The landmark Iran nuclear deal poses a threat to both Israel and the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told NBC News' Lester Holt on Wednesday.

"We think this is not only a threat to us. We think this is a threat to you as well," Netanyahu said, a day after Iran and six world powers, including the U.S., reached the historic agreement. "Iran has killed more Americans than anyone other than al Qaeda."

"They're going to get hundreds of billions of dollars to fuel their terror and military machine," he added. (Read more)

2. UK's Hammond: Israel doesn't want any deal with Iran, it wants a permanent state of stand-off - Jerusalem Post

Britain's Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond told parliament on Wednesday that Israel would not have been satisfied with any kind of nuclear deal with Iran, dismissing criticism of the agreement struck between Tehran and foreign powers.

"The question you have to ask yourself is what kind of a deal would have been welcomed in Tel Aviv. The answer of course is that Israel doesn't want any deal with Iran," Hammond said in response to an opposition legislator who said he objected to the agreement and cited dismay in Tel Aviv. 3. AIPAC tells Congress to reject Iran deal; J Street to support it - Times of Israel

WASHINGTON (JTA) - AIPAC called on Congress to reject the Iran nuclear deal, saying it does not meet critical markers that the influential pro-Israel lobby outlined in recent weeks. But the liberal Jewish Middle East lobby J Street announced a multimillion-dollar campaign to support the agreement.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee made its case against in a statement Wednesday delivered after President Barack Obama conducted a news conference of more than an hour defending the deal achieved a day earlier. (Read more)

4. Iranian officials calling for Israel's destruction to enjoy sanctions relief - YNET News

The lion's share of the historic nuclear deal signed with Iran on Tuesday focuses on the removal of sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic. Tehran will be able to export oil without restrictions, its officials could fly without limitations, the country's assets will be unfrozen, and more.

Out of the 159 pages of the agreement and its annexes, most of them are dedicated to a list of individuals, organizations and companies who will be rewarded with some sanctions relief.

One of the names on the list led to surprise and speculation - General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's elite Quds Force since 1998, a unit responsible for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' operations outside of the country. (Read more)

5. Air force strikes Gaza after rocket hits South - Times of Israel

Rocket alert sirens rang out early Thursday morning in towns near the Gaza Strip after a missile was fired from the Palestinian territory. The air force struck the Gaza Strip hours later in response.

The IDF said one rocket fired from the coastal enclave struck an open area of southern Israel after Code Red alerts went off in the southern city of Ashkelon and in communities nearby. (Read more)

6. Syrian army, Hezbollah advance in city near Lebanon border - Jerusalem Post

BEIRUT - The Syrian army backed by Lebanese ally Hezbollah has advanced deeper into the besieged Syrian city of Zabadani two weeks into a campaign to capture it from insurgents, rebels and the army said.

The control of the city, about 45 km (30 miles) northwest of the capital Damascus, is seen as crucial to consolidate government-held areas linking Lebanon and Syria. Zabadani is a former popular resort on the main Beirut-Damascus highway.

Hezbollah militiamen and the army, aided by reinforcements, advanced closer to Zabadani's center under cover of heavy artillery fire and intense aerial bombardments of insurgent hideouts, rebels and the army said. (Read more)

7. 'Bookkeeper of Auschwitz' found guilty by German court - Reuters

A 94-year-old German man known as the "bookkeeper of Auschwitz" was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the murder of 300,000 people at the Nazi death camp, in what could be one of the last big Holocaust trials.

Betraying little emotion, white-haired Oskar Groening sat with his arms crossed, looking around the court room while the judge explained the verdict. (Read more)

1. Obama Turns to U.N. to Outmaneuver Congress - Foreign Policy

Last March, 47 Republicans led by Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas wrote a letter warning Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that a future U.S. president could legally revoke any nuclear deal that had been negotiated by Barack Obama's administration with the stroke of a pen. They clearly didn't realize that the White House has a way of making that much harder to do.

