U.S. Embassy to Remain in Tel Aviv

President Trump Announces His Decision:

For Now . . . U.S. Embassy to Remain in Tel Aviv

The president has now made public his decision about whether to move our embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. . . For now, the U.S. Embassy will remain in Tel Aviv.

As you read the headlines below, all referring to this critical decision, please join us in prayer:
- Father God, we bring our President, Donald J. Trump, before Your Throne of Grace today. We trust that he is now ruling in our nation by Your Hand, as You have surely set him in office.

Father, we stand in the gap for President Trump and for America as this decision has now been made, and we ask that You continue to guide him with Your wisdom in this matter in the days ahead. Let the timing of this move be made in Your timing, O Lord, and grant us the grace to forgive. In Your Name we offer this prayer, amen.

- "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." (Proverbs 21:1)

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

1. President Trump Delays Jerusalem Embassy Move - The White House
Statement on the American Embassy in Israel
While President Donald J. Trump signed the waiver under the Jerusalem Embassy Act and delayed moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, no one should consider this step to be in any way a retreat from the President's strong support for Israel and for the United States-Israel alliance. President Trump made this decision to maximize the chances of successfully negotiating a deal between Israel and the Palestinians, fulfilling his solemn obligation to defend America's national security interests. But, as he has repeatedly stated his intention to move the embassy, the question is not if that move happens, but only when.

2. Trump risks ire of millions of pro-Israel voters by keeping embassy in Tel Aviv - Times of Israel

US President Donald Trump will be risking the ire of millions of his pro-Israel supporters - among them Orthodox Jews and Evangelical Christians - as well as that of Republican mega-donor Sheldon Adelson on Thursday if, as expected, he signs a waiver that would prevent the moving of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

Although Trump campaigned on a pledge to complete the long-anticipated establishment of an embassy in Jerusalem, White House sources indicated Wednesday that he would renew the waiver - a move that may raise hackles among key demographics who supported the president in his 2016 campaign.

"A majority of American Orthodox Jews voted for Mr. Trump because of the expectation that he would be a more supportive president for Israel," said Nathan Diament, executive director for public policy for the Orthodox Union, the largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization in the US. According to Diament, Trump's strong rhetoric - including his promise to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem - was key to building that expectation.

"President Trump's promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem was of critical importance to millions of Christian Zionists who ultimately supported his bid for the White House. They will be watching what the president does very closely," warned Christians United for Israel founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee. (Read more)

3. Israel 'disappointed' with Trump for not moving embassy to Jerusalem - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday he was "disappointed" with US President Donald Trump's decision not to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for now, saying that despite Trump's declared peace-making intentions, delaying the relocation "drives peace further away."

"Israel's consistent position is that the American embassy, like the embassies of all countries with whom we have diplomatic relations, should be in Jerusalem, our eternal capital," Netanyahu's office said in a statement after Trump backtracked on a key promise he made on the campaign trail throughout 2016 by signing a waiver which pushes off moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for at least another six months.

"Maintaining embassies outside the capital drives peace further away by helping keep alive the Palestinian fantasy that the Jewish people and the Jewish state have no connection to Jerusalem," the statement said. (Read more)

4. Palestinians: Trump embassy decision shows his commitment to peace - Times of Israel

The Palestinian Authority on Thursday applauded a decision by US President Donald Trump not to move the US embassy to Jerusalem as he had promised during his election campaign, saying it showed the US administration is serious about making peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

In response to Trump's signing earlier Thursday of a waiver delaying any measures to relocate the embassy for at least another six months, PA spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that it was an "important, positive step" that illustrates the US is serious about promoting peace. (Read more)

1. Report: China open to 'active role' in advancing Mideast peace process - Jerusalem Post

China is willing to play an active role in pushing forward the frozen peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported Tuesday.

The report cited remarks made by Chinese special envoy to the Middle East, Gong Xiaosheng, during a meeting on Monday night with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.

