokesmen for both senators say they're still studying the issues on the Larsen pick.
Conservatives, though, want to see a speedy decision. "This is someone the citizens of Michigan have overwhelmingly approved as their Supreme Court Justice," said Carrie Severino, chief counsel at the JCN. "It's absurd [Democrats] would attempt to block her confirmation." (Read more)
- Father, we pray every qualified person of integrity nominated to serve our nation would be confirmed. Give the Republican leadership wisdom to provide all President Trump's nominees with an "up or down" vote.
- Those who convict the innocent by their false testimony will disappear. A similar fate awaits those who use trickery to pervert justice and who tell lies to destroy the innocent. (Isaiah 29:21)
3. Senate Obamacare Repeal Bill Gains Key Supporter In The House - Daily Caller
House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows said Thursday he is willing to support Senate Republicans' Obamacare repeal bill if it includes an amendment put forward by Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz. The amendment to the Better Care Reconciliation Act would essentially create a high-risk pool aimed at incentivizing customers who have a history of medical problems to purchase insurance in a separate marketplace than healthier consumers.
The "Consumer Choice" amendment would allow insurers to sell plans that don't abide by Obamacare's regulations for patients with pre-existing conditions with the caveat insurers are required to have at least one plan that adheres to the Affordable Care Act mandates available. According to Meadows, the Cruz amendment is a necessary addition to the Senate bill if they want to bring down premiums in a meaningful way. (Read more)
- Father, we continue to lift up this bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, and pray the final bill will truly solve the problems within our healthcare system and bring affordable healthcare to our people.
- He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. (Daniel 2:21b)
4. TODAY: Activists plan sit-ins nationwide to protest GOP health care bill - CNN
As the July 4th congressional recess winds down, activists from a coalition of progressive and leftist political groups are ramping up protests against the Senate health care bill.
On Thursday, protesters plan to stage a round of coordinated sit-ins at the offices of Republican senators in 21 states. Our Revolution, the political organization spun out of Sen. Bernie Sanders' 2016 Democratic primary campaign, has been promoting the protests in emails to supporters and on its website, where it provides a list of times and locations. Democracy Spring, CREDO, #AllofUs, Democratic Socialists of America, Progressive Democrats of America, and the Working Families Party are among the other groups helping organize the demonstrations.
"We do not see this as political theater," Our Revolution's new president, former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner, said in an email late Wednesday, "we will continue to sit, stand and fight on until adequate healthcare is available to all."
Organizers expect "hundreds" of protesters will risk arrest at the events, as they compete for national attention with President Donald Trump, who is in Europe and will be meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin on Friday.
"We can't let the Twitter scandal of the day distract us: lives are on the line," Kai Newkirk, mission director of Democracy Spring, said late Wednesday. "People in red and purple states across the country are sitting in, willing to go to jail, to show just how wrong this bill is and how crucial it is that we escalate the fight to defeat it." (Read more)
- Father God, even as we saw a victory on the Fourth of July when the threatened protests never occurred on the streets of our nation, we see today that our enemy is not giving up. We ask for NO MEDIA COVERAGE of these nationwide sit-ins, to be held in the offices of our legislators, and for peace to reign in our land again. In Your name, amen.
- "No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise." (Isaiah 60:18)
5. Poll: Majority of Voters Back Trump Travel Ban - Washington Examiner
A clear majority of voters back President Donald Trump's travel ban, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll. Sixty percent of voters said they support the guidelines, while only 28 percent said they oppose them, Politico reported Wednesday. The poll's language did not refer to Trump nor his executive orders on immigration. Respondents were asked whether they support or oppose the State Department's "new guidelines which say visa applicants from six predominately Muslim countries must prove a close family relationship with a U.S. resident in order to enter the country." (Read more)
- Thank You, Lord, that the people of our nation embrace common sense. We pray for the success of the travel ban and for Your Church to effectively evangelize all immigrants within our nation.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (Romans 1:16)
6. Bill Gates' Message To Europe: Control Your Borders - Daily Caller
Microsoft founder Bill Gates delivered a strong message to Europe during a recent interview with a German news outlet: Control your borders. Gates, who donated to the Obama campaign, warned during an interview with Welt am Sonntag - first translated by Breitbart News - that Germany's open border policies will likely lead to a national catastrophe. Gates believes that the nation's foremost dilemma derives from its "attitude towards refugees."
