1. Israel reopens embassy in Egypt -Aljazeera
Israel has reopened its embassy in Egypt, four years after it was stormed by dozens of protesters in violence that led to the evacuation of the Israeli ambassador.
The Israeli foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that its director-general, Dore Gold, had travelled to Cairo to "rededicate" the embassy.
"The Israeli embassy in Egypt is back in operation today," the ministry statement said.
"Today, exactly four years ago, the Israeli diplomats were forced to leave the Israeli embassy."

2. Israel Bans 2 Muslim Groups That Protest at Jerusalem Holy Site - NY Times
RAMALLAH, West Bank - Israel on Monday officially outlawed an organization of Muslim women who chase and shout at Jewish visitors to a contested holy site in Jerusalem's Old City, along with a less-vocal affiliated group of men.
Israel's defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, signed a regulation that accused the two groups of incitement and classified them as illegal, a move that allows for the prosecution of anyone who participates in their activities or finances them, according to a statement from the minister's office.

3. Beverly Hills to sign strategic agreement with Israel
At a time when the word agreement is mentioned in the United States primarily in the Iranian context, it was the Beverly Hills municipality that has unanimously passed a resolution to sign a strategic agreement with the Israel a few days ago.
The vote on the resolution to sign the agreement, that will formalize cooperation in the fields of water conservation and cybersecurity, was accompanied by voters' cheers.

4. Israeli man goes missing in Yemen, family fears Islamic State abduction - JNS
(JNS.org) A 64-year-old Israeli man who left Israel to visit Yemen three months ago is missing amid concerns he may have been captured by the Islamic State terror group.
The man-a Yemenite Jew living in Ashkelon whose name has not been revealed-made aliyah 20 years ago after he had been imprisoned back in Yemen for hanging an Israeli flag outside his home. Since then, he has visited Yemen four times using a foreign passport. His family in Israel is concerned that he was captured by Islamic State while on his latest trip.

5. Arabs Attack Two Buses En Route to Jerusalem - Israel National News
Two buses traveling from Ma'ale Adumim to Jerusalem on Route 417 were attacked by Arab terrorists on Tuesday night.
None of the occupants were injured, though two window panes were damaged. Police estimated the shattered windows had been caused by either rocks or marbles.

6. Ex-Shin Bet head calls on PM to end spat with Obama over Iran deal -Times of Israel
A former head of Israel's Shin Bet security service called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop battling US President Barack Obama on the nuclear deal reached between Iran and world powers, and instead work more closely with the US administration to enhance Israel's security.
In a New York Times op-ed, Ami Ayalon said Netanyahu should recognize the accord signed in July as a "done deal," and slammed the PM's "spiteful" battle with the US president over the accord as counter productive in a "post-deal world."

7. Netanyahu: 'Tyrant' Khamenei is wrong, Israel is here to stay - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday dismissed comments by the Iranian supreme leader that Israel will have ceased to exist in 25 years, vowing the Jewish state is here to stay. The prime minister said remarks by the "tyrant" supreme leader left no "room for illusion" for supporters of the nuclear deal.
"Khamenei is not giving supporters of the agreement any room for illusion. He has made it clear that the US is the Great Satan and that Iran intends to destroy the State of Israel," Netanyahu said after landing in London for talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron. "This will not happen. Israel is a strong country and it will become even stronger."

1. Dozens of intelligence analysts reportedly claim assessments of ISIS were altered - Fox News
Dozens of intelligence analysts working at the U.S. military's Central Command (CENTCOM) have complained that their reports on ISIS and the Nusra Front in Syria were inappropriately altered by senior officials, according to a published report.
The Daily Beast reported late Wednesday that more than 50 analysts had supported a complaint to the Pentagon that the reports had been changed to make the terror groups seem weaker than the analysts believe they really are. Fox News confirmed last month that the Defense Department's inspector general was investigating the initial complaint, which the New York Times reported was made by a civilian employee of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Federal investigators formally investigated top Hillary Rodham Clinton aide Huma Abedin for the crime of embezzlement after confirming she took a "Babymoon" vacation and maternity time at the State Department without expending her formal leave, resulting in thousands of dollars of pay she wasn't entitled to receive, The Washington Times has learned. 3. GM embryos 'essential', says report - BBC
It is "essential" that the genetic modification of human embryos is allowed, says a group of scientists, ethicists and policy experts. A Hinxton Group report says editing the genetic code of early stage embryos is of "tremendous value" to research.
It adds although GM babies should not be allowed to be born at the moment, it may be "morally acceptable" under some circumstances in the future. The US refuses to fund research involving the gene editing of embryos. (Read more)

