5. Telegraph reporter: It was a bang, followed by a scream - UK Telegraph

t was a bang, followed by a scream, that alerted me to the horror of what was happening outside.

In the Telegraph's office on the top floor of the Houses of Parliament, my colleagues and I darted to our window overlooking Parliament Square to see what was going on.

It was 2.40pm, and to our right, opposite Westminster Underground station, there was a commotion happening around a grey car that appeared to have crashed into the railings surrounding New Palace Yard.

"Oh God, there's been a car crash," one of my colleagues said. "That's terrible - you can see the car on the pavement." (Read more)

- Father, we ask that, as the police investigate every vestige of this crime, that the facts would become clear, and the perpetrator(s) be found and brought to justice.

7. UK Parliament attack: ISIS sympathizers celebrating on social media - Fox News

ISIS sympathizers are cheering the apparent deadly terror attack in London with memes and photos on social media, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility from the black-clad jihadist network.

Recent posts in Telegram channels linked to ISIS are filled with chatter, calling the attack outside the U.K. parliament "blessed," and a graphic of a burning Big Ben that reads "SOON OUR Battle On Your Land" with "London" in bold letters at the bottom of the image is circulating through Twitter.

ISIS has long promoted the use of vehicles and knives in attacks by so-called "lone wolf" terrorists, particularly in Western countries.

While the Islamic State has not yet claimed responsibility for the attacks in London, U.K. police say they are treating this as a terrorist attack until they have further information. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that those who carried out this attack will be discovered quickly. Thank You for revealing the hidden things concerning this attack, and any future plans will be brought to light, in Jesus Name.

- He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. (Daniel 2:22)

8. US hosting 68 countries for major anti-ISIS summit today - VOA News

STATE DEPARTMENT - After keeping a very low public profile in his first couple of months on the job, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is in the spotlight Wednesday and Thursday at a gathering in Washington aimed at countering the Islamic State terror group. This is the first full meeting since 2014 of foreign ministers and senior officials from the 68 countries and international organizations in the U.S.-led coalition that is fighting IS. The State Department said the goal of the conference was to accelerate international efforts to defeat IS in the remaining areas it holds in Iraq and Syria and maximize pressure on its branches, affiliates and networks. Acting State Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters Monday that the coalition was at an important stage of the fight against the terror group.

- Father God, we thank You for the leadership of Secretary Tillerson in this fight against ISIS. We ask for a true spirit of unity and of peace to fall upon the delegates of these 68 nations as they are gathered here in Washington, D.C. May they experience a united front in coming against their common enemy, ISIS. And we pray for the souls of all to come to know You as their own Savior and Lord. Amen.

- "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

We have to think thousands of times before the elections so that we won't find ourselves in the opposition," Gamliel said in an Army Radio interview.

She added that "the problem inherent in the coalition is the coalition agreements which should have be thought through before they were signed. The corporation is not a reason for elections. The public is sick of elections."

Commenting on the Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, evangelist Franklin Graham said the high court was the paramount issue of the 2016 election and Christians should pray for Gorsuch, adding that "atheist progressives" are working furiously to "strip God and all references to Him" from the public square and are pushing Christians "into the shadows."

Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch maintained a polite demeanor during Tuesday's marathon questioning by the Senate Judiciary Committee, sprinkling his responses with "golly" and "goodness" but refusing to answer questions on how he might rule from the bench.

Democrats repeatedly sought to get under Gorsuch's skin, but President Trump's nominee rarely appeared ruffled during his first day of questioning, and even seemed to charm senior Democrats at times.

6. Trump's EPA budget proposes harshest funding, staffing cuts in agency's history - Washington Times

President Trump's proposed cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency would take it back to the staffing levels it had under President Reagan and to a budget it outgrew in 1990, marking what would be the most dramatic rollback in the agency's 47-year history.

While the White House's budget blueprint isn't likely to survive as written, the plan underscores how Mr. Trump and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt are bent on reeling the agency back in and shrinking its footprint across the regulatory spectrum. They aim to achieve those goals through harsh cuts to the agency budget - slashing it by $2.6 billion - and the EPA workforce, calling for a reduction of 3,200 employees.