The tech entrepreneur's criticism took specific aim at German chancellor Angela Merkel, who has been a strong advocate for taking in tens of thousands of migrants. "Germany cannot possibly take in the huge, massive number of people who are wanting to make their way to Europe" Gates asserted, referring to the over one million migrants Germany welcomed in 2015. Gates goes on to suggest that Europe as a whole needs to make it "more difficult for Africans to reach the continent via the current transit routes." As an alternative to mass migration, the tech titan suggests Europe spend more on foreign aid to cut incentive to relocate. "The more generous you are, the more word gets around about this - which in turn motivates more people to leave Africa," Gates said in the interview. (Read more)
- Father, we pray the people of Germany would heed this message and demand a change in policy from their government.
- A just king gives stability to his nation. (Proverbs 29:4a)
7. Emmanuel Bonaparte: Macron Declares He Will Govern Like a Roman God - Breitbart
French president Emmanuel Macron has declared he will govern France like Jupiter, the Roman king of the gods, shortly after officials told the media his thought process was "too complex" for journalists to understand. Summoning over 900 politicians from both houses of the French parliament to a rare Congress at the palace of Louis XIV - the 'Sun King' - in Versailles, he threatened to overrule lawmakers with a referendum if they try to frustrate the "reforms" he wishes to impose on the legislature. Such assemblies are usually reserved for times of national crisis.
Reuters reports him as saying he desires to reign as a "Jupiterian" president - "a remote, dignified figure, like the Roman god of gods, who weighs his rare pronouncements carefully". His bizarre statement of intent comes just days after Macron scrapped the president's traditional Bastille Day press conference, with an Elysée Palace official claiming the 39-year-old's thoughts are "too complex" for journalists. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for wisdom to understand who Emmanuel Macron really is, by what spirit he has gained power and how to pray for the people of France.
- 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' (Isaiah 14:14)
8. Canadian newborn to decide own gender with blessing of government - GOP USA
Canada's health department did not identify a baby's gender on birth documents because the parent wants the baby to decide which gender to identify with. The Gender Free I.D. Coalition said Searyl Atli Doty did not undergo a gender inspection at the time of their birth. The coalition's stated vision is "to remove all gender/sex designations from identity documents."
The group says Searyl is the first baby to officially skip the process of getting a government-designated gender at birth. "It is up to Searyl to decide how they identify, when they are old enough to develop their own gender identity," Kori Doty, the child's parent, said in the statement. "I am not going to foreclose their choices based on an arbitrary assignment of gender at birth based on an inspection of their genitals." Doty, a non-binary transgender person who prefers the "they" pronoun, said the decision to let Searyl decide their own gender was based on Doty's own experience. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for Kori Doty, that she would be delivered from this crippling deception and find her identity in You. We pray she would encourage Searyl to embrace the blessing You have given, male or female.
- God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27)
9. Charlie Gard not allowed to receive Vatican's care, hospital spokesman says - Washington Post
Amid an emotionally charged fight for Charlie Gard, a British hospital that plans to disconnect the terminally ill infant from life support declined to move him to the Vatican's children's hospital for care.
Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital had asked whether the child could be transferred to Rome to receive care after Pope Francis and President Trump voiced support for Charlie, an 11-month-old British boy who has a rare genetic condition and resulting brain damage that has robbed him of the ability to move his arms and legs, cry, eat or breathe on his own.
A hospital spokesman in Rome told The Washington Post on Wednesday that London's Great Ormond Street Hospital turned down the offer, citing legal reasons, but officials were working on a solution. (Read more)
- Father God, we join the prayers of millions of others on behalf of the life of this precious child. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way to rescue the life of this precious little one, in Your name, amen.
- "Nothing is too difficult for You." (Jeremiah 32:17)
10. Police Find Drugs in Raid of Vatican Apartment - US News
Vatican police have reportedly raided a Vatican-owned apartment and arrested an aide to one of Pope Francis' key advisers.
Police in late June found widespread drug-use and men engaged in homosexual activity during the bust at the home owned by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, according to Il Fatto Quotidiano, an Italian newspaper that first reported the incident. Among its duties, the congregation guides the Church's response to clerical sexual abuse cases.
Authorities reportedly arrested the secretary of Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, who was an occupant of the apartment, but official charges in connection with the incident have not been reported. Coccopalmerio, who serves as president of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts and leads interpretations of the laws of the Church, is said to have recommended his secretary for a promotion to bishop. . .
