"He shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!' " (Zechariah 4:7)

The Daily Brief

1. Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Leader in Tehran Calls for Israel to Be "Wiped Off the Map" - New York Post

This week, Kamal al-Halbawi became the first Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leader to visit Tehran. There he announced that he wanted for Egypt what Iran has today: "a true Islamic state."

"Egypt and the world of Islam as a whole need leaders like President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad," he said. Egypt should join "a new world order with Iran and Venezuela plus Hizbullah and Hamas to chase away the Americans." "Every night when I go to bed, I pray to wake up the next day to see Israel is wiped off the map."

• Heavenly Father, we pray that foreign leaders like these who spew forth hate will be removed immediately by your hand so they never rise up against Israel. Lord, we also pray for salvation to the people that live in these nations. Deliver them from darkness and hatred. Let them hunger for the Lord.

The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ' Destroy!' (Deuteronomy 33:27)

2. Barak: Netanyahu Mulls Temporary Palestinian State - AP

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayhu is likely to offer the Palestinians a provisional state within temporary borders, the country's defense minister said in an interview published Tuesday, spelling out for the first time the "phased approach" that other officials have said the Israeli leader was considering.

While characterizing the popular upheavals in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and the Gulf as "a historic earthquake" and "quite inspired," Barak said Israel was worried that its top foes, Iran and Syria, "might be the last to feel the heat" of the revolts and that Egypt's new leaders might, under public pressure, back away from its 1979 peace treaty with Israel. "The issue of qualitative military aid for Israel becomes more essential for us, and I believe also more essential for you," the newspaper quoted Barak as saying. "A strong, responsible Israel can become a stabilizer in such a turbulent region."

• Lord, we pray there will be nothing agreed upon that would bind Israel. Give her protection from her enemies. Give wisdom, favor, and strong protection to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Let her enemies be scattered.

For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. (Psalms 92:9, 10)

3. Discord Grows in Washington Over a Potential Role in Libya - New York Times

Nearly three weeks after Libya erupted in what may now turn into a protracted civil war, the politics of military intervention grow more complicated by the day - for both the White House and Republicans. The biggest voice of caution has been the most prominent Republican in Mr. Obama's cabinet, Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates. Mr. Gates forcefully warned Congress during budget testimony that the first act in imposing a no-fly zone would be an attack on Colonel Qaddafi's air defenses, and that the step should only be taken if the United States was ready for a prolonged military operation that could cover all of Libya. He cautioned it might drain resources that are already overstretched in Afghanistan and Iraq, because Libya is such a large territory.

• Lord, we pray for restraint in getting involved militarily in Libya. We pray for Libya and the Middle East to calm down and have peace. We pray that Muslim radicals stirring up strife in that area will be silenced and no one will follow their directions.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it. (Luke 14:28)

4. Wisconsin Dems File Ethics Complaint Against Governor - AP

The Wisconsin Democratic Party has filed an ethics complaint against Republican Gov. Scott Walker over statements he made during a recorded prank call. In their complaint filed Monday with the Government Accountability Board, the Democrats claim Walker violated campaign finance laws by apparently asking for support for politically vulnerable Wisconsin Republican lawmakers from a caller who he thought was a wealthy campaign donor.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne said last week that he found nothing about Walker's statements to merit a criminal investigation. He says he hasn't examined allegations of campaign finance violations.

• Lord, we know this action in filing false accusations against Gov. Walker is a tactic to bankrupt and intimidate him. Let these tactics backfire, and let people turn away from listening to those who practice such methods.

"An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and my people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?" (Jeremiah 5:30, 31)

5. Reversal of Fortune in Wisconsin - NBC News

A poll out today by the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute shows President Obama's and Republican Gov. Scott Walker's approval ratings heading in opposite directions. Obama's approval rating sits at a comfortable 53%-42%, above the national average, and a nine-point improvement in the poll from November. His negative rating is up 18 points from November, when his rating was 45%/35%. His "strongly unfavorable" is up to 41% from a "very unfavorable" rating of just 19% in November.

The fight over unions' collective-bargaining rights has become national news, and has drawn protesters in the tens of thousands. Views of public employee unions are very favorable - 59% have a favorable opinion of them, just 34% view them negatively. Wisconsin and the Midwest will be key once again to whether President Obama wins or loses a second term. Wisconsin has been something of a swing state.

• Lord, we pray the conservatives including Governor Walker will make a great argument of why these cuts are necessary. Let people turn away from their faulty impression of unions and their actual work. Turn the hearts of the people favorably to the conservative leaders. Let them win more elections.