10. Breaking! Nunes: Trump transition members were under surveillance during Obama administration - POLITICO

Members of the Donald Trump transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under U.S. government surveillance following November's presidential election, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told reporters Wednesday.

Nunes said the monitoring appeared to be done legally as a result of what's called "incidental collection," but said he was concerned because it was not related to the FBI's investigation into Russia's meddling in the election and was widely disseminated across the intelligence community.

"I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were, I guess, at least monitored," Nunes told reporters. "It looks to me like it was all legally collected, but it was essentially a lot of information on the president-elect and his transition team and what they were doing." (Read more)

Gorsuch and the Supreme Court hearings

The circus begins as the Senate vets Supreme Court Justice nominee Neil Gorsuch. Certainly the standards for Gorsuch will be much higher than it was for the two communist sympathizers Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, who also are arguably the two most public supporters of the gay agenda in Supreme Court history. If you claim to be conservative, the criteria changes. I don't know much about Gorsuch, but I do know that what we will hear as a nation in the next few days will be mostly grandstanding by Senators, including off-the-wall accusations that grab headlines and fire up the already inflamed sensory of both liberals and conservatives alike. A little truth makes a better lie.

Already, Christians and their organizations have conducted email campaigns raising doubts about Gorsuch because of the churches he has attended. He reportedly was raised Roman Catholic and attends a very liberal Episcopalian congregation whose female pastor supports gay marriage. What can we really draw from that? Roman Catholic roots would tell us that on most issues he is conservative-religious freedom, right to life, privacy. Episcopalians are more liberal, perhaps splitting on right to life. Both churches are pretty liberal on issues of homosexuality. This is probably a picture of what we have with Gorsuch-conservative on protecting life and religious freedom; Liberal on homosexuality.

It would be nice, irrespective of Gorsuch's personal opinions, if he would interpret the Constitution the way that the Bible should be interpreted-from the meaning of the words and the context in which they are written. Gorsuch is supposed to replace Antonin Scalia, one of the most conservative members of the high court. Gorsuch is not Scalia. He is also not who would have been appointed if Donald Trump was not president. If the election had gone the other way, we may have the likes of a judge like Derrick Watson, the Hawaii District Court Judge who twists the meaning of words and appears to interpret the dictionary as a living document-just like he would the Constitution.

Trump may get an opportunity to appoint another two justices. His appointments could change the way law is interpreted for generations to come. It is important that whomever he chooses is able to read words for what they are and interpret the law in the context it was written, especially the Constitution. For far too long, both Republican and Democratic justices have strayed from the original context, making America more and more a social democracy than a Constitutional Republic. We need guardians of the Constitution on the Supreme Court, not esoteric-minded political hacks. Let's pray for Gorsuch to be such a guardian. May he be an Amos 5:24 judge who lets "judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Senators should ask Gorsuch these questions

There is a whole lot of showmanship being displayed in the Neil Gorsuch Supreme Court confirmation hearings. There are, however, questions that those of us who adhere to the laws of God would like to see asked. In response to a question about overturning Roe v Wade, candidate Donald Trump stated during the third debate, "Well, if that would happen, because I am pro-life, and I will be appointing pro-life judges, I would think that that will go back to the individual states. If we put another two or perhaps three justice on, that's really what's going to be. That'll happen automatically, in my opinion, because I am putting pro-life justices on the court." Gorsuch should be posed the same question.

Regarding sanctity of marriage Trump seemed to have a similar view. In a 60 Minutes interview as President-Elect, Trump responded to a question about overturning gay marriage by saying, "It's law. It was settled in the Supreme Court...These cases have gone to the Supreme Court. They've been settled. And I'm, I'm fine with that." During the primaries, Trump said the Supreme Court should have allowed the states to independently decide the issue. In a Fox News interview, he was asked if he would appoint a Supreme Court justice who would overturn the gay marriage decision and send it back to the states. Trump responded, "I would strongly consider that, yes." Gorsuch should be asked the same question.