During the convening, Abbas reportedly briefed Gong on recent developments, notedly regarding the PA leader's visit to Washington in April, his trip to Russia in early May and his meeting with US President Donald Trump last week in Bethlehem.

2. UN report: Israel is 'key cause' of Palestinian suffering - Times of Israel

Israel's occupation in the West Bank and the blockade of Gaza are the primary cause for Palestinian "humanitarian needs," according to a UN report released Wednesday.

Published in English, Hebrew and Arabic by the Palestinian branch of the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the report - titled "Fragmented Lives" - bills itself as a "comprehensive overview of the underlying causes or drivers of the humanitarian vulnerabilities in the oPt [occupied Palestinian territory]."

3. Smart city: Jerusalem installing cutting edge wireless network - Jerusalem Post

Jerusalem is the first city and municipality in the country to receive the Communications Ministry's approval to set up an independent wireless communications network utilizing cutting-edge millimeter wave technology.

According to the municipality, the state-of-the-art wireless network will bypass the installation of optic fibers and transmission lines, which are expensive, take extended periods to install and can be disruptive for the public.

The new technology will feature a camera network, monitoring and emergency services, smart-parking solutions, fast Internet for the city's education system, free wi-fi service throughout the capital and transmission of data communication at especially high speeds.

4. Turkey Attempting to Take Over Jordanian Control of Temple Mount - Breaking Israel News

The Jerusalem municipality's eastern Jerusalem experts have revealed in recent days that Turkey has been competing with Jordan over influence among Arab residents as well as over control of the Temple Mount, Hashiloach-an Israeli journal for thought and policy, created by the Tikvah Fund-reported last week.

The city's experts, David Koren and Ben Avrahami, also revealed that Turkey has begun pouring millions of dollars into non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in eastern Jerusalem, in order to strengthen Ankara's status among the Arab residents, at the expense of Jordan and Israel.

5. Sinai Bedouin say Hamas in cahoots with ISIS - World Israel News

The feud between the largest Bedouin tribe in Egypt's lawless Sinai Peninsula and Islamic State terrorists there has sharply escalated since May 22, when ISIS gunmen murdered four Bedouin near Rafah in a dispute over cigarette smuggling. The four members of the Tarabin tribe were beheaded; their corpses were sent back south to Bedouin territory near the village of Tarabin, adjoining the Gulf of Aqaba port of Nuweiba, to be discovered by their fellow tribesmen.

A-Tirabin is considered the largest Bedouin tribe in Israel's Negev and the adjoining Sinai Peninsula. The tribe comprises 500,000 members living in Israel, Sinai and mainland Egypt, including Cairo, Ismailia, Giza and Suez, as well as Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the Gaza Strip. Until the 19th century, the tribe was settled in the Taraba Valley in the Hijaz in today's Saudi Arabia.

The Daily Brief

Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Trump: U.S. to withdraw from Paris climate pact, calls it 'unfair' for America - Fox News

After days of drama and suspense, President Trump announced Thursday that his administration will exit the Paris climate agreement.

"So we're getting out," Trump said. "The Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States."

His decision fulfills a campaign promise and satisfies strong Republican opposition to the global climate deal but isolates the U.S. and is certain to bring condemnation from world leaders and critics in the scientific community. (Read more)

- Father, we do thank You for this bold action taken by our President on behalf of our nation. We lift up those businesses that will be adversely affected by this decision, asking You to provide new sources of income for each one. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen.

- "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."
(Ps. 24:1)

2. 'Potential Disaster' Averted: Man With Guns, Ammunition in Car Arrested at Trump Hotel - NBCNews/DC

A man accused of having guns and 90 rounds of ammunition in his car was arrested inside Trump International Hotel early Wednesday after D.C. police and the Secret Service received a tip about him.

Bryan Moles, 43, of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, was arrested after police found he had an assault rifle, a handgun and ammunition in his car in a parking garage at the hotel in downtown D.C., authorities said.