And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. (Exodus 12:36)

6. Utah Approves Guest Worker Program for Illegal Immigrants - ABC News

Immigrants, Businesses Hail Bipartisan "Utah Solution," But Is It Constitutional? Utah could become the first state in the nation with its own guest worker program that would grant permits to undocumented immigrants and allow them to continue living and working in the state legally. Critics see Utah Bill as Amnesty. Rep. Chris Herrod, R-Provo said that the guest worker program is unfair to hundreds of thousands of immigrants waiting in line for visas outside the country, and that the federal government already has its own guest worker programs for agricultural and lower-skilled workers.

The measure passed the Republican-controlled state legislature late Friday as part of a bipartisan deal that also includes an enforcement law, requiring police to check the immigration status of suspects in felony or serious misdemeanor cases. Still, passage of the legislation -- in a red state, in a part of the country most affected by illegal immigration -- is significant.

• Lord, we pray these measures that would circumvent our Constitution will not succeed. Let there be a loud outcry from citizens to rescind this new bill and let only true Constitutional laws be passed in our nation. We know possible terrorists may be coming across our borders, so let our congressmen make the laws tougher not easier.

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety. He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, But one who hates being surety is secure. (Proverbs 11:14, 15)

7. Tipping Point for Oil Seen at $150 per Barrel - The Washington Times

A top Federal Reserve official on Monday said the central bank should react if oil prices soar as high as $150 a barrel because prices that high could throw the economy back into recession. White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley said Sunday that the recovery is strong but the surging price of oil "can have a serious impact on it" and cause pain for consumers. The strategic reserve has been tapped only during emergencies, such as the Persian Gulf War, while critics say further easing by the Fed would only stoke oil-fed inflation while doing little to help the economy.

Richard W. Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, on Monday said he worries that the Fed's loose money policies will set inflation loose and prove counterproductive.

• Lord, we pray this rising cost of oil will stop, and our food prices and other expenses will not continue to climb - but go down. We pray that our nation's resources will be available to us so that we can be independent of others who hold our nation back.

By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas. (Psalms 65:5)

8. Feds: No New Drilling Permits, but We'll Tap into Strategic Petroleum Reserve! - Washington Examiner

The Obama administration has issued contradictory statements on the high oil prices. On Friday the Obama administration appealed a judge's ruling that the Department of Interior stop holding up the application process of several deepwater drilling permits. The move effectively continues the de facto ban on deepwater drilling in the Gulf. On Sunday however, White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley said the Obama administration is considering tapping into the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve as one way to help ease soaring oil prices.

The SPR is far less useful to the economy than newly producing oil wells. It holds only 726.7 million barrels - that's enough to keep running America for 34 days in the event of a catastrophic oil cutoff, but the distribution capacity is limited, allowing for only 4.4 million barrels of oil to be withdrawn each day. The administration's foot-dragging is cutting off access to several large proven reserves, as the Gulf Region accounts for one-third of U.S. crude oil production, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

• Lord we pray that our government will release oil companies to drill off our shores and our land, so that we can be independant of foreign oil. Place people into authority that can get this done quickly and without complications.

And the Lord said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. (Exodus 3:7)

9. Woman Dies after Visiting Gulf Beach - The Examiner

Lisa Nelson died today after a six-month horrendous struggle. Ms. Nelson had visited the beach in September. Since then, she has been a well-loved and admired Gulf Coast resident among those involved in the silent, well-hidden and deadly struggle. One visit to the Gulf beach or one swim in the contaminated Gulf water can cause or accelerate underlying health problems that can and is leading to death.

A filmmaker active in the Gulf struggle, Jerry Cope has called on the public to contact Google to complain about the outrage of it placing a BP advertisement on the Youtube video he has created in memory of Ms. Nelson. According to Mr. Cope, Ms. Nelson was not doing well after several trips to California for treatment. He had explained that she had inoperable cancer that doctors believe was triggered by her exposure to the oil and dispersant.

- Lord, we thank you that you are exposing lies and hidden dangers in our nation. We pray for this woman's family and all families who have been impacted by this disaster. Lord, we pray that more truth will come out about the deadly toxins in the Gulf and that you give us natural solutions to rid the Gulf of everything that would kill life. Let our government not lie to us about what we need to know.

