The Daily Brief

1. Iran Offers Plan, Dismissed by U.S., on Nuclear Crisis - NY Times

With harsh economic sanctions contributing to the first major protests in Iran in three years, Iranian officials have begun to describe what they call a "nine-step plan" to defuse the nuclear crisis with the West by gradually suspending the production of the uranium that would be easiest for them to convert into a nuclear weapon.

- Lord, deliver us from evil. Be with leaders dealing with Iran to make the right decisions. Arise, O Lord, hear and act to protect Your people and innocent people until they come to know You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

- Arise, O Lord. Confront him, cast him down. (Psalm 17:13)

2. WSJ: Unrest in Tehran altering Israel's stance - Jerusalem Post

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the protests in Iran linked to the country's weakening currency are causing Israeli officials to reconsider the likelihood of a strike against Iranian nuclear targets in the coming months.

- Lord, let people come to call on You for provision. Let Your voice and the voice of Your people be heard. Give the leaders of Israel Your guidance. Let protests that are not voicing Your ways be silenced. We pray for real freedom to arise. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

- Show Your marvelous loving kindness by Your right hand. O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. (Psalm 17:7)

3. Intelligence officials angered by Obama administration cover up of intelligence on Iranian, al Qaeda - Washington Free Beacon

Weeks before the presidential election, President Barack Obama's administration faces mounting opposition from within the ranks of U.S. intelligence agencies over what career officers say is a 'cover up' of intelligence information about terrorism in North Africa.

- Lord, we pray for any cover up to be uncovered. We thank You for those people who are arising to speak truth.

Open ears to hear truth we pray. Open eyes to see. Bring all that is hidden in darkness to light. We pray for protection for all those speaking truth. In the name of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the light we pray. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

- For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. (Romans 1:18)

4. Curious U.S. and French Military Deployments - Stratfor

Stratfor has received multiple reports of U.S. and French military movements that we would like to highlight to our readers. These movements could have multiple explanations and might not be linked. But given the numerous ongoing crises specifically centered in North Africa and the Middle East, we consider these developments to be worth following.

For the full, detailed report, go here.

- Father God, as the nations prepare for war, we thank You that You have already won the war for us in the heavens. We ask Your hand of protection to rest upon every man and woman being deployed in these latest maneuvers, and for Your hand of wisdom to guide each one in authority. We ask this in Jesus' Name, amen.

- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8)

5. Drone downed over Israel tied to Iran - WND

Officials fear future precision attacks by explosive-laden aerial vehicles

JERUSALEM - The unidentified aerial vehicle that was downed yesterday after penetrating Israel's airspace was the suspected work of a combined operation of two Iranian-backed groups - Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad - according to Middle East security officials.

The security officials said they believe the purpose of flying the drone into Israel was twofold: To collect aerial reconnaissance photos and video intelligence; and as a test to see how deep an unmanned drone can penetrate Israel before being detected by the Israeli army.

There is fear that in the future such drones can be laden with a large amount of explosives for use in precision attacks against military or civilian targets, possibly even including large buildings. Read more.

- Offer praise that our King of Kings and our Lord of Lords promises in His Word to watch over and to protect Jerusalem, the city that bears His Name. Let God arise and rejoice as He confounds every enemy of Israel, by His mighty hand!

- "Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!" (Psalm 68:1)

6. Pastors take on IRS in plan to preach politics from the pulpit - Fox News

More than 1,000 religious leaders across America took part Sunday in "Pulpit Freedom Sunday," a plan that has pastors endorsing political candidates from the pulpit in defiance of an Internal Revenue Service rule.

- Lord, we pray for these courageus leaders. Give them the right words and may the people have open ears to hear truth. Arise church and cast out fear. May Your leaders and people all over this country take a stand to protect freedom. As Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address, may we have a new birth of freedom under God. We pray for an increase from 25% of Christians voting to all of Your people voting and that You would show them who to vote for. As the church goes so goes the nation. In the name of Jesus, the Savior, we pray. Amen.

- Therefore He says: Arise, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light. (Ephesians 5:14)

1. 'Israel could act solo against Iran within 6 to 8 months,' says Shoval - Israel Hayom

Israeli leaders remain intent on acting to degrade Iran's nuclear capabilities, probably within six to eight months, and Israel believes it has the capability to succeed in such a mission, an envoy of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Foreign Policy's The Cable on Friday.