Despite being pro-life, there are concerns within the faith community about Gorsuch. Remember the concerns about the ex "president's" ties with his pastor Jeremiah Wright, a Black Liberation Theology radical? Those concerns were realized during eight years of the "president" acting out Wright's philosophies, albeit in a watered-down form. Gorsuch and his wife have been very active in a church pastored by Susan W Springer. On January 22, Springer posted a video of the women's march in Denver and stated that her and her "contingent" were joining Indivisable-that's the radical organization promoting revolution and funded by George Soros that is providing training videos on how to protest Donald Trump. Gorsuch should be asked whether he supports his pastor's radical viewpoints.

On February 1,The Washington Post asked Florida Episcopal priest George Conger about Gorsuch and Springer. Conger said, "It's a social parish in Boulder. There is not really a strong tie between the beliefs of a rector in a social parish and the beliefs of its members." This is not necessarily a good testimony about church, pastor or parishioner. Notwithstanding, it would be nice to hear how Gorsuch stands. Asked by Senator Al Franken (D-Mn) about whether he was part of plans for "deconstruction of the administrative state," Gorsuch replied, "I don't appreciate when people characterize me, as I'm sure you don't appreciate when people characterize you. I like to speak for myself. I am a judge. I am my own man." Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Senators, ask the questions. Let's see if Gorsuch is his own man.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Today's Hearings: Judge Gorsuch

Gorsuch: Gay marriage is 'settled law' - but what about abortion?

No matter how hard Democrats tried, Gorsuch refused to be pinned down on specific policies spanning from abortion to campaign finance to gun regulations.

But on at least one hot-button matter, the Supreme Court nominee said the issue was all but settled: same-sex marriage, which was legalized after the high court's landmark decision in Obergefell s. Hodges in 2015.

"It is absolutely settled law," Gorsuch said under questioning from Franken. He added that he would not weigh in with his personal views toward gay marriage, noting that his comments could inaccurately signal that he would not rule fairly in other cases and added: "There is ongoing litigation about its impact and its application right now."

Later, pressed by Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Gorsuch again said of gay marriage: "That's a right that the Supreme Court has recognized."

Gorsuch wasn't so definitive when it came to the issue of abortion, which arose frequently Tuesday. In that sense, Gorsuch somewhat echoed the position of Trump himself.

Shortly after his surprise victory last November, Trump said in a "60 Minutes" interview that he viewed gay marriage as "settled" law, but he was much less definitive on the future of Roe v. Wade.

"You have these cases that have already gone to the Supreme Court. They've been settled, and I'm fine with that," Trump said when asked during the interview about gay marriage.

But on abortion, Trump was singing a different tune: Trump said he would nominate "pro-life" justices and "having to do with abortion, if it ever were overturned, it would go back to the states."

Gorsuch called Roe "a precedent of the United States Supreme Court." But when asked by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) whether he viewed the decision as a "super precedent," Gorsuch responded: "It has been reaffirmed many times, I can say that."(Read more)

- Father God, we do thank You that these two questions have been asked of Judge Gorsuch: to know how he might rule in cases involving overruling either Roe v. Wade and the Obergefell s. Hodges case. We thank You that he has answered these inquiries in truth.

Now, O Lord, we ask for great wisdom for each member of the Senate Judiciary Committee if this is, indeed, a man who should be placed on the U.S. Supreme Court, and whose views, in deciding these cases, would reflect those of the majority of our citizens. And Lord, most importantly, we ask for a Justice whose views are in agreement with the Word of God and the U.S. Constitution. In Your Name, O Lord, amen.