- Then he (Elisha) went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, "Thus says the Lord: 'I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.' So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke. (2 Kings 2:21-22)

Islam: The white elephant in the national security debate

The Republican controlled House of Representatives and the Democratic White House are locking horns over the so-called radicalization of Muslims in the United States. Both are trying to delicately walk the thin line between religion and national security, but both are falling on opposite sides. The White House and Democrats in Congress want to ensure that a minority religion is not singled out and blamed for the hatred many Muslims express for Jews and Christians and the terrorist acts that are perpetrated almost exclusively by Muslims. Congressional Republicans on the Homeland Security Committee are about to hold hearings on how Muslims are turning into home-grown terrorists at an alarming rate.

It is no surprise that Minnesota Democrat Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, is coming to the rescue of his kind. He told CNN that everyone is concerned about the breadth of Islamic extremism in the United States. Of course, there is always the three letter word "But" following. Ellison said, "To say we're going to investigate...a religious minority, and a particular one, I think is the wrong course of action to take." The White House sent deputy national security advisor Denis McDonough to a mosque-sponsored interfaith forum and took the Rodney King approach--why can't we all just get along. McDonough said "We are all Americans" and stressed the need for tolerance. This ignores the obvious.

It is good that the politicians are having a national debate on this issue. It is bad that they all want to whitewash the problem. Peaceful Muslims have to recognize that their "religion" is responsible for most of the man-incurred death and destruction of human beings worldwide. When there is child sex trafficking, slavery, drug dealing, human rights violations, and war, Islam is usually at the root of it these days. Wherever Jews are persecuted and killed or held up for hate and ridicule, Islam is usually the offending party. And any reasonable person would find it difficult to recount when a Muslim was not behind a terrorist attack in recent history. Nobody wants to say that America is at war with Islam.

Islam, however, is the first to say it is at war with the "Great Satan" America. And if it was not about "religion" all the clerics and muftas and ayatollahs would be demanding an end to the violence. They don't. The white elephant in these hearings is the very fact that Islam is using religion to perpetrate terrorism. The case should be made that Islam is a political system rather than a legitimate religion. Islam should be considered a national security risk so long as its Koran commands Muslims to kill Jews and Christians--isn't that singling out particular religions, Mr. Ellison? Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Mohammed certainly is one of those false prophets and deceivers.

The Daily Jot - Part Two

Rebellion and the prophetic aftermath of American foreign policy

As Americans begin to deal with the gas price increase of some 50 cents in the past four months, 16 cents a gallon in the last week, the unrest in the Middle East begins to take a more concrete position in the hearts and minds--and pocketbooks--of the citizens. This is going to sink in real fast about what the Lord says of Israel in Genesis 12:3, "I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curses thee." The faster the enemies of Israel are established and reestablished the more we will see this very verse in the near beginning of the Bible play out before our eyes. Why? There is increasingly more evidence that the White House is behind much of the unrest.

News outlets such as the UK Telegraph, the Examiner, the Jerusalem Post and more are painting a picture of a delusional American president working with international socialist organizations, the Muslim Brotherhood and other dissident groups throughout the Middle East to foment revolution in the name of democracy. The man who occupies the Oval Office told a group of Jewish campaign donors in Miami that Israel and the US should not be afraid of the changes taking place in the Middle East. He said, "I'm actually confident that 10 years from now we're going to be able to look back potentially and say this was the dawning of an entirely new and better era."

The new and better era, however, is truly one of perspective. If you are Islamic, the possibilitiy of a totally "Islamified" Middle East is greater today than in any other since the establishment of Israel in 1948. A Wikileaks released secret document reveals that the most powerful nation in the world, the United States, has been working to undermine governments throughout the Middle East. The public position, of course, is to establish democracy. In reality, however, the United States has done the heavy lifting of aiding and abetting revolution in the Middle East. As Redstate.com reports, "Now the Muslim Brotherhood, with the help of Iran and some al Qaeda support, will start the real revolution."

As America braces itself for $4 dollar gasoline and all the inflationary aftermath, those who can discern the scriptures will see the direct cause and effect of being rebellious to God's word. God will not be mocked. In Isaiah 66:1 the Lord says, "The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool." In verse 4, the Lord says, "I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear; but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not." This is a strong word today. And many will take offense. Understand, God judges nations and the truth of the prophecies are not denied. Gird yourself and pray for mercy.

BREAKING NEWS

The Moslem Brotherhood cult in America:

Deputy National Security Advisor McDonough Meets with Hamas Support Entity

It is being reported that on Sunday, March 6th, Denis McDonough, the Deputy National Security Advisor to the (so called) President of the United States attended the ADAMS Interfaith/Government Summit in Sterling, Virginia.