4. U of Illinois Bans 9/11 Flag Memorial, Finally Caves Under Pressure- Truth Revolt
The University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign this week denied the Illini College Republicans permission to place 2,977 small American flags on the campus quad in memory of each person who died that terrible day.
The memorial, also placed in 2012 on the date, consists of small flags displayed around the quad, and was very well received by students. This year, though, the University denied the request for the memorial, citing "irrigation" concerns. (Read more)

5. Al Qaeda Mag Urges Attack on Koch Brothers, Buffett, Bloomberg- NBC News
A notorious al Qaeda magazine is encouraging lone-wolf terrorist attacks on U.S. economic leaders, including Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg and Warren Buffett.
The list in Inspire magazine also included industrialist brothers Charles and David Koch, internet entrepreneur Larry Ellison, and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. A prominent economist was also on the list but asked that his name be withheld. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke was named, though not Janet Yellen, who succeeded him. (Read more)

6. URGENT! California lawmakers approve right-to-die bill- RT
A bill allowing terminally ill people to legally end their lives has been passed by the California State Assembly. The measure now goes to the State Senate, which is expected to give the act its endorsement. However, California Governor Jerry Brown, a lifelong Catholic, has not said whether he will sign it into law. Approved on a 42-33 vote, The End of Life Option Act would allow doctors to prescribe life-ending medication, according to the Associated Press. Specifically, patients would be required to make two oral requests spaced 15 days apart, and submit one written request. All three requests would have to be personally received by an attending physician. (Read more)

U.S. officials are expressing growing concern about Russia's military build-up in Assad-controlled Syria, calling it "unprecedented" -- with one telling Fox News it compares in scope to Vladimir Putin's incursion into Crimea. (Read more)

8. Breaking: Iranian troops join Russians in Syria fighting - Ynet News
Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iran's elite Quds Force, has sent hundreds of ground soldiers into Syria in the past few days apparently in cooperation with Russia's President Vladimir Putin, said a senior Israeli security official Thursday.
Russia has also recently deployed military assets in Syria and according to the Israeli source, has teamed up with Iran in an unprecedented attempt to protect the embattled regime of Bashar Assad from falling to rebel groups including the Islamic State.
The Israeli source said that Iran's increased military involvement in Syria was "due to Assad's crisis and under Russian-Iranian cooperation as a result of a meeting between Soleimani with Russian President Vladimir Putin," said the Israeli source. (Read more)

9. UN General Assembly expected to pass Palestinian flag resolution - DW.com
The resolution presented by the Palestinians, which is to be voted on later on Thursday would give them and other nations with non-member observer status at the United Nations the right to fly their flag in New York.
The Palestinians' representative to the UN, Riyad Mansour was quoted by the AFP news agency as saying that getting the resolution passed would be of significant symbolic value.
"It is a symbolic thing, but another step to solidify the pillars of the state of Palestine in the international arena," Riyad Mansour said. (Read more)

10. Geert Wilders tells Dutch parliament refugee crisis is 'Islamic invasion' - Jerusalem Post
European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker on Wednesday appealed to EU members to share out refugees arriving on the bloc's fringes. Several EU countries oppose the idea of mandatory quotas, as supported by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the conservative Dutch government says it is only willing to take in more if all EU states agree.
At the start of the debate, Wilders called the wave of refugees passing through Hungary and other countries "an Islamic invasion of Europe, of the Netherlands."
"Masses of young men in their twenties with beards singing Allahu Akbar across Europe. It's an invasion that threatens our prosperity, our security, our culture and identity," he said. (Read more)

Iran's Khamenei vows Israel's demise
There should be no doubt that the United States is making the wrong move, and a possibly destructive one, by agreeing with Iran on a nuclear deal, and paying the terrorist-sponsoring state hundreds of billions of dollars. All the signs are there--in the past decade, Iran has developed its nuclear program by agreeing to inspections and then refusing them; agreeing to limitations, then violating them, finally resulting in sanctions. But there is no cat and mouse on this day when the US Congress is discussing whether to allow the "president" to go forward with his deal that will assuredly allow Iran a nuclear weapon and pay them with US tax dollars to put the finishing touches on it. Iran's leadership is clear on this.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took to the social media airwaves Wednesday to clearly and definitively spell out his intentions with the nuclear agreement. The Times of Israel reports that Khamenei posted on Twitter, "After negotiations, in Zionist regime they said they had no more concern about Iran for next 25 years; I'd say: Firstly, you will not see next 25 years; God willing, there will be nothing as Zionist regime by next 25 years. Secondly, until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists." According to the Times, the quote was taken from a speech given earlier in the day. It was accompanied by a picture of Khamenei walking on the flag of Israel.
Khamenei also had some things to say about the United States--"@IRKhomeini stated "US is the Great Satan," some insist on depicting this Great Satan as an angel." Khamenei stated on his website, "We approved talks with the United States about [the] nuclear issue specifically. We have not allowed talks with the US in other fields and we [do] not negotiate with them." He said that any additional talks would be "a tool for penetration and imposing their demands." These inflammatory remarks are consistent with what has been published in Iran's official media since the very beginning of the talks with Secretary of State John Kerry. Iran has been up front and aggressively telegraphing its intentions.
The "president" has reportedly secured enough Democratic votes to filibuster a recorded vote in the Senate on the agreement. They want a voice vote so Americans, who overwhelmingly oppose this deal, will not know who voted for it. The prophetic implications for the US are severe as in Genesis 12:3 God says of Israel, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee." In Zechariah 12:3 God says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone...all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces..." God is consistent with the beginning and end regarding Israel. Congressional Democrats are being implicit in supporting evil and know they are doing it because they seek to block a recorded vote. Cowards hiding behind procedures. But the Lord knows their hearts.

