Focus on Israel

1. Netanyahu: We won't cede security control of the Jordan Valley - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday pledged that he would not cede military control of the Jordan valley in any future peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority.

"We seek peace with our neighbors, a real peace, a peace that will last for generations," Netanyahu said at an event in at Latrun, west of Jerusalem, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Six Day War.

"That is why in any agreement -- and without an agreement -- we shall maintain security control over all the territory west of the Jordan (river)," he added.

"We insist that the Palestinians finally recognize Israel as the national home of the Jewish people," Netanyahu said.

2. 'The Western Wall belongs only to Muslims' - Israel National News

The Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem on Monday dismissed comments by senior Fatah official Jibril Rajoub regarding the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Rajoub spoke on Saturday to Channel 2 News, saying that the Western Wall must remain under "Jewish sovereignty."

"We understand that the wall... is sacred for Jews. At the end of the day it must be under Jewish sovereignty, there is no doubt about it," he said.

3. Hamas: Palestinian Authority cut our salaries! - World Israel News

Hamas lawmakers say they have not received their monthly salaries, which they suspect was a move orchestrated by Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas.

Hamas lawmaker Ayman Daraghmeh said Monday that 47 Hamas government members did not receive their June salaries and were told by the ministry of finance that it was due to "orders from above."

Salaries were not paid to Hamas lawmakers based in the Judea and Samaria area. Payments to Hamas lawmakers in Gaza have been suspended since 2007, when the terror group violently overtook the coastal territory from Abbas' rival Fatah party.

4. In step toward annexation, ministers demand new laws include settlements -Times of Israel

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked announced Tuesday that all government legislation will henceforth explicitly mention applicability to residents of West Bank settlements, in an apparent step toward expanding Israeli sovereignty in the West Bank.

MKs were holding a series of committee meetings on improving the lives of Jews living in West Bank settlements - regarding education, immigration absorption, and housing - as the Knesset celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the Six Day War, when Israel captured the West Bank, along with the Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, Gaza and Sinai.

"We are trying to change the reality of legislation in the Knesset," Shaked, of the right-wing Jewish Home party, told the Knesset House Committee.

5. UN Chief Calls for End to Israeli 'Occupation' on 50th Anniversary of Six-Day War - Breaking Israel News

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern with Israel's "occupation" in the disputed territories on the Gregorian calendar's 50th anniversary of the start of the Six-Day War, which saw Israel take control over eastern Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from June 5-10.

Guterres, who has previously slammed critics of Israel as anti-Semites and reaffirmed Jerusalem's Jewish roots, shifted gears by saying the Israeli "occupation" sends "an unmistakable message to generations of Palestinians that their dream of statehood is destined to remain just that, a dream; and to Israelis that their desire for peace, security and regional recognition remains unattainable."

The U.N. leader said only a two-state solution would "achieve the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people."

Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Celebrating the Reunification of Jerusalem - Liberty Council

In recognition of the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967 during the Six-Day War, the U.S. Senate unanimously approved Senate Resolution 176, which reaffirms the historic Jewish connection to Jerusalem and marks the 50th anniversary of its reunification.

Authored by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Charles Schumer, the bipartisan resolution recognizes "there has been a continuous Jewish presence in Jerusalem for three millennia" and hails Jerusalem as a "united city in which the rights of all faiths have been respected and protected" since 1967. The Senate Resolution also called on President Trump to abide by the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which calls for the Embassy to be moved to Jerusalem.

From 1948 to 1967, Israeli citizens from all religious backgrounds and Jewish and Christian people of all nationalities could not access East Jerusalem's Old City and holy sites, including the historic Western Wall that dates back to the Second Temple. On June 7, Israel Defense Forces reached the Western Wall. Israel immediately permitted the world to access this holy site.

- Father, we are grateful for this unanimous resolution affirming our nation's relationship with Israel. We pray this bipartisanship will extend to other legislation that reflects Your will for our nation.

- I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:3)

2. US Senate in Unanimous Vote Celebrating Unified Jerusalem: Move the Embassy - Breaking Israel News

The U.S. Senate urged President Donald Trump to fulfill his campaign promise of relocating the American embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, unanimously passing legislation in support of the move Monday.

