1. 'IDF will respond fiercely and without hesitating' - Israel National News
Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben Dahan spoke Wednesday to 600 soldiers from various units who were visiting the Begin Heritage Center during a tour of Jerusalem sites.
He told the soldiers that "There is no better expression of the Jewish state than the IDF. The past year has been particularly stormy for the IDF, which finds itself under attack in different sectors which are not necessarily battlefields but instead are in the realm of public opinion." (Read more)
2. IDF strikes Gaza targets after rocket hits southern Israel - Israel Hayom
IDF tanks struck targets in the northern Gaza Strip Wednesday, after a Gazan rocket landed on a residential street in the southern city of Sderot. No injuries were reported in the rocket attack, though paramedics treated bystanders for shock and a nearby house and car suffered damage.
The rocket attack Wednesday morning came after a calm Rosh Hashanah holiday. Following the IDF's retaliatory strike, Hamas ordered its operatives to leave their posts in western Gaza City. Hamas leaders have been unreachable on their cellular phones. (Read more)
3. Arafat's nephew said tapped to lead PA after Abbas -- Times of Israel
A nephew of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has reportedly been tapped to lead the Palestinian Authority as a successor to the aging Mahmoud Abbas.
Nasser al-Kidwa, the son of Arafat's sister, has been emerging as next-in-line to lead the Palestinian Authority, according to a Channel 2 report Wednesday, as a number of Arab states have been urging Abbas to name a successor so as to avoid chaos in the Palestinian governing body in the event of his resignation or inability to lead. 4. International Criminal Court team visits Israel, West Bank - Times of Israel
A delegation from the world's only permanent war crimes court is visiting Israel and the West Bank this week to "promote better understanding" about its work, the chief prosecutor said Wednesday.
The trip, from Wednesday until next Monday, is the first to the region by officials from the prosecutor's office at the International Criminal Court since the 2014 Gaza war. (Read more)
5. The IDF's active defense brings security to Hebron region - Jerusalem Post
The 401st Tank brigade controls the area around Hebron, conducting searches for weapons and protecting Israel's border as a new fence is constructed. The soldiers have been up late every night conducting raids. There are arrests to be made, searches for illegal weapons, military gear, pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails. "We aren't the first to do this, says Lt. Col. Tsafrir Harshoshanim, commander of battalion 46 of the 401st tank brigade, "but the offensive operations we are doing have found many weapons. We have failed two terror attacks. We located [Palestinians] preparing firebomb attacks."
The 401st has been protecting a large area of the West Bank around Hebron for the last four months. The base of the unit sits atop a small hillock called Har Manoch on the southern flank of Hebron city.
It's 928 meters above sea level and has a commanding view of the Palestinian factories and houses on the outskirts of Hebron on one side and the Jewish community of Hagai on the other. Not far from here was where Rabbi Michael 'Miki' Mark was murdered in July. Rabbi Yaakov Litman and his son were also murdered on a stretch of route 60 near here in November 2015. The three killings are some of the dozens that have occurred in the last decades of terror around Hebron. This region has also produced numerous terrorists who have infiltrated Israeli communities in other parts of the countries and killed people. (Read more)

Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
1. Millions urged to flee deadly, strengthening Hurricane Matthew - Fox News
Nearly 2 million people were under evacuation orders in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas -- where residents stocked up on supplies and boarded up homes as Hurricane Matthew roared toward the U.S. and officials reported at least 65 people killed in Haiti.
Hurricane Matthew was a dangerous and life-threatening Category 3 storm Thursday with sustained winds of 125 mph as it pounded the Bahamas. Matthew was expected to strengthen over the next day into an even more destructive Category 4 as it neared Florida, with forecasting models predicting the storm to ride up the coast all the way to South Carolina.
Matthew was centered about 295 miles southeast of West Palm Beach and moving northwest at 10 mph early Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Center. The agency reaffirmed the notion that the storm could potentially increase to a Category 4 as it eyes the Atlantic. (Read more)
- Lord we ask for Your mercy over the East coast of the US. We pray that in midst of danger, there will be a place for Your love and protection for Your children.