- "He appointed judges in the land in all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city. He said to the judges, "Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the LORD who is with you when you render judgment. Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness. . . "
(2 Chronicles 19: 5-7)

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

Urgent: American Health Care Vote Tomorrow

Urgent: American Health Care Vote Tomorrow

Submitted by:

Rev. Pierre Bynum
Chaplain & National Prayer Director
Family Research Council

On Monday night, several "tweaks" were made to Paul Ryan's American Health Care Act (AHCA) bill in hopes of winning enough conservative votes to pass. The bill is still opposed by Democrats and many conservatives, most notably the House Freedom Caucus. The House Freedom Caucus (30+ Republican members) has promised to oppose the bill if major changes are not made. The group felt that the bill retained too much of Obamacare and did not adequately repeal but rather made tweaks to the old law. To be truly conservative and constitutional, they argue, it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. If all the members of the Freedom Caucus vote against the bill, it will not pass. A report in the Washington Post indicated that the conservative Caucus is now "neutral" on the Act, and that members are free to vote in favor of it if they wish. Yet Caucus Chairman, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) told the Hill Newspaper Monday night that given his understanding of the changes, "not enough was altered to bring him and his colleagues on board."

On March 13, before Monday's fixes, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) issued a pessimistic report on AHCA, but Forbes Magazine puts the report into perspective. One of the House GOP "fixes" was to explicitly prevent any abortion coverage with tax payer dollars. Some pro-life organizations are supporting the bill. Other concerned pro-lifers warn that this is just one chamber and that the Senate will produce its own bill. Indeed, because of obscure rules in the Senate, the pro-life language could fail to survive a parliamentarian challenge. Plus, the versions must be reconciled, and other changes could be made in the process. President Trump is pushing the current bill hard, lobbying individual members.
- Please pray that the poor will be helped but that the law ultimately passed will be a free market solution for everyone else, which will be the only way to keep health innovation and care the highest possible quality and at the lowest cost. Above all, pray that policies containing abortion coverage will not be subsidized by federal tax credits. Pray that the Senate will produce a bill that meets the same conditions!

- " Thou shalt not kill." (Exodus 20:13)

New David's Tent Update

New David's Tent Update:

Latest News from Jason Hershey

"To this God, we have prayed . . ."

Dear Friends,

Great Great NEWS! Jesus Is Alive! . . . And so is David's Tent. The vision goes on.

Thank you all for your prayers and advocating! You know who you are . . . SMILE! Perhaps, by the end of all this, Jesus himself will be the talk of the town.

The NPS/Dept of Interior gave us three options last week of how we could move the tent to keep it going. The song will go on. The prayer will not cease. We appreciate the work of the NPS to give us their best efforts.

Unfortunately, the three options would put David's Tent off to the side, in places that we'd be wearing out our welcome quickly, or in noise and space that is counter-intuitive to our heart's prayer. We deeply desire, as we pray, to make Jesus central and greatly honor Him. He should have the best real estate possible, don't you think?

I was reminded this week of the original heart of David's Tent in this regard. King David knew that the God of heaven and earth deserves to be central and to be honored in an honorable way, in an honorable place. My heart sighed when I looked at the three options: Two side parks off the mall, and squeezed in beside a noisy construction zone on the mall. Remember the days of the WhiteHouse Ellipse? Remember center on the Mall by the Washington Monument? Remember David? Hosting The Presence of God in a tent by the palace in the Capital City, with 4288 musicians and singers (1 Chronicles)?
For this reason, I have set my faith, prayers, and efforts to get back on the WhiteHouse Ellipse again, like the early days. The newly enacted (last year) turf policy no longer allows for that, but we are going to continue to appeal to those of higher authority for help in finding solutions that we can honor Jesus in an honorable place in DC.
I had a brand new thought in a meeting with the NPS this week. The words just fell out of my mouth. That's a big oppsey-daisey . . . unpremeditated words in DC. Not always a good idea! But this time it worked! (Read this testimony by going here.)

It's time to pray and use our "weapons" of warfare once again, including repentance.

Hollyweird, with their many high priests and priestesses of the New Age Spirit, have proffered up their latest abomination on the altar of public consumption.

If you have not read "The Shack" or haven't gone to see the movie, save yourself some time and money.

Don't open the door to this fictitious, flawed "shack." Far better to open your door to the True Risen Christ. He stands at the door of your heart knocking. He's calling all believers to spend time with Him, not a counterfeit. Spend time "dining" with the Risen Christ and having him train you to become zealous to repent and then to be an overcomer. .
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous to repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." ~Revelation 3:19-22
If you do intend to go see it, please be forewarned: You will be given pure theological poison. This message will not help you "contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 3). "Contend" means we have to publicly call for the need to REPENT and fight the good fight of faith.