The implications of this are frightening and shocking - and may be criminal.

The remarks made by Deputy National Security Advisor McDonough on 3/6/11 at the ADAMS Center are on the White House website for all to read. His comments began with: "Thank you (Imam Majid), also, for being one of our nation's leading voices for the values that make America so strong, especially religious freedom and tolerance. Whether it's here at the ADAMS Center, or as President of the Islamic Society of North America, you've spoken with passion and eloquence, not only about your own Islamic faith, but for the need to build bridges of understanding and trust between faiths."

So, Mr. McDonough knows Mohammad Majid is the leader of ISNA.

ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) is led by its Executive Director, Mohammad Majid. Majid is also the President of the largest Moslem Brotherhood / Hamas support entity in North America - the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

A significant amount of evidence has been entered into federal terrorism trials revealing ISNA is not only the largest Moslem Brotherhood entity in North America, but is a cover and support organization for Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement). Hamas is designated as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" (FTO) by the United States Government.

His remarks further included: "Over the past two years, I-along with my White House colleagues-have benefited from the advice of many of your organizations through our Office of Public Engagement. Because, after all, your communities have the same concerns as all Americans-the economy, education, health care, the safety of our children and our country."

Actually Mr. McDonough, the Moslem Brotherhood is only concerned with its objectives, which are the same as Al Qaeda's - the re-establishment of the global Islamic State (Caliphate), under which Shariah (Islamic Law) is enforced. The HLF related rulings and all the evidence are available to the public via the Northern District of Texas' own website, so the information is readily accessible.
Again, we must ask the same tired question - why are those charged with our national security, violating their Constitutional oaths to do so and taking actions which appear to support our enemies? Read more.

A related article is now posted on WorldNetDaily and can be found here.

- Lord we are dismayed by the news that the administration has been making overtures to known terrorist groups. We ask for Your interference against any plans by these groups to manipulate our government. We ask that the truth be made widely known to all citizens. We pray that You will cause our people to rise up and stop this administration from consorting with the enemies of America.

- "O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God tries the hearts and reins. My defense is of God, who saves the upright in heart." (Psalm 7:9)

MORE BREAKING NEWS

Congressman receives threats on eve of hearings on Muslims in America

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) is receiving a barrage of threatening phone calls, some from overseas, which has led to increased police protection ahead of Thursday's hearing on the possible radicalization of cultic American Moslems.

King told The Hill that he's not concerned about his safety and that the hearing, which will examine whether the Moslem community in the U.S. is being targeted by terrorist groups to carry out attacks, will proceed as scheduled.

"There were some threats from overseas and a number of other remarks," said King, the chairman of House Homeland Security Committee. "Whatever threat analysis police have done, they believe I warrant security. I don't ask for it and I certainly don't turn away any security that police think I should have. I leave it up to them."

The worry in the intelligence community is that the hearing - which is aimed at investigating recruitment tactics - has reached such a contentious level that ideological extremists could use it as evidence the U.S. is discriminating against Moslems.

"If the Islamic community feels that they're being targeted, it could fuel the fire of people who are recruiting [and] saying, 'This is discrimination, this is why we want you to join our side, this is why we want you to attack,' " said Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (Md.), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. "And unfortunately, they could use the religion to get to the endgame of an attack."

King acknowledged the precariousness of the situation, saying he nonetheless would rather hold the hearing than bow to the concern that it could be used as ammunition against the U.S.

"This becomes a vicious cycle," he said. "There's a cause of this radicalization in the cultic Moslem American community that is a real threat to the United States. The only way we can counter it is by letting the public know about it and by encouraging the Moslem American community to speak out against it. (The Hill) Read more.

- Please lift up Rep. Peter King and all witnesses in this hearing, asking our Lord to loose His "security personnel" -- His heavenly host, over each one. To see a list of the witnesses who are scheduled to appear at Thursday's hearing, go here.

- "No enemy can destroy His plans and purposes, and nothing can be added or taken away from His destiny for us all." (Eccl 3:14)

Obama's Record Deficit

According to new figures released by the Congressional Budget Office, the Obama Administration ran a record deficit last month of $223 billion. Let me repeat that: The Obama Administration ran a deficit LAST MONTH of $223 billion.

For Democrats who like to blame George W. Bush for Obama's mess, here is some perspective: Obama's monthly deficit of $223 billion is more than the Bush Administration's deficit for all of 2007!