- "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a] I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." (Psalm 91:1,2)
2. Republicans blast FBI for 'astonishing' agreement to destroy Clinton aides' laptops - Fox News
Top-ranking Republicans on Wednesday escalated their inquiry into a controversial FBI agreement to destroy the laptops of two Hillary Clinton aides questioned in the email scandal investigation, pressing Attorney General Loretta Lynch for answers and suggesting the deal obstructed congressional investigators. The agreement to destroy the computers, the lawmakers wrote Wednesday in a letter to Lynch, "is simply astonishing given the likelihood that evidence on the laptops would be of interest to congressional investigators."
The letter, signed by four Republican committee chairmen, follows allegations Monday that immunity deals for former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson included a side arrangement obliging the FBI to destroy their laptops after reviewing the devices. Sources said the arrangement also limited the search to no later than Jan. 31, 2015. This meant investigators could not review documents for the key period after Clinton's use of a private email and server as secretary of state became public. (Read more)
- Lord, the corruption has gone out of control in every area of the government. Destruction of evidence in an ongoing investigation is horrifying. We remind You that America was founded on Your Name. We pray that You will redeem our nation from this massive amount of sin.
- "For with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption."
(Psalm 130:b)
3. Exclusive: Yahoo secretly scanned customer emails for U.S. intelligence - sources - Reuters
Yahoo Inc last year secretly built a custom software program to search all of its customers' incoming emails for specific information provided by U.S. intelligence officials, according to people familiar with the matter. The company complied with a classified U.S. government demand, scanning hundreds of millions of Yahoo Mail accounts at the behest of the National Security Agency or FBI, said three former employees and a fourth person apprised of the events.
Some surveillance experts said this represents the first case to surface of a U.S. Internet company agreeing to an intelligence agency's request by searching all arriving messages, as opposed to examining stored messages or scanning a small number of accounts in real time. (Read more)
- Father, once again we learn of nefarious actions that violate our right to privacy. We pray the You will seek out who demanded this, who agreed to it, and restore our ability to use the internet safely.
- "Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned." (Psalm 34:21)
4. FEC war: Dems reject call to protect Internet news, talk radio from regs - Washington Examiner
In the latest partisan escalation on the Federal Election Commission, a top Democratic commissioner has ripped a Republican commissioner's bid to protect books, radio and Internet media from regulation as "pitiful."
Ann Ravel, a former FEC chairwoman, joined other Democrats at a meeting this month to block Republican Lee Goodman's proposal to explicitly expand the "press exemption" from regulations to books, satellite radio and Internet-based news media. In pushing his plan aside, Ravel said that she didn't have enough time to consider Goodman's proposal. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will protect Your people who use the internet to find truth. We ask that You move on Democrats in a mighty way, bringing them to their knees in repentance. Whatever it may take, Lord to preserve the freedom from censorship, we pray that You will do it.
- "And whatever You ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13)
5. Big U.S. school district 'submits to Islamic supremacy' - WND
One of the nation's largest school districts has adopted a resolution banning "hate speech" against Muslim students while accusing America of having "a long history of racism and xenophobia."
The controversial resolution, unanimously approved by the Kansas City Board of Education on Sept. 28, states that there are 30,000 Muslims living in the greater Kansas City area, "making invaluable contributions to our economy, our social and political life, and our culture."
It goes on to state that discrimination on the basis of religion, "and against Muslims in particular, is deeply embedded within our country's long history of racism and xenophobia." (Read more)
- Father, we are grieved that this school district has succumbed to the lies of the enemy. We ask that You protect and preserve Your children, giving them the strength and faith to stand. We also pray that You will send Your Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of the school district, and the Muslims who have done this.
- "A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape." (Proverbs 19:5)
6. ISIS Fighting End-of-Days Battle in Dabiq to Bring Muslim Messiah - Breaking Israel News
While God's judgement of the world hangs in balance during the Days of Awe between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, a battle is being fought in a small, dusty town in Syria that ISIS and many of the world's 1.6 billion Muslims believe will usher in Mahdi, the Islamic concept of Messiah. "Meanwhile we can see a war between Russia and the US on Syria. Put simply, Gog and Magog." (Read more)
- Lord, we thank You for accomplishing Your Word, Your will in these days. No matter what happens, we stand in Your mercy and love, watching to see the coming of our Messiah!
"He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20)
7. European human rights chiefs order the British press NOT to reveal when terrorists are Muslims in crackdown on freedom of speech - Daily Mail
European human rights chiefs have told the British press it must not report when terrorists are Muslim. The recommendations came as part of a list of 23 meddling demands to Theresa May's government on how to run the media in an alarming threat to freedom speech.