The Senate voted 90-0 in favor of a resolution introduced in May by Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), commemorating the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem's reunification and acknowledging Israel's sovereignty over its capital.

The resolution urges the "president and all United States officials to abide by" the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls on the U.S. to relocate its embassy and recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Since the law's passage, every sitting president has signed successive six-month waivers delaying the move. Most recently, Trump signed the waiver June 1.

- Father, we pray the U.S. Embassy would be moved to Jerusalem as quickly as possible. Thank You for this statement of support from our Senate.

3. Haley arrives in Israel, says she has 'no patience for bullies' at the UN - World Israel News

"If there's anything I have no patience for it is bullies, and the UN was being such a bully to Israel," US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley told Netanyahu during her visit to the Jewish state.

US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Nikki Haley, one of the most outspoken officials in the Trump administration, arrived in Israel for a three-day visit, her first to the Jewish state.

"We are honored to welcome you to our country and thank you for standing resolutely by our side," Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said in his greeting. "We look forward to showing you our beautiful country as we work together to further strengthen our alliance."

She first met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who thanked her for "standing up for Israel, standing up for the truth, which is standing up for America."

- Father, thank You for using Ambassador Haley to change the conversation at the United Nations. We pray her efforts to refocus the United Nations on real global problems will be fruitful.

- What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? "The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge." (Isaiah 14:32)

4. Third London attacker named as imams refuse to perform funeral rites - Fox News

British police on Tuesday named the final member of the terror trio that murdered seven people on Saturday in a knife and van attack before police shot the jihadis dead -- and the news comes as more than 130 Muslim religious leaders were refusing to say funeral prayers for any members of the ISIS cell.

Youssef Zaghba, a Moroccan-born Italian man, was identified Tuesday morning as the final member of the trio that descended upon the London Bridge on Saturday. The other two attackers were named Monday as Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane.

The decision by the Muslim leaders was seen as an "unprecedented" move because the funeral ritual is typically performed on a deceased Muslim no matter the person's past actions. The group of religious leaders have urged others to join them in declining to pray for the dead killers.

"We, as Muslim imams and religious leaders, condemn the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London in the strongest terms possible," the Muslim leaders said in a statement. "Coming from a range of backgrounds, and from across the U.K.; feeling the pain the rest of the nation feels, we have come together to express our shock and utter disgust at these cold-blooded murders. We are deeply hurt that a spate of terror attacks have been committed in our country once more by murderers who seek to gain religious legitimacy for their actions. We seek to clarify that their reprehensible actions have neither legitimacy nor our sympathy."

- Father, we pray the sincerity of this statement against violent jihad will be proven true or false. Help the British people remove all those who desire to harm their citizens and take over their nation.

- Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. (Psalm 120:2)

5. Franklin Graham: US, UK Need to Wake Up to Threat of Islam 'Before It's Too Late' - Christian Post

Prominent evangelist Franklin Graham has warned that given the increasing terror attacks on civilians in the United Kingdom, both the British and United States governments need to "wake up" to the reality of Islamic terrorism before "it's too late."

After terrorists killed seven and injured 48 others in two attacks claimed by the Islamic State in London Saturday night, Graham, the son of legendary evangelist Billy Graham and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, took to his Facebook page to issue his thoughts, as he has often done following terror attacks.

"Since 9/11, I have been warning America about the dangers of the teachings of Islam," Graham wrote on his Facebook page Sunday. "Followers of Islam are taught very troubling passages that encourage them to murder and maim those they refer to infidels, or nonbelievers. With the internet and social media, radicalization is only increasing - and the dangers are continuing to increase."

- Father, we pray our leaders, pastors, and all Christians will heed this warning and work to counter the threat of Islam to our communities and nation.