The Shack seeks to deliver its anti-Christ, New Age message in a variety of different theologically false arguments, but to sum it up: It seeks to create God in MAN'S image instead of man being created in GOD's image. (Read more here)

PRAYER: Lord, teach us to read, meditate, and ponder on Your Holy Word so that we might be able to become workman approved . . . unashamed and ready to fight the good fight with the Sword of the Spirit. The devil is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Like any destructive animal of prey . . . he looks for the weak first. We have no excuse when we spend more time watching TV, attending movies, reading secular junk and going to sports events than studying Your Word. We are malnourished and unprepared to engage in the spiritual deception that is descending upon the planet at an alarmingly rapid rate.

PLEASE pour out your Holy Spirit as you promised in these Last Days to enable us to resist the devil and charge Onward to advance Your Kingdom. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the King of kings and the Lord of lords under which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is the Lord of all. ~ Amen

Classic Hymns:
WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Galatians 6:14)

Lyrics

When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God! All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.

See from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

His dying crimson, like a robe, Spreads o'er His body on the tree; Then I am dead to all the globe, And all the globe is dead to me.

Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.

Fast-Growing Christian Movement Attracts the Young, Upends Religious, Political Landscape

An entrepreneurial Christian movement described as "Independent Network Charismatic" or INC is now the fastest growing Christian group in America, two researchers say, and it is attracting the young and wielding powerful influence on both the religious and political fronts.

In their recently released book, The Rise of Network Christianity, academics Brad Christerson, professor of Sociology at Biola University, and Richard Flory, senior director of research and evaluation at University of Southern California, discuss the movement closely connected to "conservative U.S. politicians, including Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry and more recently President Donald Trump."

"Based on our research, we believe that INC Christianity is significantly changing the religious landscape in America - and its politics," Christerson and Flory explained in The Conversation last Wednesday, in a sort of primer on the movement.

"INC Christianity is the fastest-growing Christian group in America and possibly around the world. Over the 40 years from 1970 to 2010, the number of regular attenders of Protestant churches as a whole shrunk by an average of .05 percent per year, while independent neo-charismatic congregations (a category in which INC groups reside) grew by an average of 3.24 percent per year," the authors said.

While the group believes as other charismatics do in miracles and the supernatural, INCs are much more focused on spreading their beliefs through media conferences and ministry tools rather than building congregations. Instead of transforming society through proselytizing, they are also more focused on "transforming society through placing Christian believers in powerful positions in all sectors of society." They are also organized as a network of independent leaders rather than as formally organized denominations.
The researchers explained that most INC Christian groups they studied "seek to bring heaven or God's intended perfect society to Earth by placing 'kingdom-minded people' in powerful positions at the top of all sectors of society."

Leaders of the movement have labeled these sectors the "seven mountains of culture." They are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, family and religion.

"They believe if Christians rise to the top of all seven 'mountains,' society will be completely transformed," said Christerson and Flory.

And some of them see the election of Donald Trump as part of fulfilling God's plan to "bring heaven to Earth." That position is further strengthened by placing believers in top posts in government like Rick Perry, who is currently heading the Energy Department; Betsy DeVos directing the Department of Education; and Ben Carson leading the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This NFL Quarterback Stopped to Help a Stranded Motorist . . . Then They Start Praying

San Francisco, CA)-[CBN News] A local music producer was a bit frustrated after he ran out of gas and became stranded on the side of the road. Thankfully, it wasn't long before a good Samaritan came by and offered help and a ride.

The pair got to talking about a bunch of things, but little did he know the kind young man giving him a lift was more than just a nice guy-he was star NFL QB Derek Carr.

"He couldn't have been more down to earth. He was wearing a hat and basketball shorts. I had no idea. He was just driving by and helped. It really made me feel good that there are good people still out there doing nice things for people." (Read more)