Israelis suffer through worst dust storm in 10 years;
minimum temperatures in most areas of the country were the highest
ever measured for September
Poor visibility, heavy heat and extreme mugginess are forecast throughout the country into Thursday and beyond. The dusty weather is the heaviest and most polluting to hit the country in 15 years, according to the Environmental Protection Ministry.
Peak electricity demand hit an all-time high on Wednesday, climbing to 12,905 megawatts at 2:45 p.m., with the Israel Electric Corporation providing 10,065 megawatts and private power producers supplying the remainder. Previously, the record was broken during the second heat wave of the summer, with consumption reaching 12,800 megawatts on August 3.
Overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, minimum temperatures in most areas of the country were the highest ever measured for September, and those in the Dead Sea and Arava Desert were the highest minimum temperatures ever recorded for any day of the year, according to IMS data. In Sodom, the minimum nighttime temperature was a suffocating 36.5°C. (Jerusalem Post)

Cruz: If Iran Deal Passes, Obama Administration Will Become 'World's Leading Financier of Radical Islamic Terrorism'
At a rally in front of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday to protest President Barack Obama's nuclear deal with Iran, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said the Obama administration would become the "world's leading financier of radical Islamic terrorism," if Congress approves the Iran deal brokered by the president and Secretary of State John Kerry.
"This Iranian nuclear deal is catastrophic," said Cruz at the rally, sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. "It is the single greatest national security threat facing America."
"If it goes through, there will be three consequences," said Cruz. "Number one, the Obama administration will become quite literally the world's leading financier of radical Islamic terrorism."
"If it goes through, over $100 billion will flow directly to Iran, to the Ayatollah Khamenei, and billions of those dollars will go directly to Hamas, to Hezbollah, to the Hutis, to radical Islamic terrorists across the world," said Cruz, "and those jihadists will use those billions to murder Americans, to murder Israelis, to murder Europeans."
Cruz went on to say that he agrees with former Senator Joe Lieberman, an Independent who caucused with the Democrats, on the importance of Congress' vote on the deal. (CNSNews.com)

House GOP shakes up Iran strategy
House Republicans are changing course on a vote to oppose the Iranian nuclear deal after facing intense criticism from some of the conference’s conservative members.
Instead of a single vote to disapprove of the deal, the House will now hold three separate votes on the agreement.
One would be a resolution to approve of the deal — which is sure to fail and, in the process, force many Democrats to break from the White House.
The second would be to express a sense of the House that the Obama administration has not met the requirements of legislation guaranteeing congressional oversight of the deal by failing to give lawmakers text of the “secret side deals.” The bilateral deals between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency are at the center of the House’s uprising over the Iran pact, and concern the details of inspections at some Iranian sites.
Finally, the House would vote to prevent the U.S. from lifting sanctions on Iran as part of complying with the nuclear deal. (The Hill)

Washington Monument captures bright meteor in the sky
WASHINGTON - A bright meteor was seen shooting through the sky Tuesday night and a camera located on the Washington Monument captured its movement.
The meteor moved from west to east over West Virginia Tuesday at 9:27 p.m., reports NASA's Meteor Watch. It was seen across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, the D.C. monument spotted it, too.
In a city filled with bright lights, the monument camera captures the meteor in the top right portion of the screen. NASA notes that the bright object moving toward the left side of the screen is an airplane.

Japan floods: City of Joso hit by 'unprecedented' rain
Widespread flooding and landslides in north-east Japan have forced more than 90,000 people to abandon their homes. The city of Joso, north of the capital, Tokyo, was hit by a wall of water after the Kinugawa River burst its banks. Helicopter rescue teams have been plucking people from rooftops.
At least eight people are still missing and 100 need rescuing. The rains come a day after a tropical storm brought winds of up to 125km/h (78mph) to central Aichi prefecture.
The chief forecaster at the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), Takuya Deshimaru, said that the rainfall was "unprecedented" for that part of Japan. "We can say this is an abnormal situation and there is imminent serious danger," he went on. (BBC) Read more.