The report, drawn up by the Council of Europe's human rights watchdog, blamed the recent increase in hate crimes and racism in the UK on the 'worrying examples of intolerance and hate speech in the newspapers, online and even among politicians', although the research was done before the EU referendum campaign had even begun.
The suggestions sent to Downing Street urging the UK Government to reform criminal law and freedom of the press and in a brutal criticism of the British press, the report recommends ministers 'give more rigorous training' to journalists. (Read more)
- Lord, this is sad that British news agencies are being controlled by the Islamic agenda to keep people in the dark. We pray that You will help the people of Britain stand against this plan, and reject control of their press.
- "Do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." (Matthew 10:26)
8. IMF urges governments to tackle record global debt of $152tn - The Guardian
The International Monetary Fund has urged governments to take action to tackle a record $152tn debt mountain before it triggers a fresh global financial and economic crisis. Warning that debt levels were not just high but rising, the IMF said it was vital to intervene early in order to mitigate the risks of a repeat of the damaging events that began with the collapse of the US sub-prime housing bubble almost a decade ago.
It said that new research in its half-yearly fiscal monitor covering 113 countries had shown that debt was currently 225% of global GDP, with the private sector responsible for two-thirds of the total. Vitor Gaspar, the director of the IMF's fiscal affairs department said: "$152tn is a record high. In places around the world we have excessive debt. In some places we have debt, in particular non-financial corporations' debt, growing very fast. (Read more)
- Lord, the world debt is so high that there is concern of collapse of all world economies. We pray for Your wisdom, Your intervention to stabilize the situation.
- "The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; in the net which they, their own foot is caught. The Lord is known by the judgment He executes."
(Psalm 9:15, 16a)
9. Security Council Backs António Guterres to Be Next U.N. Secretary General - NY Times
The United Nations Security Council reached a surprisingly swift consensus Wednesday on its choice for the next secretary general of the United Nations: António Guterres, a former prime minister of Portugal. Mr. Guterres, 67, who ran the United Nations refugee agency for 10 years, had been the clear front-runner for the last several months. That a deeply divided Security Council rallied around him was a clear signal that Russia and the West saw him as someone they could work with.
Thirteen candidates, including a record seven women, had vied for the job; two had dropped out. "We have a clear favorite, and his name is António Guterres," said Vitaly I. Churkin, the Russian ambassador to the United Nations, who is presiding over the Security Council this month. (Read more)
- Lord, thank You that the council did not choose our out-going President for this position. We ask that You protect America in this transition, and block any attempts to send more refugees to our shores, as well as any other agenda Mr. Guterres may have that might not be in Your plan.
- "He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints."
(Proverbs 2:8)
10. Globalism is Anti-Christ, Demonic, Theologians Argue - Christian Post
Prominent theologians and scholars are saying this week that while globalism may be a buzzword this election season, too few understand the demonic forces driving this ideology.
As The New York Times reported Monday, until relatively recently it was rare to hear people referred to as "globalists" but the label is more common now. And while many globalists claim to have the interests of the entire world at heart, the irony is that they have become a tribe of sorts; and they are a wealthy, elite, and powerful tribe for whom national borders are an impediment to their agenda. - Genesis 11 speaks of the Tower of Babel and the danger of the whole world having one language and one speech. Pray that we will stand resolute in retaining our freedoms, property, and rights, and that any move toward a one-world government will be defeated.
- "The Lord said, 'If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.' So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city." (Gen. 11:6-8)

Ignoring the obvious
The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:11-13: "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." The order of wickedness emanates from the devil. His minions are established in spiritual principalities, extending to those who are placed in the hierarchy here on earth-those of this world. We need to recognize this and understand it, especially as it relates to our leadership.
On October 22, 1962, President John F. Kennedy faced such an example with the Cuban missile crisis. Kennedy addressed the nation, saying "This Government, as promised, has maintained the closest surveillance of the Soviet military buildup on the island of Cuba. Within the past week, unmistakable evidence has established the fact that a series of offensive missile sites is now in preparation on that imprisoned island. The purpose of these bases can be none other than to provide a nuclear strike capability against the Western Hemisphere. The Soviet leadership lied about the missiles up to the very day of Kennedy's address. It was obvious, even though many did not want to suspend their disbelief to see the imminent threat of death or surrender that was facing our beloved country.