2. Barak, Netanyahu 'agree on all Iran-related issues' - Ynet News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has summoned Ehud Barak for a meeting Saturday evening during which he is expected to reprimand the defense minister and "demand clarifications regarding Barak's uncoordinated talks with American government officials, which contradicted the prime minister's instructions," an aide said.

3. Patriot missile battery deployed in Carmel region - Ynet News

Just two days after the Israeli Air Force successfully shot down a drone that penetrated Israel's airspace through the Mediterranean Sea, a Patriot missile battery was deployed in the Carmel region in northern Israel.

4. Dozens of rockets, mortars hit south - Ynet News

Terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip fired some 55 rockets and mortar shells at southern Israel early Monday morning. The shells landed in communities in the Eshkol Regional Council. 5. Israel reportedly fears drone was sent by Iran to spy on Dimona nuclear plant - Times of Israel

Israeli security officials are reportedly examining the possibility that a drone shot down deep in Israeli territory on Saturday may have been despatched in a Hezbollah-Iranian operation and may have been sent to surveil the Dimona nuclear site.

Iran's nuclear program and the prospects of Ezekiel 38

Persia, which is modern Iran, is specifically named as one of the nations that come against Israel in the Ezekiel 38 account of a colossal end time battle where the Lord's fury destroys the armies of Gog, the leader of the attack. Much has been speculated on how Iran's race to have a nuclear weapon plays into this end time scenario. A recent report by the Institute for Science and International Security indicates that Iran could be 2-4 months from producing a significant quantity of weapons grade uranium. If indeed, Iran obtained a nuclear weapon, what impact does this have in bringing the Ezekiel 38 scenario closer to reality?

The Institute says, "the estimates do not include the time necessary for the nuclear weaponization process...Iran would thus need many additional months to manufacture a nuclear device suitable for underground testing and even longer to make a reliable warhead for a ballistic missile." The Institute says this could take up to two years. The Institute recommends more of the same measures that have proven ineffectual to date: "...cap Iran's enrichment of uranium to five percent...avoid escalation of the Iranian nuclear crisis, first by negotiating such a confidence building measure and then by negotiating lasting agreements which ensure Iran will not build nuclear weapons."

Iran having a nuclear weapon is not in the best interest of any human being, including Iran. Iran's leadership has repeatedly stated it wished to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. America is next on Iran's list. But what does this mean to the Biblical prophecy in Ezekiel. A coalition of the nations mentioned would have to be emboldened enough to join together and come against Israel "as a cloud to cover the land. (Ezekiel 38:15)." These nations, according to ancient maps and historic texts are: Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Gomar, Togarmah (all located in modern Turkey); Persia (Iran); Ethiopia (Sudan and North Eastern Africa) and Libya (Libya and North Western Africa).

Some believe that the Ezekiel 38 battle involves a man-made nuclear weapon. Ezekiel 38:21 says the Islamic aggressors turn on one another, "every man's sword shall be against his brother." In that case, it is possible that they nuke each other, but not likely. Ezekiel 38 says there will be a great earthquake in Israel, the mountains will be leveled, there will be rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone. YHVH says he does these things "that the heathen may know me" and "I will be known in the eyes of many nations and they shall know that I am YHVH." Iran having a nuclear weapon may embolden the Ezekiel 38 coalition to attack Israel, but the world will know it is YHVH who defeats the coalition with His own power.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Bishop is calling African Americans out of the Democratic Party

(Repeating this one by popular demand!)

This video was produced by Bishop E.W. Jackson, a Harvard educated lawyer and pastor from Chesapeake, Virginia, who leads a conservative political organization: S.T.A.N.D. (Standing True to America's National Destiny).

He is working to build a movement: "Exodus Now" calling African Americans out of the Democratic Party. Watch his brief video addressed to African American pastors here.

Legislation to Watch

Ellison Introduces "Strengthening Refugee Resettlement Act"

WASHINGTON--Rep. Keith Ellison (MN-05) today introduced the "Strengthening Refugee Resettlement Act," which increases coordination and provides much-needed resources for new Americans fleeing war, persecution, or natural disaster.

The bill streamlines refugee processing abroad, while taking advantage of that processing time to provide refugees with English classes and work orientation training. It also allows refugees to be admitted to the United States as lawful permanent residents, saving scarce government and non-governmental organization (NGO) resources.

The bill strengthens refugee integration into local communities. In particular, it expands the public-private Matching Grant program, which has been highly successful in helping refugees become economically self-sufficient.