"The officers and our federal partners, and in particular the tipster coming forward, averted a potential disaster in our nation's capital," said D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham. (Read more)

- Father, we pray the facts will come to light about why Bryan Moles brought these firearms to the Trump Hotel, and we also pray he would not be prosecuted if he was just clueless about gun laws in Washington, DC. We thank You, too, that this potentially dangerous situation was brought under control quickly, so that all who were present at Trump Hotel yesterday were safe.

- "The naïve inherit foolishness, but the sensible are crowned with knowledge." (Proverbs 14:18)

3. Democrats Anti-Trump 'Resistance Summer' Plans Flopping "Bigly" - The Gateway Pundit

'Resistance Summer' against the Trump administration. The campaign rolled out a new web site (resistsummer.com) with interactive features and a video exhorting Democrats to get involved-but no one is getting involved. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that, in spite of the huge sums of money that have been invested in this project for this summer . . . it is turning out to be a flop. We ask for a continued lack of interest or response to prevail for "Resistance Summer," in Your name, amen.

- "Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; State a proposal, but it will not stand, For God is with us." (Isaiah 8:10)

4. James Rosen: Unmasking Obama Administration's Unmaskers - Fox News (RealClearPolitics)

FOX News has confirmed that the FBI, the CIA, and the National Security Agency were all served today with subpoenas issued by the House Intelligence Committee. Sources say each of these subpoenas referenced unmasking and each named as figures of interest three senior Obama era officials.

Former White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice was identified by multiple news agencies last month as someone who requested the names of Trump associates whose names had appeared in coded form in classified intelligence reports be identifed for her -- or 'unmasked.' Rice at the time denied wrongdoing and told us today through a spokesperson that she is unaware of any subpoenas 'directed at her.'

Former CIA Director John Brennan is also named in the subpoenas. In testimony last week, Brennan decried the leaks of classified information that had bedeviled the Trump administration, and which some believe is linked to the unmasking activity. Brennan declined our request for comment. Most noteworthy was the committee's naming of Samantha Power, the former UN ambassador has not previously surfaced in the unmasking controversy. A Pulitzer prize-winning historian, Power served in Barack Obama's Senate office before joining his administration.

House investigators told Fox News they are now devoting more scrutiny to Power, and they have come to see her role in the unmasking as 'larger than previously known.' Allegedly eclipsing the others named. (Read more)

- Father, we pray the House Intelligence Committee will be successful as they investigate Constitutional violations against U.S. citizens by Obama administration officials.

- "But if you fail to keep your word, then you will have sinned against the Lord, and you may be sure that your sin will find you out." (Numbers 32:23)

5. Senate Blue Slip Procedure and Judicial Appointments - Washington Post

"Senate Republicans are threatening to change a custom that allows Democratic senators to block some judicial choices from their states, in an effort to speed along a conservative transformation of the federal judiciary.

Leaders are considering a change to the Senate's "blue slip" practice, which holds that judicial nominations will not proceed unless the nominee's home-state senators signal their consent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Republicans say they will make the change if Democrats throw up blanket opposition to President Trump's nominees.

Adherence to the custom has waxed and waned, depending on the views of Senate leaders. But the rule was strictly observed during the Obama administration, and GOP opposition to President Barack Obama's nominees partly explains why Trump entered office with more than 120 judicial vacancies to fill.

Removing the blue-slip obstacle would make it much easier for Trump's choices to be confirmed. Although Trump and Senate Republicans have clashed early in his presidency, they agree on the importance of putting conservatives on the federal bench." (Read more)

- Pray for God's will to be done in the federal judiciary, from the rules in the Senate to the actual confirmations.

- 'The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him."
(Lam. 3:25)

6. Supreme Court Roundup: Justices Rule on Excessive Force and in Immigration Case - New York Times

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled in favor of police officers who had been sued for using excessive force and an immigrant who had faced deportation for statutory rape. The justices also agreed to decide whether Ohio had been too aggressive in purging its voter rolls. In a unanimous decision, the justices ruled that an appeals court had used the wrong standard in sustaining a $4 million judgment against two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies.