-"At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us." (Nehemiah 4:20)

6. White House wants healthcare vote this summer, tax reform in fall - Reuters

The White House is hoping to kick-start its stalled legislative agenda with congressional action on healthcare reform this summer that will clear the way for lawmakers to begin work on a major tax bill after the Sept. 4 Labor Day holiday, an administration official said on Monday. Senate Republicans will vote on their version of healthcare reform legislation before lawmakers' August recess, White House Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short said. The House of Representatives passed a bill in May.

"There's been a lot of discussions with staff," Short told reporters at a briefing. "I think the text is pretty far along."

Congress will then turn its focus to overhauling the tax code in September. While the administration would prefer that the effort not add to the national debt, Short stressed that the top priority would be cutting taxes.

- Father, we pray these important pieces of legislation will not be delayed. We pray the leadership of the House and Senate will have a sense of urgency to get these things done for the American people.

- But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability. (2 Corinthians 8:11)

7. Nearly 50,000 urge Trump to probe Seth Rich murder - World Net Daily

It's the mysterious slaying no one in the mainstream media or Congress wants to talk about, but nearly 50,000 Americans are now urging President Trump to press for an official investigation into the unsolved murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.

Tens of thousands of Americans have signed a White House petition calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the case. The petition, which was created May 19, currently has almost half the signatures required - with a goal of 100,000 by June 18 - to receive a response from the White House.

8. NSA Leaks Contradict What Obama Promised The Public About Russia's Election Meddling - Daily Caller

Leaked NSA documents revealing that Russia engaged in election-related hacking efforts just days before the election directly contradict what former President Barack Obama told the American public.

Speaking at a year-end news conference in December, Obama told the public that Russian interference in the election ceased after he told Russian President Vladimir Putin to "cut it out" in early September. Russia's cyberattacks stopped after warnings of "serious consequences" if they continued, Obama said.

- Don't you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. (1 Corinthians 6:3)

9. High 'resistance': NSA leaker a fierce Trump hater - World Net Daily

A 25-year-old National Security Agency contractor - with a top-secret security clearance - who has been arrested and charged with leaking classified information publicly referred to President Trump as a "piece of s-t" and a "soulless ginger orangutan" on social media, said she wanted to "resist" the president and pledged to back Iran in a hypothetical war against the U.S.

And if America could only have four more years of President Obama, the NSA contractor said in November 2016, she would "literally eat the original constitution."

- Father, we pray for Reality Winner - who through deception and hate, has turned against her country, and destroyed her young life. We pray for her repentance and salvation so that she would come to know the real Truth - Jesus. We pray You intervene in our affairs, and give us wisdom on how to stop the hate and division among our people.

- But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house [divided] against a house falleth.

Then the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." (Genesis 3:13) (Luke 11:17)

10. Donald Trump Nominates Christopher Wray To Be The New FBI Director - Daily Caller

Donald Trump has nominated Christopher Wray to be the new director of the FBI.

The president announced the pick in a tweet Wednesday: "I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow."

Wray was an assistant attorney general who oversaw the criminal division under President George W. Bush from 2003 to 2005. He was also New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's personal lawyer during the "Bridgegate" scandal.

Extraordinary Middle East prophetic developments

The London Islamic terrorist attacks and wrestling with the thought of how such an atrocity could happen when many of the attackers previously had been identified, has overshadowed prophetic developments in the Middle East to which we should be paying close attention. The gathering together in Syria of many of the nations involved in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy about a colossal end time battle points to important prophetic implications found in the Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 8 prophecies where two current opposing powers, Iran (Persia) and Turkey (Magog), are facing one another. A close reading and study of the Biblical text shows how these prophecies are related and that, contrary to traditional teachings, both remain unfulfilled.

Daniel Chapter 8 describes how a ram with two horns charged toward the west, north and south and did as it pleased. Then a goat with a prominent horn came from the west and attacked the ram, shattering its two horns. The goat then became very powerful, but at the height of its power its horn was broken off. Then it grew four horns, and out of them came a small horn that grew in power. Many scholars have interpreted this prophecy as fulfilled when Alexander the Great conquered Media-Persia and his empire was divided into four parts after his death. This is not, however, how Gabriel interpreted Daniel's vision in the text. Gabriel's interpretation, a contextual misinterpretation of the word "Grecia" in the passage, and current events in the Middle East are key ingredients to the possible unfolding of prophecy.