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, on Monday circulated a legally binding draft to the 15-member U.N. Security Council that, if adopted, would give the body's backing to the landmark nuclear pact trading billions of dollars in sanctions relief for greater international scrutiny of Iran's nuclear energy program. It also instructs states to refrain from taking any actions that would undermine the agreement. The 14-page draft resolution, obtained by Foreign Policy, is likely to be put to a vote by early next week.

The decision to take the deal to the Security Council before the U.S. Congress has concluded its own deliberations on the agreement places lawmakers in the uncomfortable position of potentially breaching a binding resolution by voting down the deal. The strategy has infuriated some Republican lawmakers, who see the administration making an end run around Congress. (Read more)

When President Obama called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday to discuss the nuclear deal with Iran, the American president offered the Israeli leader, who had just deemed the agreement a "historic mistake," a consolation prize: a fattening of the already generous military aid package the United States gives Israel. Israel forcefully rejected Thursday US President Barack Obama's assertion that critics of the nuclear agreement with Iran have failed to present better options, arguing that a good deal is still possible if the international community, led by Washington, maintains the sanctions regime on Tehran.

"We have consistently laid out an alternative, which is a better deal that actually blocks Iran's path to the bomb and links the lifting of restrictions on Iran to tangible changes in Iranian behavior," a senior Israeli official said.(Read more)

4. Chattanooga shooting: 4 Marines killed - CNN

Four Marines were killed in Thursday's shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a senior defense official told CNN's Barbara Starr. The families of those killed are being notified of their deaths, the official said. The suspected shooter is also dead, Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke said Investigators "have not determined whether it was an act of terrorism or whether it was a criminal act," FBI special agent in charge Ed Reinhold told reporters. "We are looking at every possible avenue, whether it was terrorism -- whether it was domestic, international -- or whether it was a simple, criminal act."
- Father, we pray Your comfort for the families of the 4 Marines who died in his horrific incident. We ask Your healing touch over the officer who is recovering from surgery. We loose Your Spirit of wisdom over the authorities who must investigate this incident and ask that all facts and information be gathered quickly and properly.

Despite the nature and severity of the attack, which French investigations have conceded was deliberate and with a delicious turn of French understatement "malicious", yesterday's explosions at the Berre L'Etang refinery in second city Marseilles failed to make the front page of a single English-language newspaper this morning.  (Read more)

Eleven commercial flights reported lasers pointed at them Wednesday night as they flew over New Jersey -- the latest in a growing number of such dangerous incidents plaguing U.S. skies. (Read more)  
- Father, this dangerous situation can cause planes to crash. We ask that You help us find the perpetrators of this laser issue. We also pray that You will protect the pilots of all airplanes - both commercial and private - from such dangers. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

7. 'Playing army': Military reservists with DEA jobs say agency bosses ridiculed their service - Fox News

More than a dozen senior Drug Enforcement Administration agents who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan as military reservists claim their bosses within the law enforcement agency ridiculed their service, assigned them to jobs their war injuries made especially difficult -- and, in one case, allegedly planted a cellphone in an agent's car to track his movements and record conversations. - Lord, it is unconscionable that the DEA hierarchy would treat US veterans -their own agents- so poorly, even to tracking their movements! We bind the spirit that is causing these issues, and ask that justice be forthcoming for these men. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

9. Obama makes 1st visit by sitting president to federal prison - Fox News

From the White House to the big house, President Obama made an unprecedented presidential visit to a federal prison Thursday as part of his push for changes to the criminal justice system. The president, after issuing dozens of commutations and tackling the subject during an NAACP address earlier this week, toured the El Reno Federal Correctional Institution, a medium-security prison for male offenders near Oklahoma City.

He met separately Thursday with law enforcement officials and nonviolent drug offenders doing time there. In a brief statement to the media, Obama lamented the "huge surge" in incarceration since 1980, and said a primary driver of that is America's drug laws. "We have to consider whether this is the smartest way for us to control crime," Obama said.