"America's refugee program should reflect our values of generosity and inclusion for all Americans-new and old. The 'Strengthening Refugee Resettlement Act' achieves this by making sure refugee families have the resources they need to be self-sufficient as quickly as possible. Strengthening support not only helps the 34,000 refugees who have come to Minnesota since 2000, but improves America's image abroad."

According to the University of Minnesota, Minnesota has historically had the highest number of refugees per capita. Between 1999 and 2007, over 34,000 people were resettled in Minnesota, from 30 different countries. Over 50,000 Somalis alone-many of them refugee--currently live in Minnesota. (Press Release from the Office of Congressman Keith Ellison) Read more.
- We do not mean to be unkind to our refugees, but in the current economic climate, could not our tax money be spent in more productive ways? And given the fact that Rep. Ellison is one of two Moslem members of Congress, might there also be a hidden agenda in this bill?
Ask our Lord to grant His wisdom to the returning "lame duck" Congress later this year when it considers this bill. Pray that it dies on the vine, never to be heard from again. Pray!
- "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

'Mix It Up' Day at School

Schools respond to 'Mix It Up at Lunch' day

Planned for Tuesday, October 30, 2012

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) exposed

The homosexual activist group, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), has been called to task by public school administrators across the nation for falsely listing schools as participants in "Mix It Up" day without authorization or permission.

"Mix It Up" day is an entry-level "diversity" program designed specifically by SPCL to establish the acceptance of homosexuality into public schools, including elementary and junior high schools.
Many school administrators were offended to learn that their school was listed as a "participating" school on the SPLC website and ordered it removed immediately. In some cases, students or teachers independently signed the school up without approval, leaving principals and superintendents unprepared for phone calls from concerned parents.
Take Action

See if your child's school is on the list. If it is, contact your school administrator and politely ask if the school has authorized a pro-homosexual organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center, to list the school as an official participant in "Mix It Up" day.

Regardless, ask the school administrator to contact the SPLC and insist the school's name be removed from its list. They can email SPLC at www.tolerance.org/contact-form or call them directly at 334-956-8200.

IRS Looks to Pulpits for Culprits

IRS Looks to Pulpits for Culprits

Some Americans could use a sermon on politics -- and yesterday, they got one! More than 1,400 pastors joined Pulpit Freedom Sunday, challenging the IRS's rules on what churches can and can't say about elections. The project, part of Alliance Defending Freedom's outreach, was first introduced to FRC's pastors network in 2008. Since then, the number of churches involved has absolutely exploded, making yesterday's event the most successful yet. ADF launched the initiative in hopes of challenging a 1954 tax code called the Johnson Amendment, which bans tax-exempt organizations from making political endorsements. "The purpose is to make sure that the pastor and not the IRS decides what is said from the pulpit," said ADF's Erik Stanley. If the IRS does take action on the thousands of recorded sermons that will be flooding its offices from yesterday, one thing's for sure. ADF will be ready! To read more about Pulpit Freedom Sunday, don't miss Ken Klukowski's new column on Breitbart. (FRC)

Lawmakers from around the world gather in Jerusalem

Two-day conference of Christian parliamentarians aims to send a message to Iran about Israel's longevity.

Dozens of Christian parliament members from 18 countries around the world will come to Jerusalem on Tuesday for a two-day conference in which they intend to send Iran a message about Israel's longevity.

The parliament members will hold a press conference with Diaspora Affairs Minister Yuli Edelstein and former tourism minister Benny Elon, who serves as president of the Israel Allies Foundation, an umbrella group of pro- Israel parliament members across the globe that has offices in Jerusalem, Washington and Brussels.

"The participation of dozens of MP's from around the world is a show of strength and sends a strong message of identification with the Israeli government's struggle to end the Iranian nuclear program," Elon said.

"The representatives that come to Jerusalem are true ambassadors of Israel and the Jewish people to nations around the world. The partnership between the Jewish people and representatives of the free world is the only way to ensure that we will overcome all the threats that jeopardize Israel's security and risk world peace."

Even organizers said that during the press conference the caucus representatives will present a solution to combat the Iranian nuclear threat. A formal resolution will be presented to the Israeli government.

Congressmen will come from the US and members of parliament from Canada, Brazil, Finland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, the Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Uruguay, Portugal, United Kingdom, Estonia, Hungary and Spain.

During the conference, the visiting politicians will discuss ways to strengthen their support for Israel and will meet with Israeli officials.

Besides Iran, the conference will focus on Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital and the issue of Jewish and Arab refugees. (Jerusalem Post) Read more.