News of this record monthly deficit barely made the evening news last night because the left-wing media is too busy portraying congressional Republicans as extremists for proposing $61 billion in budget cuts. Yet that amount is barely more than one-quarter of last month's deficit! Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are barely trying to cut spending. Their proposal amounts to less than $5 billion in cuts. News from Libya

Rebels Reject Gadhafi's Offer for Deal to Step Down

According to the report, Gadhafi wanted safety guarantees for him and his family and a pledge that they not be tried; the offer was reportedly rejected because it would grant an 'honorable' exit for Gadhafi and would offend his victims.

Two Arab newspapers and Al Jazeera television said on Monday Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi was looking for an agreement allowing him to step down, but there was no official confirmation of the reports.

Al Jazeera said Gadhafi had proposed to Libyan rebels to hold a meeting of parliament to pave the way for him to step down with certain guarantees.

According to the report, Gadhafi made the proposal to the interim council, which speaks for mostly eastern areas controlled by his opponents. It quoted sources in the council as saying Gadhafi wanted guarantees of personal safety for him and his family and a pledge that they not be put on trial.

Al Jazeera said sources from the council told its correspondent in Benghazi that the offer was rejected because it would have amounted to an "honorable" exit for Gadhafi and would offend his victims. (Reuters)

Gospel Reaches the 'End of the World'

YAMAL PENINSULA, Russia - Imagine living in a place where temperatures often plummet to minus 60 degrees and winter seems to last all year. In the northernmost parts of Siberia, Peter Khudi is braving the frigid temperatures to share the gospel with remote tribes. The Yamal Peninsula sits in the deep frozen Siberian Tundra above the Arctic Circle. Yamal means the end of the world, and in many ways it is. "There are no roads here," one resident said. "People use frozen lakes and rivers to get around on reindeer or snowmobile."

The temperature fluctuates between minus 30 and minus 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Khudi led CBN News through the frozen land on a visit to meet a nomadic family. Reindeer skin is used to cover the primary mode of transportation -- a sleigh attached to a snowmobile. The sun shines only a few hours during the winter. When it does appear, normally around noon, the sunrise is something to behold. "This is a special place," Khudi said.

Khudi belongs to the largest nomadic tribe called the Nenets. For the last few years, he's shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with his tribe and others who live here in the tundra. "When I became a Christian, God gave me a new heart. He also gave me a new heart for my people," Khudi said. "I go out on my snowmobile meeting these nomadic families and telling them about the love of Christ." The Nenets are nomadic reindeer herders -- the word nenet means "child of a deer." "Our food, clothes, shoes, homes, our transportation, everything comes from them," one resident explained. "Without deer we cannot not survive."

And learning how to survive in the tundra begins at an early age. "All my children were taught from a young age how to live in the harsh conditions," said Nenets tribe member Ustinia Laptander. "It is our way of life, but if you are not careful you can die out here." The women take care of cooking, sewing clothes, and putting up the teepees. The men are hunters and care for the reindeer. When it comes to skinning the reindeer, the entire family is involved. The hide is used to make the teepees and clothes. Blood and raw reindeer meat are often consumed to get vitamins.

Khudi is among a handful of evangelists reaching the Nenets people. He's been visiting Ustinia's family for a few weeks. "He comes here to tell us about God. We have good conversations," she said. Khudi is supported by a local Siberian church and Russian Ministries, an organization focused on spreading the Gospel in the former Soviet Union. He said his mission starts with friendship evangelism. "I've brought presents for all the children today. Each box is filled with toys, school supplies, and a children's Bible. We have to build relationships first," he explained.

He said his mission starts with friendship evangelism. "I've brought presents for all the children today. Each box is filled with toys, school supplies, and a children's Bible. We have to build relationships first," he explained. Modern technology such as the snowmobile, cell phone, and generator have made life a little easier on the tundra. "Before I had to rely on reindeer to get around," Khudi said. "Now the snowmobile allows me to travel further distances to meet families."
There are no verifiable numbers, but Khudi estimates some 500 Nenets people have accepted the Lord in recent years. "There are still thousands more who have yet to hear about Jesus," he said. Khudi continues to traverse the harsh landscape of the Siberian Tundra in search of more people to share Jesus with. (CBN)

"God and God Alone" - Steve Green

1 Chronicles 29:11-12 is one of the most powerful statements about the sovereignty of God in the Bible. Steve quotes it here before he sings, "God and God Alone".