Obama has expressed hope that Congress will send him legislation to address the issue before he leaves office in 18 months, given the level of interest in the issue among Republican lawmakers and presidential candidates . . . (Read more)

As our members of Congress begin to pick up this call to action, we ask that You would guide each one with Your firm Hand, that they not move too quickly in making these changes. Former President George H.W. Bush was in stable condition late Wednesday after breaking a bone in his neck in a fall at his Maine home, his spokesman said. "He is fine -- but he'll be in a neck brace," Spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted about the 41st president. (Read more)

Iran deal a prophetic milestone

The "president" is making a big deal about his recently signed deal with Iran that will assuredly allow the terrorist sponsoring state to develop a nuclear weapon. The White House is hailing the agreement as a breakthrough for peace, but those who watch closely the affairs and politics of the Middle East know better. It is beyond reason that any deal voluntarily agreed to by Iran would be good for world peace. Israel, who has the most to lose because Iran continuously calls for the annihilation of Israel, is livid. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared in response: "The world is a much more dangerous place today than it was yesterday." Notwithstanding, the US "president" was true to his word.

The Iran agreement is the very political result of "Blackmail Diplomacy" announced by then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel at the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee meeting on May 5, 2009. Emanuel said, "Israel now faces a moment of truth--it can either acquiesce to international demands and in return have its most serious threats dealt with, or maintain the status quo and have those threats persist." Emanuel was saying that the White House would ignore Iran's nuclear threat, if Israel did not buckle to demands over a Palestinian state. This is exactly what happened. Israel refused to cut its nation in half with the proposed Palestinian state, and the "president" paved the way for Iranian nuclear weapons.

True to his word, Netanyahu is telling the world what a bad deal it is to have a terrorist state receiving billions of US dollars in cash while building toward a nuclear weapon over the next ten years--which is what this Iranian deal allows. Netanyahu said in a statement after the announcement of the deal, "In the coming decade, the deal will reward Iran, the terrorist regime in Tehran, with hundreds of billions of dollars. This cash bonanza will fuel Iran's terrorism worldwide, its aggression in the region and its efforts to destroy Israel, which are ongoing...in a decade this deal will give an unreformed, unrepentant and far richer terrorist regime the capacity to produce many nuclear bombs...What a stunning historic mistake!"

The sad truth is that the country that has been a historical beacon of advancing Christianity, the US, is implicit in advancing the prophecy clock of the antichrist and the end times. The "president" may believe there were no consequences to advancing the Islamic agenda at Israel's expense. But look at our nation. Those who have given up on finding a job are at a record high; those on government entitlements are at a record high; the morals of the nation are at a record low; our borders are not secure; our debt is at a record high, and so on. We are already seeing the consequences of turning against God and Israel over the past decade, just as Zechariah 12:4 says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces..." We need to repent by not accepting this deal.

Canada against Iran Deal: Why They're Keeping Their Sanctions
against the Islamic Republic

The Canadian sanctions against the Islamic Republic will not be removed and Ottawa will not renew diplomatic ties with Tehran, which were severed in 2012.
The world is rushing to establish diplomatic and economic ties with Iran following the signing of an accord with the P5+1 powers regarding its nuclear program on Tuesday. However, Canada has stated it will keep its sanctions in place, at least for now, despite the agreement.

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Rob Nicholson issued a statement on Wednesday saying that Canada "appreciates" the efforts made by the six world powers to reach the agreement.
Nevertheless, "at the same time, we will continue to judge Iran by its actions, not its words. To this end, Canada will continue to support the efforts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to monitor Iran's compliance with its commitments."

Nicholson stressed that Iran still constitutes a "significant threat to international peace and security owing to the regime's nuclear ambitions, its continuing support for terrorism, its repeated calls for the destruction of Israel and its disregard for basic human rights.

Twenty-four hours later, the extent of Obama's nuclear sellout is becoming obvious. Keep in mind who we are dealing with.

On the one hand you have the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, whose leaders vow to wipe Israel off the map, refer to America as "the great Satan" and have repeatedly cheated on existing international agreements.

On the other hand, we have a president who traded five Taliban leaders for one deserter, who makes red lines and then erases them, who underestimated the threat from ISIS, calling it "junior varsity," and who has repeatedly misled the American people on issues like marriage, taxes and Obamacare.