. . . The justices returned the case, County of Los Angeles v. Mendez, No. 16-369, to the appeals court for further proceedings, suggesting that the award might be sustained on a different theory. "For example," Justice Alito wrote, "if the plaintiffs in this case cannot recover on their excessive force claim, that will not foreclose recovery for injuries proximately caused by the warrantless entry." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for the Supreme Court's decisions to improve the application of the rule of law and to protect the liberties of all citizens. We pray for a decision in favor of Ohio removing inactive voters to improve the integrity of their voter registration rolls.

- "May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you." (Psalm 25:21)

7. Religious freedom or bigotry? Supreme Court mulls high-stakes gay wedding cake case - Fox News

Two of the most precious rights Americans possess are the right to express themselves freely and the right to practice their religion as they see fit. Both are enshrined in the First Amendment.

But these rights are not absolute, and sometimes may clash with a duty toward others. The Supreme Court is now considering taking up a case that may test these limits, Masterpiece Cakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.

The case stems from a July 2012 incident at the Masterpiece Cakeshop. Charlie Craig and David Mullins asked Jack Phillips, who owned the cake shop, to create a custom wedding cake to celebrate their same-sex marriage. Phillips refused, saying he didn't want to promote a same-sex wedding due to his religious beliefs. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for our religious liberties to be protected by the Supreme Court. Help Mr. Phillips and his attorneys successfully present their case.

- "And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!" (Psalm 90:17)

8. Secretive group of global power brokers the Bilderberg Group set to gather in Virginia - Daily Mail

A secretive group of global power brokers including elder statesman Henry Kissinger and NATO secretary Jens Stoltenberg will gather to debate Donald Trump's presidency.

The Bilderberg Group meeting in Chantilly, Virginia, will attract 131 elites on Thursday - from politicians and bankers to business titans and European royalty. They will discuss transatlantic relations, the future of the European Union and 'a progress report' on the Trump administration behind closed doors at the four-day meeting.

The meeting is expected to address Russia, China, nuclear proliferation, globalization, and 'the war on information.' (Read more)

- Father, this meeting may be closed to us, but not to You. We pray these people of power and influence would experience the need for You - we pray each would experience salvation and that their influence would be submitted to You.

- "He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me." (Psalm 144:2)

9. MRC Launches New Campaign, Puts Media's Advertisers On Notice - NewsBusters

Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell today announced a new campaign that will focus on informing the American public and corporate advertisers about leftist shows and on-air personalities who use their programs to spread vicious lies and hate.

"We are putting the radical left on notice that we are on to them. We know the inside-outside game that radical organizations are playing with their leftist allies in the "news" media. The radical left's effort to silence conservative media by targeting their advertisers with coordinated smear campaigns has gone unanswered, but today is the day the conservative movement fights back, but with a big difference: We'll tell the truth. And we'll take no prisoners. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this article will be distributed far and wide and for people to engage, complaining to the advertisers about the slanderous conduct of these news outlets.

- "Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them." (Psalm 54:4-5)

10. Resorts World Manila attack: Injuries reported at hotel, casino complex in Philippines - Fox News

Dozens of people were injured after gunfire erupted at a mall, casino and hotel complex near Manila's international airport in the Philippine capital early Friday morning, but officials stressed there was no concrete evidence yet the attack was terrorism.

Philippine police chief Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa said at a press briefing one gunman is believed to be behind the attack at Resorts World Manila, and is still at large.

Dela Rosa told reporters at the scene that the gunman stole gambling chips, shot an LED monitor and set ablaze gambling tables by pouring gasoline on them, but the assailant did not fire at people he met.