In Daniel 8:19, Gabriel says, "Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia." Strong's Concordance interprets the word "Grecia" in Hebrew as "Yavan, a son of Japheth (the third son of Noah)," his descendants and their land. The Genesis 10 table of nations indicates this area was not only Greece (as Bible interpretations imply), but also the Eastern Mediterranean, including key parts of today's Turkey. Other sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Tubal, Meshek, and Tiras-many settled in ancient areas of Turkey which are mentioned in Ezekiel 38.

Gabriel's interpretation of Daniel's vision of "what shall be in the last end" and "for at the time appointed the end shall be" is clearly an end-time prophecy, which was not fulfilled by Alexander the Great and his generals as is widely taught. These events are yet to occur for the little horn to rise to power. Currently, Iran has control over much of Iraq and Syria. Turkey is counterbalancing that control through ISIS and pressure from its allies, including the US and European Union. Turkey "President," Recep Tayyip Erdogan, recently attained dictatorship-level authority and made it clear that he seeks to be the leader of the Islamic world. For Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 8 to be fulfilled, Turkey and Iran must come into alignment. We may be seeing this playing out as these nations and their proxies face one another in Syria.

No, Mayor Kahn, we all should be alarmed by Islamic Terror

In May, 2016, the citizens of London, which is approximately 14% Islamic, elected the first Islamic Mayor of a major Western City. Sadiq Khan has since seen his city subjected to three Islamic terrorist attacks-North Greewich in October 2016 (bomb failed to explode), Westminster in March and the recent London Bridge attack on June 3, all killing some 16 people and injuring scores more. These were the first such Islamic terror attacks in London since 2013. Yet the mayor said in the wake of the London Bridge attack that people in the city should not be alarmed by the additional police. This statement is indicative of a tyranny that should alarm every citizen of Western civilization.

The exact quote by Kahn was: "Londoners should be aware that there will be additional armed and unarmed police officers on our streets from tonight in order to keep Londoners, and all those visiting our city safe. I want to reassure all Londoners, and all our visitors, not to be alarmed. Our city remains one of the safest in the world." The context is that there are armed police in the streets of London because they don't know where the next Islamist is going to strike. Quite frankly, there is even more reason to be alarmed because of the soft tyranny oppressing freedom of speech and thought in London because of the presence of Islam. A Jot subscriber recently wrote, " Sorry-I cannot give my name and address-being called an Islamophobe is a serious matter in England." This oppression is a threat to freedom of religion and speech worldwide.

As our anonymous friend writes: "I am reminded of the poster saying, "Behead those who say that Islam is not a religion of peace." Another question that comes to mind is 'How have we allowed millions of people to follow a religion based on the unsubstantiated claims of one violent pedophile?'" He recalled that professor C John Summerville demonstrated how Christianized students were, even if they were atheistic or pagan, by listing the values of shame and honor cultures. He continued: "His point was that much of what is good and unique about Western civilization is actually "borrowed capital" from a Christian faith, even though the supernatural elements of the faith have been otherwise neglected of late in the public sphere. Islamic influence causes us to regress to a shame and honor culture."

He said we should be better equipped to deal with 1 Peter 3:15 opportunities. I couldn't agree more. 1 Peter 3:15-17 says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that's asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing than for evil doing." If we do not stand for good, evil prevails--just as our kin in London have learned the hard way by submitting to the deliberate model of tyranny invoked by political correctness and Islam.

Mike Pence in the News

Pence Breakfast Jam-Packed with Optimism

June 06, 2017

This morning, Vice President Mike Pence didn't just speak about prayer -- he was the proof that prayers are answered! After eight years of punishment under the Obama administration, America's Catholics are just one of the faith groups relieved to have a friend in the White House. President Trump's second-in-command didn't waste any time renewing ties at the 13th annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in D.C. For the last several years, the group of 1,000 has met under the long shadow of the Obama administration, which seemed to invent new ways almost every day to punish the church for its biblical convictions.

