1. Obama: Palestinian State Must be Based in Pre-1967 Borders - Fox News

Obama, in a sweeping address tackling the uprisings in the Middle East and the stalled peace process, on Thursday endorsed Palestinians' demand for their own state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war.

Lord we are grieved and appalled at this break from long-standing US policy. We fall to our knees before You and plead for mercy for Your people. We ask that this administration be removed from power in the upcoming elections, and that strong relations with Israel be restored. In the meantime, Father remember that in spite of our leadership, Your people who love Israel remain united for her.

- "O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in Your wrath remember mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2b)

2. Israeli P.M. Netanyahu Rejects Obama's Call to Pull Back - Fox News

Says Israel's '67 Borders are "Indefensible"

- God, hold PM Netanyahu steady to stay with the point of the issue at hand and not be taken off course. Wrap him in the folds of Your presence and speak into his ears "thus says the Lord." Stabilize him. Fill him with sound confidence that God is with him and the angels of heaven are around him. Father, let nothing jar his assurance that he is God-called to this leadership position of the greatest nation on earth. Nothing shall shake him. Hold up Your hand, God, against all the powers of hell that come against him. Secure him from heaven and he shall hold his course firm to the end. In Jesus Name.

[Prayer repeated from yesterday . . . please continue to agree, even as this news has come upon Israel today.]

- "You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you: and the light shall shine upon your ways." (Job 22:28)

The Senate on Wednesday rejected Republican-backed legislation intended to speed up and expand offshore oil and gas drilling.

- "For wisdom is a defense even as money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom shields and preserves the life of him who has it." (Eccl 7:12)

__Thank You, Lord that this subterfuge was found by someone and revealed. We pray that all plans of Iran be blocked and that their desires toward the West and Israel be denied.

--Pray that Israel's borders will not be challenged by further protests and that Gaza, nor the "West Bank" will not rise up in violence while Bibi is away.
--Pray that the media would treat Bibi with respect and that they would accurately report what he is saying, without adding their biased commentary and negative spin.
--Pray that the demands put forth by Bibi to the Congress will be embraced, supported, and applauded by that joint session.
--Pray that God will arise and scatter all of Israel's enemies, as He arises to defend His land and His people.
--Pray down all future manifestations of a Third Intifada. Remove traction from all incoming plans and terror attacks.

An understanding of heart for a prophetic journey

Thursday, May 19, 2011

In his 20th year of captivity, Nehemiah inquired of men from Jerusalem who had escaped captivity. They told him (Nehemiah 1:3), "The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire." Nehemiah writes, "And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven." Nehemiah then turned his petition to the Lord into action. By the grace of God, he was granted permission to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.

Those opposing Nehemiah were the enemies of God--Sanballat the Horonite, who was of Samaritan descent and a leader of the Persian Achaemenid Empire; Tobiah, an ammonite, who worshiped the false god moloch that required child sacrifices; and Geshem, the Arabian. All these men seem to portray modern principalities that oppose not only the one true God, but also represent those who are false gods, require children to die, and are of Islam. These are the very people who oppose the United States, and more directly, pure Christianity in the United States. These are the same people who today are tearing down this society. And, by our inaction, (many) Christians are allowing it, sometimes even aiding and abetting it.

These laughed at, scorned, and despised Nehemiah, saying, "What is this thing that you do? Will you rebel against the king?" In essence, that is what the enemies of God are saying to the remnant even today. In fact, tares within Christianity will that Christians be distracted from rebuilding and restoring their families, their communities, their states, their nation. They vehemently stand against it, saying even God is in control, you have no faith if you pursue such righteousness. Or they say that it is not our right to impose our beliefs upon others--even Christians are saying these things. They ridicule those with the prophetic destiny of returning hearts toward the salt and light commandments of Jesus.

Nehemiah responds in 2:20: "Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem." And he led prayer to action and risking life and limb, rebuilt the wall even as his workers were attacked by the godless, the child sacrificers and the Arabs. I say to you today that the walls of your family, your community, your nation need rebuilding. The opposition is fierce. But the opposition has no portion, nor right, nor memorial to prevent the remnant from walking in its prophetic destiny. If you are reading this, you have been notified. You are accountable to God Almighty.

The Good News Corner:

"So Help Me God" Will Stay In Presidential Oath

The US Supreme Court on Monday refused to take up an atheist challenge to the use of the phrase, "So help me God," at the conclusion of the presidential oath of office during a president-elect's inauguration. The lawsuit initially asked a federal judge to block Chief Justice John Roberts from reciting "So help me God" while administering the oath in January 2009 to Obama. It also sought an order preventing two members of the clergy from conducting an invocation and benediction during the 2009 inauguration. A federal judge threw the suit out, ruling that the atheists lacked the necessary legal standing to bring the litigation. - Jewish World Review