At least 25 people were injured, the Philippine Red Cross told The Manila Times. Fernando Atienza, team leader of the emergency response unit of the PRC, told the Manila Times some of the victims suffered serious injuries because they jumped from the second floor of the hotel. (Read more)

- Father, only You know all the details of this attack in the Philippines as we monitor this news in prayer, but we do lift up all who were injured to be healed, and the perpetrator to be found quickly. Abba Father God, we pray tonight for the safety of the people of Manila, in Your name, amen.

- "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

Presidential beheading exposes depth of darkness

The backlash over extreme leftist comedian Kathy Griffin beheading a likeness of President Donald Trump has been harsh from most all quarters-as it should be. But what can be said of an entire group of people who were one-upping each other to reach that point where they crossed the line-star-studded foul mouthed vulgarity from the celebrities that are in America's living rooms each night, or grown adults running around Washington, DC with the likenesses of vaginas on their heads, or news reporters falsely reporting on White House events when they are adamantly and admittedly leaders of the "resistance"? These are all over the top, and should be recognized and called out as such.

Yes the fallout is in. Even radical leftist Democratic Party leaders have denounced Griffin's distasteful act. Although, given their behavior since losing the election, one knows that it is not sincere-not when they are planning a "Resistance Summer" akin to Arab Spring, seeking to undermine and overthrow the duly elected President. As for Griffin, she has bought herself a lot of trouble. CNN reluctantly said Griffin would no longer be part of their New Years Eve celebration. But CNN didn't come out and blast her for what she did. CNN public relations tweeted, "CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Years Eve program." That's certainly denouncing Griffin's actions.

The Secret Service has indicated Griffin will be investigated. Add that, I guess, to every other investigation that's going on and it seems like we are going to have a bunch of time on investigations. A lot of tax payer money being spent on investigations that common sense people could determine the outcome without the investigation-there is no way the Russians tampered with the American vote; Hillary Clinton has had more multimillion dollar deals with the Russians than Trump ever had (can anyone say Uranium sales to Russia for Clinton Foundation donations?). An investigation into Griffin will show just what it would show for Al Gore, Clinton, Schumer, Durbin, Pelosi and more-narcissism and mental illness.

People are writing me asking what we can do. Honestly, we have to engage with our families, our communities, our workplace, and our friends. As guided by the Holy Spirit, we need to find the right words and the right attitudes to start conversations and make the argument about how insidiously dark and radically dangerous our society is becoming. The Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 4:17-18, "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" We are seeing the results of ineffective "church" in our own country. The problem is a sin problem resulting from not enough light shining into the darkness. We need to be that light.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Melania Trump -- and Kathy Griffin

The First Lady Said It Best about the Disgusting Kathy Griffin Photo: It "Makes You Wonder about the Mental Health of the Person Who Did It"

The "controversial" photographer for the shoot was Tyler Shields, who reportedly stated that "he and Miss Griffin were hoping to create a bold message."

Did they forget that it is a class E felony to knowingly and willfully make "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President"?

What other message were they hoping to send?!

Griffin herself-who KNEW she would receive backlash-later admitted she had gone "too far" that she "made a mistake" and "she was wrong."

But the damage was already done.

According to a TMZ report, 11-year-old Barron-son of President Trump and First Lady Melania-was watching TV on Tuesday, when the photo was shown. He immediately thought something terrible had happened to his dad.

TMZ reported: Trump family sources tell us Barron was in front of the TV watching a show when the news came on and he saw the bloody, beheaded image. We're told he panicked and screamed, "Mommy, Mommy!"

. . . Both President Trump and First Lady Melania were justifiably angry over the abhorrent stunt. Trump tweeted on Wednesday:

"Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11-year-old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!"

Then Melania Trump called out Griffin saying:

"As a mother, a wife and a human being, that photo is very disturbing. When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it." (Breaking Christian News) Read more

Witches Cursing President Trump

LA Times Publishes Editorial Encouraging Casting Spells on President Trump
A major newspaper has published an editorial penned by a novelist who says she cast a spell on President Trump last month, believes it is working, and is encouraging others to join her.