Now we're being asked to accept a deal -- involving nuclear weapons -- that these two sides have negotiated!

I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere buried in the pages of this deal is an agreement to trade the Brooklyn Bridge for Aladdin's magic lamp. Used car dealers have more credibility. (Gary Bauer)

Last week, Obama sent personal letters to 46 drug offenders whose sentences he commuted, even though drugs are a scourge afflicting minority communities. Meanwhile, the Obama Administration has said nothing about the brutal murder of Kathryn Steinle.

We have marveled before at who the president thinks is worthy of his attention. When Sandra Fluke testified that American people needed to pay for her contraception, Obama called to say how proud he was of her.

When certain shootings occur under sketchy circumstances, he calls the victims' families and sends administration officials to the funerals. But when a woman is gunned down by an illegal immigrant, there is silence. Why the double standard? (Gary Bauer)

Congress Calls for Probe Over Planned Parenthood Alleged
"Trafficked Body Parts"

The incriminating video showing a Planned Parenthood executive casually sipping wine while speaking about selling aborted baby parts has sparked protests on Capitol Hill.

(Washington, DC)-[CBN News] There is growing outrage on Capitol Hill over new allegations that Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts. Congress now says it will investigate the charges.

A video recorded last year reportedly shows Dr. Deborah Nucatola, a Planned Parenthood executive, casually sipping wine while speaking about aborted baby parts with two actors posing as reps from a human biologics company.

"We've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver because we know that, so I'm not gonna crush that part, I'm gonna basically crush below, I'm gonna crush above, and I'm gonna see if I can get it all intact," she tells them.
The video sparked protests on Capitol Hill.

"America should not be giving one penny to an organization that traffics in baby parts," Rev. Pat Mahoney, with the Christian Defense Coalition, said.

"Planned Parenthood's practice of brutally dismembering young and defenseless human beings is outrageous and atrocious enough. And these new revelations seal the deal," James Conrad, with Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, said.

Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, says this practice is not new and he's seen order forms for fetal hearts, lungs, livers, brains and even eyes.

"This is horrific enough. This is offensive enough to the American people that it [warrants] a congressional investigation," he said.
Three Republican-led congressional committees have already announced they will in fact investigate whether Planned Parenthood is selling organs from aborted babies.

"When an organization monetizes an unborn child-and with the cavalier attitude portrayed in this horrific video-we must all act," House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said.

Boehner also called on the White House to "denounce and stop these gruesome practices."
Planned Parenthood spokesman Eric Ferrero defended the organization on Wednesday. "These outrageous claims are flat-out untrue, but that doesn't matter to politicians with a longstanding political agenda to ban abortion and defund Planned Parenthood," Ferrero said.

The abortion provider says it's only been donating the body parts at the wish of the mothers and any money received is to reimburse it for transporting those body parts.

Ferrero said women donating fetal tissue for research "should be honored, not attacked and demeaned."

Federal law prohibits the sale of body parts of aborted babies. But experts say the law is so narrow and weak that Planned Parenthood may still be technically in compliance. (Read more here)

Family Research Council Applauds House Investigation into Explosive Planned Parenthood Report
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This afternoon the House Energy and Commerce Committee launched an investigation following the release of a video revealing the Planned Parenthood Senior Director of Medical Services discussing the sale of fetal body parts.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement:
"Trafficking in human body parts is something you would expect to hear coming from some rogue nation, not a taxpayer funded organization in the United States. Selling baby body parts not only reveals a disregard for the law, it shows a total disregard for human dignity.

"Planned Parenthood has been repeatedly caught on video engaging in unethical and possibly illegal activity. It is time for Congress to end taxpayer involvement in this immoral enterprise.

"Yesterday's explosive report suggests that Planned Parenthood has engaged in fetus farming for organs, and may have violated various laws restricting pain capable abortions. Planned Parenthood may have also violated the law criminalizing partial birth abortion. I called on Congress to investigate these atrocities and applaud the news today that the House leadership is directing committees to investigate. The Senate should do the same.
"Family Research Council commends U.S. Reps. Fred Upton (R-MI), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Tim Murphy (R-PA), and Joe Pitts (R-PA) for their work to make this investigation possible. We also thank Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) for working with the relevant committees to make this investigation possible.