Now, the former Catholic-turned-evangelical insists, the page has officially turned on those dark days. "This administration hears you. This administration stands with you," he told the crowd. But unlike so many leaders, these two have proven it. President Trump and Vice President Pence haven't just talked about protecting life, they've done it. They haven't just pledged to defend religious liberty, they've issued an executive order insisting on it. And when the time comes to finally defund Planned Parenthood, Donald Trump will be the one proudly signing on the dotted line. "President Donald Trump stands with the men and women who stand for the sanctity of human life in America, and he always will," Pence vowed. "Since day one of this administration, President Donald Trump has been keeping his promise to stand for life," he went on. "And life is winning in America again. In one of his very first acts in Congress, President Trump reinstated the Mexico City policy to prevent taxpayer funding from organizations that perform or promote abortion abroad."
When it comes to health care and the half-billion dollar taxpayer scandal of Planned Parenthood, the former congressman explains that Donald Trump hasn't just gone after Cecile Richards's group, but empowered states to do the same. "And I'm humbled to say that at the president's direction, I had the privilege of casting the tie-breaking vote in the United States Senate . . ."
On the topic of international religious liberty, Pence said that Trump is "a president who knows that terrorism is an existential threat to people of faith in countries around the globe." Pence spoke about Trump's visit with the Pope and how in Saudi Arabia, Trump had condemned "the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians across the wider Arab world." Pence expressed that "the practitioners of terror harbor a special hatred for the followers of Christ, and none more so than the barbarians known as ISIS. I believe that ISIS is guilty of nothing short of genocide." He also said that "Christianity faces unprecedented threats in the land where it was given birth." But fortunately for the troubles of this day, there are two men in the White House determined to do everything in their power to help. And not just for the world's sake -- but for ours.

Honoring D-Day

D-Day invasion: What is D-Day and what happened on June 6, 1944?

It was 73 years ago Tuesday, on June 6, 1944, that the invasion of Europe began behind the largest landing force the world had ever seen.

The invasion, which became known as D-Day, began as Operation Neptune, part of Operation Overlord which was the code name for the Allied invasion of northwest Europe. U.S. Gen. Dwight David Eisenhower was the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe. Eisenhower planned and directed the invasion, and on the night before the operation told troops that their mission would not be an easy one," but that he had "full confidence" in the men's "courage and devotion to duty and skill in battle."

So what happened on that day? Here's a look:

The operation began at 12:15 a.m. on June 6, 1944, when more than 13,000 Americans from the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions began to parachute behind German lines. About three hours later, Allied bombers struck the German lines near the 50-mile strip along the Normandy coasts. According to historians, 7 million pounds of bombs would be dropped by the end of the day.

UK Election Tomorrow

Everything you need to know about tomorrow's important UK election

The United Kingdom goes to the polls - again - tomorrow after Theresa May, the Prime Minister, called a snap General Election in April. Both parties go into the final day of campaigning today with the race apparently much tighter than many expected a month ago. Despite ruling out a snap election when she took over after the Brexit referendum in June last year, Mrs May announced the vote in the hope that she can capitalise on internal divisions within the Labour Party and bolster the Conservative's majority in the House of Commons.

The Conservatives enjoyed a large lead at the beginning of the campaign and a good result for Mrs May on Thursday would give her a strong position as she negotiates a "hard Brexit" from the European Union.

Divine Timing: These Bible Ads on London Buses Can't Be Ignored

(London, England)-[CBN News] There is a message ringing out in London today and it runs counter to the atmosphere of fear, death, and destruction that comes with a terror attack; instead, it's a message of God's comfort and saving grace in the midst of darkness.

The timing of the attack, happening on the eve of Pentecost Sunday, means that churches throughout the city were already prepared to host large prayer services.

"One of the largest gatherings of prayer vigils is happening right across every cathedral in the country," CBN News correspondent Peter Wooding said the day after the attack. "The Archbishop of Canterbury is in Winchester Cathedral right at this very moment praying for this nation. So it couldn't come at a better time. . . the unity we are seeing in this country," he added.