The newspaper described the pope as "enraged," and said the aide was first taken to a clinic and hospitalized to detox from the drugs he had used, and "is currently in retreat at a convent in Italy." (Read more)
- Lord God, we do pray for this man who is another victim of drug abuse, that he be cleansed, healed, set free and restored to faith in You, O Lord, amen.
- ". . . you may be sure that your sin will find you out." (Numbers 32:23)

1. Tillerson Says North Korean ICBM Test a 'New Escalation' of Threat to US, World - CNS News
North Korea's testing of an intercontinental ballistic missile "represents a new escalation of the threat to the United States, our allies and partners, the region, and the world," Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Tuesday, calling for global action "to stop a global threat."
The U.S. has called an urgent session of the U.N. Security Council (UNSC), and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley has joined her South Korean and Japanese counterparts in calling on China - which holds the council's rotating presidency this month - to make the meeting an open door one.
Reacting to Monday night's launch of what U.S. officials believe to be an ICBM - the North Koreans identified it as a Hwasong-14 missile - Tillerson warned that countries which host North Korean guest workers, provide economic or military benefits, or fail to fully implement UNSC resolutions relating to Pyongyang are "aiding and abetting a dangerous regime."(Read more)
- Father, we pray You would give the Trump Administration an effective strategy to neutralize the military threat from North Korea.
- Perhaps the Lord will perform wonders for us as in times past so that he will withdraw from us. (Jeremiah 21:2b)
2. North Korea ICBM test gives world bad options - Washington Times
The Trump administration and the international community on Wednesday were weighing a range of bad policy options after North Korea's ballistic missile program cleared a dangerous milestone this week, leaving the White House and its allies scrambling for diplomatic - and potentially military - solutions to curb Pyongyang's increasingly potent nuclear capabilities.
With President Trump traveling to Poland and on to Germany for the Group of 20 summit Wednesday, the sharpest U.S. response came from Nikki Haley, ambassador to the United Nations, who said the U.S. would not rule out a military response and was preparing a package of punishments for the Security Council to consider.
With its Tuesday test-firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile that U.S. analysts say has the potential to deliver a nuclear warhead to Alaska and U.S. allies across East Asia, Pyongyang was "quickly closing off the possibility of a diplomatic solution," Mrs. Haley told an emergency meeting of the Security Council.
"One of our capabilities lies with our considerable military forces. We will use them if we must, but we prefer not to have to go in that direction," she said. (Read more)
- Father God, we are grateful that America has these weapons if ever needed, but we trust ourselves to You and to the weapons of our warfare to bring the peace that is needed with North Korea. We continue to ask Your wisdom to prevail, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.
- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)
3. North Korea ICBM test: Alaska, Hawaii pols demand better missile defense - Fox News
Lawmakers in Alaska and Hawaii are doubling down on calls for improved U.S. defenses after North Korea test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile that experts say could hit Alaska.
. . . As officials debated in New York over what the international response should be, the states closest to Pyongyang's weapons appealed for action in Washington.
"Today, Alaskans awoke to disturbing news that North Korea tested a missile that some experts say may be able to reach Alaska in the near future," Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, said on Tuesday. "Now more than ever, it's imperative for Alaskans and the rest of the nation that we be prepared."
Sullivan, along with Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, and other senators, introduced bipartisan legislation in May that would improve capability and capacity of U.S. homeland missile defense in response to North Korean aggression.
"This bill will help improve our ability to defend Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. mainland against a North Korean ballistic missile threat," Schatz said when the bill was introduced. (Read more)
- Father, we are thankful that this bill has already been introduced in Congress, and we ask for its swift passage, in Jesus' name, amen.
- " . . . if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:19,20) (Matthew 18:19,20)
4. US vows it will 'never accept a nuclear North Korea' after new missile test - Fox News
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson vowed Tuesday that the U.S. would "never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea" while U.S. and South Korean forces held joint ballistic missile drills after the Communist nation successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile.
Tillerson also called for all nations to fully implement United Nations sanctions against North Korea, saying "global action is required to stop a global threat."
Meanwhile, the U.S. military said it had conducted a "precision firing" demonstration off the coast of the Korean Peninsula in response to what it called North Korea's "destabilizing and unlawful actions."
Pentagon spokesman Dana White also condemned the missile test and reiterated that, "we remain prepared to defend ourselves and our allies and to use the full range of capabilities at our disposal against the growing threat from North Korea." (Read more)
- Father God, now that the United States has clearly drawn a line in the sand, we pray that the enemy (North Korea) will refrain from crossing over it.