This is no different than the current Administration. It has been revealed that the White House and its minions deliberately lied to the American people and the news media, misled them intentionally, about dealing with the world's foremost sponsor of terrorism-Iran. According to a Washington Free Beacon investigative report, the Administration lied to the media, lawmakers and the citizenry for over nine months as it reached agreement to release $1.7 billion to the very Iranian bank that funds the country's ballistic missile system. Instead of curtailing Iran's nuclear program, the White House has accelerated it. For over seven years, the White House has appeared to work against the best interest of Americans.
We, as a law abiding people, chose to right these types of wrongs peacefully rather than with bloodshed. We do it through elections. We cannot ignore the obvious. Continuing the takeover of our nation by those who wish to destroy it in the name of change is ignoring the obvious. Continuing this is detrimental to ourselves and our offspring. The scriptures say that the devil wishes to steal, kill and destroy. That is what is facing us with this election. We can either chose peacefully to begin to change it with this election, or ignore the obvious and reap the consequences as children of disobedience. It will lead to more theft, death, and destruction. As for me and my house, we chose to take a course where us and our seed may live. We have to draw the line in the sand somewhere. We must repent, pray, and most certainly, ACT.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Abba Father God,
We lay all of these burdens before Your Throne of Grace, and we cry out, dear Lord, "in wrath, remember mercy!"
We freely admit that we are a people who have lost our way, and we desperately need Your guidance, that we might find our way back to You again. Teach us Your ways, O Lord.
Father God, we thank You that it is written that You came to give us life, and that more abundantly, while it is Satan who comes to rob, to steal and to destroy. We ask for a miracle of divine mercy this day, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord, that this storm might yet abate, and turn away from our land. We ask for Your redemptive purpose to come forth through Hurricane Matthew, for the name "Matthew" means "gift of God."
Let us realize the great blessing You have in store for our people, as we repent.
Let this Category 4 Storm dissipate into nothing, so that Your Glory might be revealed among the nations, and that the lives of many might be yet saved unto salvation. We lift this prayer unto You, Abba Father God, trusting that You can and will turn this situation to good, if we but ask.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

Will Hurricane hit DC after Obama Refrains from Recognizing Jerusalem
as Capital
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem" (Zechariah 12:9)
> > > Below please find an article, published last weekend by Breitbart, showing the possible connection between our recent behavior towards Israel, and the development of this storm. It is interesting to note, too, that when this article was published, Matthew was still out in the Atlantic, but that just after the Obama administration made the decision, reported below, that storm suddenly exploded overnight from a Category 1 to a Category 4 level hurricane -- startling all forecasters at the time.
Will Hurricane hit DC after Obama Refrains from Recognizing Jerusalem as Capital - Breitbart
It will be interesting to see if the Hurricane in the currently over Cuba hits DC after Obama refrains from recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital The White House press office on Friday struck out "Israel" as the country in which Jerusalem is located when distributing a transcript of President Obama's remarks at the funeral of former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres.
The administration initially sent out a copy of President Barack Obama's remarks at former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres' funeral in Jerusalem, indicating that the remarks had been given in Jerusalem, Israel. But later Friday afternoon, the press office sent out a correction to the previous email, striking out "Israel" from the header of the transcript. (Read more here.)
> > > Today, we see where we are . . . and now the forecasters are warning that Matthew might very well TURN BACK to revisit Florida again next week. Hence, we continue to track this storm . . .
Now, note three articles, below, published today, stating that the U.S. has now gone back on its word to protect a village in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria).
As our official policy has now been to "double down" on this settlement, could this be the next reason for a "double hit" on our land?
1. US: Israel broke its word on new settlements
Washington (CNN) - The United States issued an unusually strong rebuke Wednesday of Israel's plan to build new housing tracts in the West Bank. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest called the announced construction a setback to peace in the region and suggested the Israeli government had broken its word.
"We did receive public assurances from the Israeli government that contradict this announcement," he said. "I guess when we're talking about how good friends treat one another, that's a source of serious concern as well." (Read more)
2. Final Obama Battle Waged Against Amona Jews - Jewish Press
The new, and, God Willing, final confrontation between the departing Obama Administration and the still ticking Netanyahu government appears to center on Amona, located on a hill overlooking Ofra in Benjamin Region, at the heart of the liberated territories. (Read more)
3. U.S. government condemns new Israeli plan on settlements - Reuters
The United States sharply criticized Israel on Wednesday over plans to build a new Jewish settlement in the West Bank that it said would damage prospects for peace with the Palestinians and contradicted assurances made to Washington.
