We are issuing this special prayer alert as friends on the Hill have advised us that Congressman Scalise's condition is much more serious than has been reported in the news.
The doctors have just completed his third surgery since his gunshot yesterday, and more are to be expected over time.
In the meantime, there is an ongoing need for prayer that all bleeding will stop, and for the injury to his hip bone and internal organs be repaired.
As we lift up this prayer below, let us also agree that our God will grant His wisdom and grace to rest upon the medical team that are now guiding Rep. Scalise through this process of recovery.

Pray for Steve Scalise
Father God,
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come before Your Throne of Grace and we lift Congressman Steve Scalise before Your altar of mercy.
We thank You that it is written in Isaiah 55:11 . . .
"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
We now decree this promise from Scripture for Rep. Steve Scalise, and we decree OUT LOUD that it is written:
"Steve Scalise will not die, but he will live and declare the works of the Lord." (Psalm 118:17 NKJV)
We also decree this verse from the New International Version of the Bible: (Also out loud)
"He will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done." (NIV)
Father God, we call forth these healing verses, out loud, before Your Throne of Grace: (personalized for Steve Scalise)
1. Psalm 107:20 (NASB) "He sent His word and healed him, And delivered him from his destructions."
2. Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) " . . . with his stripes we are healed."
3. Micah 7:15 (NASB) "As in the days when you came out from the land of Egypt, I will show you miracles."