- [Re: North Korea's threats] "Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us." (Isaiah 8:10)
5. Serious worry about North Korea if 'Dear Leader' vanishes - WND
While the world frets over a North Korean missile launched on the Fourth of July, the latest provocation reignites perhaps an even more urgent issue: What would happen to the nuclear-armed communist state if its "Dear Leader" were gone?
North Korea's line of succession is as murky as pinpointing just what its military actually shot into the Sea of Japan on Tuesday, as experts are divided over whether it was the nation's first test of a truly intercontinental missile, one capable of hitting Alaska, or just another intermediate-range missile launched at a steep trajectory.
As for the country's future direction, dictator Kim Jong-un apparently has no natural successors, leaving the prospect of a massive power vacuum were his demise to suddenly arrive. (Read more)
- Father God, we leave this sensitive matter in Your Hands, as we know from Scripture that it is You who sets kings in place. We trust You to choose and to appoint the successor to Kim Jong-un, should that time come, in Your name, amen.

Call to prayer for the G20 Summit in Germany, July 6-8
Submitted by John Robb, President, International Prayer Council
Introduction:
. . . A prayer leader from Germany . . . has written asking for our urgent prayer support for the G20 summit that will meet in Hamburg, Germany in the next couple of days. Here is his call to prayer for this important gathering and concerning all the threats arrayed against it:
I need your urgent help in spreading the prayer request for the G20 Summit in Hamburg from 6-8 of July to all prayer networks you are connected with.
The results of this G20 summit will influence the whole world. It is the first time that leaders like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet together. A major shift to nationalism and individualism seems to be in front of all the major problems like hunger, climate, war, terror, fanaticism and refugees movements and financial crisis. Roman 13,1ff told us that all kings and powers are installed by God, but in 1.Tim 2,1ff we as the body of Christ have the responsibility of intercession. Will we stand together as a worldwide body of Christ, while our political leaders meet together.
Danger is coming from the international protest movement, who have prepared themselves to block the summit and bring violence to the streets, to the infrastructure and to the capital and trade structure in the biggest harbor of Europe. 20.000 policemen are drawn together in the City. The summit itself is being held in the very center of Hamburg. Protest groups from the anti-fascism and anti-capitalist groups, together with militant socialists, Marxists, and communists will meet with groups of militant Kurds in Europe who fight against Erdogan (president of Turkey), as well as the climate protest-movement and all international NGOs fighting for justice. Now in Hamburg all protest people against President Trump will be also on the streets because this is his first visit to Germany. It is, therefore, a dangerous collection of protest movements, which could result in awful violence.
We need your prayers to provide peace and covering over the health of police and protest participants. The protest demonstration at the beginning at the 6th of July is under the title: "G20 welcome to hell". 50 years ago the 1968 revolution started in Germany and brought violence for 30 years to our nation and a society shift of free sexuality which aimed in the movement for "marriage for all". This suddenly became the new law in my nation a few days ago. . . so in the year of 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we want to see God´s plans go out from Germany to the nations, and not the evil ones.
This is the protest schedule:
6th of July: Demonstration: "G20 welcome to hell" (that is the official title)
7th of July: Block the harbor, Block the streets for the participants of the summit, Block the infrastructure of the capitalism, trade, communication, Title: "Shut down the logistics of Capitalism"
8th of July: two mass demonstrations through the whole City : "No G20! Solidarity without borders"
The local churches from nearly all denominations and prayer movements of our nation are trying to work together and provide covering prayer in churches, in the streets and in the city of Hamburg. Even 12.000 Catholic children in Hamburg decided to pray together with their teachers for the summit. Five "houses of prayer" will be installed in Hamburg for this event, praying the whole days and some of them also through the nights.
Please, give this urgent prayer request . . . to all your prayer networks. If you have any words from the Lord please let us know. May God bind His people together in prayer, for the benefit of his merciful purposes for the nations! May the peace and the shalom of our Lord Jesus be with us through the next days!
Thanks for sharing with your networks and for your praying."
Yours in Christ

Who watches the watchmen?
Late last week Associated Press became embroiled in yet another fake news controversy when it made up a meeting between the Environmental Protection Agency head and the CEO of Dow Chemical and implied improprieties took place. AP was called out by Breitbart News Network, which followed up on the story and confirmed that no such meeting ever took place, and thus, neither did the impropriety. AP at first refused to print a retraction or a correction, but after a good deal of hounding by Breitbart, it printed a new story saying the meeting didn't take place and a correction of the old story-after three days of allowing the original fake news story to stand in the public. How can we believe any news?