The White House and State Department "strongly condemned" Israel's decision to advance a plan that they said would create a new settlement "deep in the West Bank" and undermine a two-state solution.
In unusually harsh words for its Middle Eastern ally, Washington also accused Israel of going back on its word.
"We did receive public assurances from the Israeli government that contradict this announcement," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said at a news briefing. "I guess when we're talking about how good friends treat one another, that's a source of serious concern as well." (Read more)
PRAYER FOCUS:
Abba Father God, we repent for the actions being taken by this administration, that refuses to honor our word with Israel and that even works to deny the very existence of this nation. Lord God, please show us Your Hand of mercy, and cause this storm to not return to our coast, but instead, to go out to sea and to dissipate. We ask this in Your name, Yeshua, amen.
SCRIPTURES TO DECREE:
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (Acts 3:19)
"The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy." (Psalm 145:8)
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure." (Psalm 122:6)
Amen.

The bishop from diocese of Kadugli in the Nuba Mountains, has accused THE Sudan government of a deliberate persecution policy aimed at uprooting Christians from the country.

Words: Francis H. Rowley, 1886
Music: Peter P. Bilhorn, 1886
About the hymn:
I was minister of the First Baptist Church of North Adams [Massachusetts] at the time the hymn was written in 1886, as nearly as I can remember. The church and the community were experiencing a period of unusual interest in religious matters, and I was assisted by a remarkable young singer named Peter Bilhorn. One night after the close of the service he said, "Why don't you write a hymn for me to set to music?" During the night these most unpretentious and wholly unworthy verses came to me. Some years ago as I was going down a London street one night about eleven o'clock, I discovered ahead of me a group of Salvation Army people holding a service, and as I came nearer to them it occurred to me that the hymn they were singing was familiar. Then it dawned upon me that it was this one. - Francis Rowley

Scientists say they've discovered a new fault line running along the eastern edge of the Salton Sea parallel to the San Andreas Fault.

Valerie Sahakian, a researcher with the U.S. Geological Survey and lead author of the study, said the newly named Salton Trough Fault has no connection to the recent quake swarm and the timing of the announcement is coincidental. (Desert Sun) Read more.
Part Three:
Red Airglow Over Easter Island
Not every colorful light in the night sky is an aurora. Especially not in the South Pacific. Yuri Beletsky was on a beach in Easter Island, Chile, two nights ago when the starry canopy turned red.
"There was no fire," says Beletsky. "This is an amazing display of airglow."
Airglow is aurora-like phenomenon caused by chemical reactions in the upper atmosphere. Human eyes seldom notice the faint glow, because it is usually very faint, but it can be photographed on almost any clear dark night, anywhere in the world.
Beletsky is a veteran photographer of airglow, having captured it dozens of times from sites in Chile and the South Pacific. "The intensity of airglow varies, and sometimes it can be more prominent, as it was on Oct. 2nd," he says.
The curious thing about Beletsky's photo is not the intensity of the airglow, but rather its color--red. Airglow is usually green, the color of light from oxygen atoms some 90 km to 100 km above Earth's surface. Where does the red come from? Instead of oxygen, OH can produce the ruddy hue. These neutral molecules (not to be confused with the OH- ion found in aqueous solutions) exist in a thin layer 85 km high where gravity waves often impress the red glow with a dramatic rippling structure. Good News: Crisis Pregnancy Centers Win against Baltimore City Ordinance
Pro-life women's pregnancy centers may be nearing the end of a five-year legal battle against the city of Baltimore, which passed an ordinance requiring them to post signs they say would discourage women from availing themselves of the help the centers offer. A federal judge ruled the city cannot force crisis pregnancy centers to post signs telling clients they do not provide or refer for surgical or medical abortions.

"So the nations will fear the name of the Lord
And all the kings of the earth Your glory." (Psalm 102:15)
God is using His people to build a Canopy of Prayer across our nation, to stand in the gap before His Throne of Grace in repentance for our personal and national sins; and to pray against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
We meet at 7:00 p.m. EDT, Monday through Friday, in an "open forum." We have no set agenda, but to seek Him daily for the burdens of His heart, and to pray them through . . .
All are welcome to join us in this exciting new venture!
We meet every evening, Monday through Friday.