The Los Angeles Times featured an essay by novelist Diana Wagman Tuesday explaining that she started practicing witchcraft in order to resist the Trump administration and its policies. She first heard about the "Spell to Bind Donald Trump and Those Who Abet Him," an incantation that thousands of witches performed under the waning crescent moon last month through the email list of the Oracle of Los Angeles.

"I don't believe in the devil, but I do believe our country has gone to hell, and I am willing to try anything to save us," Wagman explained. . . .

"It's all about conviction, about concentrating and believing, with all your heart, that you can make a difference," Wagman said, then cited Matthew 21:22, which reads "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith" as additional supporting evidence for her participation in the mass spell.

A Christian Response

Wanda Alger, field correspondent for the Virginia-based Intercessors for America thinks the church is set for an Elijah versus the prophets of Baal showdown. She expects overt displays of witchcraft to increase in the coming days, but Christians should not be spooked. . . .

"However, instead of wringing our hands in fear and working up our own prayer frenzy, we should take the same posture that Elijah did. He was not worried, fearful, or anxious. He was so full of confidence in the power of His God he actually laughed at the antics of the demonically-driven. As he watched their rituals of self-sacrifice and hypnotic chanting, he waited for his opportunity." . . .

Alger has several challenges for Christians in light of the increasing visibility of the demonic in culture.

"Where will your faith rest? In the threats of a seeming army of demonically-inspired rebels? Or in the faith of an eternal God that can do the impossible through one faithful believer?" she asked. . . .

PRAYER:

- Thank you, Father, that we need not worry. We declare our faith in Your power to defeat the powers of darkness that are warring in our nation.

- "I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells." (Mic. 5:12)

Classic Hymns:

MASTER, THE TEMPEST IS RAGING

"He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Peace! Be still!' ! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm." (Mark 4:39)

Lyrics

Master, the tempest is raging! The billows are tossing high! The sky is o'ershadow with blackness, No shelter or help is nigh; Carest Thou not that we perish? How canst Thou lie asleep, When each moment so madly is threatening A grave in the angry deep?

Refrain

The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!

Master, with anguish of spirit I bow in my grief today; The depths of my sad heart are troubled Oh, waken and save, I pray! Torrents of sin and of anguish Sweep o'er my sinking soul; And I perish! I perish! dear Master Oh, hasten, and take control.

Refrain

Master, the terror is over, The elements sweetly rest; Earth's sun in the calm lake is mirrored, And heaven's within my breast; Linger, O blessèd Redeemer! Leave me alone no more; And with joy I shall make the blest harbor, And rest on the blissful shore.

Refrain

Moscow storm kills 16 and injures nearly 170

Moscow (CNN)A fierce storm whipped through Moscow on Monday, killing 16 people, toppling thousands of trees and damaging several buildings, officials said.

Eleven people were killed in Moscow and three others elsewhere in the region, said Svetlana Petrenko, spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee. It's not clear where the other two victims died.

State-run news agency Tass reported that 168 people were injured in the storm -- the deadliest in years -- and 146 were hospitalized, according to Alexei Khripun, who leads Moscow's department of health.

Of the 108 people who remain in the hospital, 22 are children. Tass said the injuries range from cuts and bruises to head and spine injuries.

"I can't remember within my recollection any other such calamity with the number of dead and injured as big as this one," Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told Tass, adding that the families of those killed will receive 1 million rubles ($17,760) each. (Read more)

Christians Have Waited 50 Years for This Momentous Event in Jerusalem

(Israel)-[Charisma News] A moment many American evangelical Christians have awaited for 50 years may soon happen.

According to a new report from The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Knesset and U.S. Congress will hold a joint video event next Tuesday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. The event, according to the report, could signal a "tacit" recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.

The report states:

Sources told The Jerusalem Post that either President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence will participate in the event on Capitol Hill, alongside Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, its host. In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein will take part from the Knesset. All members of Knesset and both houses of Congress have been invited to the event, which was organized by Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer.