This fake news "gotcha" comes on the heals of CNN reporting about a meeting implying improprieties between Russia and a member of the Donald Trump campaign team. The scandal resulted in the forced resignation of a CNN investigative team, and a virtual war of words between CNN and the White House where reporters are claiming the President is making it dangerous to be a reporter. AP was the brunt of another fake news story earlier in the year when reporter Melanie Plenda sneaked into a Republican fundraiser in New Hampshire and wrote a story that lied about White House counselor KellyAnne Conway's remarks, the crowd's reaction to the remarks and the crowd size.
CNN's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have been going back and forth with the President in the twitter-sphere over the President revealing their love affair and Brzezinski's plastic surgery. Sound's petty, right? But the CNN dual is so upset over this that they aired a fake National Enquirer cover alluding to a bizarre threesome by Senator Ted Cruz to illustrate Scarborough's sarcasm. Scarborough and Brzezinski also took their anger to public through a column he wrote for the Washington Post. The President's thumping on the chest of these media outlets is bringing to public light the very raw and incestual nature of the media's conspiracy to take down the presidency.
While many Americans do not like the President's tweets, he is using them to hold the news media accountable. Newswires such as AP are the very beginning of news stories that other media outlets use. If the story is false, the lie ripples through the public unabated. The news media often refers to itself as the watchmen who protect the public with the truth. Isaiah 56:10 says of blind watchmen: "they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter." Who watches the watchmen? We the people have to discern the truth. Now more than ever we need to first question if a news story even seems accurate and check other sources. The watchmen in the media are unworthy and untrustworthy. Don't believe them.

Sissy Journalism
Over the July 4th Holiday, so-called journalists from across the liberal media have been decrying the "war" President Donald Trump has declared on the news media. These people have been pushing the limits of undermining the presidency in tandem with the Democratic Party since the election, reporting leftist bias, fake news, making up meetings and getting caught fabricating sources, meetings and stories. For the first time in recent memory, the office of the President has fought back, exposing the small-mindedness and cowardice of this generation of tabloid writers who call themselves journalists. The result has been a bunch of sissies crying that people might be getting angry with them.
CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta said that, "I can't speak for everybody who has covered Donald Trump since he was a candidate. I covered him throughout that campaign, and now that he's president of the United States-my concern is, and I know it's shared by others, is that this kind of rhetoric, this kind of behavior is going to lead to a journalist being hurt. That's the thing I worry about...I hate that I'm worried about that on 4th of July weekend when we're all supposed to be celebrating our freedoms, including the First Amendment, the right to free speech and the free press." Acosta was referring to Trump tweeting a video where he did a pro-wrestling throw down of a man with a CNN logo superimposed on his face, "this is just not the kind of information you expect to come from the president of the United States."
The narrative in the leftist news media, as fueled by the Democrats, is that Trump is mentally unfit for office. Liberal commentator Keith Olbermann said that the Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office. MSNBC's Dr. Joe Scarborough said Trump's mental state is in decline. Scarborough's lover, Dr. Mika Brzesinski, whose father was Zbigniew Brzesinski, Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, said Trump has "literally devolved." These are hardly unbiased sources. Leftist Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) introduced a bill to form a "bipartisan commission" to declare Trump mentally unfit and invoke the 25th Amendment, which allows the Vice President to declare a president unfit.
A couple of points here: 1) The Democratic Party and the news media are working on the mentally unfit narrative; 2) These so-called "journalists" can gin up hatred and violence through their tone and false reporting, but when they are called out, they start crying foul. The combined affect of the Democratic Party, its celebrity minions and the news media drove a man to make a list and try to assassinate conservative members of Congress. While many might disagree with how the President is pushing back, he is exposing the insidious, undermining, hypocritical and dishonest actions of the media. Their tabloid journalism becomes sissy journalism, and they become filled with fear. Proverbs 29:25 says, "The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe." Herein is the issue-No God, know fear; Know God, no fear.

Classic Hymns:
The Old Rugged Cross
"The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Galatians 6:14)
Lyrics
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross / The emblem of suff'ring and shame / And I love that old cross where the dearest and best / For a world of lost sinners was slain. *Refrain:
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross / Till my trophies at last I lay down / I will cling to the old rugged cross / And exchange it some day for a crown.
Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world / Has a wondrous attraction for me / For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above / To bear it to dark Calvary. (*Refrain)
In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine / Such a wonderful beauty I see / For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died / To pardon and sanctify me. (*Refrain)
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true / Its shame and reproach gladly bear / Then He'll call me someday to my home far away / Where His glory forever I'll share. (*Refrain)

About the Author:
George Bennard
Bennard was born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1873 and spent his childhood in Iowa. His father was a tavern owner and later, a coal miner. Bennard's conversion at the age of 22 through the evangelistic ministry of the Salvation Army in Canton, Iowa, led to his ordination and commissioning as a traveling evangelist in 1898. In 1910, stepping out in faith, Bennard resigned and began his own itinerant ministry. He traveled throughout the Midwest, holding revivals until his retirement in Reed City, Michigan, more than 30 years later. Loved for its lilting melody and words of personal trust in the cross of Christ, "The Old Rugged Cross" remains one of the most cherished hymns of the Christian faith. It has since been included in numerous hymnals and recordings by contemporary artists.
About the Hymn:
The year was 1912 and George Bennard, an evangelist traveling throughout the Midwest, was heckled incessantly by several youth at a revival meeting in Michigan.
A Vision, a Melody and the Completion of the First Verse Troubled by their disregard for the gospel, Bennard turned to Scripture to reflect on the work of Christ on the cross. He later recalled, "I seemed to have a vision. I saw the Christ and the cross inseparable."
The melody came easily, and the first verse was completed by Bennard during a series of meetings in Albion, Michigan.
Several months later, the remaining three verses were completed in Pokagon, Michigan, where Bennard was leading meetings at a local church.
The First Performance of the Hymn
After completing the hymn, he performed the song in its entirety for the sponsoring pastor and his wife, Rev. Leroy and Ruby Bostwick, in the living room of the parsonage. The Bostwicks were moved to tears and incorporated the song in the revival service on June 7, 1913.
First, Bennard sang his hymn with guitar accompaniment, and then a five-voice choir sang with organ and violin accompaniment.
Today, that same church building, originally a hops barn, is owned by the non-profit Old Rugged Cross Foundation and welcomes thousands of visitors annually.
The hymn quickly spread throughout the region and came to the attention of the evangelist Billy Sunday, who frequently utilized it in his meetings. Two years later, Bennard sold the copyright to the song for a payment of $500, forgoing future royalties. Upon the renewal of the copyright 28 years later, he received a final payment of $5,000.

PHOTOS: NASA rover spots 'alien thigh bone' on Mars
NASA's rover has photographed a strange formation of rocks that some UFO hunters claim are really fossilized "alien bones" proving there's life on Mars.
The one-ton Curiosity rover, which has been scouring the surface of the planet since August 2012, sent back a pair of images that resemble thigh bones and a hip bone protruding from the planet's surface.
The alien-hunter group Martian Archaeology presented the images in a video claiming the photos are evidence of "signs of life":
Some took the photos as surefire evidence that NASA must be hiding proof of life.
"After years of research and study, I'm convinced now, more than ever, that there['s] much more to Mars then [sic] what NASA admits to," wrote T.J. Devereaux in the comments section of the video. "I'm certain life, including water, and intelligent life forms, once occupied the planet, and . . . big leap here . . . that both still exist, in much smaller quantities."
However, NASA has said the following 2014 photo - which some have claimed could be an "alien thigh bone - is just another weathered Martian rock.

"God Heard My Baby Cry"': Mom Posts Tearful Message After Nobody Would Hire Her 'Special' Son

[Faithit.com] After graduating last year, Keya Thompson's son Charles Bonds Jr. had spent his months out of the classroom relentlessly searching for a job.
Charles-known affectionately as Bam Bam-has filled out applications to work all over Gonzales, Texas, but hasn't managed to be hired by a single person. Feeling discouraged, he broke down to his mom, who penned the beautiful interaction on Facebook:
"He asked me, 'Mamma, is it because I'm special?' And, of course as a mother it brought me to tears," she writes. "I told him, 'No, you just have to push even harder.'"
That's just what he did!
"Nobody would give him a chance, but God is good and heard my baby cry and answered his prayer."
After a long journey of submitting applications and getting his hopes up for just one phone call in regards to a job he desperately wanted, Bam Bam was finally hired at Whataburger.
"He tells me, 'Mom I'm not going to give it 100% imma give it a thousand percent.' And I know he will!"
Watching her son learn and grow through this process was acknowledgably difficult, but Keya takes heart in Deuteronomy 31:6.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."