"The Nanumba of Ghana"

Abdallah is one of around 100,000 people who identify as Nanumbas. With his family, he lives in the traditional capital of his people group - Bimbilla, which is located in the south-eastern corner of the Northern Region of Ghana. As a true Nanumba, Abdallah was brought up a Muslim. However, in his daily life animism plays an equally significant role.
Asked why he became a Christian, he tells this story with a smile, "Because I have seen the light! I had been seeing it now and then for many years, an indescribably pure light. It was different from the lights I had seen in connection with witchcraft or evil spirits! One night in my dream I saw this light rising over my daughter. Shortly after that, a pastor from a brother tribe came to my house and invited my daughter to get schooling at his wife's school. Because of the dream, I agreed. I even allowed her to tell us what she had learned during school devotions."
"At that time I was seriously ill. One day, the headmistress felt led to pray for the sick relatives of her pupils. That morning while lying on my mat I suddenly saw the light and was instantly healed. When my daughter told me about the prayers, I knew where my healing had come from. I started attending church with my daughter. The pastor took time to explain the gospel to me and after some weeks my daughter and I trusted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour."
In this remote corner of a remote region of Western Africa, the light of Jesus is shining like a candle in the darkness.

How can we pray?

That God prepares many other Nanumbas for an encounter with Christians.

That the few Christians in Bimbilla (mainly workers from other tribes) develop a zeal to reach out to the Nanumbas.

There's A Seismic Disaster Building That Will Devastate The Pacific Northwest

The Pacific Northwest is due for a powerful earthquake that will devastate the region. While it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly when this earthquake will strike, experts suggest that the odds of the 140,000-square-mile region being hit in the next half century are about one in three, and the odds of an even larger event taking place are roughly one in 10.

That's the conclusion of the terrifying and gripping report by Kathryn Schulz for The New Yorker. Schulz highlights the disastrous impact that the lesser-known fault line - the Cascadia subduction zone - could have when it produces a powerful, tsunami-causing earthquake. Schulz writes that the major quake could leave everything west of Interstate 5, which includes Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and portions of western Oregon, "unrecognizable." These areas are home to seven million people.
The Cascadia subduction zone lies offshore from northern California to southwestern British Columbia. The zone is where two tectonic plates - the North America plate and the Juan de Fuca plate - meet; they are currently "wedged" against each other. Schulz explains that there is a "backstop," or an immobile mass, in the center of North America, which will eventually "rebound like a spring."

"If, on that occasion, only the southern part of the Cascadia subduction zone gives way . . .The magnitude of the resulting quake will be somewhere between 8.0 and 8.6. That's the big one. If the entire zone gives way at once, an event that seismologists call a full-margin rupture, the magnitude will be somewhere between 8.7 and 9.2. That's the very big one," Schulz writes. New Cancer Treatment During Pregnancy Can Save Both Mother and Baby

(Leuven, Belgium)-When cancer occurred during pregnancy in the past, often the child was sacrificed to treat the mother, and sometimes the mother sacrificed herself to save the child. But, according to the magazine Cancer World, the pioneering work of a Belgian medical researcher has meant that, over the past decade, more and more often, both mother and baby are saved.

Cancer of any kind is rare in pregnant women, with 1 case per 1,000 to 2,000 pregnancies. But the incidence appears to be increasing as women delay pregnancy.

When Dr. Frederic Amant graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven with a Ph.D. in 2002, Cancer World relates, he found that little attention was paid to the convergence between cancer and pregnancy because of its rarity. The result was that when the occasion did arise, matters too often ended in death for the unborn child or mother, but mostly for the child.

Amant decided to specialize as a gynecological oncologist. Leuven's university hospital did not offer such a position, so he went to South Africa. His alma mater did eventually establish a spot for him, so he returned to Leuven to build a team-a team that has since gathered data and developed techniques to prevent hundreds of unnecessary abortions being done.
